Great stay! Very friendly staff. Gym and sauna not on site, but across the street. It was loud at night with neighboring bars.
We just loved this hotel and would stay there again
Great location for walking all around the city. This is a very cute boutique hotel. You are right next to the trolley so you’ll feel it before you hear it. The staff are all very nice and helpful.
Hard to reach rooms without stairs—not accessible
Very nice lady at check in. The location was so central, lots of shopping and dining options.
Great location, very helpful reception, good shower, really comfortable bed, funky decor
I have used Hotel 115 as a base and it’s great. Three stays between different adventures, 3 different rooms, always a welcoming staff. Rooms are clean and bright. You can walk everywhere from here!
Great accommodation just found the underground parking was confusing as 2 hotels share with separate access cards to be used. Need more signage
Very good location right next to tram terminus. Room and facilities were excellent.
Quirky hotel
Quirky hotel in excellent location. Late check in was a real challenge for international arrivals. Helpful staff.
This was a really quaint place. Over looking the old tram way it was really quite unique. Proximity to everything we wanted from our stay was within walking distance. Best part drop off and pick up from the airport via the No29 bus was awesome. cost was $2 each each way. Drop off was right across the street.
Mouldy, smell damped and funky.
Mouldy, smell damped and funky.
Funky decor in this v comfortable hotel. Really handy for the sightseeing tram, less than 5 minutes walk from New Regent Street wuth its chic bars, restaurants and shops. Close to Cathedral Square and the shuttle bus to the gondola. Excellent. Right next door grab a tasty breakfast at Tramway Cafe and the OGB restaurant across the street is superb with a masterly curated wine list
We had a great 4 day stay. Staff are very friendly and helpful. Very close to everything. There is street noise due to being in the city so take ear plugs if you are noise intolerant. Would definitely stay again
Excellent location, but a very small room and indifferent staff
one night in Christchurch
We stayed for one night on a trip around New Zealand - the hotel was central and easy to access the city
Great inner city choice
Perfect location. Rooms with character. Nicely decorated.
Fun location with city tram right outside the door.
Very friendly and helpful staff. Comfortable bed and great shower. Perfect location.
We loved our stay. Fantastic location, really friendly staff, clean and stylish accommodations, and comfy beds. Nothing else we could have asked for! Would definitely stay again!
Quality Accommodation in a Great Location.
Over all it was excellent. It was close to where I needed to be for work and also close to bars and restaurants so the location is ideal, and the restored heritage site is nice as well. Also good, given Christchurch's recent history, to not be in a tall building. The only small niggle was low water pressure and budget fittings in the shower. Given the quality everywhere else a bit more water pressure and maybe a rain shower or similar would have not been out of place. All things considered I highly recommend Hotel 115 and will definitely stay there again.
This hotel is a great place to stay, as it is conveniently located close to the city center, with trams right downstairs. However, one downside is that the tram can be quite noisy, and the main strip tends to get crowded with pubs and clubs. If you are a light sleeper, I would recommend looking for accommodation elsewhere, as the walls are thin, and I could hear the noise from neighboring rooms.
Great locatiom
Fantastic hotel and location. Highly recommended.
Hotel 115 is a WONDERFUL hotel! I will happily visit it again and highly recommend it. It’s beautiful and colourful and the staff are kind and caring. The location is excellent. The late check-in option is really cool, too.
Had a great stay at Hotel 115! Great location, easy to get to and from the airport ans the bus stop is just around the corner. But my only issue was that I wish they were more clear online about the gym and pool access. I purposely booked this hotel for its access to a gym and pool but it wasn’t mentioned that there were limited passes available to guests to use the facility. We had to wait for other guests to finish before being able to use the gym and pool so I’m guessing there’s around 2-4 passes total for the guests to use. Other than that I had a great stay!
Was great having the tram just there. Dining close by was great
.
The staff were amazing. So lovely and so helpful. We loved the location and will stay again. I would recommend to anyone wanting to see Christchurch and experience the great food, bars and hospitality.
The room was quite tight, but the amenities and location was excellent. There was a significant vibration when the tram went by, but this stops mid-late evening and does not start until mid-morning. I was surprised to discover other people had stayed in the rooms next to me, so the noise insulation is very good. I would stay here again, but not with my partner (unless I was in a bigger room).
Great location, great staff, beautiful room
Clean and very central to the CBD. Highly recommended.
Didn’t approve paying for parking
Good location
Lovely room, styled nicely. Not an overly welcome when we are arrived but he got the job done. We chose underground parking despite the $30 a night charge. Entering the hotel from the basement for the first time is not very welcoming at all, dark corridor filled with linen trolleys made you feel you were in the wrong place. Would stay again though, great location!
It was really nice staying at Hotel 115 in Cathedral Junction. There is plenty of variety in restaurants and bars within a few minutes walking time from the hotel. The facilities are of a high standard and the staff are friendly & helpful. It was very quiet at night (after the trams stop running). If I had been looking for a hotel from the street I might have picked it because it’s in a busy area but I’m pleased I found it on the web. I visited for a business trip but I will go back to Hotel115 for a holiday soon. A car park under the hotel will cost you another $30 a night but there isn’t much else you can do and you know it’ll be safe there. Just make sure you reverse into the carpark slot because if someone else doesn’t park their car properly you’ll have real problem getting out. This was the only irritation during my stay at Hotel 115. That’s not the hotel’s problem of course. In summary, I don’t think you would be disappointed with your stay at Hotel 115. I highly recommend it.
Lovely hotel, there’s a great little Japanese restaurant below & easy to walk from to get around city & parks & other great cafes/bars/restaurants. Only thing was I could hear the music pumping & night crowd till quite late into Saturday night - Sunday morning so maybe ask for room away from street unless you will be out with them !;)
The hotel is located in the CBD which makes it very easy to access good shopping, food, and coffee. The room itself was comfortable and clean. In some places it is looking a bit tired and worn and could do with a refurbishment, especially the bathroom. Parking is available on site but costs 30 NZD a night, which seems a bit expensive since it's for paying guests. Despite some of these observations, we would stay here again. The staff were very helpful and made us feel at home.
Great building and location. Easy to get to shops bars, coffee shops and close to the river.
Very difficult to be able to reach due to the one way streets . It is a wonderful central location
Advertised a heated indoor swimming pool when in fact there is none . They provided a key to use the pool in a fitness club across the main road.
Great staff and location. The only issue was that parking was a bit overpriced.
Comfortable and quiet
Very comfortable, quiet and handy to the central city.
Check in was clunky, arrived after 9 pm (flight delayed) and had to wait in the cold for 15 minutes to access the building, even though we had called prior to 9 pm and advised the time we would arrive. Night bell did not operate so had to call back to raise a response at the door. Night manager was not very friendly when he did arrive, didn't acknowledge our wait time or apologise for taking so long. Apart from the initial experience we were impressed with the quality and cleanliness of the room, good showers and heating so it was unfortunate our initial experience was negative.
We liked everything except the night manager (male) who checked us in on our first night who was quite rude to all of our party. The gorgeous lady on front desk the next day made up for him, thank you.
Great, convenient hotel
What a great hotel. Perfect location, great offerings and amenities for their guests. Very comfortable and good friendly staff. I really enjoyed my stay.
Very quaint boutique property!
Great hotel, friendly staff, awesome location, very central and close to eateries.
Will definitely be back, great spot and facilities
Clean, friendly safe and close to amenities
The room was very clean and stylish, a little dated in places and only a jug nothing else however I did book a lower priced room so that may be why. It is a quaint hotel. Apart from being so close to New Regent Street, there is also the option to use the gym and indoor pool at The Heritage across the road which was an added luxury.
Rooms are neat, clean and smartly decorated. Also: a cafetierre/plunger and good, real coffee in the room! Desk team were fantastic... I needed a set of docs printed, at 7am and it was no problem! (sort of saved my bacon...) Great location, nice rooms, lovely and quiet and temperature as cool/warm as you want.
Superb location, can walk everywhere. Gym a bonus and very positive and helpful staff. Will return!
I booked here to be close to the tramways. It is so convenient. All the four trams we travelled on are beautifully restored, with commentary from the pleasant and helpful drivers, and running every 15 minutes. There is a convenient booking office here as well.
Ballet
Really good tidy hotel. Few more places to eat in the Cathedral Junction/nearby now. Isaac Theatre Royal and new regent street 2 min walk away.
Brilliant boutique hotel, easy walking distance to everything.
Great location. Easy 5min walk to main shopping precinct but far enough away that its still nice and quiet.
A great place to stay. Kids rooms were excellent
This hotel was our favorite throughout our whole trip of the south island. Good quality rooms and a great location with fabulous eats for breakfast lunch and dinner just out the door.
Boutique hotel feelin the city center. Trolley station right outside located in super cute town sqare surrounded by shops and cafes. Just a short walk to pubs and restaurants.
Very pleasant stay
Lovely hotel. Staff very friendly and accommodating. Close to Regents street. Tram parks under your hotel which adds to the experience. Pre- book car park if required as limited spaces.
Fabulous little hotel in a perfect location.
Great spot to attend a conference at Te Pae. The room was clean, comfortable & perfect for me on my own. I did think the eco credentials could’ve been improved by avoiding the single use shampoo etc. I brought my own. Amazing proximity to eateries etc & the river for some time in nature.
The lady on the counter was absolutely wonderful and extremely understanding and helpful a credit to the employer we will stay again.
Absolutely the best place to stay in Christchurch, central to everything you want to see and the staff and hotel are brilliant
Loved this hotel! Super convenient to all the sites and lots of dining options. Easy walking to anything in Christchurch centre. Would definitely recommend!
The hotel was in a perfect location I could walk anywhere The tram for visitors is at your door step as tram number 1 There’s a lovely cafe right out the door or turn right walk a few metres and there’s plenty of cafes and restaurants I would highly recommend this hotel and it was just so quiet I hardly saw any people in it or heard anyone it was bliss
Access to the tram which provided so much availability to explore the highlights of the area
My favorite hotel out of 8
This was hands down my favorite hotel of my 4 week visit to New Zealand. Comfortable: bed, and 2 heaters in room. Solid Wi-Fi. Everything worked. Helpful and friendly staff. The tram only runs during the day, so nights were very quiet. As is typical for a boutique hotel, rooms were smallish, but definitely adequate for me. The shower set up was rather simple.
It met our needs
Nice hotel, good service
Good hotel in a great location. No restaurant on premises but plenty around, reception were very helpful. Room looked like it had been renovated, but bathroom and shower curtain were quite outdated
Everything was great
Service, staff, amenities and rooms immaculate, excellent
Great place within walking distance of foods and attractions. Also easy to access to leave anywhere outside of the city.
The room was just very very small and access to the room involved going thru 2 secure doors … almost impossible with suitcases and backpacks!
Great location. Comfortable but poor shower.
Great location. Friendly helpful staff. Shower (in fact a wet room) room dangerous as not drain and slippery after use - had to use bath towels each day after shower to mop up. Poor design. No recycling options.
The property was unique, a boutique hotel with different layouts for each room. The only downfall was the 4 or 5am garbage pickup. This happened both days we spent there.
Excellent all round
Centrally located, next to the tram terminus. A good base to explore the beautiful, walkable city.
Excellent location.
Beautiful property in the middle of everything. Can my & clean. Staff were great.
Very nice and centralized
It was central, affordable and very quiet. I thought the lighting in the hallways should be better and should stay on.
Always go for a bigger room
Was ok,but the standard and queen rooms are far too small and bathroom is claustrophobic. Once we upgraded to a king room it was far better
Fantastic location, very clean and pleasant, rooms had a fridge but unfortunately no microwave
The location is really great but take in mind that its downtown so there's street noise. Some rooms do not have AC so you need to sleep with your window open.
If you want to get to sleep before midnight, don't stay at this hotel. The night club opposite blasts such loud music that the walls of the room were vibrating. The hotel promised to call me to discuss but haven't and have ignored all my emails. So sad that they don't care at all about their guests.
I liked the room however there was no fridge to keep our fresh milk or juice cold. Horrible milk pods supplied. I think a fridge necessary. A microwave would also be an advantage. We are not able to eat out every night !!
The staff were friendly and the bed very comfortable.
Place to stay
Excellent location for the trams, buses and restaurants. They even offer a hotel laundry service by the kilo and not per garment, ideal after 4 weeks in Oz. More hotels should offer this type of service.
Good location with easy access to activities.
Great location, close to restaurants, the Tram annd bus stop. Also close to the I Sight information office, which was very helpful. We were in Christchurch 2 days and walked or used public transportation. Ubers & taxis also available.
It has a great location walking distance to new reagent street. They have great service staff were wonderful and place was really nice.
Great location. Lovely hotel.
No breakfast in hotel but great cafe opposite. Great location. Staff super-helpful. Room a bit small.
Last minute booking for a night away for myself. Great competitive rates, lovely room. Staff were very friendly and helpful.
Closeness to the city central ideal and trams right outside
Such a great place to stay! Very comfortable, quiet and updated/clean! The team even contacted me the day before check-in to ask when I was coming in and make other arrangements if they weren't available at the front desk. The location was great - steps away from hop on/off trolley and very short walk to many restaurants. Laundry available a few doors down. Highly recommend this hotel!
Ok, nothing special
Pros: Central location Cons: Small rooms, expensive parking
Average hotel
This hotel is well located, but in all other respects it is just average. The rooms are sparsely furnished as are the amenities.
Chose the Correct Room Location
Good value but def need to have a room w AC as the tram & street noise was loud w windows open. Ask for a fan.
Great location. Friendly & helpful staff. Chic decor and fast Internet. We'd stay again without hesitation.

Cute boutique hotel right in Cathedral Junction. It is right next to the trolley line but it’s not loud. They do have access to a pool and sauna in the hotel across the street but the front desk won’t necessarily remember to tell you about it or how to get there unless you ask. I would stay here again.
