Very nice people
Add had laundry as the amenity but is a service outside of the building. Very misleading. Breakfast was good but not great either. Close to many things
Anosa Casa is an old property in the Old Town area. My husband and I enjoyed our stay there. The hosts were very friendly and helpful, they care about their property and it shows, it is clean, fresh and beautifully kept. We found it very convenient for the cathedral and for everything else we wanted to explore.
It was at the center of the city and within walking distance to many dinning establishments and the Cathedral.
Nice quiet hotel not far from the Train Station and Cathedral. Easy to get around and great little place to eat.
Excellent value hotel in Santiago
Perfect location! Staff were helpful with recommendations, laundry, and all my questions. Breakfast was simple, but enough to start the day well, with very good coffee. The room was small, but comfortable and with a good bathroom.
Maria & Antonio are wonderful persons. They gave us important very important clues to move around the city. Excellent property with deliciuos breakfast. I give this prpperty 5 star review
Hostel operated by a very nice couple in a quiet part of Santiago. If you are looking for a quiet stay this is the place; highly recommended!!!
Very nice place to stay .
Great place but no sleep and noisy
Host fanny and Thomas were great, great location and nice accommodation. But it has to be said the walls and doors are paper thin. Enough to even hear the snoring of other rooms. I got one hour sleep as room 3 thought it acceptable to come in drunk shouting and slamming doors. No one there to tell him to keep the noise down.

Excellent communication. The breakfast was very good and always fresh. The apartment is well clean and the building is well represented.
This was a clean, quiet place to spend to time in a fabulous city! One of the best decisions I made was to stay here 3 nights! Breakfast was optional for me and I availed myself of it— all was excellent!
no elevator!!! wifi never works for more than 30 seconds room ok, but not great value for money
Great location and good service. Breakfast available on the main floor
Wonderful stay!
A very kind lady did the check in for us. We left our Rucksack with her while we went for a Camino to Finisterre and Muxía. We definitely hope to be back to stay another night before our departure. Great value form money and a most excellent breakfast!
Love the location. Helpful staff, comfortable bed, nice bath. FYI if you’ve never stayed in a narrow lane with tall structures on both sides, just bring earplugs. Spaniards are wonderfully social and loud into the latter night. Which is one of the reasons I love Spain.
Nice place to stay in Santiago. A no frills place, clean and in the old part of the city close to most of
Clean and central
Perfectly fine. In quietish street backing onto old town. Ideal for tourist trails and amenities. No lifts but happy to climb up to 3rd floor and reception was efficient and helpful. V clean room and bathroom. Would have liked tea/coffee making facilities in room. Breakfast available in hotel but there was a lovely cafe opposite with friendly staff and this was ideal.
Wonderful old town experience
The Hostal is super clean and right in the historic district with the most amazing restaurants and shopping from 50 meters away. It is very small and has a lot of stairs and no parking except the town underground parking but that is very close. The website is not accurate in English but not the fault of the Hostal.
Location is great. Parking about 100 mt away in the public parking and xead center of everything for me its great
I really enjoyed the stay- clean and has all the essentials. And right in front of Plaza de Galicia for the airport. It is a bit small but was perfect for me for one night. Doesn’t have any fridge or water boiler so don’t expect those.
Would return
We stayed here after walking the Portuguese Coastal Camino and the location was very convenient to Old Town. Our arrival at the Hotel was not very welcoming, in fact it was quite cold! However after 3 nights stay the front desk lady was warmer at breakfast. Do not be shocked by the size of room and bathroom, it’s quite small and cramped especially the shower. For the price in Old Town it’s good value though and spotless!
Perfecta localización. Muy limpio! Muy amable su encargada.
Great value for the proce and location. Very clean and the staff is very helpful. Located just a few minutes walking distance from the Cathedral.
Anosa Casa
This is the second time we have stayed at Anosa Casa, located in the historic district and less than a 15 minute walk to the Cathedral. There is parking in the plaza de Galicia (Visa card). Maria at the reception is a gem of a person. It is a quaint simple place. The outer walls are 3 or 4 feet thick. so the building must have been constructed before the 1600s. It is very comfortable, and really intended for the Peregrinos (pilgrims). It is a great location. Many historic and spiritual buildings. D'Obispo Tapas Bar is our favorite. You can have a simple breakfast at Anosa Casa or walk a short distance to the Blu Cafe. This is a spiritual vibrant place. From here we took a trip to Fisterre, once considered the end of the earth (Finis Terre - Fin de tierra.) I'm sure we will return to Anosa Casa.
Great location, good breakfast and a warm welcome
Great location, just minutes from the Plaza Galacia and the airport bus which made arriving and departing a breeze but also just minutes from the cathedral and all the interesting streets and passage ways. Great breakfast and always a warm welcome
Historic feel in a historic town
Immaculate, well-located, close to airport bus drop off. Room was very small but not a problem for a short stay.
Quiet, little hostel well positioned and extremely well kept. Highly recommend
The property is a late 20th century style pension, The room is adequate size and the shower facilities are in a bathtub causing a bit of dancing around. There is no staff available during the day, we also work in the café connected to the pension, which is where their attention is. The place was perfectly fine. It is right on the edge of the old city so that you can easily access the airport bus which is only two blocks away. there are many good restaurants with and very easy walking distance
Fabulous location
Fabulous location. On the edge of historic part and new part. We were able to go back and forth to hotel room. So convenient. Perfect for end night of Camino.
Good location
It is a nice and clean place, in the center of the city, the lady at the front desk, Maria, is a very nice and polite person. Rooms are not too big but enough for 2 people. I recommend this hostal for the price, the location, and the cleanliness of the place. If I go to Santiago again will try to make a reservation there.
Lovely hostel
Fantastic location, 2 minutes walk from airport bus drop off and 5 minutes walk to cathedral. Quiet location but right in the centre of everything.
Excellent location. Maria was very nice and helpful.
Loved this location!
Perfect location in historic part of city. Front desk woman very helpful with all kinds of requests. Comfortable pretty clean
Great location
Hosts were helpful and provided a map of area. Breakfast was very reasonablely priced at 4€ with great coffee fresh orange juice toast croissants jam ham and cheese. Great location close to Praza de Galicia and old town with short and interesting walk to cathedral. Room was small but all we needed, beds comfortable and everything very clean. Laundry service on site done quickly. Free luggage storage available
No complaints!
Very nice establishment. 10-15 minute walk to Cathedral. Great breakfast for 4euros! Note that I contacted host before to let them know my arrival time. Reception is open from 8:00-20:00, but host can be contacted outside these hours is necessary. We had no problems. Great great stay. Would stay again.Very clean :) Also, a couple blocks from bus stop to Airport.
A very nice studio not too far from the center of town. Very safe and very well decorated.
Small, but very adequate room--clean and comfortable. Good location--close to sights, restaurants. Was able to get my laundry done here, at a reasonable price.
Some receptionist not able to give much re santiag
Very accessible.though alleyway bit dark at night.no breakfast available on hotel site.luckily resto around the area.early around 8am noise due to building works outside.cleaners bit noisy while you are still asleep (hoovering, sweeping the floors).walls not noise proof.
NIce and clean
great location, everything is verygood. The room is cozy.
Nice Hotel in historic part of town
Excellent choice Low price extremely well situated and very clean Quite close to stop of airport bus Only 5 to 10 minutes from.Cathedral of Compostela
Convenient, comfortable, economical choice
Made the reservation online just a couple hours before my arrival. Receptionist was surprised when I arrived, but gracious and accommodated me quickly. Room was quiet and private, on the top floor of a small narrow building, stairs only. Room had the bare essentials, plus a skylight that made it feel luxurious. Bathroom and shower were very tight but functional. Shower had hot water and good water pressure. Bed was very comfortable, firm mattress, clean. Excellent location for proximity to sights and for catching the airport bus. Breakfast isn't included but available for a small additional fee, and included good options (more than just the usual bread and jam).
Great location in old city, adjacent to new city
My small room had everything i needed. Location is super. Cozy quiet comfortable.
Great location
The room was very basic but it had a reasonable rate in such ideal location. I had a small room with an average bed comfort wise. They are skimpy with the shower supply and you are given small packets of shower gel. The walls are thin and it was noisy at times but it has been like that in most hotels I stayed at in Spain. Overall, its a decent place in a very good location.
Highly recommended
Small but very clean. Lovely staff and great location in the historic centre. Only 15 minutes walk to the train station. Excellent value for the very low price.
Anime hotel at edge of Old Town Santiago
Close to the airport bus stop. Easy to find. Helpful staff. At check in offered me a map of the area. Hotel quiet. Adjacent streets can be loud. That is the case for all of the old town.
Would recommend.
Great location, great breakfast at 4 euros., nice comfortable rooms, no complaints
Review of Hostal Casa Anosa Santiago de Compostela
We arrived too early to check in but were able to leave our bags until check-in time. The room was very 'cosy' but we were able to fit in. The hostal was in an excellent location being right on the edge of the old city of Santiago de C so access to buses for the airport was only a few minutes walk away as well as being within walking distance of the Cathedral. The staff were very friendly and accommodating. Breakfast was very adequate. The room was clean; not always quiet because of the bar across the very narrow street from us but not a major problem. We had no complaints of any kind with the booking.
A lovely, friendly hotel, really well situated for exploring the city.
Great value
We booked this ahead of time before our last leg of the Camino so we didn't have to worry about finding a place when we arrived. Hotel was fine... just on the outskirts of the old town surrounding the Cathedral of Santiago. Room was clean. It was unusually warm for this time of year but room had a fan and a window that opens next to it so we could bring in some of the cool evening air. There were plenty of restaurants nearby and we were less than tenminutes to the Cathedral. I would definitely recommend this hotel.
Second stay here standard very consistent
Great hotel in Santiago
Great stay. Friendly staff that went out of their way to help us. The room was very clean. The location was great because it was close to lots of restaurants and the Cathedral.
Less than friendly at check in. Wouldn't even allow a friend who was staying elsewhere to leave a backpack in our room while we went to the Cathedral to celebrate our arrival. Next day came back to the room early afternoon to find our door, and every other on the floor, standing wide open while being cleaned with no one around-- a bit disconcerting. I hate to give anyone a negative review (after walking hundreds of miles you generally learn take it all in stride) but there are quieter, friendlier and much more welcoming places to stay in Santiago.
happy peregrino trio in Santiago
Older pension with updated bathrooms and accommodations for "triples". Quiet side street but excellent location for central Santiago.
Excellent location close to everything!
Staff was very pleasant and helpful. We loved the location and it's proximity to everything that was important to see. Would definitely stay here again on future visits.
Camino Retreat
Maria and her husband were kind and patient with my little Spanish. The room was immaculate as was the ensuite. It is on a quiet lane, but near the downtown and 5 minutes from the cathedral. What a delight!
Casa Anosa is AOK
Well located near Plaza de Galicia where you can get the bus to the airport or a taxi 24 hours a day (plenty available at 4:30AM). In the central old town area, so close to cathedral, etc. Clean, friendly and helpful staff, toast/coffee/OJ for breakfast. I ended up with a bigger room than I needed. Don't know if this was due to Hotels.com, what was actually available when I first booked, or just my fault. So I overpaid. Still, it was cheaper and/or better located than a lot of the other places hotels.com suggested. Hotel didn't charge me for breakfast on the days I woke up early enough.

Great location and price
Booked in here for a week's conference. If you are bussing from the airport and don't want hassle this is perfect. It is just off Praza da Galicia just inside the old town which is the bus end stop. A couple of minutes walk and you're at the hotel. The price was very reasonable so I didn't expect a lot. Clean, quiet enough and in a street with a bit of character. My room had a cute balcony. There was wifi in the rooms - that was a bonus as the website had said in communal areas. The room was a bit cramped, especially the bathroom, might be tricky for a couple in the double room. Also although it was hot they were a bit cold as the building had no direct sunlight. But I aimed to be out of the hotel as much as possible. Breakfast is simple but you can also eat in a couple of places directly in front of the hotel. It was a good location for walking into both the old and new city. The hotel owners were lovely but didn't speak much English.
Great choice.
Location great. Owners very good and hospitable.
Disappointing stay
I read reviews carefully before booking and almost always choose wisely. I could have done better in this case. The room was just okay.....though clean, it needs lots of refreshing. Location, however, was great. Breakfast was lean.
Affordable stay in Santiago
Anosa Casa is in the central area of Santiago de Compostela, only about 5 minutes brisk walk from the cathedral. It is clean, comfortable, well equipped and very reasonably priced. An ideal choice for a weary pilgrim!
very nice establishment
Great location, nice owner. Super for 3 star hotel.
Very Good Choice for Santiago de Compostela
Anosa Casa is a great budget pension. Owners were helpful and attentive, the facility was in good shape, while the service and breakfast was great. The only small issue is due to the hostal's wonderful location at the edge of the historic district. There is nightly noise at around 4am when the cafés and bars close down and the clients sing and shout their way home. So, keep your windows closed. Also, for those that can't manage stairs, there is no elevator. Otherwise, a fine choice with an excellent location.
Location !!! Charming!!! LOUD!!! and cold... hm
In person this place looked as good as the photos. Charming and in a great spot, on a tiny alley near to everything in the Casco Viejo. We read reviews that said it was very noisy at night and figured, 'ok, earplugs and all's well'. Welllll... no. Our best brand-new earplugs couldn't BEGIN to cut the loud noise of revelers in the area at night. From 2am till 6am it sounded like the battle sequence of 'Les Mis' every night, earplugs be damned. Also, the owners cut the heat off and froze us the first night... we complained and were told it didn't happen! but the next night it was on and warm all night. The last 2 days the owner/mgr kept telling us that the heat being off , and the noise, were all 'dreams in my head'!! Hmm.. I guess my wife and I share our dreams. It was lovely, charming and cheap. But best be a day sleeper! : )
Great Place
Excellent. Exactly what I needed in Santiago. helpful staff, great location, lovely room, great price. Hope to return.
Perfect Place
Location was awesome. Very close to public parking. Owners very helpful - lovely room; small, but we were in Europe! Highly recommend - would stay again.
Stay close to the historic centre of Santiago de C
The location is in the historic part of the town close to the cathedral and the historic centre which we found most attractive comming from a nation only 170 years old.The rooms were clean and adequate and for the price good value.A slight disadvantage was the noise from the adjacent streets during rubbish collection/cleaning early in the morning. Breakfast was simple but adequate.
Anosa Casa, Santiago de Compostela, Spain
Good, clean, convenient hotel. Only small disadvantage was that it could be noisy due to late night activity on the street outside.
Perfect location, 5 minutes walk to the bus to/from the airport and equidistance (if that) to the cathedral and other sites in the old town. Place was clean, and had all the essentials you needed. I arrived early in morning - could leave bag behind reception (open 8am-2pm). Had your own key to get into hotel so could come and go as you please - really easy.
Anosa casa
Great! The staff were very friendly and helpful. The room was clean and comfortable and all at a reasonable price, book it!
Anosa Casa, excellent location, really clean!
I choose this hotel for its proximity to the old town area of Santiago de Compostela, but even I was surprised how convenient it was. Right on the border between the old and new towns, it was 1 street away from the airport bus stop and a taxi rank, but was just in the quiet and historic area of the old town. About 5 mins walk to the Cathederal and all the sights, with plenty of places to eat on the doorstep, it is so easy to get back to after a night out! The twin room we had had 2 queen size beds, and the room was spotless. We were in the attic room but it was very spacious, though a few steps up. All in all we did not spend a lot of time in the room as there was so much to do in Santiago, but it was great for what we wanted, had a nice shower etc. We did not see much of the staff as you get your own front door key so can let yourself in and out, but they are available throughout the day for help if you need it. Great little hotel and VERY cheap, for the location that is amazing.
Hermoso lugar
No geral recomendo sim
Good choice when you travel without a car. I travelled by car, though. No chance to park close to the hotel, but there are some garages in 7...8 min walk and the cost will be something like 15 eur per night. but otherwise: location is great and even the hotel is in busy area, not much noise. many restaurants nearby. I think that they have limited check in time? as there was nobody later in the evening? Breakfast: boring and poor!
Hostal centrico, limpio, buena atención, buen desayuno.
Caso volte à Santiago, certamente me hospedarei no Anosa casa.
Anbefaling
Fin service. Lige i centrum. Stille og roligt. Meget rent . En god oplevelse.
In the city centre
Excellent hostel in the city centre
Sin nada que comentar. Todo me parecio muy bueno. Atencion , limpieza , linda habitacion.
Hostal Anosa Casa | Home in Santiago de Compostela | Travala.com
Great hotel, easy walking distance into the old town and cathedral. Lots of local amenities nearby. Host was very friendly and helpful.
