We enjoyed our stay at Home2Suites Polaris, the staff were all incredibly friendly and the room was spotless. The location is convenient to many amenities. A charging station for EV cars was a bonus.

The EV chargers were blocked by ICE cars and the management says they “get that comment a lot.” Fixing that would be great because one of the reasons we picked this location was for the EV charging - which we did t get. There was also no hot water for showers. Not a good experience.

I really enjoy the aesthetics of Home2 Suites. One of my favorite chains to stay at. Everything was perfect except the bed and pillows were not comfortable at all. Style, service, convenience of check-in, and cleanliness were all above average though.

The room was very nice but in the shower there was 2 hair conditioners but no shampoo. Sort of frustrating getting ready when your hair can’t cooperate!

My room was clean but I obviously paid to much money for the tv not to work nobody came up To look at it they just said you can move to a different room I had my daughters sleepover all organized so o didn’t move smh

Probably one of the worst experiences I’ve had with a hotel. I booked because it looked nice and i was bringing my daughter to the zoo and Zoombezi bay for some end of the summer fun. After walking the zoo all day we just wanted to take a hot shower and relax…. To our surprise our room didn’t have hot water. I call to the front desk and the worker was so rude telling me to run it for 15 minutes and hung up. I ran it for over 30 minutes and it didn’t even get warm. Called back and she suggested we move rooms or talk to a GM the next morning and then disconnected the call. RUDE. The next morning i go down and speak to front desk and she says management doesn’t work on weekends and to call Monday. As i was checking out, low and behold… MANAGEMENT. Smh he gave me a measly $54 off the room was was over $200 for one night. I will NEVER stay at one of these hotels again. Very rude. Very unprofessional. & i wasn’t the only room without hot water smh

The pool was so small and there were lots of people coming in that weren’t guest, but a guest let them in. The were shooting guest with water blasters and lots of families including ours left due to this unsafe environment and disturbance. Then the fire pit was one of the main reasons we chose this hotel and it doesn’t work and apparently hasn’t for a while. Our room was ready when we checked in and we were told they were sold out then asked if we actually needed a 2 queen bed room. This experience was horrible!!!

Great location right off highway and near a lot of dining and shopping options. Has breakfast including with a good selection. Has an indoor pool that was a nice warmer temp for kids. Weird comment but shower was slippery, both of my kids took what step in shower and slipped and fell...there was a sign in the bathroom that there was anti slip mats upon request so we asked at the front desk and was told they didnt have them but then ran into a housekeeper on the way back to door and managed to get one. Decent place, would stay again

Could have been better.

Couldn’t charge our phones because none of the USB’s worked in our room. The one bed creaked each time you sat and got up and their mattress would sink where you sat. Overall not a fan of this location. I’ve been in others that were way nicer.

Home2 Suites was a very nice place to stay. The breakfast was very good, and rooms were clean. The kids enjoyed the indoor pool.

We were gone every day by 1230pm and didnt return for 12 hours. Our room was never cleaned or towels replaced. We got our own towels on our forth day. Place was very clean, with the exception of our room after first night. Breakfast was pretty standard. Area around was fantastic. Cabelas very close and just about every restaurant imaginable. Id stay in this area again, but definitely not at this particular place.

Everything was great until checkout. I asked for a receipt and she asked if I wanted a paper receipt and I said yes. She typed something in the computer and then stated I would need to get it from Expedia, turned and walked away. I was somewhat miffed and not sure about my return in the future.

Hotel was clean and comfortable and very convenient for access to Polaris shopping and dining. Staff were helpful. Only gripe was on the breakfast some items were out.

Toilet tissue too far from toilet

Just the cleanliness of the room & the communication between workers, asked that my room be cleaned while we stepped away & came back 6 hours later & it was not we then had to call down to ask for bed sheets fresh towels & watch them make our bed….. The food for breakfast was very slim pickings & the two young ladies who was restocking wasn’t very helpful also the food was pretty cold…

Two-Night Anniversary Stay

Our check-in was good. I was a little disappointed because this was an anniversary stay and I wanted a gift placed in our room before we arrived so my spouse would be surprised. I was told by the general manager Mike that this request was denied by a “higher up”. The disappointment stemmed from the fact that their direct competitor (Marriott) in the same city had no problem doing this for me in a recent previous year. They did hold the gift for me in the front office and it was handed to me at check in. Our room was very nice with a small kitchenette, sofa and a king sized bed. Bed was comfortable. Shower water pressure was very good. Good lighting throughout. Comfortable warmth. During the morning of day 2, we received a knock on the door. Before I was able to get off the couch and to the door, a keycard was used and the door was opened by a worker. Startled that he saw me now standing inside the room at the door, he exclaimed that he thought we’d checked out and that he was notified of an issue with the sink. After telling him we were there for two nights and that we had no sink issues, he looked and saw he was a room off. Yes the “do not disturb” placard was on the doorknob on the hallway side. Typically we keep the door locked, but we were just getting ready to leave so it was unlocked. Could have been an awkward situation!

Bad experience

We were provided a room that was extremely warm. We set the air conditioner to cool the room and went for dinner. Returned to a 76 degree room. We asked about it snd the host on staff came to the room and asked what we'd like to do since she couldnt rectify the heat issue. We asked to switch rooms. The next room was cool. Im guessing because the air was running full on to alleviate a stench in the room that was undescribable. There were crumbs and what looked like blood spots on the floor. We just decided we had caused enough problems and went to bed. Did not sleep all night because the smell was overwhelming. Should have complained as soon as we went in but waited until morning and left early.

Clean, we stay here every year. Seems staff is not properly trained, nice, but needs training on how to use and read their systems

The rooms are outstanding with the kitchens. The bed was like sleeping on a cloud. Breakfast was not great but typical free hotel prepared breakfast. It also took a good 7 minutes (no exaggeration) running the water on hot to get even warm water. After about 10 minutes it was hot. Otherwise, great stay!

Overall, great quality for great price. The bathroom didn’t seem like it was cleaned well, but it could have been due to busy weekend turn around. It wasn’t dirty, just could see where a few spots were missed in the shower and in the floor. Overall, would definitely recommend.

The property and staff was very good. The only problem I have encountered is that the insulation from floor to floor of the structure is not sound and walk proof. You can hear walking or jumping directly from the floor above or the room above and below yours. Other than that the place is very good.

The area and parking was fine and the room was what we expected, but we were given a broken pack and play for our 1 year old and they checked another guest into our room a couple hours after we had checked in.Thankfully I was still in the room. But after that our key cards for the hotel didnt work and we had to get new copies so it was sort of a frustrating stay.

We liked our room very much except that we had to let the shower run for 20 minutes and then it would finally get warm. Had many staff members that were nice but several that were rude. We had a call right after we walked into our room (on 4th floor) after being outside smoking from a staff member saying they had complaints from others that we were smoking in room and it's a $250 charge. We do not do that especially when I have my daughter in the room with me. I assured her that it was not us and that the staff has seen us go downstairs many times that morning.

Excellent hotel! VERY COLD pool...

I needed to come to Columbus to work on a project for a few days with my boss so I booked the king suite so we'd have a table to work at together. The room was fantastic and provided us a great space to worj at for a couple days. Really liked this hotel. Everyone I interacted with was great. Breakfast was good. We tried to swim one afternoon and the pool was so so SOOOO very cold that we were barely able to stay in for 10 minutes and never got fully in the water. Everything else was excellent!

Unanswered question about extra fee

The room itself and all of the amenities were fantastic!!! But we get there and the man tells me that I have to swipe my card again for verification, but i seen he was charging me $105. When i asked him what it was for all he said was it was $35 a day for whatever we didn't use, but would go back on the card if we didn't use anything. What do you mean what we don't use? He would not answer the question. I looked everywhere to find out what the extra charge was for and couldn't find anything anywhere.
