This property is very close to a busy highway. We paid for five nights and ended up checking out after the first day. The first room they gave us was non-smoking, but reeked of cigarettes. Staff was helpful in moving us. The second room was better, but one of the glass cups broke in my hand while I was drinking from it. The bed was so uncomfortable, but it had been too late at night to find somewhere else to stay so we checked out in the morning.

Good hotel

The hotel room was good and clean. The tv didn’t work though and was unplugged. The curtains were not easily accessible as it automated and was behind the bed. The switch on the wall didn’t work at all. The breakfast in the morning was decent. However both the mornings we were there, stuff ran out very soon and it was a slow refill. We always did get what we waited for so we weren’t left hungry but it seemed like an all out competition for who gets stuff first 😀. For a room with kitchenette, there was surprisingly very low storage cabinets considering the room was for upto 6 people. However, these are things I wanted to mention but the stay otherwise was very pleasant. Staff was nice, the courtyard had pool and open seating with fire places that we used. Rooms were clean and everything working except what I mentioned above. There is a Denny’s next to the parking lot so we just walked to it.

The room was immaculately maintained, and the staff demonstrated exceptional service, going above and beyond to cater to my needs. They even followed up with me via text to inquire if there was anything else they could assist me with. I would choose to stay with them again.

The room layout is very comfortable. Like a 1 bedroom apartment. Very clean. The kitchen is very useful. Especially the full size refrigerator. There are 2 things I was unhappy with…there are no hooks in the bathroom for hanging towels. Only 1 small bar on the shower door. There wasn’t even anyplace to hang the hand towel. Had I been there with my family this would have been very insufficient for multiple people using towels. There also wasn’t any flat sheet on the bed which I found uncomfortable

$10 a day for parking but parking lot is very tight and limited. The table in the room dirty when we first walked in and found a used flosser on the floor under the couch when I pulled the couch out to make the bed. The room was tight and we had three guests but only two chairs. I thought we were going to have a room which had a mini kitchen / living room with the large bed separate in a different room. There are different kinds of rooms when you book here but the booking doesn’t show that, we saw the cleaners clean other rooms which looked better than ours. The breakfast staff was kind of always in the way, restocking things while reaching over you, they weren’t trying to be out of your way at all, took their cart out without minding where the guests were at all, no one was cleaning tables in the breakfast area, you had to clean your own table and were playing loud music from their staff room, dancing and laughing, a bit too causal and relaxed their behaviour, they need a reminder of their tasks and being less personal with eachother and the guests. One staff kept talking to a guest while the guest was grabbing her breakfast and the guest seemed annoyed. No espresso and the coffee is really weak. The breakfast options are just ok. Almost sausage every morning. The cleaning staff is inconsistent, one day cleaned our dishes and made all the beds, another day didn’t make the pullout bed, and left the dishes dirty. Location is good. Bbq pits and hot tub is nice. Overpriced.

Overall wonderful - front parking lot had very narrow spaces. Was unaware of $10/day parking fee. Water pressure was super weak in our shower. Otherwise, a perfect experience for my family of five.

Great hotel and the breakfast was delicious

Great hotel and location. Had to wait 20 minutes to check in as there was a big group checking in ahead of us and no other staff person helped. Other than that great stay.

Staff took frequent breaks, while looking for parking in the back lot, two tweekers were looking in people’s car. Security was all over it once I let the staff know.

Best doggy hotel.

Front desk Makayla was very helpful in assisting our needs and got an extra room. Amenities were great. Bonus was the accommodation of having 1st floor rooms for the convenience of our big dogs.

Good, not great

Automatic lights in the bathroom is a terrible idea. A frosted bathroom door is a terrible idea. A suite typically implies that you can shut the door to the bedroom, no door for the bedroom. Was not a great stay with a toddler. Carpet was ripped. Utensils were discussing. I had to pay for parking which was a joke. This Hilton hotel is literally attached to a Holiday inn hotel. Cops outside every night. Breakfast was nice but they literally throw everything away and clean up right at 9:00 no matter who's waiting to make food. The pool and recreation area was cute and looked nice. The barbecues were a pleasant surprise. Staff was very nice and friendly and helpful. I am not a Hilton member so I'm pretty sure I got one of the worst rooms.

Lots of car parking at nights

My only concern was the shower. Looked like there had been previous water damage and water flowed low out of the shower head.

The property is updated, nice room and great breakfast. The pool and spa are great as well. Great food options around the area.

A quick trip

It was a quick trip and the size and amenities of the room were perfect. The carpet in the living area was filthy. The bathroom, kitchen and furniture were all clean.

Cleanliness through out property and how friendly staff was towards family

Great, central location and close to everything. Pool areas were very clean and breakfast was fantastic. Hotel staff were friendly, accommodating and helpful. Room carpets could use better cleaning and housekeeping was sporadic - they only came once during a one week stay.

Our kids said the best part of our trip to San Diego was the hotel! It was very clean, had plenty of places for the family to sleep comfortably and the breakfast buffet was wonderful.

Great rooms with all the stuff you need. Strong water pressure and great bedding and tv.

Overall, it was good hotel was clean. Pool was nice. Staff was nice. They overbooked their rooms and accidentally canceled my room which we ended up having a stranger walk in on my 12 year-old son. The staff did a good job correcting the issue and making things right.

Not What I was Expecting

Hotel was definitely rougher than what was portrayed in the photos. Our room did not have working outlets, lights, phone. Sofa bed mattress cover had stains and was very uncomfortable for our daughter. King bed was comfortable enough but bed pillows were extremely flat. Free hot breakfast was nothing fancy but a nice option. Location was good for what we needed and front desk staff were friendly. Overall stay was fine, just not the level of quality I was expecting.

Good family hotel

The parking spaces are extremely compact making unpacking your car extremely difficult and you have to pay for parking in a lot that isnt very exclusive. The room and amenties were great, just the conditioner was out and 1 light bulb missing on the bed. The breakfast was pretty good. Lots of options and was a full breakfast. The pool is very small. Good for younger kids. Overall it was a good experience and would definitely stay there again

Great location. We never had issues with finding parking. Loved the breakfast options and kitchen staff. Units were kind of small. The kitchen did not have as much supplies as I was expecting. Not a lot of space for luggage for our family of four. Essentials were not replenished and we had to ask multiple times for the missing items (soap, dish soap, garbage bags) we did not get our room cleaned the whole 4 days of our stay. A couple of the front desk personnel did not seem very friendly and not look happy to be there.

Decent stay for a family of 5 with two dogs for one night stay.

Sharing a parking lot with another hotel and a Denny’s is not idea. Hard to find a parking space.

It was umm okay

I booked a room that I thought had a King suite and then two queen beds in the other part. Wasn't informed until we got there that those rooms weren't available. It didn't flag the system or anything when booking so for a family of 6 it was very uncomfortable. The answer they gave me at check in was that the room does sleep 6, yes but that was a very uncomfortable pull out bed. We wanted to relax not wake up in pain. Then the front desk called me the next day saying that the previous guest thought they left their airpods?! so that made me feel gross because if you thought we would find them that tells me the room wasn't cleaned properly. I love the outside amenities they were great and I am sure if what we wanted was available it would have been a great stay but it was just okay.

I like the spacious room and enjoyed having a well equipped gym.

When I arrived the front desk staff was so welcoming. Anthony was the best at checking me in and making sure my stay was the best it could be. There was a issue with internet/cable for about 24 hrs. (no fault of hotel) and the manager was so helpful and address the issue immediately to accommodate for the inconivenice

The staff doubly charged the cost on my credit card, costing me a lot of time to fix the issues.

Great local place!

A very clean and updated property. The suite was perfect for my needs and the supplies provided in the kitchen were just right. The staff was extremely polite and helpful. The free breakfast looked generous and plentiful, although I did not partake. The fitness center was excellent as well with clean, updated and complete equipment and weights.

Electronic Key was not readily available, bathroom supplies were low or out, room smelled musty. Desk staff seemed to be having equipment difficulties.

Loved the breakfast options and the hot tub and pool area were great!

The layout of the suite was great. Room was mostly separated from kitchen and living room, so there was plenty of space and privacy for my small family of 4. Bathroom was nice, but water would sometimes drip from the showerhead and make loud “ping” sounds against the metal drain. We had to put a towel down to dampen the sound. Carpet seems a bit old/used and there was trash behind the couch. Otherwise, suite was very clean. Good variety of items for breakfast, but food ran out quick and it sometimes took a while to refill. The lobby had a complimentary holiday gift wrapping station set up for Christmas. Nice touch!

Nice hotel with good location. A lot eatery near by. Facilities are ok. Didn’t like breakfast, sausages & links were too dry and chewy, no scrambled eggs, the eggs patty were not too appetizing. WiFi was out for almost for a whole day. Failed to notify us that telephone dial for front desk or any services not functioning.

Our room 210 had the noisiest air condition system making it very difficult to sleep.

There was no sponge for the kitchen.

Great Family Stay

We enjoyed our stay with a family of six. There were enough activities outside the room to let our kids burn some energy before bed and the breakfast was a big plus. We even showed up late to the Wednesday reception and the workers went out of there way to go back and grab some cookies for our kiddos even though things had been cleaned up. Great Service. The parking wasn't ideal but wasn't horrible either.

Suite was clean modern and family friendly.

I was called by Mina several hours before checking in. She needed the room I booked, so I agreed to change rooms. She offered me 100.00 off per night. The hotel guests clerk said it would be 3-5 days before it was reflected on my card. This is concerning because I have no receipt to support that. Maybe it will be available at check out tomorrow?

My friend and I booked a night at Homewood Suites last minute for a quick trip in San Diego because it was the same price as another hotel I stayed at before but was closer to where we were planning to go. I don’t regret the decision one but and was beyond impressed with our stay! The staff was all so very nice and our room was clean with a little personal touch. Was so happy to see my name on the television screen along with a separate living area and kitchenette. The property itself was clean and well kept. We loved that breakfast was included but there is also a shopping center nearby for other food options if you chose elsewhere to dine. I would stay here again in the future.

Horrible customer service and extremely rude staff.. both my kids got severe bumps and rashes on their legs the first night we stayed here and we requested the staff to get the room inspected. Despite seeing my kids struggle, they did not change my room. Upon requesting, an inspector was sent to check for bed bugs who ripped the whole room apart.. for the next two hours we waited for the hotel housekeeping staff to come and make our beds but no one came.The hotel General Manager is extremely rude and literally threatened me when I said I’ll file a complaint. Guess Hilton lost a loyal customer forever! I wish they improve their protocols and ensure their employees learn basic skills on how to talk to their customers.

Great stay for tournament

My family enjoyed the stay, from the pool and spa to the mini golf. The Mickey Mouse waffles were a hit with the kids and it was convenient having a full size refrigerator. Also, the smart tv’s made it easy to log into our streaming services. A great place to stay if you’re in town for a tournament.

The smoke alarm went off on the night of August 11 for one hour; left the alarm on for an hour (intentionally) when the fireman on duty could have turned it off; not the property's fault, but it was caused by poor plumbing so they can't be held responsible. Deeply resentful of being charged $10 to park my car, and I think this hotel should go out of business.

The property was great, very clean and tidy, staff were very friendly and always happy to help. It was very easy to get onto the freeways and explore from the location. There was a massive movie complex, supermarket and shopping 5mins away. Have a great time.

Great Getaway for Family

We enjoyed our stay at Homewood suites by Hilton San Diego Central. It's relatively new property. Kitchen was including basic necessity items.

Stay overall is good, parking is tight as it shares a parking lot with the Holiday Inn. There is a Denny's in the parking lot which is convinent Only complaint I would have, is that there is only one luggage cart for the whole hotel.

My family and I have been staying at this hotel since April due to a plumbing issue at our home, everyone has been so friendly, helpful and accommodating, they know us by name and engage with my little one, even though it is not home, it comes in 2nd, I would recommend this hotel to everyone, thank you all for being so welcoming

No, no, no.....

We normally stay at Homewood Suites, and they're great! This one is an exception. It's really grungy, seems sketchy, the furniture in the rooms are old, the rooms are somewhat run down...And the rooms open to the outside, like a motel. I didn't feel safe at this hotel, and the first thing I did when I saw it and my room was look for somewhere different to stay for the night.

Very nice facility. The pool was awesome quiet and good location.

The property was modern and very clean. The breakfast area was clean and presentable. The staff, Tata, Julia and Isabel, were friendly and helpful. The only negative was that our room was located right next to the freeway, so our whole stay was pretty noisy.

Nice Hotel

I loved this place it’s was perfect for my family of 6. The only thing I noticed was that the bathroom was not as clean as it could of been. Also the beds are not too comfortable. Overall I enjoyed my stay. I also did love the fact that my room smelled good.

Was a very nice hotel. Staff were very friendly and hospitable. Will stay there again.

My stay was nice & calming. I love the kitchen and the bathroom shower was nice. My only issue was there were brown specks on the floor behind the toilet & the white sheet although was washed & cleaned, it had light brown stains on it.

The hotel was not too far from where I was having my corrective eye surgery, the room itself was nice, we were across from the pool, it's right off a ramp to the highway so it's a little noisy outside. Didn't get a chance to eat the breakfast but it smelled really good.

Not the Homewood Im used to

Jacuzzi closed and was never disclosed during booking, multiple confirmation calls, and emails. Front desk staff/pool guy unawares and get different answers. Pull out sofa bed is so worn and cause back pain. AC compressor takes an hour to kick in. Broken lamp and missing toiletries during check-in. As a Hilton Honors member and past guest of multiple Homewood Suites Im very disappointed.
