Amazing stay
i liked the property and the room, the staff was unresponsive to something as serious as no hot water on a freezing morning, so no shower. they didn't care.
It was safe
Overall good experience
This hotel has a nice look to it and location was decent but overall way too expensive for you what you don't get. I would not stay here again.
Excellent and decently priced.
The staff was wonderful
nice property. spacious rooms with nice nespresso machine. very hospitable bell service and front desk. close to 5th avenue and shopping and very walkable to Rockefeller and Bryant Park. only issue we had is that we were charged for a missing umbrella. we called to have that charge adjusted.
Check in was quick and easy. The room was nice and very clean. Everything was great.
Terrible customer service
Horrible customer service. Room didn’t have heat and when I returned to hotel at 11pm and discovered no heat they moved me to a much smaller room and offered no discount. Then in new room phone didn’t work.
Great Stay
The hotel was immaculate with great service. A special treat was the hot chocolate that appeared in the lobby in the early afternoon. We would stay here again.
Room was clean, larger than the average new York hotel room, staff very attentive, elevator not as slow as reviews suggested. Liked the shower fixtures! Could be brighter in the bathroom for guests needing to put on makeup. Robes were very nice.
Christmas in New York 2024 with snow, magical!
It was the first my family had been to New York City during Christmas and the whole trip was exceptional. I loved the hotel wasn’t in the middle of Time Square and quiet. I would highly recommend for couples and families.
It was such a pretty hotel. Staff was amazing!!
We enjoyed our time. Will come back.
Safe
The room was average especially for the price. The staff were friendly and the location was decent.
Hotel is conveniently located Midtown and the staff and service were excellent. Our room was very clean and the bed was very comfortable!
Among the worst
One of the worst hotels - dirty, dark, grim. I paid $2000 for two cold showers and papers and dirt in the hall way and room. Filthy filthy filthy hotel. Dark. Depressing. The elevators take so so so so long. They lock the doors at night due to danger. On Madison Avenue. This is the vibe. Awful. Never never never stay here.
Unknown fees charged upon checkin. Unfriendly front desk
Large rooms and reasonable prices. Great location, albeit a bit quiet at night making it feel a little unsafe coming and going in off hours. Nice staff for the most part. Only major problem is that it is an older hotel and the rooms can get very cold or hot depending on season. The air conditioning units in the room can be very loud making hard to sleep at night. There is a nice little bar in the lobby that serves great food and always has a place to site.
It was clean and useful. Filled the need.
Beautiful and spacious new rooms
Great location.
Nice property … a bit dark
Had a great stay at AKA and will definitely be back.
Definitely coming back
Really nice and great location. Staff was very helpful and nice.
Fabulous property with fabulous staff!
We loved staying here! The balcony made it feel like we were in the heart of NYC! Would definitely book again :)
Would never return to this hotel. Horrible lighting, thermostat didn’t work, bed was broken.
Room was small but nice. Good amenities. Perfect for an over night stay.
Nice moderately priced hotel. Very quiet for NYC, close to Madison Square Park. Breakfast is pricey with a limited menu, but there are many options close by. Gym is tiny.
Everyone is so nice and professional! Love this place
clean nice modern rooms. friendly staff
They didn’t even have my reservation but still charged me
Location was great and feel safe

There was nothing we didn’t like about it
Great location and lovely rooms. Quite a great staff.
Hotel room was clean and comfortable. Staff were very friendly and it felt nice knowing security was always at the hotel entrance. So many good food spots nearby too. Really enjoyed my stay!
Hotels location was convenient and the staff is very friendly and professional. The room is clean and the bed is comfortable. The only thing we didnt like is the restroom. Is very small and dark. No space to put down your things and the shower had no door.
Someone slipped in an offer for upgrade and I hit it by mistake. Nobody was even willing to work with me and reducing it. It was $1000 over what we expected to pay.
Well located small property with very European feel. Like most hotels currently, it seemed a little understaffed in terms of requests for items such as water, towels, etc. Rooms and bathrooms are small and lighting iffy. Housekeeping was timely but bizarre leaving behind dirty coffee cups one day then taking them the next day but not replacing them with new ones (we were told replacement was mini bar team responsibility which is peculiar). Gym is literally a converted small room but adequate. Breakfast is European style and fair but you are a block away from Whole Foods. In summary, this hotel was reasonably priced (especially compared to ridiculous Ritz Carlton NOMAD prices) but in this competitive NYC environment, I don’t think I would recommend this hotel.
Loved the aesthetic, loved the customer service. Great sized hotel for a minimalist luxury experience.
This place offers the best of New York while providing a peaceful escape from the city's hustle and bustle. The relaxing lobby, excellent rooms, and attentive staff delivering top-notch service make it a perfect stay!
Great stay!
Love it all the way -
I come to the city often and it was my first time staying at this property. It’s completely stylish. Nice attention to detail and I love the size of this hotel. Not too big. Personalized service. Lovely staff. I’ll definitely stay here on my next trip in!
The staff was incredibly accommodating and very friendly.
Definitely I would go back the whole experience was amazing but the staff goes above and beyond JW, Lisa, Zigy, Iane absolutely a5+ Star customer service
Super nice courteous professional staff that made our visit memorable. The property/room/location was good and cared for but the staff was *exceptional* from our moment of arrival until departure. Promptly met us at the door and were super attentive and courteous from the point of entry at all times. Will definitely visit here again and recommend to others. Thank you.
Hello!! Unfortunately it was not a good experience!! Very small room, too much noise, overestimated price for this room!! We asked many times two beds (as it was in the reservation)but no respond!! I had a guest and I slept in the same bed! The bed was terrible!! All night the bed creaks all the time in every move!! The door in the toilet doesn't close! You charge for a breakfast extra money. I gave all the money in front, from the first day! And anything I asked for,the answer was negative!! My son did effort to change and transfer to Aka Central Park. Again you did nothing!! You didn't want to please the client! Not even help with the luggages to the car at the end! So your service is not good!!
Staff was awesome. Didn't appreciate the desitation fee, essentially paid extra for amenities that was not needed or used. Two boxes of water per stay was a bit ridiculous.
Loud at times but overall recommended
Clean, secure and comfortable place to stay close to everything.
My stay at Hotel AKA NoMad was absolutely fantastic. Great and attentive staff, clean and luxurious facilities. Very easy to get to, very walkable. Enjoyable!
Nice location
Great pre cruise stay.
Only complaint was that we did not receive the room booked which was king size suite. We recieved a queen room. Now the room did have balcony and considered an upgrade. But we did book the king and outdoor space not needed since we are in NYC.
Slick floors in a bathroom with a half shower barrier. Water gets on slick floors. All hard surfaces and sharp angles ready to kill you if you fall. Crap sink. Bad bed. Low and hard. Threat of $5000 smoking fine as you check in specifically including the balcony.
Really lovely rooms considering alot of NYC hotels are like pod rooms. So this felt very luxurious! Lovely bathroom eith greay shower. Ample storage and lovely bed. Great location in mid town. Felt very safe. They helped us get a taxi back to the aiport too which was helpful.highly recommended
Great service and clean rooms.
Was a nice place to stay, however was unable to turn off the light on the mini bar shelf so had to sleep with that on and the vent made loud noises all night
Would not recommend
The staff was awesome, bed and room clean and amazing. However, bathroom door didn’t lock properly, water didn’t go down smooth in sink.
Mold
Hotel with potential, with a musty smell despite being clean, horrible shower, no water comes out. It has everything to be successful if they improve it.
Great stay!
nice hotel dining in overpriced
Horrible experience do not recommend!
Aka NoMad was nice. We stayed in the one king bed room. The bathroom door did not shut and the pull out fridge was leaking water. The location was great and we were able to walk everywhere for the most part. Staff were helpful. Thanks NoMad!
I loved everything about my stay. I literally have NO complaints. I only suggest that you stop thinking about booking here and just do it! You will not be disappointed.
We absolutely loved our stay here. When we visit New York in the future, we will make sure to stay here every time. From the staff, to the property, everything was amazing! Our view from the balcony was exceptional for our first time visiting New York!
Pretty pricey for minimalistic offerings
The hotel was centrally located with a 20 minute walk to Times Square and easy access to subway and a close walk to Eataly. We came on a family vacation and it is not exactly suited for a family. The rooms are quite tight and we did not have room to lay out our 4 travel-on suitcases. The wifi went out for 24 hours due to rain and we had to ask for basics - towels, ice. It was overall an ok stay but not particularly memorable except for the doorman. He made sure we stayed dry with umbrellas that we could borrow during a very rainy week.
Wonderful hotel and very welcoming staff.
Great staff, always friendly and professional.
One of the best hotels in nyc!
The hotel is immaculate, intimate and perfectly appointed. Staff are professional, courteous and helpful. Bed in cloud like comfortable with crisply ironed percal sheets. Everything in the room works perfectly. The lobby bar is a wonder, especially bartender Alex!
I booked this for hotel for my husband and i after reading some other great reviews. We loved the location. Close enough to walk to most attractions yet not right in the center of it all. The staff are amazing and so accommodating. Don't forget to check out the terrace on the 4th floor and pop in for a night cap in the hotel bar. All in all our stay was amazing and would definitely book this hotel again.
Nice hotel to stay
Pleasant stay, excellent service and room

Hotel AKA Nomad offers a stylish and sophisticated stay with its chic decor and modern amenities. The rooms are spacious and well-appointed, providing a comfortable retreat in a bustling area. The location is convenient for exploring nearby attractions, and the service is attentive. Overall, it's a great choice for both business and leisure travelers seeking a touch of luxury in New York City.
Good
Excellent location, clean, quiet, temperature control functioning and accurate, and helpful staff. My stay could not have been more perfect.
Smack right in the middle of New York City in east side midtown, near Koreatown. Everywhere is walkable and the hotel room is spacious for 1 person, ultra modern decor and staff is helpful.
Very beautiful hotel
Everything was amazing, staff, accommodations, cleanliness
The staff is so nice, super accommodating and there is almost always a doorman, the hotel felt super safe and is in a really central location!
Our only complaint is that our A/C wouldn’t go lower than 68 and it got stuffy at night. But overall it is a great hotel.
Excellent service and beautiful boutique hotel.
Everything was good, a little too dark for me but good
The unitn was roomy and had nice furniture. But the description did not fit the suite. It was listed as 'sleeps 3' but the sofa was not a sleeper sofa. The roll away is good for a kid, but not a grown woman as myself, and the sofa was too short for me. Needless to say, I didn't sleep well for the three nights we stayed there.
My neighbors were quite loud, but other than that, what a lovely find. I had a great stay.
The staff was great at the hotel. Alex in the bar and the young man that worked with her were outstanding. We were having a very quick dinner and the food did not come out fast enough. She had it wrapped up in our hotel room we got back to the room later that night. The front desk, man who is from Clarksville, Tennessee and went to MTSU was really great. There was a tall gentleman from Jamaica at the front desk and front door. That was also really wonderful. Enjoyed the stay. Only complaints were that the bed platform creaks so much. Also, we were there three days and got two bottles of water.
It was nice.
Great hotel with amazing staff
The hotel location is just great...multiple subway stations within a block or two. The hotel staff is just amazing, courteous and always willing to help. They foresee what you might be needing and deliver to it e.g. taxis or uber to locations/airport. Ian, Johnny and really the whole staff is superb. Will return to this hotel.
I love it !!!
Amazing, beautiful boutique hotel. The balcony rooms have an awesome view of the empire state building. No problems whatsoever just sad to leave. The staff is amazing as well, special mention JW at the front desk who is awesome and so helpful.
I recently stayed at Hotel NoMad for a few days during my trip to Manhattan, and I must say, it was a fantastic experience from start to finish. The location is incredibly convenient, right in the heart of the city, making it easy to explore all the major attractions. The room was spacious, clean, and beautifully decorated, offering a perfect blend of comfort and style. The bed was incredibly comfortable, ensuring a great night’s sleep after a day of sightseeing. The hotel’s amenities were top-notch, and the staff was friendly, professional, and always ready to assist with any request. I particularly appreciated the attention to detail in every aspect of the hotel, from the elegant lobby to the well-stocked minibar in the room. The dining options were also excellent, with a delicious breakfast to start the day. Overall, my stay at Hotel NoMad was nothing short of exceptional. I highly recommend this hotel to anyone looking for a luxurious and comfortable stay in Manhattan. I look forward to returning in the future!
The staff was super friendly and helpful!

Not enough staff. On a very light Sat morning took 40 minutes to get out valet car after an estimate of 15 minutes
