Staff very helpful. Breakfast excellent. Laundry sent out and returned clean and when expected at a good price. Good location to easily walk. Side walks nonexistent but that was just the busy city. Great medium level hotel.

The property had already put into place my upgrade and drink perks So when we got there they were already in place I didn’t have to ask. They were also knowledgeable on providing tourist information and giving directions It was close to hop on hop off stop and other attractions

The check-in service and staff were excellent and very helpful. We received a room upgrade, but unfortunately, the patio door did not close properly, resulting in disruptive noise from Hanoi throughout the night. We were able to move to a quieter room in the back building the following night. While the cleanliness could be improved, as both rooms had dust and marks, the breakfast was good, offering options like French toast and different egg dishes. The hotel's location was convenient, approximately a 15-minute walk to the Old Quarter. The staff were incredibly helpful and attentive to all guests, even assisting with luggage.

Decent hotel. It’s reasonably clean but can be better. The standard of breakfast was fine but the range was quite limited. The staff were helpful and courteous.

Bigger room

We had a pleasant stay here. The staffs were friendly and helpful. It's in walking distance to West Lake on one side and Dong Xuan market on the other side. The hotel is dated, but the rooms are spacious compared to other hotels in the Old Quarter. Two negatives would be the very limited breakfast selections and the hot water was scolding hot. There's a potential for children to get burn by the hot water if you are not careful.

Next level service with a smile, always helpful and with excellent english. Be charmed by the lovely girls at the reception area, and really by all the staff.

Jad a great room on 8th floor with views over city. Loads of space in the room and spotlessly clean. Staff were lovely. Highly recommend

Near the lake and old quarter shopping central location

I’ve stayed at the Hong Ngoc Cochina hotel in Hanoi several times. The staff are extremely kind and helpful and the hotel is in one of the best locations in Hanoi near Truc Bach lake. Highly recommended!

We arrived late night. Airport pick up was arranged by hotel for discounted price. Driver was in time. Very good car. checkin was quick. Very friendly and helpful front desk staff. Morning breakfast was great and just in time for our start of day tour!

Very enjoyable stay

Beds are hard, but everything else was great.

Arrived a day early before the start of our tour. The hotel provided a taxi from the airport, which was great, the price was reasonable and saved us the hassle of trying to find our own way there, or deal with local taxi services. On arrival we were greeted by the wonderful staff and our room was ready straight away. The hotel is fairly central, North of the old quarter, about 20 mins walk there, and 15 mins to Ho Chi Minh mausoleum. There are good restaurants near by also.

Good value in Hanoi

We had a good stay. The location worked well to walk around the Old Quarter, lake, and French Quarter. There are restaurants and small markets all throughout the area. The hotel itself is a good value with average size rooms, basic breakfast included, comfortable lobby with bar, and friendly service.

The hotel receptionist Rosie was the best employee in the hotel. She knew how to answer tourist queries without giving vague answers. She was proactive in ensuring our stay in Hanoi was a comfortable and good experience.

Pleasant stay in Central Hanoi

A pleasant stay in a clean, hygienic hotel located in central Hanoi. Restaurants, bars, clothes shop are situated close by. Ok breakfast, had better in others Vietnamese hotels, but it was decent enough with a lot of variety. You will be very satisfied with your stay here. Exceptional service from the hotel staff. Side note: One thing I would say is that you should avoid this part of Vietnam during November and December as this is their raining season and it rained non-stop 🌧😩

This hotel was right by the West Lake. The staff were friendly & helpful. There was a good breakfast included & they held our luggage after we checked out at no extra charge as our flight was not until 00.50. They also organised a taxi to take us to the airport.

Hong Ngoc provided very helpful and good service on my late check-in.

Good hotel, close to great cafes and restaurants

I stayed here for four nights and quite enjoyed it. It’s out of the old quarter, so it’s quieter, but still on a busy street. However, the hotel is very close to some nice cafes and food stalls. Sightseeing in Hanoi isn’t that walkable (traffic and run down footpaths), but the staff were more than happy to order me a taxi and help with any of my queries. Good spread for breakfast. Only downside was the room was a little grubby (hair in drain) and dusty floors.

Great stay in Hanoi

Hanoi is a bustling and busy city, you just can’t avoid that. But Hong Ngoc made us feel comfortable and was a quiet haven away from the noise and commotion. The staff was excellent and caring and provided lots of advice. The included breakfast was nothing special. The hotel is a little worn about the edges, but that didn’t impede our enjoyment. The restaurant has western dishes available in case you or your kids need a taste of home.
