We only stayed one evening. But our stay was great! Staff was very friendly and accommodating. Check in and out was great. The rooftop pool was nice, we just relaxed and took in the view of blue waters and beach. This place didn't seem as walkable to everywhere, you're tucked into a deadend road. But there were a few shops near by and restaurants if you wanted to leave the property. The area is safe. And with its location being tucked away a bit, it wasn't nearly as noisy as other places we stayed while visiting the D.R. We stayed during the week because it was closer to the airport for us. It gave the come with a book, grab a drink and relax vibes with plenty of lounge chairs both pool side and on the beach.

Last minute trip

This place is okay, as we are tired of the all inclusive experience. Some things seem tired, bathrooms very small. Restaurants always empty? Food was decent enough. Our biggest complaint of which we spoke to the front desk was state of the beach. All around the lounge chairs garbage day after day not cleaned/ raked, sifted. Quite gross - and promise to do the work never materialized. Overall an okay experience worthy of 3 stars.

The resort hotel was clean, very peaceful, and the dinner was good! But the breakfast was always cold….. but overall the room was very clean, Comfortable and very pretty!

Overall our stay was short but nice. Staff was very helpful. The area is noisy, lots of loud bars, karaokes and party people. Rain can also become a problem, as the street might become flooded and difficult for pedestrians.

Location is substandard for the cost, flooded area with minimal rain. With the amount of money coming in, it should not take much to improve the road and facilities around the hotels.

The staff was lovely and the breakfast delicious! We loved the rooftop pool area and the restaurant/bar on the roof, too. We had a relaxing and wonderful experience at the HM Bavaro Beach hotel and would recommend it to our friends and family. Thanks for a great holiday!

Amazing view and service

Very cosy and nice hotel on the beach. Security and kindness provided by the staff. Very good service. Amazing rooftop with infinity pool. Amazing breakfast with champagne ! They made My room before the scheduled official timing.

This property was great, the food is nasty except for the snacks from 11-6. They also forgot to give me wash clothes 2 nights. But overall good experience.

I liked the property because it is right on the ocean, very convenient for its price. The rooms are comfy and the staff very friendly. I would definitely want to go back.

Overall great stay! We arrived at the very rainy day and there was flooding around the street but that's more area issue. The hotel is beautiful, especially great when you get room with the ocean view. We loved the pool areas most! The beach chairs need update but we never used them because we walked on the beach and stayed on the balcony. The Sky bar is better than Italian restaurant. It was avarage, however nice service. Would stay again this hotel.

from the moment i arrived at the front desk for checkin the staff was there to make me feel welcome from the complimentary freshly-squeezed juice cocktail that i was handed to the champagne and fruit plate waiting for me in my room...great location, great room, great service = a great stay! the awesome rooftop sushi bar and infinity pool was where i spent the most time. the only minor blemish was the outdated shower hardware which needs replacement, otherwise and excellent value for travelers!

Relaxing Stay with Great Service and Breakfast

Our stay was truly enjoyable, thanks to the attentive staff and delicious breakfast that exceeded expectations each morning. We loved the intimate infinity pool and the serene adults-only pool areas, perfect for unwinding. The room itself was bright, comfortable, and featured a spacious balcony that we enjoyed. However, while the bathroom could use a bit of an update, it was generally clean. We did notice some hidden dust under the bed and furniture, which could be improved. The beach setup was a bit of a letdown, as it’s shared with a family hotel, so it didn’t feel completely adults-only, as we’d hoped. Despite these minor drawbacks, we had a wonderful time overall and would happily return for another stay!

The amount out cleaning this staff does is amazing! It was so clean they do a great job taking care of the property! The staff was very nice and accommodated our needs, as our AC stopped working both nights and the power went out everyday, and we got stuck in the elevator. I wish I had known that even though we stayed at an all adult hotel, they share the beach with the hotel across the street which kids are aloud to be on the beach so it didn’t really feel to much like adult only. The only other thing about the beach is there are a ton of boats right next to where you’re sitting, it didn’t bug us but I thought I would add it to the comment. The vendors outside your hotel and on the beach are constantly trying to get you to buy their product, or take the tours, it was actually so annoying by the last day I was excited to leave and not get bombarded by the people, and they are everywhere. You literally can’t walk down the road or sit on the beach. I did feel very safe here and walking around there were a lot of different options for food and also a lot of live bands which was very nice!

Great hotel on the water

Great stay overall. Some minor issues with the AC unit when we checked in but the staff was super fast in changing us rooms. Rooms are recently redone so they are nice, clean and new. We were welcomed with a bottle of bubbly in the room which was a nice touch. Rooms are spacious and the hotel is at the water so that's an extra cool detail. Only unfortunate part is that to walk into the city area, it's a bit dark and can get a bit tricky If there was rain as the street floods, but that is not the hotels fault. Has 2 pools and 2 onsite restaurants with great service. Breakfast is also very much worth it. Will 100% come back.

We prolonged our stay

Our first stay at the new HM Bavaro Beach hotel. The check in process was a bit ennoying as I already checked in online. The room 1101 with pool view is of very nice design but poorly finished craftmenship. Vertical light switch in bathroom falsely horizontal installed visible to break soon. Sharp edges at beds that easily can cause injuries. Both AC and TV remote control had dead batteries but got replaced immediately. No private parking, parking space on the street is limited. The location on the beach, the roof bar with pool, the excellent breakfast, the friendliness of the staff immediately made up for the not so good first impression.

This is a very nice small hotel with an AMAZING infinity pool on the roof overlooking the beach! Great for people watching. Lots of great local places to eat within walking distance. Rooms are clean with comfy beds and a great ocean view. Beach is typical for the Atlantic side. You dont get that beautiful blue color and there is a fair amount of sargassem/sea grass.Staff was AMAZING! We enjoyed our 7 day stay.

I credit the photographer who took such gorgeous pictures showcasing the HM Bávaro Beach Hotel. But, to our dismay, those pictures do not tell an accurate story: The “private” beach (which is not really private) is not well maintained. The HM’s passageway serves as an access to the beach for sister hotels guests thus, making a steady influx of boisterous non HM guests passing through. The beach loungers’ area is neglected and filled with empty plastic cups and rubbish. We had to move to another room due to a serious musty smell, malfunctioning AC and leaky faucet. To our surprise, most of the staff were quite unfriendly. They were curt if asked for assistance and most were on their phones. The only two pleasant people were Elva, from housekeeping and Merma Chuki, a security guard. Breakfast was limited and the restaurant food mediocre. The HM Hotels logo represents commitment to the planet’s environment. In my opinion, this hotel falls short of their goals. We Will not stay there again.

The staff were incredibly friendly. My husband and I appreciated how Jose welcomed us warmly and offered excellent suggestions. We found an unexpected gift in our room. The area was pleasant, tidy, and soothing. The beach view room was breathtaking! I would absolutely recommend this hotel, giving it a perfect 10/10.

The property was real nice and treated you with great hospitality. Police officers stand at the door to the resort because the area is not exactly the safest area. They do keep their Beach area nice and you do feel safe on the property. And it's not bad to walk around off of the resort during the daytime but at night it's iffy. I would stay there again just because after period of time I did get used to it being different from my home. It was very comfortable and relaxing

The check in process is tedious and long compared to US hotels. Otherwise, the staff are all very friendly and accommodating. The room size was good for 2 people. We had the sea view and it was perfect, with good size balcony. Our only issue was the pillows are too big and hurt our neck. They need flatter and softer options. The bathroom only had 1 set of towels, so we asked for more and received them immediately. Our favorite was the staff and food upstairs (5th floor) for dinner (choose sushi)-so good! Good price and overall service.

The property is right at the beach quiet and very nice

Clean hotel. Staff was amazing!! Beautiful views. It seemed to be an older hotel but was clean and perfect for what we wanted. Great price! And couldn’t say enough good things about the staff!

This property should not be advertised as a hotel, more motel type. pooor service, roaches in room and on bed, sheets only changed every three days. Horrible food

Beach area and roof top are excellent

The room is as small as can be. And most times couldn’t connect to a decent wifi signal. As an out of country visitar, that is important to me for home communication. The only other issue was the pool closes at 7pm, in an adult hotel.

Great Little Hotel I recently stayed at this great little hotel and was very impressed. The bedrooms were nice, with comfortable beds, and everything was clean. The continental breakfast was good and reasonably priced. The hotel is in a safe area, but unfortunately, the parking situation was not great. Despite this, there are simple yet tasty restaurants nearby. Overall, a mostly positive experience!

Excellent staff very friendly but also very courteous Luis and Jazmin were exceptional. Very hard workers who always put the company first. Took their recommendation and had excellent Italian food and als Excellent Japanese. I will definitely visit again

The hotel itself was great. Right on the beach and a good rooftop bar with a stellar view of the ocean. The room however was small. And a few of the staff visibly hated their jobs.

Nice place to stay, two good restaurants, eyservice

It’s a good place to stay right on the beach rooms are cozy not super big but it’s right next to good food and the service is really good! The rooftop bar had some of the best food I had in the DR during my stay. Prior to a night here I was at another all inclusive I wish I would have stayed here the entire trip!

The stay was the best part of the trip, the staff was amazingly friendly. The front desk was there to assist with all of the travel needs. Food was good, pools were nice, cool rooftop views 😎 👌

I enjoyed everything. It was a nice experience. I want to congratulate every staff for their services, specially Jeuri and Johanny, they were very helpful and friendly.

We had an amazing time staying here. If you are looking for a relaxing chilled spot to vacation to then this is a terrific option. We spent 7 nights. The hotel is super clean and the beds are very comfortable.The staff were friendly and helpful. Felix, Thomas, Jazmine along with other staff always had a smile and gave incredible service. The food at both restaurants was delicious and there’s also great options like “Citrus” that are a five minute walk from the hotel. We enjoyed both pools and the beach was clean and beautiful. We will definitely be back. Thank you HM Bavaro Beach for such a great stay.

My husband and I recently went to this hotel to celebrate his birthday. It was nice and private. We originally booked a standard room but upgraded to ocean view and it was very worth it! Loved that it had direct beach access but ended up using the pools more. The infinity pool is beautiful, but the other pool is much more private because almost no one uses it so we took advantage of that and made good use of it. I’m removing one star because I think some of the employees need to be taught to mind their own business, there was lots of starring by some of them and some comments about us that made us feel uncomfortable. Besides that we had a lovely stay, although we ended up leaving early because my husband wanted to look at properties so he moved to an airbnb closer to them and I moved to an all inclusive to be with some friends for the remainder of the trip.

Private. Boutique style. Adult only resort. Staff is personal and caters. Food is above the norm. Small and cozy. Beach has some issues with pollution. But property is top notch.

Nice place to stay

The staff are awesome. They really go the extra mile. The property is on a beautiful beach. The pool was out of commission in the sky bar. And I didn’t like the fact the kids from whala were able to come over to our beach. Other than that it was a great experience.

We stayed 6 nights at this property and chose this property as it was new and had a beautiful infinity pool on the rooftop. However when we got there the rooftop pool was closed for our entire trip, and we were not informed until we got there. This was disappointing however the staff did compensate by providing breakfast for us. We really wanted to enjoy the rest of the stay however the cleanliness of the room was horrific as there were cockroaches in our room. Housekeeping was kind enough to remove the roach one of the days. Another day the water stopped working for several hours (sink, shower, toilet) and the staff had no idea what was going on. We missed our planned activity that day as we did not have working amenities. Overall would not stay here again, but the views of the beach were beautiful if that is what you are looking for!

Nice relaxing place

It would appear that the property is under new management. It is a LITTLE in disrepair however it is extremely clean and there are staff around constantly cleaning and maintaining. The staff are all extremely friendly and accommodating. It is nicely tucked out of the way of the big resorts, but is still extremely safe.
