There was no lift access to my room on the first floor and it was the last available room on the day I checked in. We were woken up in the first two mornings by both maintenance noises and noises from people walking up and down the stairwell which was just three foot away. The room was extremely small for a twin room and the door was just one foot from the bed!! The fridge was dirty with food stains and not connected to power — a breeding ground for bacteria. However Jaruwuat at front desk was very kind and hospitable.

Interior noise is unlike any other hotel in my experience. The walls on the 5th floor are paper thin & you can hear phone conversations and arguments in other rooms. The last rehab of this hotel likely included parts left over from other construction projects that do not fit together. A disappointment at best.

It was very charming and easy to locate

Really enjoyed my stay, staff was very helpful and attentive. Only problem I found was in the toilet, it had a leakage and the remote control didn't had any batteries.

The staff is wonderful the area is perfect. It’s not a tourist area so you really get the feel of a being a local. The bathrooms are very small but doable.

It’s very convenient, good location about 25 mins walk to Eiffel Tower. Staff are friendly and helpful. Okay for a short stay. The only thing you have to remember is that the place doesn’t have an air on. And the place is small so if you are going as a family this might not work for you.

The reception staff are not nice or kind. Especially the young man that wears glasses and the guy that packs his hair. The Korea guy was very cool. He was the only one that treated me nice. I was on the 5th floor they found it difficult to help me get my luggages up even though the lift doesn’t get to the 5th floor. I had to carry 3 heavy boxes all my self

I really enjoy my time in this hotel, close to stores, restaurants and Eiffel Tower, all staff are super nice except the old men😐 the only thing I will suggest is to provide shampoo and conditioner, just a little tip☺️But overall very pleased 😀

This was a fine hotel for what I paid, It was close to the Eiffel Tower and 3 metro station which is the best way to travel! I traveled between the Eiffel and various locations during my stay. The rooms were a little tight but if you are going as a couple, it will be fine. The place is very clean. While there is not as many places to eat right next to the hotel if you walk a few blocks there are a few cafes around. The key thing to remember, this is only a place to sleep in. If you plan to stay in an hotel in Paris, this is not the place for You. The staff is extremely friendly. And was extremely thoughtful. When I return, I will try and stay there again.

Clean and comfy hotel with very friendly staff in a great location. Just be aware that if you are staying here in the summer that there is no air conditioning which meant the rooms got extremely hot. Other than that it was a great hotel.

I arrived before check-in time, very tired from my long flight. The receptionist graciously found me a room so I could rest before going on for a meeting later that day. Thank you, Hotel Alyss Saphir Cambronne!!

Very near to halal restaurant and easy access to public transport.

The place is very clean, it´s really worth it for the price. The room is not too big, but it is quite enough. The bathroom is good, all facilities seems very new.

The rooms were clean and the bathroom was spacious. However, the staff was not very helpful and they asked us to leave all our keys before we left the hotel. Also, our reservation mentioned that the breakfast was included but we were asked to pay extra for all the breakfasts. We did ask about it the day we got there. So overall, the location was very centric and the rooms were clean but the staff and service was not very satisfying.

Friendly staff. Very nice bathrooms. Only negative was during our second night there was a loud knock at our door from the porter asking to see the bathroom asap. Turns out the tub was leaking below somehow from normal use. My wife had to interrupt her bath to let him inspect the bathroom and he asked us to drain it.

Enjoyable stay for Parisian Vacation

The staff and hotel was exceptional. A very nice Parisian area away from typical tourist traffic. Extremely attentive staff who made our 13 night stay truly enjoyable. We were given a rear room that was quiet and comfortable.

Need to have air conditioning

There was no air conditioning availble in the room when it was very vey hot. The hotel did provide fans but they were of absolutely no use in the hot weather. Also, the receptionist was not very helpful in providing ice to us. He was always refering to some stringent hotel rules and did not try to understand the situation.

There’s no AC in the guest rooms and it was so hott that neither of us could sleep. We asked the front desk numerous times for more fans or something to cool us down and they didn’t have anything. As the hotel is off a Main Street, we couldn’t open our windows to sleep either as the sound of cars kept us awake. We took cold showers and as we got out the towels were so hot from the room that they felt like they just come out of a dryer. We booked for 2 nights and left after the first. The office kept saying there was nothing they could do and that the heat is “a problem they have.” Overall, I would never stay here ever again. Awful awful awful experience.

The hotel its self is nice but one thing their page has to mention on expedia is that this hotel doesnt have AC. That has to be something that is mentioned if your going to be more then 110 dollars per night. The location is good, the stuff is cool, and all that but the AC part wasnt.

Stayed one night only. Within reasonable walking distance to metro station, and easy to get to the airports through metro (about one hour at EUR10.50). Check-in and out are easy. My room and bathroom are big in Paris standard. Quiet. Bed is comfortable and shower is hot and good. Staff is helpful to answer my questions. I think it definitely worth what I paid for (again, in Paris standard).

Lovely hotel

Nice hotel with very friendly staff. Was basic but had everything we needed. In quite a quiet area but still plenty of restaurants and shops nearby with easy access to three different metro stations each a 5 minute walk away. Good price considering how close it is to some of the main attractions in Paris. Would stay here again.

Overall it was OK but the room and bedding looked very old and in need of update. It was also small for a twin bed. Staff where friendly. Location was OK. The good thing was that there was a fridge and kettle for tea/coffee.

Great stay, minor issues

Great stay and service. There is only one iron for the whole hotel so they took the iron back after two days. There are several steps after you get off the elevator, was not expecting that.

Small Hotel and Friendly Staff

The staff is very nice and helpful. The lift in the hotel is very small and every 2 level sharing one level lift, means you will have to carry your luggage when you reach the lift level. The room is small and difficult to put your luggage if it is big. Nearby have groceries stores and restaurant.

Wifi problem

Wifi was not working properly at the 4th floor where I was staying. Each time I have to make a login when I needs to make an access. It needs to be improved.

Favorable location, horrible WiFi

I chose this hotel mainly because of the price and location -- I needed to extend a business trip and the hotel where I had my reservation could not accommodate me as they were sold out. The hotel is convenient to a number of Metro lines and is in a neighborhood with lots to offer in the way of good eating establishments. Room was not on the street side, had a reasonable amount of space to unpack and hang so I did not have to live out of my suitcase. Bathroom facilities were above par. The room was a little cramped with two single beds where a twin or double would have made moving around in the room much easier. Because of the problems with WiFi I could not recommend this hotel for anyone on a business trip reliant on WiFi. The room I was given was okay for a single occupant but too small, IMO for two.

There were too many things unsatisfactory things on this place. No AC, no elevator (you're doomed if you have luggage(s), poor internet, the bathroom clogged, the room is tinier than standard French hotels, and most of all the lobby personnel (afternoon/evening) was very unprofessional. We experienced all these once we checked-in. We reported all these immediately and was repeatedly told, "there's no problem in the room and we have to wait the next day/morning to report the issues". He was so aggravated and what blew me away was when he told us not to call anymore as he was going to sleep!! We reported all these the next day and was given an excuse that 'he' (the evening/night shift) is an old person and he's just like that, really? With all that said, nothing was corrected in our room. Too pricey for its type, condition and location.

was fiffteen minute walk eiffel tower, large number of restaurants and cafes close by.. pharmacy next door. super market one minute walk. also laundry mat just down the street three minutes walk. also nice little market on sunday under the railway line at end of the street.

Hotel manager was extremely rude

Okay rooms, awful manager. The manager tried to charge us an extra night for keeping our used paper plates in a bag instead of the trash can claiming it would warrant an extra say of cleaning when we left. When confronted she was extremely rude and reluctant after clearly attempting to scam us because we were tourists.

Small room

Room and elevator were tiny but clean exactly as pictured. No air conditioning at all they have a fan that makes noise but blows very little air. Breakfast is 12 euros per day and is nothing do not spend the money. You have to give a 20 euro deposit for the mini fridge and you have to pay a tax that is not included. One annoying thing is you have to leave your key card at the front desk every time you leave the hotel even if it is for five minutes. ATM across the street and reteurants a few blocks away. The area was good I went with my 15 year old and fealt very safe walking around. It is about a 10 euro taxi to Eiffel Tower

Nice hotel close to Paris metro

We chose this hotel as it was within easy walking distance to the Cambronne metro and also 20-30 min walk to the Eifel Tower. On our arrival the staff were very helpful and pleasant, our room was small but clean and comfortable (rm303). We had to be careful coming out of the lift as previous guests have commented but we had no problems with the size of the lift - at least they have a lift! They do take your key when you go out but again this was not an issue for us. We chose to eat out for breakfast so cant comment however it looked fine. All in all a nice hotel and good value for money.

The location was very good, the room was small but clean and comfortable.

Fruad Hotel, Avoid this place.

Upon check-in to this hotel, the receptionist clearly told us that breakfast is included with your reservation. We had breakfast for 2 days and while checking out, they charged us 48 euros for it. 11 Euros per person for that stupid breakfast, we would have avoided it if we were told earlier. Later hotel charged my credit card without my approval. Beware of this hotel, very rude receptionists. I will never stay in this place.

Disappointing Stay

The location is great! However, the checked-in took a long process prior getting the keys--front desk was very very slow; lacked of understanding what needs to be done! Very disappointed about the room as there was no A/C--the fan doesn't helped at all especially, on a very hot weather! The toilet flush doesn't seem to work--ended up fixing it as front desk disregard the request for maintenance. Bathroom sink was clogged up as well. Poor inventory on the mini bar as I was accused of utilizing during the stay which it was a false claim. Front desk seems to be not well-focused on their guests' room reservation as I have experienced a dilemma where they claimed that I booked for two separate rooms.

Almost great.

We enjoyed our stay. The only negative point was upon arrival, I asked about the room and the woman at the counter said she didn't like our attitude and to sit down until she told us to come forward. Then she went out to smoke a cigarette. The rest of the stay and the rest of the staff were great.

The staff were all very welcoming and helpful. The location of the hotel is extremely convenient, 2 minutes from the nearest supermarket, 5 minutes from Commerce metro station and 10 minutes from the eiffel tower (all walking distance). The room was very comfortable, however the walls are relatively thin so you can sometimes hear the room next to you. This didn't negatively affect us so we were not bothered by the slight noise. Overall a lovely place, would definitely stay again!

Cute hotel

This was a perfect cheap hotel! Loved the location! It is a 15 minute walk from the Eiffel Tower and is close to a lot of restaurants. The metro is also a short walk away. It is not super fancy but suited my needs for my trip. Although it is a bit noisy, and the elevator is very small. But overall I had a great experience here! I will stay again!

It was a lovely stay and I do recommend this as it is a nice distance away from the metro and the eiffel towel. I would say breakfast was expensive if you havnt already paid for it. Some very little things is that the shower needs non slip mats as I have a lovely bruise on my leg due to fall and maybe a few more coffees and teas. Overall i did like this hotel

Cozy Hotel Downtown - Very Rude Staff

The room was small but clean - exactly what we would expect for a cheap hotel in downtown Paris. We were very disappointed with the staff of the hotel. They were rude to multiple people during our stay. Not only were they rude to us over a misunderstanding but we also witnessed them being very rude and difficult with several other guests as well.

For the price, it was ideal. VERY CENTRAL.

The morning staff was very helpful. I did not like to leave the keys with the reception everytime you left the hotel. And the breakfast was good.

Good, central location

Location is was very central to the city; we walked to the Eiffel Tower quite easily. Lots of great restaurants, patisserie and bars nearby for meals and a grocery store across the street. Unfortunately, we started to think it was a place for working girls to bring clients because every night there was adult activity in the rooms on our floor. We could hear it, all night long. Sometimes it started after midnight or 3 am and would go on for hours. The rooms are so close, it's easy to hear everything. That was a bit off putting for us to be awaken in the middle of the nights. Nothing against the hotel, the service, the amenities or the staff, all very excellent. We may have just gotten very rambunctious, active guests near our rooms. It did happen each night and from different rooms on our floor though so it wasn't just one room.

Good location.

Budget hotel, good for being close to public transport and main tourist area.

The room was fine considering we didn't spend much time at the hotel. The do offer breakfast, but at a fairly expensive cost so we didn't eat at the hotel. Instead we found much cheaper places in the area to eat. The elevator holds 2 people that don't mind being close, and takes you between floors with a short set of stairs up or down to your correct floor so if you are not able to walk up any stairs this is not the hotel for you.

Valentines Break

the Hotel lives upto its stars, how ever the proximity to some of the sights was good no car park but does have nearby carparks close by the bathroom was not inviting although it was clean a litlle bit out dated the front desk staff was helpfull and had good local knowledge the internet was quite slow and thr tv chanells were french although it is in a touristic area would have expected english i olnly stayed there to sleep the bed was comfortable (i was really tired) :))

Nice surprise during short trip to Paris

I was pleasantly surprised when arriving to this hotel as room was kept nicely and reception was lively and helpful. Was a great place for the price and metro is only a few minutes away. Added another night to our visit.

A French hotel at last!

This place was very small very clean and very France! I loved it! If you are into the American lifestyle of things this hotel is not for you. If you want to feel like you're in France then this gives a nice shuttle hint of it, I loved it! Plus you get like a 10.00euro parking validation too!

No room cleaning for the last 3 days of my stay

For some reason they kept trying to do room cleaning / housekeeping at early hours in the morning, and because I was still sleeping in the room they couldn't do it for the last 3 days of my stay. So basically, if they can't do room service in the morning, you are left with an unclean room for the night.

This hotel was exactly as described, no more no less. The staff were OK but not great, the rooms perfectly reasonable for the money and location.

Older hotel with reasonably modern rooms. Comfortable bed. Bathroom very cramped though. Staff were helpful. Recommended best local restaurant to eat etc.

Great location!

Bed was okay...too hard so we felt we did not rest. Location is ideal, close to two Metro stops and walking distance to Eiffel Tower and river cruises. Staff is very helpful and professional. Breakfast for 12€ not worth it. You can get more for same price or less elsewhere. Hotel offered only juice, coffee, bread, and cereal.

Not so warmly receptive at the front desk. All TV stations in French, cleaners clean but not so clean Quite easy to navigate from hotel to city. Probably to a non French Speaking individuals.

Tiny rooms, weird elevator, lackluster service

The rooms Are TINY, ans so is the weird elevator (two people or one person with a suitcase, stops only BETWEEN floors 4-5 or 2-3). Staff is very very slow to react to anything (check in took about 45 minutes...). No AC in the room, which was a problem in the summer. But the location is awesome, the room was clean (the tiny little bit of it that we had), and Paris is great.

Rude front desk/staff

The front desk was rude and unhelpful. Apparently you are supposed to leave your room key at the front desk everyday, which no one had even mentioned. The ffirst day when we got back from walkig around Paris, the front desk lady was yelling that the key was not left with her. It just became awkward the rest of the trip.

Very good location, only 3 stops away from eiffel tower. 2 Metro station in nearby area. you will get food and shops in the same area. Rooms are small, but tourists hardly stay at room. Reception is very good.

It is in a nice location and it is cheap. The room is small & clean. But there is No air conditioner. It is on a busy street. Cars, motorcycles, and loud people passed by throughout night. If you open the window, too noisy to rest. If you close it, too hot to sleep! It has the slowest wifi that I had ever used. It is worthless!

Great location, very helpful staff.

Hotel amenities were as you'd expect for a 3-star hotel, everything was ample and we felt the hotel was very good value for money. The location of the hotel is ideal for people wanting to stay within a stones throw of the main tourist sites with two Metro stations within a 5 minute walk away. The staff were very friendly and, when asked, were able to provide information about travel, food and other things in English (our French was not great!). Would definitely stay there again and would recommend to people who are in the city for a shirt break and on a budget.

The Good, The Bad and The UGLY

The Good: Multilingual staff. The woman who worked the front desk during the morning hours was very helpful and nice. The Bad: The negative points made by other reviewers on Hotels.com, are accurate. The area is "sketchy" and, we did not feel safe there. The Ugly: The two men who worked "reception" during the afternoon and evening, were incredibly rude, threatening, militant and creepy. I booked a single room via Hotels.com. I booked a roll-away bed at what I understood to be an additional cost when I booked the room for myself and a friend. The men berated us as the room would not take a roll-away bed. These guys would have been regarded as "RUDE" in any "free" country. The men treated us like criminals, gave us some major "stink eye" as we walked past reception. They demanded we surrender our electronic key cards to them each time we left the hotel. This really creeped us out. They also gouged us for more money. Since our room only came with one set of bath towels I asked for a second set of bath-towels. They gave us two washcloths. I have never been treated so poorly by anyone at a hotel; and I have traveled a good deal. I know things are different in France and Europe but I think common courtesy is reasonable to expect wherever one travels in the "free" world.. This place was HORRIBLE. An email to management and corporate regarding our experiences went out a number of days ago. No response from either. I guess the rudeness starts at the top. Zero "stars."
