Enjoyable stay here. Central location and walking distance to all the main sites or easily accessible via metro. Room was comfortable

La calle donde está ubicado está en un área donde hay movimiento diurno y nocturno de chicas que trabajan en la calle, pero en general el ambiente es tranquilo. El Hostal es muy bonito, seguro y cerca de todo.

It was ok for the price. You can barely move your arms up to waah your hair because of how small the shower is.

The room was so small that neither i nor my suitcase could pass the narrowest corner.

The property was clean and easy walking distance to the Gran Via. The staff were all friendly and helpful.

It was in a good central location and very good price. The bed was comfortable and the noise at night was very low. Would definitely stay here again.

Great start to Spain

Was a pleasant experience. Excellent location. Walking distance to great dining and a shoppers delight particularly for high end stores.

There was heavy construction in the facility during my stay. This included hammering onto my room walls!!!!!! Simply abusive and a horrible experience I would like to get some accountability for.

Is right behind Zara store on Gran Via .superb location .the only thing is that that little street where the Hostel is is run down and full of prostitutes at night..but they don't bother you. And the Hostel locks they're door at certain time so it is very safe that I know

It is a very well located property

Servicio al cliente y atención terrible, las dos chicas que tuvimos oportunidad de conocer en recepción con una actitud pésima. Cero servicio al cliente, mal humoradas. La cama dura y las instalaciones ya son antiguas, el sector muy sucio.

Lovely short vacation to Madrid

It was right next to two tube stations, lots of lovely bars and cafes, The room was twin room but beds centimetres apart. It was adequate. Maybe bottle of water to kettle as courtesy

Overal good with some complaints

Good Customers service. Some prostitution activities in the area. Very noisy after Midnights. I could not sleep sometimes because of the noise coming from a bar next door. Location is in the Center of Madrid.

Proximity to Grand Via. True to the description on expedia

This is a very convenient location. The room was clean and spacious. There are no amenities - no in room coffee or refrigerator. You have to ask the front desk for a hair dryer. The property has had a facelift, but it shows its age. The room was quiet to the outside, but you could hear people talking in the hall and the room next door. Overall, it is a good budget hotel, but expect no frills.

Room was in great condition and clean

The hotel is basic, clean, comfortable, and very well maintained. The owner must love art because there are quite a few nice pieces in the common areas. Small bathroom, and shower was tiny - perhaps not safe if you are a big person. Interior walls are a bit thin but exterior door was very sound insulating - particularly given the central location. Independent bakeries, shops, bars, clubs, and restaurants are all over the neighbourhood and of course Gran Via and Fuencarral (my preferred shopping street) are both just a short walk away. Great value and I hope to stay again.

I was very happy with how clean the room was and once you have got your bearings I like the location close to gran via and massalana. It would be nice to have tea making facilities in the room.

Convenient

My room was tiny and quite old fashioned compared to some other rooms. As a solo female traveller I did not feel safe especially at night. The road was dark and in a red light area. However on arrival the first receptionist was very friendly and helpful.

It was a wonderful experience. The room and shower were a tad small. The AC was great!

A smart tv would be a good addition

We always stay here when we are in Madrid. The location is great. At night it does get a bit sketchy around there, but nothing to be concerned about.

The AC has to be 27 degree celsius or higher. This reduced the comfort.

OK spot for a night or two

Great location and simple room. Has the bare necessities, not the most comfortable (especially the beds/pillows) but fine for a couple nights. Walls are paper thin

Overall, it is a good place to stay if you are traveling without children. The service was good and the facility was ok.

Bom apartamento

O pessoal do hotel possui boa educação e são atenciosos. O quarto possui um ar condicionado bem forte e um chuveiro amplo. Contudo, no piso, há diversos azulejos que estavam soltos, acredito que há uma necessidade de renovação do revestimento do chão do apartamento em que ficamos.

Very close to Gran Via. A nice restaurant called Public just 2 mins away walking. Quiet even in the middle of the city. Nice room with air conditioning.

Prime location. The hostal is quiet and clean, friendly staff available 24h (but not always know english). Hot water, smart tv and comfy bad. Highly recommended.

As other reviews mention, there is prostitution in this side street from the main drag. Nonetheless, it is still a safe area as there are tourists and eateries all over. The property itself is very clean and modern. Check in was easy and the front desk was very friendly. Excellent value for the location and proximity to tourist area.

It was fine for a one night stay. Location was great but the hotel is pretty dated. The bed was a bit uncomfortable. That said, I’d say it met my expectations.

Nice and eco- friendly

Hotel very clean and people at the desk very nice. Really like idea about "green button" which mean they do not change the towels till is needed. Dispensers rather than samples is nice and eco- friendly. I would definitely come back.

Good affordable option in the center of Madrid! AC worked great, the room was clean and decent size. Bathroom and shower was good, plenty of towels. The street scene outside was a bit sketchy but overall no problems. Some street noise during the night but nothing terrible. Loved the balcony!

The big problem in this property is that the location is surrounded by prostitutes 24/7. It is not for families or couples

Nice place, very well located. The street is not the nicest in Madrid, but still you can have a quiet night sleep. Bed is confortable and staff is friendly

Decent price, decent place

I enjoyed my stay here. The hotel is located very close to Gran Via so it's essentially a 10 to 20 minute walk to all the major attractions of Madrid. It's far enough off the main road that it's not insanely busy. My room faced the back of the building so I did not hear any noise from the street. The room was clean. My only complaint is that the doors are very thin so you hear everything from the hallway and that would wake me up in the mornings. There are a lot of reviews about the presence of prostitutes on the street which is certainly true but there were only a couple and they don't bother you in any way. As a solo, female traveller I never felt unsafe or uncomfortable. I think it's a good spot for the price they charge, especially given so much else in Madrid is very expensive. The front desk is staffed 24/7 and they all spoke English and were very nice.

Tres bon sejour dans cet hotel : pour la localisation on ne peut faire mieux! Quant a la chambre elle etait spacieuse, propre...dis tributeur boissons chaudes et froides a l entrée, consigne pour le depart...enfin tout etait parfait! ( La rue surprenante a l arrivée)

La localización del hotel es buena, cerca de todo, pero está en una calle donde hay prostitutas y travestis a toda hora del día, lo cual provoca inseguridad. El staff del front desk no es nada amable, el de limpieza si. El cuarto es diminuto, cómodo únicamente si es solo una persona a pesar de que lo ofertan como habitación doble.

Está súper cerca a la gran vía. Literal a menos de una cuadra, pero de noche da un poco de miedo porque hay fiestas por la zona. No hay ruido en el hotel lo que es muy bueno, y el staff súper bueno porque nos dieron tips y organizaron el taxi

the area around the hotel was dirty and probably with prostitutes. It's not the hotel's fault, but still, it's an issue. of course, I book a 3 star hotel, so I know that it can't be perfect. The hotel staff was excellent.

It does its work

Small room but it does its work. Pretty close to the center, a bit of strange street but not much to worry about. The rooms are more than enough, I got to work a couple of days from there. My only complaint would be the bed not being the most comfortable but not the worse I´ve been on.

Staff were friendly and helpful. Clean room and adequate size for a few nights stay. Good location - only a few mins walk to Gran Via and Sol. Could be rather noisy at evenings will people coming back or going out - closing of doors very noisy and could hear noise in the corridors. Not a good view from room.
