Enjoyed our stay. Friendly staff. Reserved corner rooms which worked well for family. Convenient to major sites/attractions in old town.

I couldn’t fault The hotel Amira, rooms were nice and lovely and clean but the stand out for me was the staff they were so friendly welcoming and helpful and it made it a pleasure to stay. If ever I went back to Istanbul I wouldn’t hesitate to stay there again.

I like that the air conditioning does not work at the beginning of December so we were able to stay very warm in our bedrooms. I have never stayed in a place where the stains on the carpet and bedspread looked like frescos from historic times.

Super friendly & helpful staff. Always with a smile and willingness to accommodate and provide the best information. I will choose this hotel once again.

Sam at the front desk was extremely helpful and suggested an amazing pizza spot. Staff in restaurant was prompt and polite. Rooftop restaurant was closed for season but provides a great view. Cutest woman making bread was a nice extra. Close to everything

4 days in Istambul

Staff was very nice and helpful. The property was clean. Food was good. The only problem was to get in and out of the shower which was very high.

Seaview with terrace room

Our room was very much in need of refurbishment. Many areas were unacceptable. Dirty stained carpet. Bathroom grout needs replacing Grubby chair in our lounge area The list was long That said the staff were amazing especially Volcan who went the extra mile. Ask him to give you directions to a nearby restaurant. Best chicken kebab we’ve ever had Location of hotel is at the bottom of Sultanahmet, so walking to the tram and therefore all the sites are accessed up a quite steep hill But overall a good location with lots of nearby restaurants and shops Breakfast was normal Turkey style fare with the added extra of the “pancake” in the side room We had the top floor Seaview with terrace Perfect if you are a smoker or want to enjoy sunset drinks.

Our room was so much better than expected and I definitely recommend the hotel for those searching for quite and a comfortable stay. Our stay at the Amira was wonderful,the location is very convenient ,in a great neighborhood,close to the major sights and the tram stop. The staff were super helpful,friendly and had great advice and recommendations it made our stay more special.The room was very clean and comfortable and had everything we needed.

Our room, the staff, and the breakfast were all amazing, and Furkan was super helpful in coordinating activities for us prior to our arrival. I would stay here again in a heartbeat.

Just issue with air conditioner it didn’t work, but the temperature outside made it pleasant to stay. The towel dryer also don’t work, need to be careful with getting in bathtub but everything else was great.

This charming hotel is well located amongst meandering narrow streets. There is a-lovely rooftop bar and restaurant to see the sunset. Most of all, the staff is wonderful and so helpful with taxi fares and Istanbul informational maps. We loved this hotel.

We enjoyed our two nights stay at the Amira. The room was very spacious & the bed was very comfortable however the comforter was smaller than the king size bed so difficult for two people to share. The shower was wonderful & the bathroom in general was well equipped. The staff were exceptional & the breakfast was good.

We came back after 2026 stay ; both times received excellent help from staff and like room and location

Great Hotel near to Old Town

Spent 5 nights in Istanbul and this hotel met our needs perfectly: lovely breakfast, great rooftop bar and easy walking to the old town sights and tram connections. Would thoroughly recommend.

We enjoyed the hotel, it is close to Sultanahmed square, 10 min, it is uphill but it was no problem for us. They have a nice breakfast and a lovely lady making fresh gozleme every morning! Yumm!

It’s a small boutique hotel but the staffs were exceptionally friendly. They even have a gym on the basement. The room had a great view with a lovely balcony The room was spacious and clean. The bathroom has a bath(not a shower booth) but I was okay. They have rooftop bar/restaurant and the morning sea view from there is really nice. I wish I could stay longer to sit there to enjoy the sunset view but didn’t have time. It’s right next to small Camii called little Hagia Sofia which is a bit quieter area to walk around

This has been the best stay in Turkey so far! The Concierge Services were outstanding. They are very knowledgeable and gave us all the information we needed for sightseeing, great recommendations on how to navigate the city and what to do and they helped us book a wonderful experience at the Bosphorus. The room was excellent and the amenities as well. The terrace bar is beautiful and the view is fantastic. The staff was also very friendly and went above and beyond to make sure our stay was perfect. If we come back to Istanbul, I will only stay here.

Perfect location!

This charming little hotel in Turkey is perfectly located within walking distance to everything. The staff are exceptional, attending to every need. Even at 3 AM, they waited outside with us for our taxi, purely out of courtesy, despite the area being safe. I highly recommend this place to anyone!

It was a lovely experience staying in the old town district. You get to a traditional experience in many ways. The hotel was walking distance to the Blue Most, lots of shopping places. Overall, it was an enjoyable stay Small boutique hotel with great staff

Quaint, clean and well located hotel to all the major tourist attractions which are walking distance. The staff are very helpful in providing tips and guidance on what to do and best options etc.

Everything was perfect. Very friendly and accomodating staff. We had a layover, and they handled the transfers for us. Arriving late, we were still able to go up to the rooftop bar for drinks and dinner at 10 pm. Also,the breakfast was wonderful. Gozleme was made right in front of us, and there were so many offerings. Highly recommend.

The hotel was very convenient within easy walking distance of the Hippodrome, Blue Mosque, Hagia Sofia etc. Breakfast was great with customized Gozleme every day. The staff was very helpful and pleasant.

This hotel is incredible! The staff is so delightful and accommodating. The breakfast buffet was amazing with lots of selections. There’s also a woman who makes homemade crepes. The rooftop bar is also wonderful. I can’t say enough good things.

Lovely room in great location

I was given one of two rooms on the top floor of the hotel with a large private balcony looking over the bosphorus, very generously sized room with included lounging space, located in the heart of old town which is a close walk from many points of interest

Perfect location and super friendly staff.

The staff was exceptional in all aspects and personal. The breakfasts were very good and the location was great for touring many sites of interest. The roof top Resturant and viewing area had an exceptional view of water and sunset.

This hotel has the nicest team ever. We have no words to describe how amazing they are. Always with a smile on their faces and willing to help. Breakfast is so worth it, they have this lady making local bread which made it very special. Rooftop has amazing views. Location is perfect, you can walk everywhere. You only need a taxi when going from and to the airport which is good because taxis are the only part we didn’t like about Turkey. The hotel will help you with that as well so you don’t get ripped off. They have very good suggestions on what to do in Istanbul. The rooms are outdated but this wasn’t an issue at all. I would book this place again without thinking twice. There is a laundry place near by that picks up and delivers your clothes for a very reasonable price.

There was a problem in our Air Conditioning system in our room from the first day of our stay. However, the site worked tirelessly to fix the unit. They compensated us for the inconvenience by offering a second room that had AC working and also covered our airport transportation

This was a wonderful hotel. Rooms a little small but we managed. I did have to remember to step carefully over the bathroom threshold, getting into the tub shower, and of course the winding staircase. The Patio was very nice, we went up there most every night. The personnel were fantastic! Special kudos go to Mert at the front desk he went way beyond The normal service. Actually, all the staff did but I can’t remember all their names. Location was also terrific. Close to many of the major sights. Walking distance to most of the majors.

This hotel is walking distance to all the historical places Blue Mosque, castle and Grand Bazzar. Clean and they treated us so well. Best in class customer service.

helpful staff confusing and strange design definitely not a 4 star hotel

the hotel is 2 old building connected with each other in a weird way to go to your room you take the elevator (one elevator in one building} then you look for the right connection to the 2nd building which usually involved stairs up. staff was nice and helpful breakfast was ok. definitely not a 4 star hotel

Staff could not be more wonderful and helpful. Room was nice; bathroom was small but the shower was strong; the AC was a blessing! Breakfast was a large assortment of delicious foods ; the location was perfect for walking around the old town. And last, the rooftop bar is a beautiful spot to have a drink!

Has really great location. Wifi didn’t work during my stay and hotel had issues with gasoline smell unfortunately due to power outage.

What an amazing hotel staff! They are the friendliest, most helpful people you could find anywhere in the world, especially the concierges who went out of their way to help and offer advice. The hotel is very centrally located with a wonderful variety of breakfast options. The rooftop bar/restaurant was our choice every night because of the beautiful vantage point it was for views of the city and the Sea of Marmara. I highly recommend this hotel and highly commend its staff!

Hotel Amira had excellent service. It’s in a great location and the staff is super friendly and helpful. The breakfast was a great way to start the day. It also smells heavenly when you walk through the door!

We were in Istanbul for a 2 day stopover and I am so glad we picked Hotel Amira. It is so close to the major attractions. And the hotel rooms and beds are super comfy. 2 days weren’t enough as we were tired of the incoming travel. But when we are back to Istanbul, we will surely stay in Hotel Amira again. A shout out to the amazing front desk staff. The service was excellent. The lady that makes fresh bread for breakfast is a cherry on top.

Good location for main tourist attractions such a Blue Mosque 8-10 minute walk. Exceptional service provided by all the staff. Unfortunately, had to wait 45 minutes for a single meal on the roof top bar. Stayed in a standard room and could do with a make over to bring it up to standard Overall would rate 4 out of 5

Excellent hotel at the best location in Istanbul

We stayed overnight with a family. Hotel location is extraordinary and the rooms were very nicely renovated and spacious. Hotel staff is very pleasant and helpful. We would definitely be looking to stay at the same hotel during our next trip to Istanbul.

One of the best hotels we have stayed in!

Hotel Amira is one of the best hotels we have ever stayed in. It is a small yet spacious hotel with a quirky layout in a great position in the old town with sea views. Clean, friendly, best buffet breakfast I have ever tasted and fantastic roof top restaurant. Our initial room was noisy as under the restaurant but the staff moved us to the most beautiful room high up with nobody above or on either side with a gorgeous sea view patio. Perfect. Great shower and jacuzzi bath. Nice products and robes and slippers. The staff are wonderful and go out of their way to help. Bottled water is available every day. They can organise airport transport and experiences in Istanbul. Communication is excellent. If we come back to Istanbul, this is where we will stay. We recommend Hotel Amira highly!
