Good place to stay,very good staff.

Overall, the staff were incredibly nice, and the hotel was very clean. It was a hassle to bring in outside drinks, even water, which keeps it from just being shy of 5 stars. Overall, highly recommend

Arrived frazzled from Carthage after my flight out was cancelled having booked the room from the taxi on the way from the airport. Staff couldn’t have been friendlier or more helpful. This is a first class hotel with first class customer service. A ten out of ten.

Staff could not even find the reservation and did not show any effort to help when customer comes at 10:30 PM. Do not recommend to any.

Expensive breakfast

I wanted only a coffee and croissant for breakfast, but they would not move from the 40 TD price charged for the full buffet. I know I could have gone to the cafe next door and had what I wanted for 8-10 TD

This is one of favorite places to stay in Tunis. This place is clean and quiet and no bedbugs. I love it.

The furniture and carpet are old and no air condition but it was ok not 5 star but I will give 3 stars for this hotel

Good location in the center at the Main Street of the city. Shops, restaurant and bars walking distance. Negatives: my room had bed bugs. So I changed and the second room had the toilet flushing intermittently. I paid the taxes at booking but the manager demanded me to pay again. The rooms are being scavenged by workers who come in pairs to drop a towel or sugar or a bottle of water hoping the occupants are not in. One stays on the lookout and the other one hunts in the room. Please try never to prepay with Expedia because you will get a run down inferior room. This has happened to me countless times in the past. I am not fussy so I am able to cope. Tunis is beautiful and the people are friendly.

The property is well located in the heart of Tunis city. The rooms are spacious and refurbished.

asked for iron , now allowed you have to use laundary service . can't bring anything from outside without discussion with security , even bottle of water hotel full of mosquitos and when asked the answered we can't do anything to it . checked out from yesterday , didn't even asked for refund for remining night won't ever come back .

Hotel Africa is very nice as located on Av Bourguiba (center Tunis), walkable area around, staff is welcoming and rooms are correct, also half board is a good value for money. Only missing is good wifi in rooms (weak signal).

The Wi-Fi doesn’t work in the room.

The property is as usual, but, this time, I want to add something, which is, ANIS, who is the concierge/ porter is the best among all the staff. He is experienced and extend more help to clients, even fixing problems that the reception guys has made and don't want to solve, so as to satisfy the client. An exception is also Soumaya of the reception, who has been doing her best to satisfy client. Therefore, if ever you stay there keep in touch with ANIS.

Nice centrally located hotel. Rooms were good and of a nice size. Breakfast was great.

The minimum of what is known in other hotels Empty mini bar - no coffee, tea or even bottle of water at the room, even tissues !

I would not rate that hotel as 5 stars , no simple services, or just bottle of waster in room. That hotel should be 3stars, I would waist my money on it. Novotel much better They supplied Kettle but nothing else I’m assuming you go cross street to buy a coffee or tea bags

Perfect location

Could be better if they take care of some small annoying details. The front door security guys need training. The service in the bar/lounge room is very good and the workers are very professional yet I consider this area the most disturbing place in the hotel due to the behavior of outsiders.

Too many managers supervising very few works! The front door security should stay clear from the entrance; there are times l didn't feel confotrable getting in/out of the hotel. The hotel's bar became a place for outsiders to drink until very late in the evening. There are overwhelming signs of foul activities- most notably ones that are related to prostitution- taking place in the bar's vicinity.

I walked into the hotel and asked for a room for the night. They told me they had no vacant rooms. So I opened Expedia and booked a room. (I guess they were lying) I showed my reservation to them and they said it would take 15 minutes for the reservation to come up in their system. So I waited. Then when I got to my room, it was QUITE nice, I must say. Except the AC didn't really work. I set it to 5 degrees Celsius, and I was sweating all night. It more or less blew out warm air. I was so tired that I didn't bother to call them to come fix it. Other than the AC and the staff lying to me, I would stay here again.

This isn't a 5 star hotel. Maybe 2 stars.

Hotel needs to improve their basic skills in managing the guests and provision of basic facilities to them. Refrigerator was not working. They don’t even keep a water in the room which costs nothing. They don’t ask guests, as a courtesy, for any issues being faced.

We have been using this hotel all the time, as we are happy with the staff attitude, even if somehow the facility was too old, but, this time it was a complete failure, as even the AC was not working (i.e. as per the explanation of one of the staff, it was not working in all the facility for the past one month with no repair). Even when we open the windows, we got attacked by so many mosquitos and we were not able for the first night, hence, we were obliged to even buy insecticide to be able to get read of the mosquitos. The house cleaning staff were terrible and most of the time, they will not clean the floor of the room and will not keep shampoo or body soap, etc.., on top of that they are too rude. This hotel needs really some more attention for imporvement

Good room, clean etc. But the service did'nt work well. Especially in breakfast. For example, there is not a ... spoon, notwhere! 15 minutes a servant try to find out a spoon. There is not coffe expect Nescafe and hot water. Nothiting else kind of coffe. I must buy an espresso or filter coffe from bar, in an other floor. The clarks in this hoter, except reception, do not speek english.

The room needs to be updated. The shower and vanity stool are rusted. Carpets need to be cleaned. I stayed 4 nights never vacuumed the room. Unfortunately such a bad experience

I have booked for super queen room. But I have been given a room with two single beds.

The staff was very helpful and friendly. The hotel was in the middle of outdoor shops and restaurants and easy walking distance from where we needed to go.

The cleanliness was on point. They did an excellent job. The breakfast bar was horrible. The front desk staff in the am was horrible. I waited over 3 hours in the lobby for my room. The man at the weekend/evening front desk was wonderful. He got me a taxi as close as he could to the hotel even though the street was shut down from a bombing. It was my anniversary so he did good to accommodate me the best he could. Did not like the electronic security at the entrance of the hotel but understood the reasoning behind it. Loved the bedding!!

Terrible customer service. Room has lots of issues, ac was not working, bathroom was flooding and they kept charging money for things to be done correctly.

even it is ambassador suite . I have been given the worst suite in the hotel Old tv , lowest floor , no view at all. AC is not working. temperature is 28 C. and when ac technician came at 12:30 am . he said if you want change the room. temperature hardly went down to 26

Location was important and the hotel is on the Main Street right in the middle of the city. Staff was great and friendly. They were very helpful. Had a problem with my room and they immediately put me in another. Check out was slow

Bad experience

Dear tourists of Tunisia . Please stay away from Africa Hotel -Burgabah street. This business is run by a local mafia . Imagine a five star ⭐️ hotel with no hot water for three days . They will take any chance available to rip you off. You can bye bye to your credit card information as soon as they get a hold of it. They charged me for an extra night even though I prepaid and checked out as normal . When I spoke to the reception from the US , he basically said you are a rich man , please make us happy by ignoring these issues. I repeat this hotel is a mafia. You will have a better experience if you go to the Sheraton .

Good location but need maintenance and renovation the carpets stinks , the tv is old
