The hotel itself was clean and staff was very friendly. The rooms have a good size are equipped with everything necessary. Some appliances such as showerhead or such would need updating. Bed was very comfortable.location is very tricky for foreigners to the location. Overall good stay though.

Great hotel would be even greater in spring/summer. Everything goof especially the service. Breakfast ok but you need to get there early and only given one plate. Would be great if they had tea/ coffee facilities in the room.

Enjoyed our stay in this quiet hotel, as we were winding down our trip. Beautiful space and the rooms are spacious and comfortable. Found the location to be a bit further off the touristy area, which can be a plus, depending on what you're looking for.

Excellent hotel! Would highly recommend and will come back to. Location is in the middle of everything. We walked to all restaurants and attractions. Staff was friendly. Breakfast was amazing. Loved the shower and tub. The landscaping outside the room was festive and serene. Thank you for making our first visit to Rome memorable!

The hotel is well cared for and aesthetically warm and modern. The staff were very friendly, helpful and attentive. Location is great on the west side of the river in Trastevere. We would absolutely stay here next time in Rome.

This hotel is on the “edge” of Trastevere so it’s quiet from the nightlife but still very walkable to the neighborhood. The property is very nice but they are doing construction so a little loud in the mornings/day. When it’s finished it will be even more amazing! The staff were all amazing, friendly and super helpful!

Nice modern hotel in Trastevere, Rome. Good service. Room was comfortable. Really good breakfast in a nice glass covered patio area. Walking distance to many bars and restaurant.

Horti 14 was perfect all around. We really enjoyed the location, the quiet just outside of the city, the staff, the rooms, the breakfast and bar, and everything in between. Great stay!

Very friendly staff

A special little hotel off the beaten path but close to everything. Staff is super accommodating, rooms are clean and modern. Great shower pressure! Breakfasts are lavish. My only criticism is the low wattage blow dryer. Highly recommend.

The team at this hotel is welcoming and engaging. They all seem to be happy to be working there and even happier to make your stay an enjoyable one. We loved the fact the hotel had a lot of open space to relax in. It was incredibly green so it was easy to forget that you were in the middle of the city. With most rooms facing onto the garden you did hear the occasional group of guests arriving home after dinner. Most nights this is not an issue and it saya more about the guests than the hotel. Loved the water station which had both still and bubbles. Great to see environmental considerations such as this. The location is fantastic. Easy walk to amazing restaurants or the many historic sites in Rome. If we go back to room we would definitely stay at Horti14 again.

What a wonderful hidden gem! Beautifully decorated boutique hotel. Great accommodations. SUPERB air conditioning. Close to a few nearby streets full of life and food options. Front desk staff was incredibly helpful as well. Highly recommend this property!

We had an amazing stay at Horti 14 for the first leg of our honeymoon! Room was ice cold, the drinks at the bar were so delicious and affordable and the neighborhood was extremely quiet and safe. The staff at the front desk provided us with great restaurant recommendations which did not require a reservation. Would come back here again and again!

Wonderful hidden gem in Roma

We absolutely loved our stay at Horti. The staff is extremely friendly and helpful. Our room was ready early! The rooms were clean and the vibe of the hotel was amazing. Their bar makes a great margarita.

The hotel is within east walking distance of all sightseeing areas and 5 mins walk from the bustling bars and restaurants of Trastevere. Would definitely use again.

Great place to stay

The staff was outstanding! They were very helpful and accommodating, with wonderful suggestions for nearby dining options and things to do.

We were so pleasantly surprised by Horti 14! When we first arrived we were greeted by the hotel staff who were warm and welcoming. Even though we got there early in the day our room was ready and they quickly ushered us through the beautiful garden courtyard to our room. The temperatures were in the high 90s that day and our room was ice cold thanks to the amazing central air. Our room was huge, modern and spotless and the bed was firm but so incredibly comfortable! The hotel features a rooftop terrace and bar - there is really no view- but it is tastefully decorated and is enclosed with trees, shrubs and vines. Breakfast is served every morning on the terrace and it really is lovely. What we loved most about the hotel, besides the amazing service, was the area it was located in. The old part of Travestere. It is easily walkable through the cobblestone streets and alleyways to some of the hottest nightlife, restaurants and night markets in Rome. We LOVED our stay at Horti 14 and look forward to their upcoming renovations. Would definitely stay there again and would highly recommend! We typically choose larger chain hotels over small boutique hotels like Horti 14 and were nervous we would regret our decision, but it was simply amazing!

If you're looking for a seamless relaxing experience DO NOT STAY HERE!! My husband and I stayed at this property last week and it was shocking. Upon arrival, there was no water at the entire property including no access to sink or toilets. Not a single accessible toliet. The hotel did not inform us of this. My husband proceeded to take a shower and use the toilet and realized it wasn't working. When we reached out to the front desk they casually brushed off on yeah there's no water which blows my mind. Seems they are doing construction and I believe the water was off from 11:30am to 4:30pm. For a 4 star hotel to not provide advance notice or offer accomodations of some kind was shocking. Imagine arriving off of a long flight and not being able to use the toliet or wash your hands let alone take a shower. Thank God we didn't have children or elderly with us. This was extremely stressful and distressing at the time. I will be informing everyone I know to avoid this hotel. Otherwise, the hotel had average amentities and did not reflect 4 star quality. AVOID AT ALL COSTS!!!

Very comfortable and cute place in a quiet section of Trastavere close to the main square (10 minute walk). Room was spacious. One issue: the concrete floor has a step down which can catch you off guard if you're not careful; I almost fell more than once. Especially dangerous at night. Great breakfast, nice service, recommended

Very clean, adorable lush landscaping, and super nice staff. They made us feel very welcome and at home. We loved the free breakfast and super cute cafe. Everyone was so nice! We would stay here again. Also it is very quiet at night which we loved.

Fabulous Hotel

We have had a fabulous week long stay at Horti 14. The rooms are very large with excellent finishes and fittings. The room was thoroughly cleaned every day including new towels and bedding. The location is excellent at the end of a cobbled street with little or no traffic noise yet walking distance to the Vatican and Colosseum. There are many traditional restaurants just minutes away.

This unique hotel was perfect for our short stay. It had a gorgeous green terrace area to chill out on and I love the bed faced the doors to look out. The bath was a fantastic surprise and lovely and big. Shower room also wonderful and spacious. Staff were terrific and so friendly. Breakfast also wonderful. We have been recommending all our friends to go here and especially excited to return when the new 6 rooms are built. Lastly it was wonderful to go to a modern sustainable hotel and it’s great to have these eco friendly options.

Great and Beautiful Property. Tucked away but conveniently located in walking distance to all the bars and dining in Trastevere. Enjoyed the rooftop to do some work and their small bar. Very friendly and helpful staff.

We got here early on a Saturday. The staff was able to get us in quickly even though it wasn’t the official check in time yet. The rooms are beautiful, clean, modern and spacious. Even with a rollaway bed it was plenty spacious. There is a nice breakfast selection upstairs- Italians dont really Do breakfast so if you’d like to get a good start of the day- this is the place to get it. Location wise it’s also perfect- about a very easy 20-25 min walk to Vatican City, piazza novena and other sites. It’s in a hip neighborhood( trastevere) but just far enough down a residential street that it’s very quiet. There is actually a community garden of sorts right behind the property and you hear lots of birds in the morning. Quite a treat in the middle of a big city!

We stayed on the garden side and it was beautiful! The lively area is a five minute walk and full of restaurants and music.

This is one of the best hotels I have ever stayed in. They were brilliant when I arrived and found out that they had not received the booking from Expedia - thanks Expedia. Despite being full they made every effort to accomodate me with some compromises. Brilliant people, brilliant hotel. Great location. Highly recommended.

Amazing Hotel

Really excellent Hotel on a quiet street in Trastevere. The service was excellent and highly personalized. Amazing breakfast included every morning on the quiet rooftop terrace. Ten minute walk to the heart of Trastevere, 20 mins to almost everywhere else in downtown Rome. The best part was being greeted everyday by the lobby cat Luna!

Whats not to like?

We spent a winter break week in Rome staying at this hotel. It was exactly what we were lokking for and wd loved every aspect of it. Quiet location but handy for walking or public transport to the sites. Many good restaurants within walking distance in Trastevere,which is a beautiful locality. Comfortable and well designed room. Secluded and leafy surroundings just under Giancolo Hill.Very friendly and helpful staff.excellent breakfast and cocktails. Really,whats not to like? Stay there.We will come again we get the chance.

Wonderful hotel in a great area!!

This treasure of a hotel and staff was more than what we expected! The location in the Trastevere meant that we could walk all over the city easily and while our hotel & room where quiet and peaceful, it was only minutes to a lively atmosphere with many places to dine, enjoy a glass of wine, or shop. The area was full of students and families and couples with a comfortable security presence. Staying in this hotel was like staying in a garden! Breakfast was varied and delicious! Afternoon and evening snacks and drinks were perfect. The staff greeted us warmly all times of the day & night. We got to know them by name and they made all the difference in our stay. We found this hotel by watching a Rick Steve’s episode on Rome. So glad we did!

Staff was amazing.

This hotel is a gem in the bustling city of Rome. It is a beautiful and modern property, nestled in the noisy neighborhood of Trastevere - close to the action, but far from the noise. The staff was especially helpful when we had a little emergency; several staff members jumped into action and their efforts resulted in a happy ending for us. I highly recommend this hotel and look forward to staying again.

Trastevere is a fascinating old area of Rome and it was great to find a modern, comfortable and stylish hotel in its midst. Great breakfast, comfortable beds and a terrific shower. The staff were charming and helpful and gave us excellent recommendations for restaurants. We also appreciated the transfer to and from the airport. Highly recommend staying here.

This is an amazing property with it's location to Trastevere and the city center while still being on a tranquil side street. Great to have a nice, quiet stay so close to the center of the Eternal City.

We were totally enchanted with everything. Great staff and service. Everything was ready when we got there- even though we were just dropping off bags they had the room ready. Beautiful place. Quiet. They offered information on a site we thought to see and booked it. And provided dining options in the area. And the most amazing breakfast you could ever get! They offered transportation from our cruise ship and then to the airport. It was so nice to have so much taken care of. The facilities were also nice. Kind of a warehouse feeling but super cool shower and comfortable. We’d come back in a heartbeat!!

Great stay in a secret spot!

What a little surprise! Cool and hip spot, with a great bar and in the best part of town! Loved the breakfast. Service was great! Rooms were clean (bed was a bit hard, but that was EVERY bed in Italy...). Would stay here again!

We had an amazing stay at this property, the greenery around the rooms is a breath of fresh air when coming back from a walk around Trastevere and the rest of the city. The staff is excellent and provide helpful recommendations of what to see in the area like true locals. Totally recommend for anyone planning a stay in Rome.

The property is tucked in a quiet corner in Trastevere, so while you are very close to a variety of great restaurants and shops, you are in a peaceful oasis when you wish to rest. Clean, modern rooms and very comfortable beds. Breakfast in the morning is also a great spread. We would definitely stay here again and recommend this to everyone visiting beautiful Roma!

We stayed at Horti 14 for a celebration trip for my 30th birthday. From start to finish the staff are incredible, the lady that showed us to our room upon arrival we did not get her name (mid length dark hair, glasses) gave us all the information we needed, including where to go for dinner and drinks that evening, she also spoke brilliant English. The hotel offers free bottled water on your first day which is great as sometimes you do not have time to find a local supermarket when you arrive! Our room was cleaned, fresh towels and bed made everyday. Some toiletries are provided such as shower gel and body cream. Of an evening it is lovely to sit on the terrace and enjoy the views with a drink, the bar staff are very friendly and will go above and beyond to make sure you are happy. We are a young couple and we felt very safe around the hotel area including walking into Trastevere every evening as it is so close to the hotel (around a 10 min walk) and has everything you want for an evening plenty of bars and restaurants. The hotel booked us a cab back to the airport for us and the driver was ready and waiting for us before the time we requested. The hotel has facilities for you to change before leaving the hotel for the airport the staff even allowed us to go up to the terrace for a drink after checking out whilst we waited for our cab. Overall I could not recommend this hotel enough it is a hidden gem! I forgot to mention we walked into the Rome city centre everyday from hotel

Lovely property in nearly every way. Would like the bar to be open longer and with more snack options, especially since the hotel is a good 500m away from the nearest bar or cafe, and further from any mini markets - you're effectively in a bubble far away from any options, so the hotel should have some small plates and longer hours for the bar.

This hotel is a little gem in Trestevere. It is off the main thoroughfare so is quiet but it is only a short walk to restaurants and shops. The staff are lovely! So helpful and seemed genuinely happy to have us as guests. So nice. The breakfast on the rooftop was amazing! We enjoyed cocktails on the rooftop in the evenings as well. A truly delightful experience.

This place is a hidden gem! Centrally located yet feels like an oasis away from the city. The gardens blanket the property in the smell of flowers, and the terrace on the roof is an amazing escape. The rooms are spacious and beautifully appointed. Hope to stay again!

What a lovely place this is , very cool I thought lovely rooms wifi was great. The staff all amazing especially Veronica super helpful for anything. Breakfast was a good selection & the bar was great for a drink opens at 4:30pm.

Small Luxury With Big Love

Ciao! From the moment my fiancé and I arrived (very early) we were greeted with Italian love! As a gay couple you never know what service you’ll receive. Horti staff is so welcoming and kind!! Our room was vacant, so they expedited a cleaning and let us enter at around 9am on check in day! The bed was comfy, linens nice, the shower was incredible, and plenty of storage for our 7 day stay. The property itself is quietly tucked away just a a quick stroll from the vibrancy of Trastevere center. You’ll love the peacefulness! The free breakfast was great, the rooftop is nice to enjoy, and the grounds are simply beautiful. Live your La dolce vita at Horti 14!!! Will absolutely stay again.

This hotel is the definition of an "Hidden Gem". In Trastevere, which is an awesome experience of what ancient Rome was like. Endless options for great food on every cobble stone street. All the famous sites in Rome, including the Vatican are well within walking distance. We stayed here for 3 nights, and had the time of our lives. Great hotel, and even better staff. From the chambermaids, to the front desk. Donatella (at the front desk) was awesome, the best service we have experienced in a very long time. She couldn't do enough for us. The breakfast has many choices, and all are excellent. Rooms are large, modern and comfortable. My wife and I would rate this hotel 5 stars, and highly recommend a stay here when in Rome.

Just a couple blocks away from downtown area of Trastevere, staff was very helpful and pleasant. Walls are thin but that seems to just be most places in Rome. It felt safe. Free nice breakfast upstairs.
