Very clean and safe. Good value. Easy walk to all the main areas, but away from the noise. The staff were very friendly and helpful, including getting up VERY early to provide me a bag breakfast for my Inca Trail and Machu Michu Picchu Trek.

Staff was truly amazing and helpful. rooms were noisy and had leaking toilets and faucets. but I cannot say enough about how good the staff was.

Great hostel in San Blas

This is a great little hostel with mostly older adults (meaning it is NOT a party place. It is in the San Blas barrio mostly away from the noise and ubiquitous hawkers that plague the Plaza de las Armas. Good variety of restaurants near by with a nice little bar up from the Plaza San Blas called Km.O. Nighly live music of uneven quality. Older crowd. Smitty at the front door is funny and can direct you the sister restaurant that has excellent food.I recommend asking for an upstairs room because when I was in 101, I could hear every creaky step of those above. Staff generally is great and the breakfast is just ok. Eggs come with breakfast regardless of whether the staff offers them or not. I would stay here again for the location, charm of the street and the hostal, and the clean rooms. Not the cheapest hostal though.

Excellent stay

The room was very clean and well decorated and we always had a cleaning service. They were always ready to help at any hour, even when we had tours very early in the morning. They prepared our lunch box for the day. Nice and quiet neighborhood. I recommend this place 100%!

A Comfortable and Welcoming Option in Old Cusco

The staff are really sweet there and the deal is wonderful for what you get. I thought the place was very comfortable - the beds were nice, the rooms were warm, and the hot water was perfect. The location is a very short walk from Plaza de Armas and surrounded by great restaurants in San Blas. I really couldn't complain at all and would definitely go back on my next trip.

We loved this hotel. My daughter (in her twenties) said she was in heaven. Definitely the best of our trip so far. Its not luxury and if you are looking for perfection this isn't it. However, if you want comfort, character and the friendliest and most helpful staff you can't do much better than this. Especially at this price. Loved it. Thanks.

Loved the location in San Blas. The staff tried to help with everything despite our lack of common language. They were extremely accommodating with our eating limitations. Git our laundry done. Booked our tours and taxis as needed.

Loved the setting but it was a little high to climb to as I had a hard to with the altitude.

The worst. the air conditioner from next building is up against the wall making my room sound like a jet taking off. They did move me to a room down stairs where I didnt have to hear the air conditioner as much only to discover that there is zero sound dampening in the floor so you can hear every word spoken by the unit above not to mention every foot step on the hardwood floor sounding like a rifle. And, o yes, if you want to come here realize the street number is out of synch, so your taxi won't take you there and you can carry your bags on your own for the last couple of blocks. Moved Halfway Through Stay

The good: - continental breakfast was good and sufficient with fresh eggs cooked if desired. Also willing to make you a to-go breakfast if you’re leaving early. - Great location, easy walking distance to Plaza De Armas (main square) - Clean for the most part - easy, inexpensive laundry service Now the bad... - Shower only warm if taken during off-hours (10am-1pm). Always cold if taken in the evening. - They made us move rooms halfway through our stay even though they told us they wouldn’t when we checked in (6 day stay, as we were checking-in another guest who was leaving to go to another hotel had the same issue) - WiFi only worked about half the time and we had to frequently request it be re-set.

Great hotel/hostel with private bathroom

Reasonably close to main tourist sites. In the walkable part of the old city. Safe area. Good eats nearby. (There is a great vegan restaurant 7 minutes down the street.) Very helpful staff. Room was a bit cramped, but beds were excellent, and a good value for the price. Comfortable private bath with good sized shower. Clean. Nice breakfast.

Economical option in Cusco

The room was not spacious, but sufficient, and comfortable and a great value for the price. They made us sack breakfast for our 4:30 AM departure. And start our bags for four days until I return. A great choice in Cusco. On a typically historic street.

Great place to stay one Cuzco

We had a great stay at Hostal Grial, the rooms were clean and spacious. The staff was great very helpful and friendly with everything we asked. Good location for getting around in Cuzco.

Beds are amazing, they all have orthopedic matresses so they are really confortable!! they kept our bags during the 5 days of the Salkantay trek even if we didn't have a room with them after the trek (we wanted but hotel was full). breakfast is good. at the end of a street, so a little far from the center, but less noisy!

Comfy hotel in a great location

This is a great little hotel. The room is comfortable, the staff is nice and the breakfast is great! My only complaint is that we could hear everyone walking around on the floor above us. That is only an issue if the people are waking up at 2am for the Rainbow Mountain tour. Other than that, this place is great!

Simple but friendly

Nice hotel in the San Blas area of Cusco. Staff were very friendly and helpful. On arrival a pot of coca tea was brought to my room to help with the altitude sickness. Fairly comfortable - suitable enough for a few nights.

Quaint, quiet hotel in a beautiful part of Cusco

I am 28 years old and traveling solo throughout Peru and I really liked this hotel. The staff was unbelievably kind and made me a sack lunch for my early departure at 4am to do the Salkantay Trek. They also let me keep some of my luggage there for 5 days while I was gone even though I only stayed one night. The room was comfy and the hotel itself was small and had great character. It was only a short walk to Catedral San Blas and numerous shops and restaurants. It is up on the hill a little bit so the streets and alleys are beautiful to walk through. You could still hear traffic and dogs barking at night but after being in Cusco for two weeks and staying at multiple hotels and hostels I have learned to just accept that as part of the experience. I would definitely recommend this place for someone wanting a peaceful night before embarking on an early trip.

Wonderful place

Stayed here before and after our visit to Machu Picchu. Left most of our luggage there no problem and our bags were ready in our room when we returned for second stay. Exceptional staff, condition of hotel everything was perfect, including hot shower and lots of duvets / blankets for cold nights. Comment on previous reviews re noise - we had downstairs room and as the floors are wooden there is noise from people walking around upstairs - nothing ear plugs can't resolve for light sleepers, or request room upstairs. Internet connection excellent - able to Skype :) Thanks to all the staff for a wonderful stay!

Atendimento excelente, muito cuidado com os hospedes, fizeram sanduiche para levarmos ao passeio, tudo muito limpo e cheiroso, camas sempre arrumadas e cafe da manha com variedade.

Charmant petit hôtel du quartier San Blas. Eau chaude (et tapis de bain ! Suffisamment rare au Pérou pour être signalé), lit confortable, petit déjeuner copieux et service impeccable. Nous recommandons chaleureusement !

Meu quarto era muito frio, mesmo com aquecedor. E havia uma pequena janela no alto que deixava passar luz do sol logo cedo pela manhã, o que atrapalhou muitíssimo meu sono. O chuveiro apesar de bem quente fica num banheiro muito gelado. Apesar de ter tido um atendimento cortês (a recepcionista me levou no quarto um chá assim que cheguei porque percebeu que eu não estava bem devido a altitude), eu não gostei do hotel e não me hospedaria novamente. Achei também deficiente a limpeza dos quartos em alguns aspectos.

Schöne Unterkunft in guter Lage

Tolle Lage in San Blas in enger Gasse. Knapp 10 Minuten zu Fuss zum Hauptplatz. Kleines, zweckmäßiges Zimmer mit Fenstern im Dach. Alles sehr sauber. Bequemes Bett, heisses Wasser, keine Heizung. Das Zimmer liegt direkt am Treppenaufgang und oberhalb der schönen Patio. Von daher etwas laut. Gutes Frühstück und freundliches, hilfsbereites Personal.

Boa opção em Cusco. Próximo ao charmoso bairro San Blas. Fica a algumas quadras e uma boa subida da praça principal, mas nada que prejudique a boa localização que conta com bons restaurantes e cafés. Hotel simples, mas confortável e conta com um bom café-da-manhã.

마추픽추에 1박 여행을 하고 다시 돌아왔습니다. 늘 그렇듯 반갑게 맞아두고 조낼 때도 정답게 보내줍니다. 그런데 처음과 다른 방으로 주어졌는데 방이 더 넓어 좋았지만 2층 발소리가 크게 나서 시끄러 깼네요. 와이파이도 더 안 되서 문을 열어놓아야만 되었고, 그나마 사람들이 모이는 밤부턴 아예 안 되구요. 이런 점들이 많이 아쉽습니다.

집처럼 아늑한 호텔

직원들이 친절하고 늘 웃는 얼굴로 협조적입니다. 조식을 먹는 공용공간도 아늑하고 편합니다. 방이 많지 않아 투숙객들이 서로 조용하려고 노력하며 조심하는 분위기가 유지되고요. 아침밥도 딱 먹기 적당합니다. 늘 문을 잠궈놓아서 매번 벨을 눌러야 해서 귀찮지만 안전하게 숙소를 지켜주어 좋습니다. 그런데 방이 좀 많이 작습니다. 더블침대를 벽에 붙여놓은 상태로 한쪽에 간신히 걸어갈 통로밖에 없습니다. 좀 갑갑해요. 그리고 길 쪽으로 창문이 난 방은 새벽부터 체크아웃하거나 택시 타고 체크인 하러 들어오는 사람들 소리에 잠을 설칠 수 있습니다. 매트리스 좋고 시트도 깨끗해 좋습니다. 이불이 크고 무거운데 그런데도 밤에 자다 보면 공기가 차 춥네요. 난방이 있으면 좋겠습니다. 인터넷은 잘 안될 때도 있지만 전반적으로는 오케이구요. 욕실 수압 좋고 뜨거운 물도 잘 나옵니다. 메인광장까지 걸어서 10분인데 걸을만 해서 위치도 그리 나쁘지 않습니다. 방이 작아 불편한 걸 빼면 지내기 아주 좋습니다.
