Convenient, comfortable and clean
Didn’t know what to expect but was surprised by the friendliness of the staff and how helpful they were
The hotel is within walking distance of the main train station. It’s close to a long time sausage restaurant and two other restaurants. It’s also close to the Germanisher Museum as well as the entire old town. I enjoyed the included breakfast and appreciated the clean room. It was a very comfortable stay.
The free breakfast and parking were a great bonus! The hotel is also about one block from the city’s medieval wall!
Nice , clean , familiar location
This is our favorite hotel. Bu I didn´t like that my room was changed from the old (annex) building to just standard room overlooking the street(noisy...). I do not like the glass bathrooms. We were told there were problems with heating in the old building but nobody informed me in advance (via e-mail). Learning this upon arrival was quite annoying...
Liked the hote location, staff were excellent, but was a bit disappointed in the lack of things available inside the room, no kettle or many TV stations.
A very convenient and well maintained location
Good location
we´ve been in this hotel many times. It´s close to the historic centre and has a convenient parking. Great brekfast buffet to start the day. However, I don´t like the beds, the matress is too soft, we had trouble sleeping. The area around is almost quiet, but you hear everything in the building, the insulation is not sufficient.
The room is clean and comfortable. Close to old town. Walking distance from the central station. The breakfast is delicious and worth the price (12 Euro).
Awesome hotel
What a gem! A simple but very clean hotel with excellent service. Decent breakfast buffet. Great location. Laundry service was quick and inexpensive. Staff very friendly. Would definitely stay here again.
This is our favorite hotel, close to the old town and with its own parking. One thing i didn´t like: the fridge was not working. I understand the absence of a
Very friendly staffs. Breakfast was great and a lot of choices. Parking is easy and walking distance to all attractions.
The parking is directly at the hotel and included. The receptionist helped us with dinner reservations and general info for town. We loved our stay!
Extremely helpful staff especially with the language barrier. Hotel feels brand new.
Clean and comfy!
Great stay. Nice location. Breakfast seemed a little expensive for what you get though.
Awesome location, friendly service, clean room.
Had a wonderful 2-night stay in a single room. Hotel location is excellent and within walking distance (~1km or less) of the altstadt city center. It is also very close to the Plarrer (metro town square) area which made taking public transportation (U-Bahn & tram) very convenient. I got a 24-hour transportation pass from the hotel desk which was very convenient too. Overall would highly recommend. Had everything I needed in a fantastic location at a good price, and the staff helped me navigate the city as a first-time visitor and English-speaker.
Oh so quaint!
Very quaint hotel - we were thrilled with it. Great location!
We will choose the hotel again.
The location of the hotel is very good. It is quite and very close to the old town, to the shops and to the restaurants. The room was clean and there was everything what you need.
Very friendly, great location! Big room and bar area in lobby
Great value in the old town.
Friendly hotel with a wonderful breakfast. Decent room, clean and comfortable.
Great place to stay in Nürnberg
A perfect hotel for us - great location, spotlessly clean , good breakfast and charming staff. Lots of very nice restaurants nearby.
Nuremberg with Jakob
Very nice , Did change from 108 room to 306 ... which was much better. Breakfast first class and service good . Bit loose around edges , but small private hotel and good on them . .... location great .... will recommend, room selection will be important to some clients . Thank you , very nice stay D Pond
Really nice stay at this hotel!! Staff are friendly and helpful!! Room, a bit older, but nice and spacious. Bathroom and shower newly renovated and very nice. Location is a bit of walk from the Hbf and a little hard to find if I didn’t have google map. But that would be my only negative! Actually for exploring the streets going towards old town it’s in a good spot to see a lot of great spots while you walk towards the castle or main square. Highly recommend
The room was very unique, and my son loved the spiral staircase!
Long weekend with friends
Roomy, easy walk to most things. Spotlessly clean hotel. There is parking but it’s tight.
Book a room
Very welcoming staff
Good one-night stay. Good location to access Old Town and public transport to airport.
Our new favorite hotel for its location and great price even during busy conferences.
Good hotel
Good hotel, small rooms, very clean. Parking entrance very small and i traveled with my 6 months old baby, so not that comfortable for me, maybe for couples would be better
Plain but great location
A little worn down and plain but clean and great location. Free parking lot is very tiny- if your car is too big or it’s full you have to pay at a nearby lot. Free gluehwein in the lobby was a plus.
Worth the price
Its a cozy hotel located about 20 mins away from any main attractions. Worth the price!
Very clean and comfortable. Pillows had no support. Bathroom was SO well designed and had great water pressure.
Hotel am Jakobmarkt was in a great location, less than 20 minutes walk to the Christmas Market and other attractions. The room we stayed in was clean, a good size, but didn't have much character or charm. But the breakfast was fabulous!
Nice Hotel, Good location
Nice hotel in Nuremburg - friendly staff, good location - right next to the oldest sausage restaurant in Nuremburg (also recommended!). Room was warm and comfortable, only negative was that the bed was a little smaller than expected
Nice hotel close to the old city , really close to central train station and all the metro stations. the location is great . Our room was very clean and warm .
Nice hotel inside the old city walls.
Fabulous service, good breakfast, and a congenial atmosphere for a fair price. But there’s no way to adjust the temperature and the fan wasn’t quite enough. It’s very close the the red light district, so maybe not the best choice for families.
Enjoyed stay at the Hotel Jackobsmart Nuremberg
The Hotel Jackobsmart is excellent. Clean room, nice bed, safe in room. Separate toilet from bath area. Nice restaurant. Hotel is a short walk to town center with shopping, dining, sightseeing. Staff is friendly and helped direct us with what we needed. Very friendly.
Parking was available on site .. this was a big help
Great location
Great location. Rooms were very clean and comfortable. The breakfast for ten Euros was a real bargain. Front desk very welcoming and friendly. Very knowledgeable about the city. Had adequate closets, room welll laid out. Will recommend this hotel.
Good location
In between two metro stops, Plarrer and Operahaus 5 minutes from each. Check in quick and easy, a very clean room. Left my key at reception one morning and had to answer questions to get it back in the evening so they obviously take security very serious and ensured it was actually me.
Clean and convenient; friendly staff
Conveniently located and overall nice accommodations
Nice hotel, good value, great staff
Stayed here whilst I was attending Rock Im Park festival 2018 nearby, only used the hotel for sleeping and washing in really, but the hotel is very nice. The room was as described, a good size for 1 person, the bathroom was spotless and much bigger than I had expected, the bed was comfortable, and plenty of wardrobe space for clothes. The staff were very accomodating to me checking in a bit earlier than their usual check in time, were helpful with directions on how to get to the festival, where to get a taxi from, and where the nearest supermarket or pharmacy was. Every interaction I had with the staff was pleasant and helpful. The hotel is situated very nicely in relation to most things, there is an Underground station 2-3 minute walk from the hotel and the main train station of Nurnberg is only about a 10 minute walk away that gives you access to anywhere in the city you may need. Didn't eat at the hotel so cant comment on what the food is like, but would highly recommend this hotel and would stay again if I was visiting the city.
Thanks
Very friendly staff. Spotlessly clean sheets, quiet, professional management
Quirky, but basic sauna
Lovely quirky hotel. Highly recommended. The sauna and the gym are quite basic
Close to downtown area
It is very nice. Breakfast is excellent. Staff very cordial and clean rooms. Quiet area. No problems whatsoever. I loved the place.
Noisy
Front room was very noisy, and on the edge of red light district. But close inn. Town
Overnight excursion
Small room but comfortable for short stay and convenient to local attractions.
Good location - good value
Located in an amazing walkable area. Our room was very large, two floors with spiral staircase. Nicely updated. Staff was friendly and helpful.
Nice hotel ,very convenient for walking around town within the pedestrian streets . Shops , cafes and finally at the top of the hill Dürer's house , the castle...
Excellent!
Room for 2 was quite spacious and very comfortable. Impressed by the level of cleanliness. Hotel is excellently located in the charming old town within walking distance of all the main attractions (closest metro station is Weisser Turm). Would definitely recommend this hotel!
Strange set-up.
We booked what looked like a nice hotel, but were put in a room in a separate building behind the main hotel. It was a suite, and we had to climb several sets of old wooden stairs to get to it. It was spacious, much more than we needed, but it didn't have wifi, and the configuration was really strange.
Convenient location
Stayed for three night to visit the Christmas market. Great breakfast. Room was OK - nothing out of the ordinary.
Convenient and clean hotel
Good hotel for business stay.
Nice Hotel short walk to village
Hotel was fine, but rooms were very small. Breakfast was good and staff was friendly. Parking lot is tight but it works. I thought the walk to the Christmas market would be much further but was surprised by how close it was and it was a fun walk with plenty to see and eat along the way.
Excellent Hotel in the heart of Old Nuremburg
Spacious suite and very clean. Well equipped with fridge, stove and kitchen table. Only drawback was the steep stairs to the fourth floor-only a serious problem after one too many beer!
GREAT location!
Close to train station, restaurants and museums. Everything we did was within walking distance. I'd recommend this hotel to family, friends and anyone wanting somewhere nice to stay for a reasonable price.
Nice hotel in old town
If you was somewhere to stay in central Nuremberg then this hotel is ideally situated. However there is no air conditioning and the bedrooms were really hot and stuffy even with the windows open. So not a good place to stay if the weather is hot.
Had just one night but would have been happy to stay another day. The hotel is in a secluded area within the walls of Nuremberg old town. A short walk from the nearby underground station. Very helpful staff on reception. Good breakfast. I intend to return on my next visit to Nuremberg.
Clean and rested in Nuremberg's old city.
I arrived late on Sunday night and wasn't sure where the hotel is but found it with no trouble. There were a few eating places nearby still open, thank goodness. I slept quite well as the neighborhood is very quiet. It is within the old city of Nuremberg, i.e., behind the walls.
We liked this hotel. It was clean and comfortable and the service was excellent. Its location in old Nuremberg is perfect. We went to the Christkindlesmarkt and could easily walk there from our hotel. We appreciated the parking at the hotel.
Nice hotel in down town Nuremberg
I enjoyed the hotel. Staff were friendly. The room was spacious for a 3* hotel. Breakfast was also good. Hotel is very close to downtown restaurants and shopping area.
Loved the location, and my room was very comfortable.
Very nice place in central Nuremberg
close to train and subway and central city. easy to find; some on-site parking; nice breakfast worth the 12 Euros; friendly knowledgeable staff; No A/C, but windows do open.
Street Noise Trouble
In a room facing the street. Unfortunately there is no AC here, and with the window open the street noise is very annoying. Constant loud people walking and driving by all night. Also German bedding.. Since the hotel is in Germany this is expected, but it is always a challenge for this American. Other than that, it was OK - but I will look elsewhere in the future.
The hotel is located closed to the station and convenience to food areas. Clean and nice service.
My Stay
The Good: Rooms are clean, staff is courteous. Bathrooms are excellent. Location is very convenient, just two minutes walk from the underground train station (Weisserturm). The Bad: Wifi facilities are awful. It rarely works in your hotel room; you're allotted only 100 mb of data at a time and this gets exhausted in a matter of moments despite not downloading anything. Wifi in the reception works well, that's about it. Also, only breakfast buffet facilities available (at a costly 10 euros per day), there's no dining or restaurant facilities. Verdict: There's a Holiday Inn right next door and in hindsight, I'd probably have stayed there just to avail of better internet facilities and dining options.
Good choice Hotel
Good Hotel. Nice Breakfast. Very well located.
Very comfortable and conveniently located
We enjoyed the comforts of the hotel and chose it because it was close to the town centre and within the old city walls, therefore max 10 minutes walking from the central market area. Typical for Germany the beds are made of 2 single beds with 2 single duvets. The bed was very comfortable and the room clean and tidy. We would definitely recommend staying here and were happy with the friendly staff answering all questions we had.
Pleasant Hotel
This hotel is good, very clean and comfy staff are very helpful with thing like were to eat what to see etc. from the out side very oldie Worldie inside very modern and comfy with plenty of room on site to park a car safe, breakfast cold buffet but lots of choice would recommend it, also close to three nice restaurants on the corner of the street
Good deal
We only stayed one night but we spent a lovely time, in a very clean and comfy room. Staff was very gentle and helpful with the parking. The location also was very good, and we enjoyed a very special dinner at the Japanes restaurant downstairs, "Benihana" style.I defintely would choose this hotel again.
Great Location
Great location within old city walls. Good walking. Romantic. Visit nearby German Historic Museum.
Rooms were dusty They spoiled our clothes
They spoiled our clothes while LUNDRY
Nice hotel right in the old city
We enjoyed our stay. Hotel is nice with friendly staff. It's only 15 min walk to the best Xmas market in Europe.
An ok hotel but refused to accept my credit card
The hotel looks stylish and nice (if you end up in the refurbished part). But upon check-out they refused to accept my Corporate American Express card which meant I ended up paying for it myself. The staff was rather unfriendly as well not offering to help. So if you have a corporate card you might want to pick another hotel.
Nice little old fashionedhotel
Very pleasant hotel. Superb included buffet breakfast. Jus around the corner from Germany's oldes Bratwurst restaurant.
Nice and convenient.
Breakfast was good (extra 10 Euro) but WiFi is slow (it is free).
accommodating
after a rocky start, the hotel was very accommodating about changing our room to a bigger one. took a while but I got the hand of using their wifi (hint use internet explore to log on).
booked a triple room and got what was effectively an apartment. Very good value.
Close-in location
Quiet location within the city walls. Everything is within walking distance, shopping, restaurants, and the sights. Room had a modern bath and was quiet. Small parking area, but nearby parking garage. Good breakfast and friendly staff.
1 day stopover
Convenient location in the old town. Sights are all within walking distance which is great. About a 10-15mins walk from the main train station.
Great for family desiring to use public transport
Location was a little off the beaten path for walking to local attractions but was convenient to public transportation and clean, quiet and comfortable.
great location for the Christmas market
Good value
Not a bad hotel for the price. I had a single. It was small, but they did a good job of using space well. It was a bit cold, heater did not seem to work very well and the bathroom smelled of smoke in a non-smoking room. But is was one of the better values in the area. Staff was very friendly and willing to help with anything that you would need. There was no trouble communicationg with the staff in English. Free computer in the loby for any guest to use.One block from the red light district which is interesting to see (don't have that stuff in the states). Located right by the English sports pub which was a nice place to go after a long day of sightseeing.
close to all venues and access to transportation
Lovely cozy hotel tucked in the side streets away from the busy traffic but close enough to restaurants and sites.
Hotel am Jakobsmarkt, Nuremberg
We liked this hotel for its location - it was within easy walking distance of the old city and there were several excellent restaurants nearby. The staff gave us a very warm welcome and the receptionist was very helpful when I needed a dentist urgently.
very reliable
This was the second time I've stayed here, and this time it was even better than the last, as I stayed in a section that was clearly renovated. Very quiet, clean, functional room that was plenty big. Conveniently located near the Germanisches Nationalmuseum and other sites within the walls of the Old City. I'd stay there again
convenient hotel
the hotel is clean and easy to stay. especially the location is quite good for foreign visitors.
Hotel Am Jakobsmarkt - old and new
The good news - we were given a 2 BR suite for our 3 night stay. The bad news - the suite was on the top floors of the oldest part of the hotel with no elevator and no internet coverage.
Business traveller
Good location, close to a U Bahn stop and easy to walk into centre of Nuremberg
Handy location, great price
This hotel was inside the city walls and only a short walk from the old town and more importantly the Xmas market!! There was a huge choice of food for breakfast and the rooms were modern, comfortable and warm. I found the bed a little hard because I prefer softer beds but my parents found the beds perfect. I would recommend this hotel
Great Christmas Visit
We found that the hotel was within easy walking distance of the main square where the Christmas market is held, leading through well lit shopping streets on the way. Hotel was nicely decorated for Christmas and the staff were very polite, friendly and efficient. We had very comfortable nights sleep here and the breakfast buffet was wonderful, everything you could wish for. This was a five day, four night Christmas market break and we would definitely recommend a stay here at this hotel.
Small and friendly
A small and friendly hotel conveniently situated for the shops, xmas market and restaurants
An excellent hotel for the price. It is convenient to the UBahn and the pedestrian zone and within walking distance of the major sites of the Old City. A varied and tasty breakfast buffet. The staff is cheerful and friendly, very helpful with local information. The world's oldest Bratwurst restaurant is just around the corner and offers Nuremberg's finest treat. As an elderly solo woman traveler, I felt quite comfortable with the neighborhood. Highly recommended.
Good hotel in lovely City
Lovely hotel with a comfortable room and very friendly and efficient staff and delicious breakfasts and in a central location but some concerns -nothing at all to do with the hotel - about street noise at night !!
Nice old building, but the "old" maybe on your way
We stayed in the older building in the back. No WiFI in that area and WiFi even in the lobby is poor strength and quality and not all of my devices (read "smart phones" could connect. So don't relay on their WiFi. Breakfast is good if you typically eat a big one. Otherwise eat at some local nearby bakery. There is a good renovated (in old local style) and good food restaurant just next door around the corner. You cannot miss it, look for the traditional colors and decorations.
Great place for the price
Very pleasant stay for one night and the rooms are updated. The staff was exceptionally helpful, courteous and spoke English very well. Location, private parking and wi-fi excellent.
Always a great pick, it's cheap and in a convenient area
