Very nice

parking expensive and noisy room

The perfect stay for your SFO getaway.

One of my favorite places to stay in San Francisco close to Japan town, China town & even union Square, it might have been a lil cold and muggy but me and the kiddo loved the heated pool, the chocolate croissants are sooo dreamy! 15% off if your an IHG member will definitely be coming back nxt time we’re in town.

Conveniently located close to CBD and other tourist locations. Well presented and spacious room.

They charge you $49 a night to leave your car in the parking garage which most hotels include free parking while you’re staying there just a heads up .

Overall great hotel, experience, and amazing price for 3 nights. Also really enjoyed the location. It was also very clean and we loved that. The water pressure in the shower was just slow and not the best. And last, the bed in our opinion was hard and due to that reason we just did not get great sleep.

My boyfriend and I had a wonderful stay at Holiday Inn Gateway. The room we were given was comfortable and well-maintained, offering everything we needed for a relaxing stay. The staff were incredibly friendly and helpful, making sure we had everything we needed throughout our visit. I truly appreciated their attention to detail and willingness to assist with any questions or requests. Overall, a fantastic experience, and I would definitely recommend this hotel to others looking for a pleasant and welcoming place to stay.

Surprised with $50 a night parking fee and no complimentary coffee downstairs then we where n bed early Saturday morning the had a fire alarm tell us exit stirs its a fire 17 floors later and chaos after waiting outside for 10min went n and asked and the lady said o false alarm but no one announced that very sad to see very old people coming down 14 flights of stairs because there was no curtisoy to say false alarm even 30 min after still no announcement n the lady had a attitude…

San Francisco stay

Good location , 2 cable cars to Fisherman’s wharf. Close to other little restaurants and bars.

Clean, comfortable, safe stay

Checkin was easy. We paid for parking at the front desk. Rooms were clean and basic. Bathroom fan wasn’t able to keep up with typical shower moisture. Beds were very comfortable. We stayed in room 1516 with a view of the city over the pool. Our housekeeper Xion was fantastic. She was very attentive, helpful and kind. The breakfast buffet seemed a bit pricey but was very convenient. It had a lot of variety, was immaculate, and the servers were very attentive. The buffet food was a bit dried out but we arrived at 10:00 am which is 30 minutes from closing. Parking felt very secure and the security in the lobby made us feel safe.

Thank you for the hospitality at this stay! The staff that checked me in were friendly and efficient. My room was very clean and maintained well.

Clean and satisfied

We were visiting SF for a vacation and chose to stay here. Nice central location in a safe area. Walkable or close to public transport. Rooms were clean and no issues. I do wish they had smart TVs like most hotels do these days

The location is very convenient. It’s centrally located from all the spots that SF has to offer. We also added parking and that make going in/out of the hotel a breeze.

No hot water or working tv.

This was our first time staying at this hotel and we were put in a room next to the elevator which was noisy when in use. We stayed one night so did not make a fuss over it. Otherwise, it was nice.

My family enjoyed there stay here. Greeted by the staff when we arrived, check-in was a breeze. We will be back soon.

This was a great hotel room with a beautiful view of the city. Everything was clean and nicely lit up. It is a great location to be able to walk to convenient stores and great restaurants! Definitely will be my go to hotel when traveling to San Francisco in the future!

Great location, parking in site was easy to access, check in was super easy. Exactly as pictured, parking was a little on the pricey side but other than that no complaints.

The property was really close to public transportation, while also still having available on site parking. This was convenient as it allowed the ability to explore San Francisco without having to use a car!

The property is well managed and very clean, staff is attentive and pleasant. I have stayed here in the past to visit family, and would stay again. Parking has been upgraded and additional safety measures put in place. I was especially impressed by the cleaning staff our floor was well managed. The view was amazing we were on the 15th floor facing east. Would suggest asking for a view.

No hassle whatsoever. Would definitely rebook.

I very happy for location and secure , restaurant and 24 hours room service, easy transportation like uber and restaurants in the facility, many areas to receive visitors if you want , ttader joes only 2 blocks away and many restaurants around for breakfast, thanks holiday's inn , i coming back next time

There was an issue with check in and HIG incorrectly checked in under wrong name. Later changed me as a no-show. Said they would not issue a credit because “ I used a third party billing “. If I had booked direct through HIG they would have considered working with me.

Check-in was a terrible experience. We were ignored for 5 minutes even though there were 3 people at the desk and no one else in line. We were given perhaps the worst room in the hotel (bottom floor, 2 full sized beds). The property is clean and is in an okay location but is definitely less than 3 stars, especially given the way the staff treats the guests.

This is so far the best hotel we stayed in. It was our honeymoon and I couldn’t even imagine that a hotel can be this cozy, romantic, clean. The staff is so amazing and helpful, friendly and respectful! The housekeeping staff is beyond great! The room was cleaned and the bedding was changed every single day! If I could leave 10 star review, I totally would! Highly recommend!!!

We enjoyed our spacious room and the convenient location of this hotel. There are several good public transport options nearby which made getting around the city easy.

Comfy stay

Great location, friendly staff, and a clean room, but the room itself was a little well worn and in need of updating.

Room was clean, bed was comfortable. There were plenty of towels set in the bathroom. AC worked great, tv unfortunately does not let you connect to Netflix but is good quality.

Will definitely return again.

Great stay during my mom’s admission to UCSF hospital for cancer treatment.

Clean, had a restaurant and bar. Safe parking!

I was very disappointed with the room. I was right next to the elevators and you could hear them all night long. Could even hear the bars/weights clanging together. Talked to the receptionist and mentioned these areas of concern and she just said sorry. Not thank you for staying with us or anything.

We had a corner king suite - tight quarters but great view of the city. Nothing exceptional, nothing horrible - we were overall happy with the stay, the price, the location.

Very rude staff. Only 2 were kind.

Great mid priced room for a quick stay

Overall really good. No complaints. We checked in after midnight. Drop off area just outside felt safe and was clean. This area is not the greatest but right out front was fine. We didn't use any of the amenities since it was a 2 night trip. The only dated thing in the room was the carpet which was very ok since it wasn't an expensive stay. But it was very clean.

There was a discrepancy with deposit fees that was not mentioned in the hotel listing, compared to every other property. It came as a surprise to me and I felt a bit deceived as I'm coming from a country that only gives me a certain amount of USD limit per month and I have to put in a request to raise that limit. Had I known this, I would've gone with a hotel that gives free breakfast that also takes out deposit fees. It's not worth it for no breakfast. I almost ran out of USD to spend in my credit card. You all need to update that on your property listing re: safety deposit fees. It was also a bit inconveniencing to have to go down to the lower level lobby to use the microwave, because the rooms did not have one. I wish there was a microwave for personal use in the guest rooms. Also, the outdoor pool could be a bit more heated as SF is quite a windy place and that makes it cold. There is hardly ventilation in the bathroom area, and the towels remained damped for days and the water condensed everywhere after showering. Overall, besides what was mentioned, I enjoyed my stay as the hotel is in close proximity to convenience. The bed was comfortable and the cleaning staff was extremely pleasant and helpful. The city view is impeccable. Would I stay at this hotel again? Sure - BUT, only if the safety deposit fees are added to the property's listing description.

The staff was lovely and lended us a vacuum to use for our vacuum seal bags, although there were some stains scattered around the hotel. But other than that our stay was great and very close to the venue we were going to.

Great place to stay near union square and Japan town, pool is also heated! Me and kiddo lovd it! Breakfast is $35 per person doe?? Lol

San Francisco, always the City!

A great hotel and people with a seriously questionable policy of security (or lack thereof) in their guest garage. Overall, staff is very good and so is the hotel. The stay was colored by our car being vandalized in their garage, as was another car about 6 spaces away from ours.

Convenient location with a lot restaurants and fast food options near by, right next to whole foods which was perfect! Public transit located near by. Rooms were clean and hotel was well maintained. Defiantly recommend.

It was a nice hotel but i didn't know it was $100 per night for the security deposit, it ended up costing me $400 for the security deposit. That was the only negative thing about the hotel.

My first room was by the elevators and it meant the room was really noisy. The staff did a good job of moving me when they could, but it's not really something that one should have to look out for when checking in.

I didnh have car so can’t say about parking. Many walkable bus stops to enjoy local transport . We are premium members so got top floor and rooms have awesome downtown view. They provide daily housekeeping which many hotels do not offer anymore now so found it a plus point! Overall highly recommended! Thanks

My stay could have been excellent if a couple of front desk clerks were more customer friendly. When we brought up a problem with our room, a female receptionist had an attitude and she needs to be retrained to be in that position. And another male receptionist also was not friendly either. We felt as if we were taking to a robot.

We had a beautiful city view!

I had to leave a day early on business after being there a week. I asked if I could cancel the last day. The lady at the front desk told me there is nothing she could do since it was through a third party. I contacted Expedia, they said they would reach out and see what could be done. Once they got ahold of holiday inn The lady wouldn’t work with them at all and gave them the run around. So pretty much screwed me on purpose and lied as if it was Expedia’s fault. Was very rude aswell. Also the parking is 55$ a night and there is no parking anywhere around the area. I’ve seen more parking in New York
