DO NOT STAY HERE!! EXPEDIA NEEDS TO REMOVE THIS HOTEL FROM THEIR WEBSITE. Rented two rooms on 11-29-24 through 12-1-24. The first problem was that they said we only had one room. Had to get information from Expedia reservation to confirm. One of the rooms did not have heat. The other room didn't have any towels. My husband asked another person staying there for a towel. There were items still in the room from other people. Rooms were very dirty. Didn't bother sleeping under the blankets. Yuck. The room above us had people that were jumping up and down, playing loud music. Pot smell throughout the hotel. There were no employees after 700pm, so none of these issues were able to be addressed. This was the most horrific hotel stay we have ever had. I would never recommend it. I guess you get what you pay for. We would not stay here if offered any amount of money.

Everything is super bad they have roaches they dont fix the plumbing toilets flood frequently the insurance also doesn't work its a waste of money the microwave looks like and smells like someone might have manufactured drugs inside of it the sheets were dirty when I came in something brown and sticky on them my room smelled like feces upon me leaving they never fixed the plumbing completely and the bottom of the toilet leaked for two days no one ever came even when I asked for toilet paper for two days the gave me a used roll bad enough I booked this room for 3 weeks and tried to leave 8 hours after check in they were going to still be charged six00 just to cancel first day expedia needs to romove them and code enforcement should shut them down this is definitely illegal to still be open side note they will vandalize your car if you park close to the building happend to me dont know who had time to put adhesive on my windshield

The room was ok. When I checked in the room given originally was dirty and someone smoked in it. I let front desk know, they gave me a new room. The new room was nice I looked on the toilet seat and saw someone had previously smoked in this room and damaged the toilet top. I didn’t find out till the next evening. I tried to inform front desk but the desk was closed. It was closed the next day as well. I would stay here again it wasn’t a horrible experience. Nice and clean for red roof inn.

Roaches on the curtains, no bed clothes or cases on the pillows, smelled horrible, reserved double beds got one bed, range hood was filthy no towels or wash cloths waited on customer service until I finally left and went elsewhere.

The cover to our air conditioner fell off multiple times, you could hear everything the people around you were doing. The shower was not clean and had terrible pressure. It was either all the way hot or all the way cold.

Awful. There was black mold in the bathroom, roaches everywhere, dirt all over the floor, fire alarms going off constantly, burning smell of cigarette smoke, no body at the front desk ever.

It was an absolute dump! No staff at counter, called and was told they’d be out shortly, 30 minutes later a man in dirty sweatpants and a dirty shirt came out to check us in. The area was unsafe for me and my young daughter. People out from smoking marijuana and cigarettes right by entrance, entire building inside and out reaked of weed and smoke. Entire place was filthy and disgusting. Finally got to the room, walked in to find dirty floors, dead bugs everywhere, filthy blankets on bed, bathroom looked like it hadn’t been cleaned in months! Worst experience ever!! Left keys on counter and walked out! Absolutely horrible experience! I highly recommend you take this hotel off your site! I am still trying to get my money back! I am traumatized over this! 10pm at night my young child and I were driving around Columbus trying to find a safe and clean hotel to sleep in! Awful, terrible, horrible experience!!

I called earlier in the day to say I'd be arriving late and was told that this would not a problem - just call the number on the phone in the lobby. Arrived at 10:37 PM and was told they did not have my reservation. Called Expedia through whom I had made the reservation and everything was fine on their end. Hometown screwed up and didn't even TRY to see if they had another room availble that night.

I requested a fully refund because did not stay at the hotel. The room was very dirty with cockroaches. Very dirty the whole room, towels, banquets, pilots, bed, floor, etc. Thi hotel is the most disgusting and dirtiest I've ever seen in the USA. I have booked 2 room that I did not use and finally I stay in another hotel. Very disappointed experience.

Good nightmare started at the front desk. I was told I could check in early at 2 o’clock. That was not true. I checked in at 3 o’clock. It took until 5 o’clock for me to receive towels. I immediately noticed that there were no locks on the window and call the front desk, she said there were definitely locks on every window. I asked her to come to my room and see for herself and I told her there was only a stick in the window holding the window close and she said the stick was the security I said, but it’s still opening from the top and someone could very easily break into this room. She says that, she would see if they have another stick roach on the wall curly hair if someone had just shaved their pubes in the bathtub not a pot dish or anything to even utilize the cooking area with the refrigerator was dirty and left stain from the previous guest, I was so exhausted after driving for over 40 hours I was there just to sleep Luckily I brought my Febreze with me. I took a hot shower with my shower shoes. Use my towel and just fell asleep. I was going to extend until I saw the condition of the property in the room. They were homeless people outside the property there’s homeless people walking around nothing gets homeless people however it just seems sketchy Property is terrible. I asked her for a room on a higher floor. She said all the other floors being renovated. This is not safe at all. Just get another room don’t go to this facility. It is terrible.

No toilet paper, no pillows, no shower curtain, no sheet on one bed. The toilet was filthy. We checked out and paid to stay elsewhere, rather than stay in such a place. There was no one around from whom to ask for a refund. Disgusting.

This is not the Red Roof Inn I thought I booked; that is a few blocks away. I killed two bugs on the wall. There were bugs in the bed. I was missing a towel, but the desk was only open 11AM to 7PM, so had to wait a day. One needs to bring their own drinking cup and any thing for the kitchen. Couldn't check in half an hour early. Fortunately, my wife wasn't along.

After I did check in .When out for a few hours.I came back to my room to get some sleep, For my surprise on side of the bed was wet. apparently they didn't dryit properly. I call the front desk They came in and check it and told me it will be reported to the management but nobody came back. I have to use showeltowel in order for me to sleep. That is unacceptable.

Roaches! Roaches! Roaches! We were so disgusted and scared they would get into our luggage that we had to quicky leave and fine a new place for the rest of our stay. These were the little roaches that are an infestation. The pictures for this hotel were taken a long time ago. The room was very dirty with stains on the bedsheets and holes in the curtains. The stay was horrible. My toilet didn’t work for two days. They weren’t accommodating to switch room until my last night. The checkout terrible nobody available to check us out because being closed. I had to contact emergency line and drop keys in drop box.

There were bugs every where and it was filthy! I went and bought clorox wipes and bug spray to try and make it a little better. HOWEVER, IT WAS A TERRIBLE STAY! I WOULD ABSOLUTELY NOT RECOMMEND THIS HOTEL. I CAN'T BELIEVE I SPENT THAT MUCH MONEY TO SLEEP WITH BUGS. I HAVE PICTURES AND VIDEOS IF THERE IS SOME WHERE TO UPLOAD THEM!!

I didnt even get to check in. Got there to check in and had to call sometime then they tried to put me in a 1 bed room instead of 2 then told me after that that i canceled my reservation which was untrue. The front desk was rude and unhelpful and i ended up calling the local cops and they told me that its roach infested and that a apartment complex had closed and those people have been placed there..i wouldn't recommend this place to a dog. Still trying to get my money back

Well checking in initially I was informed that the elevator was broken and I was on the 4th floor, which wasn't an issue really because it gave me the opportunity to tighten up my calves and glutes. Then the fist night I was made aware of the pest issue when I went to put my food in the microwave and I was greeted by a cockroach. Then I discovered the mattress had a huge hump in it like a camel's back. Then the kitchen sink was all jacked up; I had no issue turning the water on, but when it came to turning it off it was close to impossible. I did end up switching room and after that I only saw 1 roach. I would stay there again actually. The staff was extremely friendly and accommodating. You definitely get what you pay for and you can't beat that price.

Every picture of this hotel is a lie. Our room was horrible: urine on the toilet seat, mold, dirt, broken bed, cockroaches, soiled chairs, refrigerator that would not get cold, elevator that is broken, doorway locked…people hanging out in other entrance smoking weed (with small children running around). Because we had traveled 9 hours, would thought it would be okay for one night. We got back from our conference around 11:30 pm the next night. There were drug deals going down in the parking lot. We were followed to our room but got into there safely. We started looking for another hotel. There was yelling and screaming up and down the hall. We heard banging and clanking. We realized that someone was trying to break into any room on our floor. We sat quietly as they tried our door, banging and inserting a fake keycard and yanking the doorhandle. Thank goodness they didn’t get in. We stayed awake the rest of the night unable to leave, due to the yelling, banging and dealing going on outside. We were on the second floor and would have had to walk through the middle of it. As soon as the sun came up, everyone left. And so did we!!! I booked through Expedia and they were awesome and understanding. They tried to get a full refund but HomeTowne Studios would only refund the one night we didn’t stay because as they stated, we “technically” stayed two nights. We had no choice. We could not go out into the chaos that was outside our second floor door.

The people working for the hotel kept telling me not to use the window when I was not using the window until I had left and handed things to my husband out of the window to load into the car. They kicked me out because they said I had a dog. Which I have all paperwork for so then they change their story and said it was because I refused the exterminator to come in and that he left a note on the door which was not there when I returned and my husband was there with his balls the entire day and no one had come to the door. Now they're saying they kick me out because I was using the window but they have no proof of me coming in or out of the window. My car was also hit while parked in the back lot. Which I filed a police report for but they still would not show me the cameras. I believe that it was one of their employees who sit in a white Nissan SUV that hit my car. Because the white Nissan had red marks from clearly hitting something on it and my car is red and has white marks on it. The hotel barely gets cleaned except for someone sweeping or mopping the hallway. In the three and a half weeks I stayed here not once did house keeping come to my room. Not once dead housekeeping knock on my door or offer towels rags bedding nothing on the amenities as part of my itinerary there should be breakfast in the mornings which never we're offered. Absolutely the worst hotel I have ever been to. I’ve traveled to many countries and stayed at hostels better than this. I have never stayed at a place that literally had roaches, baby roaches, but roaches nonetheless. Had to go to the store to get wipes and Lysol to clean everything including the sheets and other fabrics. Bed frames were broken/sagging, mattresses looked very old and were lumpy, bathroom exhaust fan was clogged full of dust, dad has never had allergies until being in that room, exterior doors didn’t reliably let me in, people sitting outside and wandering the property at all hours of the day, dirty towels, used bar of soap and face towel when we first got there, etc. My dad has mobility issues and the elevator was not functional the entire stay. We didn’t check out immediately since all area hotels were booked due to big events happening. Outside looks very deceiving and pictures too. Staff was nice and easy to work with but that’s the only ok thing I can say about this place. It wasn’t even a good value option since we were miserable the entire time.

I have never been more disgusted in my entire life. There was a foul smell throughout the entire property. We got there at 2 am, had to climb 4 flights of stairs because their elevator was broken. Mold and cockroaches all over the room. Bed sheets were dirty, window was stuck open with a broken screen. Half of the furniture in the room was broken. And the rest of the motel was being used as a homeless shelter. The area was completely unsafe. We spent 5 minutes in the room unable to breathe because of how badly it smelled and immediately left. Yes we went to check in and it was 5:30 they told us that we didn't have a booking and that was not right we came back several times and they said we were not booked by time they verified we were booked it was seven something the evening and they said it was too late we were very upset I don't understand why they did this to us and we did not get our deposit back

This was THE worst experience I've ever had in 30 years of time on the road. I can understand low cost options for being a challenge, but I draw a line with live bug/roach infestation, dirty towels and linen, and filthy/unclean, unsanitary plumbing. It's a disgrace that venues such as this even get an opportunity to be rated on a "legitimate" site such as Trivago or Expedia. Places like this should be Red Flagged and taken out of prospective options! This venue is a wall-papered over Roach Motel!! Buyer BEWARE!!!

Nothing there was nice, saw roaches, bed was uneven, shower curtain rod was broken and the window was cracked, trash outside on grounds and my check in was horrible after taking the ride eye arriving there around 7am then told I couldn't check in till 3pm so I had to sleep in rental car in the parking lot.

Extending stay online very easy

What I would like to compliment the management on is many of their policies including 12pm checkout without a reminder from staff pre -12 pm, when extending stay on hotel.com I was not even required to check back with the desk the room was just extended. The extension procedure was for several and each time handled the same way, meaning it seemed to not just be one employee doing something different but the hotel's policy overall for all guests.

The hotel is not very clean, there were bugs in the room. Lots of litter in the hallway. Room was not well maintained, lots of damage to cabinets. There was a stove, microwave and refrigerator, but the refrigerator was turned off. Nothing at all to cook with. No coffee maker. Bed was very uncomfortable. Pictures made the room seem much more up to date than it is.

This was the worse hotel I have ever in my life stayed at. The roaches met me at the door we had no working toilet had to drive to gas station no tv or phone in the room person on call didn’t know anything all he said was I only check people in but he was the one answering emergency phone! The elevator was broken so I had to do 4 flights of stairs but because it was so late we stayed the night because we had no where to go but checked out first thing in morning ROACHES everywhere!!!! I enjoyed the stay. My only issue was that I had no ironing board, iron or Blow dryer. But I loved having the full kitchen setup.

Avoid at all costs

The entire facility was being used as a low income housing project, with children and random people roaming the halls at all hours. There was no heat in my room, and with the front desk only being mznned from 11 - 7, i found it difficult to communicate with the staff.

This hotel is perfectly suited for transients people came in and out with their clothing and garbage bags we waited 10 minutes for someone to come to the desk to check us in we got to the room open the door and the smell was disgusting & it looked like something out of World War II Shelter. The lady checking me in was friendly. They were still cleaning my room when I walked to my room. That wasn’t a big deal, but didn’t do a very good job cleaning. Cigarette burns all over the side of the bathtub when the room is suppose to be non smoking. Cabinet door hanging off. Inside cabinets were dirty, and looked like something was splattered all over the outside of the fridge door. I killed about 15 roaches! There was an alarm going off every half an hour. If I had money to leave and go to a different hotel I would have! I won’t ever stay here again!

I have never left a hotel due to its condition but upon arriving back to my room, we found cockroaches and other bugs everywhere in our room. We went to the front desk who were unable to help us, and there were even more bugs on the desk there. The condition of the room itself was poor-the only redeeming quality was the proximity to the highway but would never stay here or recommend.

Stay away from here! From the moment we checked in, everything was very dirty and not up to par by a long shot. When we discovered many cockroaches in each of our rooms, we immediately checked out with no help whatsoever from staff to resolve it. When Expedia called the front desk to try to help us, we watched the staff let the phone ring until voicemail as a roach ran across the desk. Still waiting for a refund days later after they won't respond to their calls and still hoping to get the security deposit back. Save yourself the stress and stay somewhere else!

Tossed and turned all night just to get comfy, pillows feel like folded towels in a pillow case. Our stay was 8/11/23 - 8/18/23 and could not get a refund as it was non refundable per this app. Glad they didn’t have the audacity to ask for a deposit! The staff was genuinely nice but nothing more. Absolutely the worst experience thus far at an extended stay. Not sure how this place passes any inspections!!

Do not. Just don't. If you are going to...know that their office hours are from 11a to 7p and if you get there after 7p, well good luck getting someone to help you. And while I was waiting to NOT get checked in, a couple who had just checked in, left because their room was full of bugs. So after waiting more than a half hour, at 1130pm, and not getting someone to check me in, and finding out about bugs, I left and drove home instead. Whatever they are charging for the room, it is probably not worth it...
