Excellent location, near the beach, and very quiet. Great service!

Excellent staff, clean and safe place to stay.

Good: beach, hotel staff, provided crib and bath tub for our baby, reheated our takeaway food, good breakfast even though it's the same for the 2 nights we stayed, kids playroom, interactive decorations (the cars in the lobby, reading nook) Bad: room AC heater was broken but staff gave us a portable radiator to use; for ala carte dinner you had to stay outdoors as indoors were reserved for buffet but it's cold outside :(, swimming pool closed

excellent place to stay with awesome view to the sea, we loved the serene view and quietness around the hotel!

Great short stay here. Ongoing works meant we could hear drilling, however when we mentioned to staff they were happy to change our rooms so no complaints there. The room is spacious and mostly clean, some mould in the bathroom let it down. Staff were friendly and helpful. The shuttle bus to the city centre was handy at $30pp each way. We visited Disneyland and Tian Tan Buddha whilst staying here and transport to and from there was easy with the bus located outside the hotel to the metro. We ate at the restaurant one day and staff were very lovely and meal was expensive but tasty. The local small shopping centre also had restaurants and a grocery store to visit. We had a great base here for our Hong Kong trip.

Good clean property away from the crowd and din of the city and yet only 20-30 mins away from the business district.

The public transportation system meaning the train walking distance to some of the finest restaurants and the above and beyond respect and friendliness of the staff. Perfect place to stay When in Southeast Asia. I loved it. Be sure to let them know.

Stayed 2 night in this hotel. It was a comfortable stay but the location of this place is not that convenient to city centre.

Most of the angle of scenery from the room’s balcony at 2/F is blocked by trees.

This is a five-star accommodation. The view of the harbor is wonderful to wake up to. The room is very spacious and the bathroom is large. In addition to dining at the hotel, there are many options in the Piazza a short walk from the hotel. The beach is just a short walk away. There are many buses to take you to the city and taxis are abundant.

Amazing hotel, the property looks amazing and has one the best hotel lobbies I’ve ever seen. My room also had a great view.

Hotel is so kind to offer complimentary cut cake n upgrading of balcony for special celebratory occasion! A very pleasant stay!

Excellent stay for family

Staff were very friendly and service was great! Great amenities for children. Clean property both in the interior and exterior.

If you like to stroll on the beach or swim in the ocean this place is right there. You can also find public barbecues nearby. Most rooms come with an ocean view balcony facing West for nice sunsets. The hotel restaurants are pretty expensive 800 hk$ for a buffet. But a 5 minute walk takes you to a nearby shopping center with plenty of reasonable options including a small supermarket,

The garden around the hotel is beautiful. It just takes a few minutes to walk to the Gold Coast Plaza with nice sea view. The staff is very courteous. This stay at Gold Coast is very refreshing and recharging. Thanks.

Gorgeous hotel at a fair price

Not bad for a family retreat. Facilities catered both adults and child. Buffet and chinese restaurant had great food and friendly staffs. Oh and front desk staff did offer an upgrade for us due to the occasion (my wife’s birthday), though we had to pass the offer. Overall a pleasant stay, would recommend

although the property has some age but it's well maintained. a lot of restaurants nearby and love to have a walk along the beach after dinner. very convenient for those driving but not public transportation.

Great place for family stay , lots of things to do swing, games, zipline, gardening etc. Food options are good , view is great when no air pollution, nice artificial beach nearby. Parking was 300 hkd per day or short term near by meter parking. Second short term stay would comeback again .

It’s a hidden gem, a bit far from the main action in HongKong island, but it’s only HK$320 away by Uber.

Staff were super nice and helpful, we got free upgrade to premier seaview room with a huge balcony, we ended up extending two more nights because of flight cancellation, and they were able to let us stay at the same room. Highly recommend if you are looking for a peaceful and quiet stay

Very nice hotel, right next to the beach and very close to shops. Great transport links into Central and Kowloon. Really good amenities.

HIGHLY RECOMMENDED. My wife and I had our tea ceremony there and celebrated our wedding with our family here. They were extremely empathetic, helpful, and organized. Our experience here couldn't be any more better. We were very impressed with how attentive they are. We definitely recommend this hotel to everyone!

Pool closed

It would have been nice if hotels.com showed that their pool was closed for rhe month of November, as i booked this mostly for the pool. It was closed and that really was the only reason i choose this hotel.

Resort style living in one of the best get away area in Hong Kong. Highly recommended! Will stay again next time going to Hong Kong!

The environment is not too crowded with privacy and family enjoyment. Staff are nice and eager to help. Lobby is spacious and decent. Water slides are unique for little kids and family enjoyment.

House service is disappointed but a relax hotel

Check in process was smooth. Tried to request late check out for our honeymoon trip but not succeed, well understand that as the Front desk upgrade us to better room. House service was disappointed. Called three times to ask for wine glasses but they never come. We got very frustrated about this so at the end go all the way to FO to ask for it. This hotel was a bit old but generally is quite relaxing and comfortable, I specially like their eco-friendly concept.

It seems late to check in at 3pm and check out time at 12:00. And very disappointed that it’s crowd at the swimming pool even though with booking time slot.

It is right on the beach which is long and with a pedestrian walkway. It is not far from the country park and can easily access hiking trails. Nature galore!

Relaxing staycation

It was a pleasant stay, we like the Chinese restaurant most.

First Time stay in this hotel

Everything is good, just the soap dispenser in the toilet which is not user-friendly.

Nice for the family! The surrounding is very eco-friendly. If you wanted to have a better sea view, ask for the rooms at the higher floor and avoid x15-x22 (for example 822 at 8th floor). Really narrow view....

Disappointed..........

The room was supposed be sea view, however, it was more full view of parking lot and only little sea view. We had one of the corner rooms on the 6th floor. Very disappointed at the quality for the money we paid. The hotel is old and kind of run down. The balcony was very dirty and had wet paper towels thrown all around, which we had to clean up ourselves. The housekeeping was not doing their job well. Kids running around screaming at the top of their lungs at 7am didn't help either..........

Good for staycation

As a gold member, I was expecting some privileges but I did not see any upgrades or anything. However, the room itself is good and everything is decent.

Relaxing Stay

By far the most relaxing stay in this hotel. It has lived to my expectation this time. We had a nice room upgrade to Seaview with Balcony and a large King Bed in which I don't want to leave due to it's comfortability. We also received welcome drinks and a cake. It's very thoughtful. I will certainly be back in the near future with my whole family next time. Keep it up!

Good family choice

Real resort feel. Thoughtful and friendly staff who made my stay extra special Dinner buffet was excellent Swimming pool was spacious and the life guards were really paying attention which is great if u have kids. Staff who work at this hotel should be applauded! Bravo and thank u so much!

Lovely kids staycation

Overall it was a pleasant stay except for some house keeping staffs’ manner where once they kept ringing the door bell til we opened the door for an extra towel. It was just a matter of 6,7 seconds and they couldn’t just ring once and wait. Second time was when I heard the door bell, I got up from the bed to go get the door, but the staff opened the door. Again, they couldn’t wait to see if there would be someone answering the door. I was thinking what if one of us was naked. These common manners have to be reinforced through proper training. Restaurant staffs were very friendly and the foods which made our stay worthwhile. We tried the Chiense restaurant, Satay Inn and the bar abs they were all good.

Great for families; less so for couples

Great place in the summer for families with young kids; because of that, less great for couples looking for a bit of romance and peace. The hotel let us check out early without a fine, so that was appreciated. Will go back during term time.

Enjoyable and relaxing holiday at Gold Coast

A very enjoyable stay at the Gold Coast hotel. The staff were friendly and willing to assist. The buffet breakfast provides a vast variety and is reasonably priced. Parking a car at the hotel is expensive but guests can park at the public car park, the downside being the meter needs to be refilled every two hours. Highly recommended holiday for those who want a staycation

Wonderful ocean front holiday

Very good service especially given the volume of guests. Register for swimming sessions as soon as we had a room number for the next two days. Register also for breakfast sessions. Everything pretty well organized . Nice beds, good buffet, and friendly service.

Perfect vacation and work combo

This hotel is great in many ways. Nice big rooms, quiet with a beautiful view. The breakfast is expensive but very good and worth the money if you have the time to enjoy it. Taxi to the convention center take around 30 - 40 minutes or so. A huge shopping mall is close by, 10 minutes by taxi. The Golden beach is nice and clean and only a few steps from the hotel entrance. My trip was a work trip with a touch of vacation.
