Loved it
Cute place! Clean and spacious rooms. Location was great. Price was good! Easy walking to Hollywood Walk of Fame, Chinese Theater and shopping!
Checked in, immediately checked out. Bathroom was disgusting, hair all over the place, toe nail clippings and hairs on floor, in tub and in sink. Horrible. Awaiting refund.
Everything was great: the staff, room/bathroom cleanliness and location was perfect. Definitely will stay here next time!
Pros: convenient for tourist destinations, respectful staff, relatively quiet Cons: a bit untidy (there was some hairs), old room with few equipment, poor breakfast options and service, poor room service, poor parking space
🎄
The building was very outdated and smelled. The staff was extremely accommodating and went out of their way to be helpful
No parking!!!!! We were told to park across the street at the magic castle ; blocks away or pay below in the covered parking. We went below but took us to a mall. So!!!!! No parking! I am trying to cancel my reservation but told could not because we booked through Travelocity. This is a horrible situation.
Really near the Ovation and Kodak theater.
Great value for money. This Hotel is just at the backnof the walk of fame, with an easy access through the mall. Its located on a nice and quite street. Staff are great and helpful and make you feel at home from the moment you walk in. They didn't have any GF breakfast options available, but ai found out that you can try to let them know when making the booking and they will do their best to accommodate you. My room was big with big and super comfortable beds, and small kitxhen qith everything you may need. Super highly recommended 👌
Perfect spot if you are attending an event at the Hollywood Bowl or the Dolby Theater
Hotel property was close to the shops and dining Walking there was unsafe
Great location, very friendly staff
It's right in the heart of Hollywood and the staff were very helpful and friendly. I was there with my young daughter and felt completely at home.
Spent one night to attend the Magic Castle, then a Jimmy Kimmel taping the following day. The hotel was perfectly located for both. Alvin greeted us warmly at check-in, while Patricia, who attended the breakfast room, was so sweet offering great tips for the area. We wouldn't hesitate to book another stay at The Hollywood Celebrity Hotel.
Fine Hotel Right Next to a Mall
The hotel was fine. It's about 3 miles from Universal Studios (one stop on the train), which is why we stayed there. There is a mall only 1/2 block away, so easy access to stores and food. Check in took forever. The morning employee was much more friendly than the evening desk employee. The hotel has a smell, but it's not too bad. The biggest downside for us was that breakfast isn't until 7:30! On the plus side the breakfast lady is really nice. If you go down at 7:15 you can get breakfast early.
We had a great stay
Los Angeles Hollywood trip
Clean property with a very good location.
The parking is not available You have to paid for it
Very handy and close to Walk of fame. Staff were very pleasant and helpful. Only downside, could hear people in rooms above and beside. Apart from that, it was good place to stay
Classic old hotel. Very clean and comfortable. The staff were all very friendly and helpful.
The staff are friendly & kind. The hotel is walking distant to tourist area, restaurants & shopping mall.
Great Location
We had a wonderful quick stay and the location was great because it was right across the street from The magic castle where we had reservations. We came for our anniversary and it was a cute vintage hotel.
Holly would at the Celebrity
A cute boutique hotel on a surprisingly quiet street in Hollywood. Traffic to get there a challenge in general but that is LA. Comfortable beds, very clean rooms, bath and shower. Minimal breakfast (no proteins). Parking lot is secure and right next to the hotel. Friendly staff. I have stayed here before and would stay again. Across the street from the Magic Castle.
This is a place to be when you want a surreal hollywood experience. Please stay at this hotel
Quick LA visit
The hotel was clean, in a great location, the parking price was really great, the staff were really friendly and professional. They offered free continental breakfast and the person who was operating the area knew your order from the day before. My only con to this property is that the walls were really thin. I could hear everything in the room next door ( and they were loud in general) and it sounded like the people upstairs were dropping their luggage as they walked ( maybe carpet would help) If I were to return I would need a room on the second floor in the rear of the hotel. Overall, I really like the hotel
This hotel was an incredible surprise. We just needed a hotel that was close to The Magic Castle, but we got so much more! The room was awesome, and it even had a small kitchen. The staff was outstanding. The breakfast lady made our morning so much fun. We're definitely coming back.
The property was well maintained and clean. The staff were fantastic. They are helpful, friendly, and pleasant. The kitchen staff were so friendly and helpful. Ms. Patricia was particularly kind to my husband and myself. The hotel is in a walkable area. Convenient to the tourist areas.
It’s a quaint little hotel with a great location. Rooms are spacious and we had a kitchen attached which was helpful. There’s a vintage feel but with modern, comfortable beds. It’s a short walk to the Chinese theatre and mall with a lot of shops (target grocery) and restaurants and stores, as well as the train station (one stop to Universal Studios). Also, the Hollywood Stars walk is a block away. Staff are amazing throughout- front desk fellows are knowledgeable and entertaining. Patricia, who runs the morning breakfast, is a true gem and honestly sets this hotel apart. She makes you feel so special and welcomed. We moved to a splashy hotel in Anaheim after staying here And in comparing the hotels, the kids said: “this one has pool, water park, etc but the other one had Patricia and we miss Patricia.”
Overall good value - hotel with Very friendly personnel , older property that needs some face lift , quiet location steps away from noisy Hollywood boulevard , Breakfast variety is limited - hotel management should consider adding few additional options .Will stay again
the location was excellent for going to venues and holleywood blvd
So dissapointed in this hotel!
I believed the positive reviews on this hotel when I booked it-- big mistake. It's close to everything, I'll give it that. Here are my issues: parking was ridiculous, very limited, and you have to drive to it (traffic around that area is terrible). I had called earlier and asked about parking and got the "No problem!" response--ha! We arrived at 4:00 PM and the lot was almost full. We did get the last spot, but then couldn't get out the entire two-night stay. Some visitors even park in the middle of the lanes and then you're stuck there! Or the lot fills up and then you have to drive over to the Ovation shopping center to park; the hotel feels old and spare overall, very basic furnishings; no coffee/tea in room; decor old and sparse; no elevator; teeny TV (my computer monitor at home is the same size); broken clock; very squeaky bed; deadbolt on my door was not working properly, so it didn't feel entirely safe; the breakfast needed some protein and fruit to it-- it was nothing but carbs. The employees were the positive thing about the hotel: front desk people were very helpful and friendly. I felt bad for them that they had to explain the parking issues to everyone so often. The breakfast woman, Patricia, was outstanding-- so eager to please and friendly. She's the star of the show there! Don't let the term "Executive" fool you in the room descriptions. There's nothing executive about the rooms we had. Honestly, I expected so much more out of this hotel.
Extremely close to Hollywood Bowl.
We had a very nice. Friendly staff, clean facility, affordable and extremely convenient if you're in town seeing a show at the Hollywood Bowl.
Hotel is clean and in a great location. Close to Hollywood Blvd and Hollywood Bowl. Staff is helpful and friendly. Definitely would stay there again. Recommend!
Very clean, large room. Very nice informative staff! Very walkable to Hollywood Bowl and Hollywood Blvd.
I did requested her downstairs room as l have issues with my mobility. Manager was kind enough to listen to my request. Breakfast was good service. Good, overall. I asked for hot water to make a cup off tea. Very kindly helped me out with my request.
The people above us made so much noise all night long. They were banging, moving furniture and playing loud music and talking loudly. I was not able to sleep all night. Despite multiple complaints to the front desk, nothing changed. I’ll never stay there again.
Really nice staff, walking distance to Hollywood Bowl and centric
Love this little hotel on a quiet street with easy access to everything in Hollywood. We stayed here without a car and just walked and took the metro everywhere. Staff was incredibly friendly and the room, while worn, was super clean and comfortable.
Excellent location; 3min walk to Hollywood Walk of Fame; breakfast great
Sweet hotel in Hollywood
This is a really sweet hotel. It has a very mid century feel to it but is clean and fresh. The need was really comfortable. Very nice service at the front desk. Good standard breakfast, waffles etc. Very good coffee.
I made a reservation & they had no rooms
Serious BS
We'd stay there again. Staff was great. Hotel is old, but well-kept. Parking is tight, but they will valet your vehicle. Location is very convenient to Hollywood Blvd. and the Hollywood Bowl, both within walking distance.
Always a Great Stay.
I will be back!
Loved the location and friendly accommodating staff. We could walk to Hall of Fame and shopping and restaurants Lovely beds and able to sleep w windows open at night. Super clean hotel ( noisy upstairs guests) but room comfort w kitchen was great when on the road! Loved it❤️
Great stay. The staff was by far the best part. They were amazing. The hotel itself is dated and needed aome.work. furniture and linens were clean and new. Booking my.next stay again
I loved the location on a quiet street right around the corner from the tourist activities. Walkable to the Bowl, which is where I was going this trip! It was even closer than expected.
Property is positioned close to all sorts of things to do. Hollywood Walk of Fame, Graumans Theater, Hollywood Bowl, and other places are all close by. Shuttles nearby will take you to Universal Studios, Hollywood Bowl, etc.
Great stay!
Great service. Friendly, helpful staff. Very comfortable.
Friendly staff, great location
The location is fantastic and you are literally 5 minutes from the hollywood walk of fame. The decor is a bit dated and old fashioned and its not particularly fancy but as long as this doesn't bother you, then this is an amazing place to stay. We were more intersted in having a base so we coudl go out and explore and this was perfect for this. It was spotlessly clean and the breakfast (special shout out to Patricia) was quick and easy and had enough to fill you up before your day out exploring. All the staff here were lovely and couldn't do enough for you but I would like to say a special thanks to Mike who helped us on the last morning when we were leaving with all of our bags, and after a lovely chat outside waiting for the cab, tipped the cab driver on our behalf and asked him to look after us. What a lovely man and a real asset to this hotel! Overall, I would highly recommend this hotel for budget friendly stay in LA.
parking is extra and a bit tricky but other than that 5 stars for everything else
The staff were very friendly and helpful. The rooms were ok but in need of a refurb! The sheets on the bed were more grey than white! The breakfast was very good and the lady who made your toast etc was very friendly and helpful!
Located in a quite safe street in the BEST location in Hollywood close to transport and Hollywood walk of Fame
Staff was great
Amazing Staff, like really awesome staff, large rooms, great location. Older building, but clean. Parking extremely limited but the staff will accommodate that by shuffling cars around so you don't have to figure it out yourself.
We will stay here from now on when in Los Angeles for concerts & events! Walking distance to many restaurants & bars. Cute & charming, very comfortable & great staff! Highly recommend staying here! Best value.
This is an older boutique hotel steps from Hollywood Blvd. The staff is the highlight -- extremely courteous and helpful! The common areas and our room felt clean, although we did find a previous guest's face cream on the floor. The complimentary breakfast featured waffles, cereal, bagels, toast etc., and was a nice way to begin the day. The parking situation is a little tight, but the staff do an excellent job of managing this. We were able to leave our car parked past our check-out time which was appreciated!
Can be a little noisy from road traffic. Large rooms. Conveniently located and within a few minutes walk of Hollywood Boulevard. Staff very helpful and accommodation. Good breakfast options
This was my second time staying at Hollywood Celebrity Hotel and both have been fantastic. The front desk staff are very friendly and knowledgeable of the area. We had a small issue with our oven but they were very helpful and quick to resolve the problem. The property is located walking distance to target and cvs for food, right by the metro/subway and the Hollywood walk of fame/ TLC Chinese Theatre. Beds were very comfortable. Will be staying there again next time I visit the area
convenient on transportation and roaming around the city, staff are excellent. Highly recommended.
Everything about our stay was excellent
Clean property close to Hollywood.
The staff was incredible. Extremely welcoming, hospitable, kind, and accommodating. The property is a little dated, but the cleanliness, staff, and presentation gives it charm and balance.
Stellar Location, Outstanding Staff
We recently spent five nights at the Hollywood Celebrity Hotel and had a truly delightful experience. The location is unbeatable—no car needed! There were many Hollywood sites within walking distance and convenient transportation, making our trip incredibly convenient. The hotel’s charm was one of the highlights for us. It has that kitschy, nostalgic vibe you might find in a classic Route 66 motel. The interior is decorated with vintage Hollywood posters, and the lime-green decor transports you to another era. The location could hardly be better. While there are other hotels within waking distance of the sites we wanted, many of them looked quite sketchy. You don’t have to cross a single street to reach key Hollywood locations or the nearby bus and metro lines. The staff were exceptional throughout our stay. Alvin, the concierge, was a joy to interact with—always ready with a smile. The breakfast staff and housekeeping were also fantastic. We were especially impressed with Mr. Ifti, the owner of the private taxi the hotel recommended. His service was more affordable than Uber, and he even picked us up after a midnight show. It’s clear that the hotel could use a refresh in some areas, but everything was very clean and fully functional, so we didn’t mind at all. If you appreciate a place with charm, history, and personality—this hotel delivers in spades. If you’re looking for a centrally located hotel with fantastic service and unique charm, this is the place to stay.
The area around the hotel was pretty dirty but the hotel is nice and clean. We enjoyed our 2 night stay.
The service was awesome.
We recently stayed at this hotel for 2 nights with our 3 small children. Our room had 2 queen beds and a roll-away bed, and all of us slept well. Despite the hotel's age, our room was clean and the beds were comfortable. The air conditioning worked well, and the kitchenette was a useful feature. While the parking lot was full when we arrived late, the front desk offered to park our car for us. The hotel's location is convenient to the Hollywood Walk of Fame, with a shortcut to the mall. Overall, we had a great stay and felt that it was great value.
The hotel was clean, property is showing some age, need fresh painting. The breakfast is lacking quality.
Old fashion hotel with older features. But the best part is the old tradition of friendly service. All of the staff from the front desk to the maids and the woman who serves the breakfast area. All were smiling and friendly. The people staying there all seems to appreciate the service as well. We would stay there again.
If you know Harry Potter, this property is the magic tent in the Goblet of Fire movie. The outside was kinda basic but boy oh boy, inside the rooms were huge, spotless and the staff were just amazing! It’s right next to Hollywood Walk of Fame and we were so happy with the location and everything about this place. Will recommend to everyone who would remotely mention Los Angeles. Thank you for a wonderful stay!
A/C is very loud. Staff is very friendly.
Nous avons apprécié notre sejour. Personnel tres courtois. Service no 1. Aurait besoin d un peu de renos par contre.
We wanted to stay overnight somewhere that was walkable to the Hollywood Bowl but didn't break the bank. Celebrity Hotel was so awesome! Parking is extra and was only $16.75, the cheapest we found of all the hotels in the area. The $200/night was super fair, it's a beautiful old art deco building, the AC in the room worked great! The room was clean, the bed was comfy and had nice white sheets and fluffy pillows. The woman serving breakfast was so sweet, she even toasted my bagel for me. All the staff were friendly and seemed like family. Some of the guests knew them by name so they must get repeat customers. A hidden gem, I almost don't want anyone to know about it! We will be staying there from now on anytime we want to see a show and not drive home super late at night. So many fun places to walk to, we saw a ton of Walk of Fame stars on the sidewalk on the way to the Powerhouse bar. Lots of shops and restaurants around. Lovely hotel and lovely people, 5 stars!
The staff was very friendly and professional. Hotel is very clean.
The hotel is in the safest area around Hollywood Blv, the staff is very friendly and have also recommended me places to go , and the room is clean and spacious which is a plus
Great little secret tucked behind the walk of fame. Family run and very well maintained property with plenty of unique character and old world charm. Would book again in a heartbeat.
Easy Recommendation!
Easy to check-in / out, parking is $16.50 a night which is the lowest I've ever had in the area and the lot is locked up overnight, hotel + room was very clean and had a table, large mini fridge, AC, king bed, vanity with lights, closet, dresser, and full bathroom. Staff was very pleasant. Quiet spot in the chaos that Hollywood can be. Hotel has an awesome vibe to it as well. Highly recommend.
Great little hotel in the middle of Hollywood
Wasn't sure what to expect, but was really pleasantly surprised. Location is great, they do offer parking (extra charge, but worth it). Room was a nice suite - two bedrooms, bathroom, kitchenette, makeup room. Service was friendly and room was clean. Kitchenette was really useful.
It had the feel of an old Hollywood building being converted into a hotel period he got the feeling celebrities had stayed there but it was simplistic in its design period the staff was very nice for the most part but the parking was a bit of a pain as you had to have your car valid into the back and it was very difficult to pull out because it was very narrow.
Hotel is old but well maintained the rooms are clean and spacious. The personal are very polite and attentive to your needs. What i didn't like was the parking. If you drive a big truck or SUV don't recommend this place. Parking spots are limited and no space to turn around. You drive in and to exit you must drive in reverse to incoming traffic on a busy boulevard. I had to drive around for more than 30 minutes waiting for a parking spot to be available and they dont really have any alternatives. Rooms are decent just the parking is a big issue for that reason i wouldn't stay there again.
Awesome service and great location
Very nice and centrally located.
It was a two bedroom suite. Lots of space,!!
Staff very friendly and helpful. No elevators. Parking was not free.
It would be better if the stove were working. Needs coffee maker and an elevator. It’s hard to be on the second floor when you have to haul luggage using the stairs.
.
It was great
Great location!
Great location
Good location, easy access to metro and hollywood. Hotel is rather noisy, all room doors lead to a shared hall and you can hear everyone walking behind youe door.
Very nice place to stay
I definitely would stay here again, our room was large, had a nook with a small refrigerator and 2 person dining table, and closet area off the bathroom with a vanity table. It was very clean. The king bed was really comfortable and we slept well. Check in was quick and the staff were all so nice and friendly. It was within walking distance to Hollywood Blvd and an open air shopping mall. We had lunch there at Dave & Busters, there's also a sushi place, a place to grab coffee and a California Pizza Kitchen.
Clean and spacious room The lady at the breakfast area was very friendly. Walking distance to the Walk of Fame and other attractions. Will definitely stay again.
Just close to stores. But to laud
Location was amazing, everything else was poor. The rooms were very old and while the very sweet woman that managed “breakfast” the coffee was bad and there was option of bagel, bread or waffle that she made for you. The parking lot is so small and our room was literally off the lobby where people sat to eat breakfast. We opened our door and heads literally turned from their tables to see inside our room.
Nice, clean, but not modern.
Clean, comfortable room. Old school kind of place, not bad, just not modern. Staff was great and friendly. Breakfast was good.
Little chick hotel, close to Hollywood blvd. Nice area
The location is great
Hotel was clean there was a little pee smell outside on the concrete but other than that it was a stay again

Perfect location, even during an evacuation
We just stayed here and during the end of our stay, The Sunset Fire happened. I want thank the member of the staff who made sure my son and I had masks before we headed out Wednesday morning. I want to thank the staff member who arranged a private car for us so we could get to the Burbank Airport when Uber wasn’t running in our area. I want to thank Mr. Ifti for being our private driver and getting us safely to the airport. (No need to use an app, just contact him!) This is the most perfect location for a hotel in Hollywood. Aside from the Sunset Fire, it is such a convenient location. It’s a little rundown, but has a lot of art deco charm. It’s budget friendly in price, but again, the location and staff can’t be beat! I cannot thank the staff enough. We hope to return. Stay safe, everyone! And thank you!
