Nice staff. Room was clean and good size. Breakfast was included and it was pretty good.

This was a lovely place to stay. Staff were incredibly helpful and kind. Room was great! Very spacious. Bed was comfy. We stayed 4 days Convenient to bus that took us straight to station. 10/10 from me for sure

Nice and clean

During my recent stay at the Holiday Inn Express in Utrecht, I found the experience to be quite pleasant overall. Pros: - Clean and Comfortable Rooms: The accommodations were well-maintained, featuring comfortable beds and modern amenities, including a good shower and free internet access. - Friendly Staff: The reception team was welcoming and eager to assist, enhancing the overall experience. - Convenient Amenities: The hotel offers bike rentals, which is a great way to explore the area. However, one notable drawback was the lack of outdoor seating areas for guests. While the interior of the hotel was inviting, it would have been nice to have designated spaces outside where guests could relax or smoke. This absence made it difficult for those who enjoy spending time outdoors or need a place to unwind outside of their rooms. In summary, while the Holiday Inn Express Utrecht provided a solid stay with its modern facilities and attentive service, incorporating outdoor seating areas would significantly enhance the guest experience.

This hotel, while somewhat out of the way, was still fairly convenient with the bus stop right near by. The staff were all very pleasant and helpful, but we found the temperature in the room would go from too hot to too cold. But other than that, it was a pleasant stay and I’d stay there again.

Safe space and nice hotel but the location is far, some buses are not working after 6/7 PM and you end up with few options in terms of transportation.

The hotel is in the business area. Doesn’t have AC.

This charming 3 star hotel was a delight. It is off the beaten track, but the charm is in the seclusion and the peaceful surroundings. However, pedestrians are well catered for by buses which are a short walk from the hotel. Utrecht Center and the Railway station can be reached in around 10 to 12 minutes. The room was small - but adequate for a single person. Very quiet and very clean - as were the corridors. The bed was sumptuous, and the towels and linen were spotless. Shower and bathroom were immaculate. Larger individuals will have no trouble moving around in the shower as it was very spacious. The shower floor can be very - very slippery when wet - alleviated by standing on a towel. The room did feature a kettle, but was without a fridge. Staff were pleasant and attentive. Windows were fixed - with a narrow side panel which can be opened to let in fresh air. However, the room temperature can be regulated. I had a wonderful two night stay here.

There's no USB sockets in the room, an no plug socket at all on one side of the bed. On coffee tray there is four packets of coffee and only two packets of dried milk

Nice hotel around the Papendrop area of Uterecht. Has good public (bus) transport to Uterecht centrum. Breakfast could do with some additional choices. They do have a restaurant but if you get in late they can rustle up a decent hot pizza in the bar area.

Great hotel but hot!!

Everything was really good except the building was very hot, except the corridors which were cool. Need to get the A/C right or get some fans.

All good on this visit to Utrecht

This is a great hotel, always clean and friendly. Easy parking and easy bus to the centre of Utrecht. Only strange thing is that the handsoap in the bathrooms smells of mint&parsley and the shampoo smells of sage. Probably best to bring your own; I smell like a herb garden this AM.

Excellent stay

As always I found the hotel met my needs very well & the staff very helpful (this was my 8th stay since 2018), the stay was made extra special this time due to the availability of an evening menu which was good quality food.

We stayed in the wheelchair access room. It was behind the check in desk. I worried it would be noisy. It was very comfortable and quiet.

It was fine. The hotel is a little far out of the city but this is reflected in the price comapred with elsewhere in Utrecht. The email before the stay was very helpful in providing background information for my stay.

This the seventh time I have stayed in this hotel & see no reason not to stay again as the location suits me & my friend who picks me up in the morning, the free breakfast sets me up for the day to come, the rooms are comfortable & spacious.

While the room itself was fine, every night when we tried to have a meal at the restaurant, we were told that only 3 of the 4 of us could have something from the menu, while the 4th person could only have a pizza. I could understand if the restaurant was full but as we were the only people in there it was disappointing as we wanted to eat as a group, so we ended up going out to eat 6 of the 8 nights we stayed there. When your paying nearly £1000 to stay somewhere you expect to be able to use the restaurant.

No air conditioning. Also, when I had a change in travel plans, they were unwilling to provide a credit for the last night.

My totally needs met hotel

I've stayed here several times & my needs are always met, the staff are friendly & helpful, the rooms are comfortable & pleasant to stay in, the free breakfast really sets me up for the day.

Standard basic Holiday Inn Express hotel, on a modern building but with basic amenities. Overall everything seemed cheaply made and there wasn't much attention to detail. The mattress was far from being the most comfortable, the tv remote didn't work, the room carpet had some stains on it, the ceiling had some marks of water ingress and the breakfast was quite limited in variety and quality. The staff seemed friendly enough but as whole it was expensive for what it offered and even more being at a remote, out of town, location.

All was ok

Staff on reception were very good. Strangely we did not see any charge points for the car in the car park.

The gentleman that helped me was very courteous and helpful.

Modern hotel, near a motorway. Rooms are spacious and comfortable, although the mattress is a bit too soft. Staff is very friendly and helpful. We stayed for 3 nights and really enjoyed it. The only thing we didn't.like was the breakfast situation. The packs they give you due.to.current coronavirus restrictions offer limited choice and are hardly filling. The contents also varies from.one day to.the other. Also,.not much in the way of amenities nearby. Nearest supermarket is about a kilometre away. Would recommend though, good budget option, especially if traveling by car.

Really good hotel, pleasant staff

Good service, we needed to be at Schiphol quite early and breakfast was made available to us at 06:30

Quiet and comfortable - just what we needed after several quaint but very old boutique hotels. We needed A/C, comfortable beds and blackout drapes and Holiday Inn delivered. In the business district but a 5 - 10 minute tram to central squares and canals in Utrecht. If you want a good night sleep and a quiet escape from the all night fun of the central area this hotel is ideal.

Good, clean professional hotel

I have stayed twice at this hotel and it has been a good experience each time. The check-in was fast and efficient pleasant, and the check-out (by Dorien) was also fast, efficient and pleasant.

Beds need harder, newer mattresses

Good overall experience. The only complaint I have is about the bed - too soft! My husband and I were constantly rolling towards the center of the bed during the night. It was like a hole trying to eat us up... 😉 On top of that, it hurt my back. Although the hotel is located a bit outside of the city, a seven-minute ride by bus was all it took to get us to the towncenter. There are three buses that stop 100 meters from the hotel. Very convenient. Saved a lot of money by staying here as hotel prices in Utrecht are pretty spicy. Would stay here in a heart beat if they changed the mattresses.

Nice, clean and comfortable

Nice and clean. Comfortable. A dcenet choice of breakfast too. 8 mins drive to the exhibition centre and further 3 mins walk to a busy Turkish resturants. Local areas is very clean and somewhat scenery and calm atmosphere.

Papendorf

Very poor selection of food on Saturday night and weekdays a very limited memo. This hotel really only suitable for B& B.

My room was good. The staff was very nice. This hotel serves a continental breakfast, a similar type lunch but with a salad and hot soup and then various items are available in the evening for dinner. The food was good. The location was a little out of the way but within walking distance of a major bus stop.

They had no fresh coffee for breakfast and there is not enough milk, coffee etc in the room for 2 people, had to keep asking for more milk etc... Apart from that lovely hotel.

Not recommended

Very rude stuff. I have some problems with reservation with refund but was not resolved neither by hotel stuff neither by hotels.com so I payed twice for that room. Very bad ! The pillows where not fresh and towells the same. And air conditional made a lot of noises during the night.

Very helpful staff, extremely friendly! cozy chill-out area, plenty of parking lots. Has a lot more to offer than the general Holiday Inn Express hotels I stayed at. They make you a late night pizza in-house :-) Lotte is the the sweetest front desk employee I have met in a long while! Thanks for all the help and support!

A night away

Awesome hotel for the price. Room was clean and the bathroom was excellent. It was very easy to get to. The staff were very helpful also.

Good value for a stopover

The hotel is very close to the P&R. 8 min walk. 4 min drive. It's also close to Utrecht centre about 13 min drive. Parking is available by the shopping centre and station. It cost us 50 cents per 9 minutes. Really good when dropping someone off. Nothing much in the hotel itself. Good for a short stay to visit the town.

Good hotel but not great for town

Went to see my son who is working in Utrecht. The hotel itself is pleasant and staff are excellent. The problem is that it's a long way from town. Taxi costs seem high though there's a bus stop nearby with regular service. Careful though some buses do not accept cash some do not accept card payments - and these too are more expensive than at home.

Good place to stay driving through.

Located in business park. No restaurants or sites nearby. Bus stop close by to center. Restaurant on site, food good. New facility - modern, clean, quiet.

Great hotel

The room cleaning had some trouble with giving the correct amount of towels. Sometimes we only had 1 towel for 2 people. For the rest everything was great. Good breakfast and very friendly staff. We were too early to get into our room but the assistent manager made sure we could in.when we needed a taxi we only had to tell them what day and what time and the taxi was booked. We had a great vacation there. Would certainly go back.

If this hotel had a restaurant it would be spot on! €16 for a taxi for 2.3 miles to train station is a joke and as we were working in centre of town it was to far out!! But apart from that good clean hotel with friendly staff and a 24hr bar and free breakfast.

Cold room

The bedroom was cold in arrival, and dispite turning the heat up did not seem to work. The room was otherwise nice, but the pillows hard. The window in the room was difficult to operate and would not close at first. The dinner at the hotel was disappointing. The special was half a courgette with sauce and meat. It was nice but rather small portion for the cost.

Had one night stay here. Worst part of the stay was the restaurant not being open Friday or Saturday. Ended up with overpriced pizza and panini.. Everything else was ok though.

Very helpful staff and very comfortable hotel.

The pillows are wonderful as was the breakfast. The staff were very helpful in directing to get buses to central station, which is only 10 min away. Watching the geese and the ducks, and the building were relaxing.

Great hotel and stay. Very clean and new with friendly and helpful staff. The location is the only little let down, if you are a tourist with no car you will need to use taxi's or walk to public transport. If you're on a business trip its perfect.

Short stay.

I would like to say thank you to all staff at this hotel for the excellent hospitality. It's a very simple and modern hotel and the breakfast was really good. Parking area and amenities are very good. Will be back again for sure.

Quiet restful stay

Very close to main routes- the area was quiet and we'll maintained. Lovely riverside walk possible. Would nearest rated it higher if coffees had been better priced and staff had responded better to local info requests.

Staff incredibly helpful

Patrick at the hotel was just incredibly helpful, made great suggestions about things to do in the area, and went out of his way to give us direction and make special arrangements for us. I was so impressed with him.

Nice Business Hotel

I stayed 3-4 times every year. I was happy every time. Quite, clean, confortable hotel. Only if you have not car maybe problem to reach to city center. Area very nice in cannels, very nice walking places. Breakfast good.

Perfect choice in all aspects

Perfect choice of hotel in an business park which was so quiet and peaceful at night, the hotel and staff were extremely pleasant and helpful - free breakfast more than ample choice and quality - free parking always a plus and to top it a free shuttle bus to and back from Utrecht centre - what more could you ask for! If shuttle bus times weren't suitable the bus to city centre was visible from the hotel and ran often - even over the Easter weekend - couldn't have wished for a better choice!

Nice stay

It was good and directly connected to the highway, I could very easily get to the amsterdam RAI in just 20-25 minutes

This hotel was such a relief after days of traveling over Netherlands and staying in “standard European” hotels, in which cold and tiny rooms, absence of kettle and rude staff is a norm. We love Holiday Inn Express! Their network seems to be the only good hotels in Netherlands. Staying here was a very comfortable and relaxing experience. Highly recommend Holiday Inn Express hotels for travelers to Netherlands.
