Brilliant
Palma weekend
Great location and extremely efficient reception staff. Not too sure about interior design but that’s down to personal taste.
Nada que decir
Dark Halloween
The location was pretty good. But the hotel it self was very weird. Everything was BLACK and DARK. Scary statues in the dark hallways and just in general seemed like a halloween theme hotel. The hallway carpets were black and dirty. Overall was an ok stay.
Lovely hotel in a perfect position
The hotel is in a perfect position in the centre for the Cathedral Palace and sea all within ten minutes walk. The bus station and Soller train station less than fifteen minutes walk and the bus stop to and from the airport outside the hotel. The hotel rooms were a decent size with a nice balcony. Rooms were clean and staff very helpful. We had a super long weekend
Pleasant staff.
Very convenient for shopping and travel also staff is very friendly and efficient
All was perfect. I would recomand this hotel
The overall hotel is very nice. The area was perfect! We were within walking distance of many local attractions. The rooms need some updating, but it is an old building, so it’s to be expected.
Great place to stay
Room next to mine was under renovation. Noise was constant during the day and workers smoke in balcony and I got the smell in my room if I open my window.
Location is great. Walking to distance to shopping, the water and lots of restaurants.
Great place
Would stay here again.
Great location, modern property, helpful staff. Would definately stay here again.
Great Hotel for a Night in Palma
I really enjoyed my one-night stay at the HM Jaime III Hotel in Palma. The staff that I dealt with were all friendly and helpful, the room was quite large, bed was comfortable, and came with a fridge stocked with drinks for free. The restaurant next door (which is associated with the hotel) was convenient and the food and drinks were good. Location was perfect - walking distance to lots of shopping and sightseeing. The only negatives were the noise (lots of banging noises throughout the night - not sure what they were but kept waking me up) and the parking. The parking was a nightmare! Through other reviews I had determined that you could either park on the street for free (impossible on a Saturday) or park in a paid garage "across the street" - I should have asked the hotel instead because "across the street" is like a mile walk away at another hotel. So I parked in a garage actually across the street, had to then move my car, go to this other hotel which also has no parking outside, you are required to go in and get the ticket to get into the garage and since there's no parking outside I literally pulled my car onto the sidewalk to go in and get the ticket, then I had to drive around to go into the garage. Between driving around looking for the garage before checking in & then having to move to the actual garage hours of my day were wasted on the last day of my vacation. My advice: contact the hotel in advance if you need to park. Now knowing that I would stay there again
Hotel needs refurbishing!
Hotel Jaime III is well located in Palma and is comfortable enough. However it’s very, very tired and in need of a refurbishment. Dirty and stained carpets, broken and cracked bathroom tiles, curtains hanging loose were all signs of a hotel that has seen better days. All staff were friendly and helpful. The breakfast is good but nothing special but acceptable for the price.
Good for short stay.
We stayed for one night. The hotel is outdated compared to other four star hotels in the area. Room was clean.
This hotel is situated in a perfect spot and has very nice staff. What it hasn't is so many details that can make your stay excellent or just average (clearly the case of this hotel). For instance, just one lift for 10 floors is simply not enough. Or very unusual thing that you don't get handkerchiefs in the bathroom. Not to mention the state of the floors in common areas of the hotel. All in all value for money is dubious in this hotel.
Absolutely awful that there is only ONE LIFT. We were always queuing. This hotel has 9 floors. And conference facilities. It was a farce. Breakfast was very good and staff all friendly and helpful. The restaurant was more of a cafe than restaurant , and the menu of the day only applies at lunchtime, so a bit of a shame. The room was fine but a ‘city view’ It wasn’t. Our room had frosted glass in the windows to shield us from the view of the back of neighbouring apartments and their washing. Not sure this is 4*
Very nice hotel in great location
Very nice stay in this city centre hotel. Staff were super friendly and helpful.
Staff were friendly and helpful. The room had a terrible smell of drains which spoilt our stay. No other rooms available
Perfect
Awesome
Very good location, a lot af restaurants and stores around. no air conditioner in winter, elevator doesn’t work almost all the time.
The hotel was good but they had issues with the elevators for most of the days. We had to go up and down the stairs as the elevators were not working
Reaxing in Palma
Palma is a beautiful modern city with great restaurants. Hotel HM Jaime III was very clean and nice and close to old town for easy walking.
A good stay and the staff was kind
Excellent location!
Location very convenient. Property itself looking tired, eg sink in bathroom was badly cracked, hall carpets marked
Excellent value friendly hotel
Lovely comfortable hotel, close to the city centre. Excellent super friendly service
Just steps away from the bus from/to the airport. Close to everything. Spacious room.
Fabulous stay, lovely rooms and facilities and really helpful staff. The hotel is in a perfect position for walking and transport links.
It was very hot and humid. I did not like that you had to use the room card to power the room and air conditioning. After being out for several hours you return to a very hot room that takes a LONG TIME to cool down. I liked having a refrigerator in the room but it did not cool very well at all. It didn't cool beer enough.
Hotel needs to put more into the property
Hotel had a problem with air conditioning which affected three nights of our stay. Additionally, mini fridge did not cool at all. Finally, after three nights, the hotel fixed the air conditioning problem but only gives customers an apology for the inconvenience of having no air conditioning during some of the hottest days of the early season. For the price of the hotel, the in room amenities are pretty weak. Bathroom has nothing more really than a combo soap shampoo. No conditioner, no body lotion. Room condition was very tired. Wallpaper was warped and peeling. Furniture was showing clear signs that it need to be updated. On the plus side, the location is good. Breakfast was okay but even there during our six night stay, the availability of items was very inconsistent. Some days there were two flavors of yogurt. Some days only one. Some days there were multiple varieties of bread. Other days there was nothing more than a basic bread. Did have some decent front desk help with questions about the city. Overall, just the feeling that the hotel is not worth the price they charge. They need to put more money into the hotel to upgrade the quality to match the price. And when tangible amenities like air conditioning breakdown a hotel has to find a way to do more than just apologize to a customer. There needs to be some tangible gesture for the lost value of what the customers paid for.
Nice hotel in a very good location with plenty of bars and restaurants
This hotel is close to the major sites without being in the actual busy tourist area. It is quiet and there is a public parking lot right outside which was very convenient for us
A weekend in Palma
The service and location were perfect. The rooms were large and the beds were very comfortable.
Rooms at the rear have such bad views that the glass in the window is smoked. Some of the furniture is getting on a bit but the bathrooms are good and the staff are helpful and friendly. Fantastic location with airport bus right at the door.
Very friendly staff
Lovely hotel perfect location for enjoying palma bonus of a lovely breakfast hot and cold buffet
Three Kings and Shopping trip
Lovely central location excellent staff only negative was the Spa. Old equipment not working properly and both showers around the plunge pool not working.
Convenient location, flexible management and friendly services.
First Class A+
A really lovely place with very friendly and helpful staff .. Once again , many thanks to everyone and we look forward to our next visit. 👏👏👏
City break this hotel s in a great central location
Overall - Average
It was just ok. Had to upgrade as the allotted room was dark and noisey at the front of the hotel. 2nd room was much better thanks to one if the Receptionists, who was the star of the hotel. Good central location but not much space to relax.
Be careful when you request a room. Our room faced some disheveled apartments and the room wasn’t that comfortable. Air conditioning was hard to manage. It was either too warm or too cold. We had the strangest piece of artwork directly in front of our door that was in the way especially when moving luggage. Lights in the hallway did not go on when you left the elevator. You had to had to take a few steps in the dark before they went on.
Great location
Great location , nice hotel , a little tired. But fab room and balcony , gorgeous views. For us the let down was the breakfast It was just too crowded, ran out of plates, dishes, glasses juice etc etc. A bit disappointing.
Lovely place to stay and great staff. The rooms could do with a little updating
Excellent hotel
Hotel was nice and clean in the center of Palma. We were able to walk to all the parts of old town / harbor and Santa Catalina district. The front desk was helpful to arrange taxis / decipher bus schedule / directions. The room was small ( small bathroom ) but our large balcony made up for it
Nice but noisy!
Nice hotel but very noisy at night with people having parties in bedrooms. We had a family room and we’re working at 02:00 by noisy neighbors who seemed to have been jumping off their beds. Check in was slow but staff friendly
Good location with access to transportation and services. Breakfast was good but the same every day and did not offer meat that wasn’t pork.
USA again behind on energy conservation
The only wrinkle was my fault. To turn on the electricity one must put the room key in a special slot. It took me a while to figure this out. It makes great ecological sense to have no power in the room when it’s empty, but it was new to me.
This hotel didn’t really meet the expectations
Our stay wasn’t as expected. We were looking for a hotel with a spa for the last night of the trip, but the spa was a disappointment. Very odd black hallways were a bit weird.
Superb Hotel in Palma
A wonderful hotel in an ideal location with the airport bus stopping right across the street. Fantastic breakfast and all the staff were very friendly and helpful. Strange black walls though with metal figurines in each corridor on most floors. Had two rooms throughout the stay due to two bookings as less people stayed the last night, but both rooms were spotless and rooms tidied every day. The only downside was no air con, it was warm enough in April, so will be sweltering in the summer. The reception told me what I thought was an air con system was actually a heater.
Disappointed
Asked several times for a jug of milk and this was ignored. Couldn’t be bothered to put coffee in the machine at breakfast even though they were asked many times and machine produced hot water and milk only. We asked them to phone and try to reserve a table at a tapas bar one evening and they said that they refused to do this and told us to turn up. All tables were reserved so struggled to find somewhere to eat. Staff gave the impression that they were fed up.
Great location. Friendly staff.
Lovely hotel
Great location. Close to all shops restaurants and walking distance to cathedral and the marina. Lovely little spa. Breakfast fantastic.
Short break
Excellent hotel. Finally 4 stars hotel which looks like 4 stars hotel and provides proper service. Very clean and comfortable room with all toiletries and equipment.
Short stay with friends
Centrally located with lots of restaurants and shops. A long weekend holiday with friends. The hotel is clean but needs to be updated. The staff were friendly and helpful.
Booked for one night before departure as the bus stop for the airport is outside the front door. Hotel location good for exploring Palma. Good breakfast buffet.
Lovely reception- quirky artwork. Location excellent- walkable to everything and bus stop to airport right outside. Breakfast buffet good- staff excellent.
Bit disappointed.
Decent hotel, modern so a bit weird especially the corridors being black with dresses at the end of corridors as art work. Bed was hard so not the best night sleep. Breakfast OK. Perfect for the bus from or 2 the airport so a 1 night stay buy you would find cheaper
Love the Future - Love the Hotel
This was my first stay at the HM Jaime III Hotel, although I am a frequent visitor to Palma. I will certainly be returning. The stay was fabulous from the welcome at the reception, right through to check out. The rooms are comfortable, spacious and clean. The breakfast was amazing, and the restaurant appeared to be popular. The location is perfect for shopping, transport and people watching too. Love it!
The Hotel is centrally located, nice ambiance and very friendly staff
Delightful.
Very comfortable, excellent locarion, friendly staff. Highly recommended
Thank you we had a nice stay at the Hotel.
All good!!! Great location and service plus the room was really big
Very pleasant stay. Excellent location. Very safe to walk around and explore. Staff are very helpful. Very impressed by safety and hygiene measures at the hotel. Reception staff were very helpful, especially Sebastian who helped me regarding a car booking issue. We were allowed early check in and late checkout due to our flights! That was very helpful indeed!
Comfortable bed, very small bathroom, no electric kettle in the room, and no tissue paper box.
Staff excellent. Really helpful after flight was cancelled and found us a room (upgraded).
This hotel is right in the center of Palma next to major attractions. We stayed in 3 different rooms (over 5 nights, due to room availability) and the rooms away from the street are much quieter. One night we had a room on the street and it was noisy until 1:30 am at night and was hard to sleep. So I suggest you avoid rooms close to the street, if possible. Negative/Complaint -- On our first day, we were checking-in and the lady named Mariana was almost nasty and she threw a fit because we had 4 reservations -- we gave her printed copies of the reservations -- she just did not even bother to look at them and then she threw a fit about our reservations and when we tried to offer clarifications (we are not native Spanish speakers). It took us ~30 minutes to check-in along with some insults thrown at us in Spanish from this rude woman. Positive -- So we avoided this woman and everyone else was very nice and we had a pleasant stay at this hotel. The hotel itself was nice. So overall I do rate this hotel high, even though one Mariana (at the reception desk) was rude to us.
Central location, very friendly helpful staff, large comfortable room and large bathroom. Good breakfast buffet although dining room a little congested at peak times. Kettle and drinks in room although no milk. The artwork and decor of hotel corridors is quirky.
Loved the location and the staff the only comment I have and it’s not a complaint the hot tub could be hotter
Location was good. Elevator inadequate and stairway lighting dangerous. Luggage left with front desk was not secured but left in open lobby. Tourists can be targets!
Great breakfast and front desk help in this freatnlocated hotel
excellent location, room, breakfast, and service recommended for all
Modern room, great bathroom and great location. Staff were very friendly and helpful
Property needs a face lift feels like a dungeon with all decor black
Great central location for Old Town, shopping and restaurants. Staff very helpful. Hotel room was clean, well finished and we had a great balcony to sit and view the city. Airport bus No 1 stops at the front door.
Magical and fun. Love the heat!!!
Staff very friendly. Quick check in with a free drink. Rooms nice and clean and very large comfy bed.
I highly recommend this hotel,staff,hotel,breakfast..amazing,i will go back again...
Family overnight stay
Great location with bus stop and walking to shops, comfortable and spacious triple room with free minibar drinks and toiletries, tasty wide variety for breakfast with speciality coffee. Check in no problems. Own restaurant with service on the sidewalk and inside. Disliked the black corridors to rooms which are scary and only light up with motion.
Very comfortable and modern hotel well situated in central Palma. 15 minutes walk to the cathedral; bus stop to/ from airport very near. Great breakfast. Helpful staff.
Front desk were really helpfull.Place was great.Love it.
Really liked the restaurant. Staff and service superb
Excellent stay and great location!
Excellent hotel; great location and wonderful breakfast
Exceeded expectations first class Will certainly return this hotel is in a perfect location as well
Great location in Palma with easy access to all major sites and waterfront. Funky art in lobby and each hallway was also very interesting .Breakfast buffet was included and was also very good. We enjoyed the street side patio for drinks after touring around the city sites.
Very friendly staff.Room very clean and comfortable.Complementary breakfast very good.
Like - location, breakfast and size and layout of rooms
Great location. Walking distance to wonderful restaurants and great shopping.
I didn’t like the room we were given and the furniture was very tatty & dated and the bed was very rickety
Modern and stylish. Clean and comfortable. Could have been better if the lights in the corridors were brighter.
Central City Hotel. Walking distance 15 mins to the main locations. Beautiful hotel.
We chose the hotel for its location and, although we didn’t actually use public transport in the end, it was close to bus stops, Passeig De Born, Ed Baluard Art Museum and wonderful cocktail bar. Room was comfortable, clean and spacious with a proper bathroom (not a flimsy glass door as seems to be increasingly common nowadays). Breakfast was good, mainly continental but plenty of choice and some hot food. The staff were helpful and professional, hotel decor unusual but stylish and new. No shabbiness here. Didn’t use the spa but it looked lovely.
Palma by night.
The hotel and staff were very welcoming.Room was very cosy.Free assortment of refreshments in mini bar👌I would like to see a better television service ie maybe a pay per view movie/sports channel.Breakfast was well supplied as a buffet hot and cold selection of local delicacies.Location is fantastic, out of lobby and straight on main strip of all the shops.
,Nice Hotel, good location, breakfast excellent, -
