Excellent property!
Staff excellent
We enjoyed staying here our room was clean & cozy. The outdoor heated pools/hot tubs were nice, they were all different temps!
It was clean and beautiful. The rooms were awesome. The staff was curtious and very friendly.
Just a little run down and not as clean as expected. Otherwise the property and location are great.
It was a perfect get away for our 8th anniversary! The food was good, the staff was incredible and we really enjoyed the area. We are looking forward to going back when all the construction is finished!
Fun for a couple and family
The staff here was outstanding. We loved the room, especially the window seat. The year-round pool complex is so fun and it was fun to swim in a pool and hot tub in a snow storm. There was an issue with an alarm during the night and the hotel was quick to make it right for us in a way that we were happy with. The restaurant was also delicious.
Great updated rooms. New pool area is open and amazing. Construction on the new reception area makes it noisy and inconvenient
Very nice property! Rooms were very clean! Service was great! Loved the heated pools!!
Great winter retreat
Had a great stay. The room was amazing, clean and quiet. Breakfast is a must try. The pool and hot tubs were the best part. Great winter getaway.
Scuba stay
Way nicer than expected. The room was very clean and simple. The pools were very nice and clean. We came for scuba and were glad we stayed on sight.
I always love my experiences when going to the Homestead. Recently after checking in we went to get towels for the pool at the front desk from the same wonderful receptionist that checked us in and some other man I am not sure his position asked if she asked for my room number right in front of me which felt disrespectful to not only someone I see doing a wonderful job and providing great service but to me as well. I don't mind being asked, but to be treated as if I was lying to cheating them felt off. Other than that the staff is always so wonderful, we love celebrating out moments at the Homestead!
We had a great stay at Homestead Resort! The staff was incredibly friendly and accommodating, always making sure we were comfortable. We did encounter a room cleaning issue, but as soon as we brought it up, they took care of it right away. We also had a broken fridge in our room, which was replaced the next day without any hassle. The on-site restaurant was a pleasant surprise—we had breakfast there, and it was absolutely delicious. One of the highlights of our stay was the pools and hot tubs, which were perfect for the winter ski season. They were spacious, very clean, and never felt overcrowded. Another bonus was the nearby crater, which we visited on our last day. It was a unique and relaxing experience, making for a perfect way to end our trip. Overall, Homestead Resort offered a great mix of comfort, relaxation, and excellent service. We’d definitely recommend it and would love to return!
The coffee house or “Milk House” was quaint and adorable. The staff were all welcoming and lovely. The hot pools were incredible…clean, and well cared for.
The rooms and pool were recently renovated and they are gorgeous!! We had so much fun. They are still under construction for some new additions which will be exciting and beautiful but it doesn’t affect your stay at all. Delicious restaurants close by and the pools and hot tubs can’t be beat! We will definitely be back soon!
There are multiple building units. It probably would be fine if the weather was warmer. It was just hard if you wanna go get ice, you have to go to the front desk in the main building unit so we just opted not to have ice because you have to walk there. The pool looks really nice, but you have to again walk there outside quite a ways in the freezing cold and then figure out how you’re gonna get back to your room all wet.
Meh
Everyone was very kind and so helpful!
We loved how cozy and comfortable it felt here! It’s a perfect place to getaway and relax. Staff is friendly and helpful. We will definitely be back!
It’s near the beautiful mountains.
Lots of changes since the last visit 5 years ago. The changes will be good for couples or those visiting traveling without young children. In my opinion no longer kid (under10) friendly. Only restaurant is Simons, which is small but elegant. Dinner reservations required and was sold out. We had twin toddlers with us and was not offered booster seats for our breakfast. Parking lot limited as well given the construction and what looks like more changes happening.
Excellent Resort! Staff was so friendly and we had a great weekend
The Homestead Resort is a fantastic place to stay! The property has cozy fire pits, great pools, and relaxing hot tubs, all in a beautiful setting. It’s also conveniently located near skiing, making it a perfect spot for a winter getaway. The on-site coffee shop is adorable and adds to the charm. Overall, the resort offers a wonderful mix of relaxation and adventure—I’d definitely recommend it!
Great stay
Get stay, beautiful property!
I wish we had been able to access the property amenities such as the crater, hot pools, and dining. Unfortunately it was snowing and the resort was unable to maintain the walkways so that these areas were accessible. It also would have been nice to have some help from staff moving our bags the 1/4 mile walk across the property to and from our room. I think this place would be a wonderful place to stay under better weather conditions.
Our stay on valentines day was really special, I only wish we could have stayed longer. The pools are amazing, especially while it snows. We stayed in a king suite, just my partner and I, and it was cozy yet elegant. The property is quiet and the rooms are away from the golf course and pools. The parking area was slightly cramped due to some construction projects on the property, but everything else was wonderful.
Our family had a great time :)
Wonderful swimming pools.
Very nice rooms. Attentive staff.
There is a lot of construction around the property. The lighting is poor. It is very difficult to find the place in the dark. Make sure you check in during daylight hours.
Constructions around the property right now
The resort was a great place to stay so we could swim at the crater and explore other activities in the local area. The staff was incredible and the rooms were clean and quiet.
The two queen room should really only have one king bed. These rooms are tiny. Also, the cleanliness of the rooms is in questions. There was a lot of dust and I found cotton swabs that were not ours. Hotel needs to talk to their house cleaning staff asap. The parking situation is also difficult to navigate and crowded. The on premises restaurant was fine, the waiters seemed very overwhelmed. Over all it was fine, between a 2 and 3 star out of 5.
We had a very nice stay, will be much better once construction is done!
The stag can do a better job of ensuring all rooms have coffee cups in them. My room had a great coffee maker to use but no coffee cups at all. It only had wine glasses. For the price I paid I expect to be able to have a cup of coffee in my room when I wake up, instead I had to go walk out in the rain to pay for another cup at the coffee shop. To me this is poor service.
Didn't like I could not park to close to the building I was in, But The rooms are great and the outdoor pools that are open year round was a great surprise. Scenery was beautiful.
Amazing solo trip
It was such a beautiful room. The oversized tub inside of the shower was amazing. The fireplace, living room, all amazing. The only thing i wish the property would have is more than one parking area. So you can be closer to your room when youre not close to the front of the property.
Love the updated rooms, love that they heat the pools in the summer & loved Simon’s for breakfast!
The heated pool and hot tubs
We loved staying at the Homestead! So cute and comfy place
The check in was great and people were very nice and friendly. The room was clean and nice looking inside other than one of the legs of the bed did have some damage. By the time we left the floors were really dirty because of the snow and salt that melted from our shoes but there was no place to put the shoes other than at the front door. Other than that the overall stay was great and very easy and relaxing.
We’ve stayed at the Homestead many times over the years. They are in the middle of a big update and the room we stayed in was tastefully decorated and comfortable. The new year-round pools were amazing even in 12 degree weather. Heated dressing rooms were very nice! The Homestead is close to cross-country skiing and winter hiking. Our favorite restaurant in Midway is The Pizza Yard with delicious artisan wood fired pizza, scrumptious salad and Italian sodas. We will be back to the Homestead and Midway again!
Very very nice
The hot tubs were my favorite .. the restaurant was delish and not too expensive as might be expected. Beds were comfy and they let us check out late bc we were eating at the restaurant. Locker rooms were high class!!! Will def go back💕
Great stay
The property is under construction. Be aware when you are booking. The neighborhood looks nice. Hot pools are a plus.
.
Very clean, quiet, excellent dining experience.
The room felt more like an apartment than a hotel, so cozy and pretty! The grounds are nestled in the mountains, and the heated pools are well kept. We will be back
Bach and Babies!
The hotel staff were all so kind and wonderful!! We celebrated a bachelorette party with 7 adults and 2 babies. The entire staff was really sweet and accommodating for our babies. The room was beautiful and so clean. The pools were gorgeous. We had such a fun night!
We had a terrific stay at The Homestead and even extended our stay by one night. One small note...given the weather with snow and salt, it would be good to have a small carpet upon entry to the room to wipe feet and to leave wet shoes. We loved the Milk House and had a great breakfast at Simon's.
Construction right outside our window started at 7:30am.
Beautiful place
Despite being Christmas Eve and kids in the suite next door-not too loud!
Pretty good
We usually stay here every New Years and we love it. This year it wasn't as clean as we are used to it being...just crumbs on the floor and little things like that. I did end up just wetting a towel and mopping so things felt a little better. Other than that, it was fabulous. Loved the firepit to make smores. :)
We loved staying the weekend with the family. Beautiful pool area with lots of pools! Adorable little coffee shop. Staff was very nice and helpful! Will be coming back again.
Winter Wonderland family get away
Great 2 night 3 day stay with 26 members of my family at the Homestead resort. We enjoyed the amenities that were available there and in the area of Midway. Would highly recommend.
The rooms were beautiful, the pools were incredible. Nice and hot, we loved every second
Our room wasn’t available for check in at 4pm, the property is under construction with limited space for parking. They have an outdoor restroom that wasn’t clean
Walked from my room to the crater. Great experience. Had a steam room in the shower, which was great after being in the cold.
Great service, really fun stay
Staff was amazing! Property is really turning into something spectacular, even during renovations. We’ve tried dining there for the past 4 years and have only been disappointed in the quality of the food each time. Mediocre at best. The servers are friendly and nothing but professional, thank goodness as the food needs a major overhaul or perhaps a different chef. New Year’s Eve morning we walked to the dining room only to be told the chef didn’t show up , oh we can get coffee and pastries at the milk house. Not what I wanted to eat, and what about all those families there with children? I guess get in your car drive into midway and find other dining options. What a shame! Disappointing ! This could be a 5 star review but because of dining you miss the rating
Pools and crater hot spring are wonderful. Loved the restaurant for dinner. Cozy. Rooms are spread across the grounds in small houses. Little hard to find in the dark and slippery in the ice and snow but room was worth the walk in the rain. Just know that you will need to walk a ways from the parking to find your building. Will be back for sure.
Beautiful resort, wonderful experience during Christmas. 🎄
Exelente lugar
all excellent
Parking was terrible. We got in late, it was pretty dark. We didn’t notice how filthy our room was until morning. Dried vomit all over the wall. Pool closes really early for the weekends so that was disappointing.
Great place to stay. Kids had a blast. Will come back
Treat Yourself to The Homestead
Our room was clean and very comfortable. We ate at 3 of the restaurants on the property and enjoyed the meal and service. The hot spas and the pools were wonderful and the whole place was beautiful with the lights in many of the trees.
The new pool complex was amazing!!!!
Strange for a hotel that seems high end to not have anywhere to hang a coat in a room? No cupboard or coat hooks in our room and very limited outlets. Aside from that weirdness it was a nice stay, I would stay there again but try and get a different room with either a chair or hooks…
Great stay! Love the new remodeled rooms
Perfect for a romantic getaway
I really enjoy staying in the cottages at Homestead. It’s comfy and cozy and the steam shower was a nice surprise for both of us. Perfect for a romantic getaway.
Great Hotel
Great hotel. Some rooms are a walk from the lobby but worth the stroll. Liked it so much we booked again the next day.
Leslie is an angel.
Love coming here and being able to bring it kids
I’ve gone to The Homestead since I was a kid. The recent remodel is really incredible. Very special place.
We visit this area often and we’re eager to experience this expanding and newly renovated property. Despite a nearly empty resort we were sent to the furthest building from the main entrance and on the second floor. No offer of help with shuttle or bags and we had to walk and bring everything up an outside set of stairs. Room was sparsely appointed with amenities and any housekeeping services are only available with 24 hour notice. Often when we would arrive at a service location ( cafe, front desk etc.) we would find it unstaffed and had to wait for someone to show up. They are spending a lot of money on construction, but the service standard is way behind.
Beautiful renovated room. Property is under construction but gorgeous property.
This place is incredible. The pools are amazing, the food at the restaurant is so delicious and the staff is so helpful. I can’t wait to go back! The beds are so comfortable and the pillows are dreamy and I will be booking again soon!!
Very cute resort with updated nice rooms.
Very festive and beautiful property. Staff were attentive and available for anything we needed.
I like the remodeling that has taken place at the Homestead. IT's beautiful. Scenery is great.
the room had no chairs and the bathroom door was hard to open and close at some times. the TV was difficult to work. TV mostly had to pay for usage.
Love the location, miss some of the charm
The entry was a mess, road to narrow and almost got in an accident. I miss some of the charm of the Homestead where each lodging had character.
Great place! Clean and updated room, we love this place!
Such a beautiful place
Was treated like a king the rooms were exceptional and the food was great
Mini break
The hotel accommodation was lovely. The food in the coffee shop was disappointing however.
We had a very pleasant stay there. The staff was friendly and attentive. S
We had a wonderful stay at the homestead celebrating my partners birthday. Staff were very attentive and kind. The property is essentially brand new and our kind room was located on the second floor of a cottage like building. It had nice views from the deck and there was a nice community fire pit about 50’ from the entrance. Pools were amazing and we had a breakfast and dinner on property that were very good!
Great quiet getaway with lots of activities to do for the whole family.
Several years back we came here and it was not great as I think they were getting ready for a renovation. I decided to give it a try again since the setting is so beautiful. In the past you could park near where the building was, but they have changed that so now you're forced to take a cart from where you check into your place and then they want you to haul it back which isn't convenient at all. Supposedly they're going to build some parking lots closer to some of the buildings which will help with this but we found that part annoying. I also think I ended up with food poisoning from dinner there one night. It's going to be bought out by Marriott or has been and they're going to be doing a lot of changes but it seems like they haven't worked out some of the hospitality kinks yet. The buildings have been upgraded really nicely and everything looks great at this point but I did find some things lacking.
Friendly, welcoming atmosphere
Beautiful place and the updates are really nice!
Great place to stay
Although the property has a history with original buildings that are inaccessible, the amenities are modern with a farmhouse feel. Walking through the property, I was struck by the charm of it. The new pools, cozy coffee shop, and delicious menu in the restaurant we're all exceptional.
Was a great place to stay.
Clean and cozy place. Great to stay!
Amazing resort to stay at, you will not be disappointed. Rooms have been completely redone, brand new.
