Everything is good
Elias and all the personnel from hotel treat me In the best way and even beyond my requests and expectations. Excellent breakfast Location spectacular with an incredible view to all city and last stop of bus 275 jus 10 Minutes from via dolorosa , maria church and three Minutes to ascension church Walking distance to tomb of prophets and five Minutes to basilica of getsemani and 15 minutes to church of saint sepulcro plus many other historical sites and all just walking…
The reception and the garden were very poor. Old furniture, not well-maintained. Not a 4 stars hotel
İs good hotel
Thankyou very much
nicee
Room excellent staff excellent hotel Restraunt excellent but neighbor not good
Very nice
Everything was so good
Exelent! ! Exceeded my expectations.
Personnel was very friendly and helpful. View from hotel was spectacular. Safe and peaceful area. Very educated personnel, welcoming and hospitable. Thank you!
The most beautiful panoramic view that can be seen in Jerusalem belongs to this hotel. I would recommend it to everyone.
Best staff, best view, serene and close to the old city
Everything is good except staff and service. They’re starting to take breakfast dishes immediately while you’re eating, there’s a coffee machine but it’s not working. You need to use other one but they’re closing the doors. I don’t know why but something strange happening about the kitchen chief. It feels like they’re always following what you’re taking on your dishes. Rest of others are perfect but the service and kitchen has to be careful immediately, it’s so rude.
Perfect
I hope the food will be better
It became my second home.
All thing was very good just food was not bad
Perfect good, experium person and clean rooms
Thank you very much for all the friendly staff and everything.
Great place, quite and secure.
Very quiet room and property away from city noise with amazing views from the property. We will stay there again
Elijah, Sophian and other front desk staff are very helpful, as are the cleaning staff Saleh and Joseph, and the dining staff Mahmoud and Mohamed, the breakfast is a good value. We enjoyed our total 3 weeks here. I will be staying here again as it is quite compared to the old city and the rooms are clean and updated. Blessings
The property is quite and peaceful right in the mount of olives. The staff are all very helpful and honest. The bus stop is in front of the hotel, and an easy ride into old Jerusalem. The area is very safe, and the local people (mostly Muslim) are mostly friendly and helpful. We stayed about 3 weeks total here, and we look forward to coming again. The rooms are updated and clean, breakfast is a good value.
Great wiev and calm place
The hotel has a panoramic view in terms of location. It is possible to reach the city center by walking, bus or taxi. The hotel staff are very nice, friendly and warm. Although the price is much higher than the surrounding hotels, even twice as much, the breakfast offered is very limited and very simple. You will be bored if the products offered for breakfast are always limited and the same for long-term rather than short-term stays. I think not only me, but everyone staying at the hotel deserves a better quality and more diverse breakfast for the money I pay. I hope hotel officials read this and offer us more options for breakfast for long-term stays. If you are wondering what the options are. Mashed potatoes, french fries, fried mushrooms, sausage and sausage fries, eggplant, zucchini and pepper fries, tuna, green onion, parsley, arugula, onion, and similar alternatives should not be seen by customers.
Everything is really good, all the staff are very optimistic, helpful and friendly. The only drawback is that you have to honk the horn when leaving the parking lot. I hope a bell button will be installed at the parking lot exit and vehicle owners will not have to honk the horn. When every vehicle leaving the parking lot honks its horn, this creates a very unpleasant situation for people sleeping or resting. If the vehicle leaving the parking lot presses a bell button near the barrier, people will not be disturbed. I stayed for 7 days and since it was a pleasant hotel with a panoramic view, I extended my stay for another week. thank you for everything.
Great hotel to stay at because of the location. Good breakfast and rooms Used buses to take you down to the tram or to the bus / new railway station as well as getting taxi outside the hotel
Great view and service with affordable prices
Good, friendly
New Jerusalem
Nice hotel far away from old Jerusalem. Long walk to see or eat. But beautiful view. We will stay in new Jerusalem next trip it is easier to get to restaurants and shops
Best location in Jerusalem
Recently renovated hotel, very good service and room cleaning. Facing to Old Town Jerusalem and you can see all the way to Jordanian mountains from backyard platform. Breakfast-dinner buffet and dining room excellent. Stayed 7 nights and nothing to complain. Will come back for sure.
A Nice Experience
The hotel was clean and comfortable. The breakfast was exceptional.
A thumbs up! The
Seven Arches is a bit run down and clearly makes its money on the tour industry. That said, the room was comfortable and clean, the bed was good, food and service were good and the view is spectacular. We would use it again.
Not a great property. Very old and worn. My room was stuffy with a slow AC unit. Long Walk to the old City from the hotel
Poor hotel, not as advertised
Hotel is old, run down and not as advertised. We are very disappointed in hotels.com for advertising this hotel and recommended it.
Very nice hotel
Very well situated hotel, comfortable rooms, slightly dirty but overall clean, however the service must improve (incorrect information given at check in, lack of parking space for the hotel guests, etc.)
Epic view of the Old City
The staff and service were excellent but the shower was cold and had to get in and out quickly. The room was also very cold and heard several others complain to the front desk. They did deliver a small heater to my room however that warmed me up nicely. The view was unbelievable and we’ll worth the stay for that.
Great Hotel atop Mt. Olive
Make sure you purchase the Breakfast Dinner package. Great Staff Clean Room Great Location
Great location!
The hotel could not be better located. It’s right on top of Mt of Olives and walking disntace to Gethsemane and Old City. Room are ok and breakfast is good. I saw lots of soaked carpets (even in my room), but outside that it is pretty decent
The perfect view from The Mount of Olives
Exceptional view from The Mount of Olives and The Old City. And you can feel Gods Presence . Very Special Place to stay.
Best location for seeing Jerusalem, beautiful
This is an old Intercontinental Hotel back when the chain was owned by the Pan American Airlines, and was remodeled two years ago. Like the older hotels, it has spacious rooms and dining area. The dining room (used for breakfast) overlooks old Jerusalem in its magnificence. I do not think there is any other hotel in Jerusalem with such a view. You can also see the Dead Sea from the back of the hotel. It is a 20 minute walk (but down to enter the Lion's Gate and old Jerusalem. The buffet breakfast and dinner were excellent, probably on a 4 star level. If I ever get to return, this would be my first choice. Oddly, it was priced about 1/2 the other 3 and 4 star hotels like the Leonardo. The lobby is not ornate like some other hotels. Note: Google maps has two locations for it, only the southern one is correct.
We were very pleased with our stay at the hotel. The location is awesome. The staff was courteous and respectful. Mohammad at the reception was very helpful. They could add more variety with the breakfast and the bedsheets need to be replaced. The prize was reasonable. I will definitely stay at the hotel on my future visits in Jerusalem.
Nice place, not for walk to old city
Renovated hotel with Comfortable rooms, nice and vary breakfast. Difficult to go walking to the old city by because is in a mountain. In general good experience.
Best Hotel in all Jerusalem!
The hotel was everything and more what my family was expecting. If you use public transportation it drops you off right in front of the hotel. When I return I will be staying here again.
Quiet hotel within sight of the old city
This was a great staging hotel for visiting the old city of Jerusalem.
Awful reception service. DONT BOOK this hotel
Arrived at the hotel aroumd 4pm at the same time as a French couple.Elias the receptionist informed us that no room was available despite a paid for and guaranteed booking. He suggested ( to clear off his blame) that we spoke to the reception manager Eileen. Turned out she wanted to be just a supervisor and suggested speaking to the general manager.Passing the buck game. I was sent to another hotel near old city ( very noisy ) when one booked this hotel for its location / newly refurbished. I had booked 7 arches hotel for all its benefits but it’s clear that it’s location alone can’t win it a good reputation. In summary of you have an issue they pass each other the buck and no one wants to know. 0/5
Friendly, extremly helpful and supportive staff who went out of their way to make the stay most pleasant. Whilst the hotel might not be central it caters for a number of sights close by, boasts a spectacular panoramic view of Jerusalem and the Old Town is only a 20 minute walk away. The rooms are spacious and clean as are the bathrooms. Will definitely stay again when l return to Jerusalem.
not as good as i thought
too noisy too many early risers created such a noise
close to the old city, but in a very quiant area
I really liked this hotel. It is on the top of Mount Olives and has a spectacular view of Jerusalem. The rooms are spacious, bathrooms very modern, and yummy breakfast. The front desk clerk Elias and the manager ( Awni ? ), were very helpful. Close by are a few falafel and hummus cafes, as well food carts selling chicken, olives, and lamb pate. In front of the hotel I fed a pear to a camel.
Fair hotel still been renovated.
Hotel looks good on the outside and inside. However, d rooms had no fridge, no iron and my shower was cold throughout my stay. The food was nice though and u enjoyed the scenery of the location of the hotel
Best sunset view ever!
The hotel staff is very friendly, and the rooms are clean and comfortable. If you're looking for a fancy 5-star hotel to impress your friends this hotel isn't the one, but if you want a well maintained and professionally staffed hotel for a good night sleep. The owners and staff clearly care about keeping the rooms in good shape. Also, the value is excellent considering the high prices of hotels all over Jerusalem. If you're in good shape, you can walk down the hill to the old city in the morning and back up the hill at night - no wasting time with a rental car, taxis, buses, etc. The best thing is definitely the view! You get a 360 view of the whole city! At sunset, I noticed that a lot of people who aren't even staying at the hotel go out of their way to visit a sitting area in front of the hotel just to see the view - it's that good! I made a time lapse video and it came out great.
Bucket list
Hotel staff was great!!!! Any questions I had about sites buses taxis, breakfast buffet was ok, but who really cares about the free breakfast???? Great Location mount olives outside hotel, short walk to old city jerusalum. And price Location great!!!
Thanks
It ok not bad.just need little bit cleaning
Awesome Hotel with a Great view of Jerusalem
Great location, safe, friendly and helpful staff. delicious food.
Great view!
My stay was pleasant. It was perfect for travelers to the Old City and had spectacular views from the Mt of Olives. The area after dark was not overly conducive to wondering around or grabbing dinner. The hotel staff were very, very attentive.
in this case, last picked was the best
Due to a mix up on my having a hotel for my entire trip I picked this hotel because of location. Found out it was not so easy to find. On the map it was a no brainer, but the map didn't show all the narrow streets, or the steep hills, or was not clear on the dead ends, but after finding it I was pleasantly surprised at how beautiful this hotel is compared to 3 of the others I stayed at. The lobby is very large and clean, well lit, bit not much seating. The halls leading to the rooms are wide, and clean. Rooms are large with a very large window, some have a view and others look out at the main building, that is a couple hundred feet away. The hotel has a restaurant that has the free, or included breakfast that is well stocked with a good variety of items. It is very close to a lot of things, and busses stop right out front, anf if you have a rent car they offer FREE parking, which is a big deal for this part of the world.
this hotel is closed
I booked my hotel stay through expedia. When I arrived I learned that the hotel was closed for renovations. Thanks Expedia. To the credit of the hotel manager, they found me another hotel and arranged for the payment very quickly. When 7 Arches opens again, I would definitely visit. But I'm hesitant about Expedia at this point.
Nice view and perfect location , muslins areas
The best view over Jerusalem but the wrong place. If you rent a car be awake about you have to climb it and need a stronger engineer. The area is muslin but then prices are expensive if you are tourist. Internet just have front recepción and the taxis to the hotel won't to go because the traffic jam is a nightmare!!! But you need just one day for know all surrender areas historic, the location is perfect. Breakfast is a lottery some days are vary another are french buffet. You need ask scramble eggs to the chef.
Vacation
I was there in the summer. The air conditioner was turned on at 4 PM so you couldn't be in the room. When the A/C was turned on it did not cool very well. You will roast in the summer there. The employees were nice.
Review
Staff and location are fantastic. The view is the best for the price and proximity to all the old sites is priceless. Night view is great as well.
Dirty, non-hygienic, out of the way.
The worst Hotel I have ever stayed! I have traveled around the US, Central America and Europe and this hotel simply should not be on Hotels.com. It is dirty, you can tell the sheet had not been changed in weeks or even months, dusty, moldy, the hotel surroundings are filled with trash. I needed a hotel after my 3AM flight and did not want to spend $300 for a few hours of sleep. Having been at this hotel I would not stay there for free. Also consider that this hotel is out of the way and Taxis from the airport will not enter this area of town. Stay away from this hotel.
Seven Arches
Barely any improvements have been done to the hotel since 1967 when it was built. The location is great but the neighborhood can get quite insecure.
Great location, used to be great hotel
The hotel used to be nice, but it looks like it hasn't been updated since the 60's or 70's. The location is phenomenal right atop the mount of olives. But the hotel needs some upgrades. The breakfast was good and the staff was friendly enough. Although they were unforgiving about me checking out a day early.
Ok hotel
Given the price it's not bad. There's nothing near the hotel though and it's a bit of a trek to get places. Bed covers looked filthy and cleanliness wasn't a priority. Also Wi-Fi is only in the lobby and there wasn't any reception in the rooms.
Great location
We were on top of the hill. Great sight. Historic locations were nearby. We used the local taxicabs and were able to budget our stay for a full week. The breakfast was excellent, the staff were very helpful. If we go back we will stay there again. I think it is important to be able to appreciate the good in people, and understand the culture of the location if you are in Jerusalem for such an experience. All good thoughts. Thank you Seven Arches!
Go prepared.
Location is excellent overlooking the city. However, to sit outside to enjoy it is accompanied by persistent touts. The decor is basic but comfortable. Rooms huge. Breakfast basic, dinner was alright but they forgot my steak sauce and vegetables. Staff are fairly friendly. Was happy enough there until I was targeted by a taxi driver, Wally, who frequents the hotel and is friendly with the hotel security guard. I was conned and stolen from. The day I found out, the hotel receptionist would not let me use another phone - broken in my room- but after demanding help, the hotel manager obliged and even refunded some of my accommodation costs. On coming home, i discovered the fraud was much more serious and have written 3 e-mails since yesterday to the hotel manager informing him of this con man and also his involvement with the hotel security guard - I have as yet had no response. Housekeeping was a bit lapse with staff sometimes forgetting basics such as toilet roll and towels. One other receptionist had wandering hands too. When I reported to the reception I had been de-frauded from, no advice or help was given other than my using a phone. The staff booked a taxi for me quoting one price which turned out wasn't the truth. I would not return there again. No tea/coffee facilities in rooms and I had to go and actually go into the restaurant after asking reception to get e.g. tea, coffee, wine. Pretty self service. Some sound staff though of course who were helpful.
Decent hotel; good value; friendly staff
Hotel 7 Arches is very outdated. The appearance of rooms and facilities resembles a hotel from the '70's or '80's. However, the room was tidy with basic accommodations and a nice view of the garden and Mount of Olives. The price was very reasonable, especially considering I submitted the booking for the room just the morning of my stay. The hotel staff was friendly, helpful, and hospitable. No Wi-Fi, but a full breakfast in a lovely dining area is included for all guests. If you wish to give your business to a native Palestinian/Jordanian family and stay on the Mount of Olives, then I recommend it.
A slightly surprising gem
When we first booked we were quite nervous about being in East Jerusalem, but the hotel and location proved to be great. We arrived at 3 am due to flight delays and staff were very helpful in getting us too are room quickly. Woke up to the most magnificent views of the city imaginable, and a good Palestinian / international breakfast. The walk into the old city takes about 20 minutes and in good weather is pure pleasure , getting back up the hill is more of a challenge , but the 75 Bus from Damascus Gate works well . Locals were warm and friendly when we needed to ask directions , the taxi drivers are also good fun , everyone wanting to offer a special deal and a day trip to Bethlehem , Galilee etc (well worth agreeing prices in advance or insisting they use the meter) Rooms are a good size but by British standards dated , the beds are comfortable and their is plenty of hot water for a bath or shower , but you may have to request a stopper for the bath. The TV has no English Channels , WI FI is excellent in the lobby reception area but not available in the rooms.
well done
Excellent.
I have nothing to change on my report, All what i wrote was true. Bye, bye.
