Could not get to the pier easy by walking. No beach access. Nesting ground area is part of path to pier. No access during bird nestling season. Drove over to pier but had to pay for parking. We would have had free pier access once we got to pier. Needless to say, we did not walk on pier. Paid daily parking during stay - valet/covered parking added cost. Parking is down the hill from hotel. A bit of a walk. For above issues would not stay again. Otherwise, great hospitality, clean hotel, beach access a plus. Great views.
Walk on to the beach!
Girls trip!
Excellent, Percy was tasty and nice view. Will be back !
Nice property , good location but I was never told about the $15 per day parking fee. Very annoyed.
LOVED this property. Quiet and clean and only property on the Gulf Shores State Park. Loved our room with balcony facing the gulf. Staff was friendly, property clean and felt very safe. We were there on the tail end of the winter season so not busy but the beach was great! The Gulf Shores area was fabulous. Although it is not an all-inclusive, it felt like on. Short trip to restaurants and bars. Will book again for sure!
Great beautiful beach location on the Gulf Shore. We enjoyed the location to the State Park, fishing pier and beach.
All the staff were very friendly and efficient. Very clean. We will be back!
We really enjoyed it!
Great experience! I have limited mobility so self parking was a challenge. Overall, my stay at the lodge was very enjoyable! I look forward to my next visit!
The property was easily accessible- clean and welcoming- we didn’t like that our room seemed to be at the forefront of the traffic on our floor causing it to be a bit noisy at times
We stayed in mid/late February, which was perfect! Turns out the regular “season” and parking restrictions within the community begin March 1st. The hotel has a private beach and is clean, nice, and well suited for family trips. Would visit again!
Make sure you calculate $16 a day to park minimum. On an unsecure surface lot. I don't like surprise add-ons. Still, it was a very nice place. We would definitely consider going back but now I know more of the price to compare to others.
Awesome beach andbike trails!!!
Love it here!
This place was amazing! We will be back!!
Amazing experience!
Our stay at The Lodge was fantastic! We had never stayed here before as our family has condos in the area, but we were passing through on the way to Santa Rosa for a bachelorette trip. We were instantly met with friendly service, from the valet to the front desk to other workers passing by. Everyone was so nice and helpful. Our waitress at the on-site restaurant went above and beyond for us, assisting with a food allergy and even hunting us down when we left without our to-go water! Couldn't rave about this place enough. We will definitely stay here again in the future and recommend to anyone coming to the area!
Our stay was great. Only complaint I can say isn’t the lodges fault and that would be the bloom bike rentals. They were ran down pretty well. But still done tge job. We both loved the location and friendly staff
Beach was accessible and beautiful.
Clean nice rooms. But the walk to the room from the lobby was very long. There are only two elevators for 5 floors of many rooms.
This is our favorite place! We’ve been at least 15 times and it never disappoints.
Being nestled in the nature preserve makes it feel like a private resort. Lots of food options onsite and many more just a short drive away. Walking trails and park just across the street are a nice change of scenery for young kiddos!
We got a room in off season. We were given a room that was placed right below a room that was under construction. We were woken up at 7am on a Saturday from the construction work Inside the room there were broken light switches, multiple lights didn’t work. There were more available, I know cause my cousin booked a room last minute and got a really nice room, but the stuck us with this room for whatever reason If it wasn’t such a short trip we would’ve asked to change rooms
Location was amazing
Not to great with parking
My wife and have stayed here several times
Beautiful location, lovely staff
Winter Getaway!
Fun family weekend. Lovely accommodations and plenty to do on site. Can’t wait to come back!
We had an amazing time. The Lodge is beautiful and the amenities excellent. The gym, the seating areas, the restaurant - all superb. Highly recommend booking the breakfast package. We had fun using the free bike rental. I suggest paying extra for a gulf view room. The “lagoon view” is uninspiring as you have to look past a construction area and dumpsters as well as the main road before seeing the lagoon.
Loved it!
Seclusion
Amazing location. Quiet, secluded but close enough to shops and restaurants.
Unique with a great view!
Fantastic view, and a unique setup. I am sure this place is a complete blast in the summer. However, it was very pretty and enjoyable over Christmas as well. A heated pool would be awesome, The coffee shop and evening drinks were awesome.
Property is very nice but also very expensive. You have to pay to park, if you want to use a luggage cart you have to pay for bell service. It says free Wi-Fi but that is only if you are a Hilton rewards member. The view and beach are very nice, just be forwarned about all the extra fees.
Enjoyed staying at this hotel. It was beautiful, clean and relaxing.
Average
Parking way to far away and $12 a day to park. Ridiculus.
Solo trip
This was my second trip and first solo trip and it was absolutely beautiful! The room was clean and cleaned daily. The view was amazing and the hotel staff was outstanding! The only thing I felt was missing was a microwave in the room. Otherwise do yourself a favor and book this hotel OMG excellent!!!
First time to pay for parking - not a fan of that & I would have used that as a consideration if comparing with other properties. I was unaware of that until reservation was made. Staff & personnel were very friendly & accommodating.
Quite and not too crowded
Stay was good with clean rooms. No microwave.
Stunning property right on the beach and minutes from anything you want or need. Use the free 3 hour bike share to get around and see the park, drive to Bon Secour Wildlife Refuge, Fort Morgan, take the ferry to Dauphin Island, so much to see and do.
Would come back
All the staff were friendly and very helpful. Our room was clean along with the fitness center.
Enjoyed our stay. Beautiful property right on the beach.
It was ok property Booked a beach view room didn’t receive it but I payed for it also staff at front desk was no help in correcting the issue. At checkout said they couldn’t print me a receipt of my stay will never stay here again
Plenty of ares to walk(beach, pier, state park), also very relaxing
It is a unique place with wonderful beach access. Food is pretty good. Bar prices a bit high. Free amenities were non-existent. I thought it was tacky to charge $3 for bottles of water in the room. Prices paid for rooms should include a free bottle of water, shampoo, shower cap sort of thing
Awesome hidden gem
Great hidden gem. This was out second trip to the state park with many more to come. Would love to bring my kayak down to try the lake.
Beautiful property. Very nice room and views. Loved being next to park and bikes available. Wished there was free breakfast, hot tub and microwave.
This is such a beautiful hotel and is one of our favorites in the Gulf Shores area! The inside lobby is absolutely gorgeous with great seating areas. We especially love enjoying the ocean view with a coffee in hand from the deck next to the espresso stand. They made the outside bar area bigger and also have lots of great seating out there. The beach area is gorgeous and a short walk down to the pier. We’ve seen lots of dolphins playing in the surf. The food in the restaurant is good. When the weather is nice, they offer lots of outdoor seating options with great ocean views. They also have a really cute gift shop that carries nice adult clothing to beach bags and sun glasses. The only negative I have found about the hotel is that the beds are not comfortable, which is too bad given all of the fine attention to detail that was put into the rest of the property.
We did a last min stay here and were so happy with everything! The staff from check in to the pool area, to the pool bar, to the restaurant were all so friendly and welcoming. The room was clean, comfortable, and enjoyable !
Only suggestion is better fan system and lighting in bathroom - had a great time!
Great place to stay. Private beach, good restaurants and fantastic staff. Highly recommend it.
Friendly service
Very pleased with my stay. Room was nice and clean. Balcony was great. The location was perfect since I spent most of my time at the state park.
Great stay. Staff was awesome
This property is right in the middle of all the things! Orange Beach and Gulf Shores all right at your feet. Thei views of the lagoon\lale and beach is absolutely fantastic. The bed was actually very comfortable and I travke a ton and can firmly say this is usually not the case. I will definitely be back soon
This is a beautiful property.
As a park adjacent property the surrounding beach and walkways were a great feature. The onsite dining was quite good for the breakfast we had there.
Beach was very private clean and not crowded as you have 2 miles of beach without any other hotels or condos being near. It is on the expensive side to stay there.
Beautiful setting,great restaurants,clean,away from comercial area,peaceful.
The lack of luggage carts. Had to lug our bags a long way to and from our room
The parking sucked.
We loved the stay here
Staff was friendly and helpful. Wonderful property. We really enjoyed it
Room very worn not clean. Smelled like urine Sad because the property is excellent!! It may have been our room or floor I would try again just for the property itself and hopefully a better room
Beach and the state park across from the hotel
This is a great beach hotel. The rooms are nice, the dining options are good, and there’s easy access to the swimming pool and the beach. The staff were really nice too.
This is a beautiful property and staff was extremely friendly and provided top notch service. A few things that prevented me from giving it a full five stars: we got a room with a king bed and bunk bed, it was great with kids but the bunk bed comforters weren’t made when we got there, there was just a folder interior comforter and a folder top sheet sitting on the beds. So after a long day of traveling, I had to lay out the sheets on the king bed and try to fit the comforters in the top sheets . Not a huge deal but for the amount of money, I really don’t want to have to make beds. Also- they didn’t really fit together so it was a bit awkward. The second thing that prevented me from giving a five star review was the layout of the hotel. Obviously it was built that was for maximum privacy and quiet in the rooms but you have to walk from the parking garage, up the elevator, outside, through the lobby, outside again, past the pool and a few shops and then into the area with rooms. Our room was the very last room which meant that whole trek (with kids and a stroller and luggage) plus past EVERY single room. We forgot something in the car and I literally didn’t have the energy to go back. All in all- a beautiful property that we would definitely stay at again, but I would request a closer room and I would probably pay the $22 for valet to make the walk easier!
Hotel lobby was very pretty and clean. Hall carpet was dirty and stained. I know that is a high traffic area but it’s time to replace it. Mattresses were terrible. They were sagging on one side and felt like you would roll in the floor. I switched sides and the same thing. Staff was very friendly and prompt. Hotel in on a major highway and the traffic noise was horrible. We couldn’t get a gulf front room with balcony so I opted for a balcony room facing Lake Shelby. Don’t! Ok view but road noise made it miserable! Rather than face a second sleepless night we drove 6 hours home instead!
Great access to the beach. Room conditions were clean. Balcony latch was stuck and very hard to operate. Walking around door in bathroom layout was awkward. Nice dining options. Coffee shop could use a second worker. Overall great location and wonderful getaway!
For the price this was great
The red haired coffee lady. Very nice! Love the fox Squirrel ☺️the lady that I talked to that came in and cleaned room . Very sweet !
Gorgeous property and hotel. Resort style with nice pool, white sand beach, dining, open air sports bar, coffee stand, ice cream. Valet parking, beach bicycles, tons of walking trails. Loved that multiple balcony seating areas on beach side were available for all guests.
The room was not clean by any means. There were toothpaste splatters all over the walls and dust bunnies in every corner. The outlets for plugging in electronics were dust ridden and disgusting.
Located within state park
The property is great
We had a great three day stay and experience. Calming and very relaxing with views of the beach from nice comfortable chairs.
Beautiful place!
Wonderful stay, the only complaint is that the light was somewhat low in the bathroom even with all the lights on. The facility was beautiful! We went across the street to the park and went on a Segway tour. Very fun and easy to ride. Everything was clean and nice
Great place to stay.
This is the best place for staying at the beach. The rooms were clean and comfortable, the balcony was just right for reading and coffee, the food at the restaurants was good, the service was friendly.
It was a good night
Mother Nature is the only allure of this property. Funky room smell, dirty carpets, I cleaned up more of my bar table than the staff and an overall lack of concern when these items were pointed out means I won’t stay here again. The area itself is great!
The private and beautiful beach is the standout feature of this location. The hotel could use some TLC (paint and a deep clean more regularly) and improved cleanliness but also, in their defense, I think it would be hard to keep up with the families that come here and that seem allow their kids to do whatever they please (walk in covered in sand, dripping wet, spilling colorful drinks, etc.). The environment (beach, bayou, park) is WONDERFUL and therefore location cannot be beat. Perhaps, we expect an antiquated perception of a nicer experience at a Hilton property, but we were disappointed in the bar drinks, and customer service from check-in. We were given a different room than we paid for, but decided not to bring it up just because we got the impression the check-in staff would not be willing to help. Pillows were very uncomfortable. Bed was comfortable. View was PERFECT! So, it is a mixed bag. If you want good views, a private beach, a pool option, a hotel instead of VRBO or rental condo, this is the best option in the area. Many of the condos have similar cleanliness issues as this Hilton due to the number of families that rent the condos out. I just hope Hilton sinks some money into staff training, a facelift, and regular deep cleaning to improve the overall experience.
My boyfriend and I had a great time!
Attentive Staff! Customer Service was excellent!
Great service, beautiful location, plenty of amenities.
None
Great location. Nice size room, but the beds were not comfortable at all and the AC barely cooled the room. The breakfast buffet was good.
Will return again! Love this property.
Great stay
Family trip 2024
Family trip with the wife, kids, and in-laws! Trip was perfect. This is our 3rd time staying here and plan on coming back.
Over all great stay would do again
Parking … good luck. People park wherever they want and ignore signs. The balcony lock didn’t work, and even though we had the do no disturb sign on the door, an employee let herself in around 845.. I was like hello.. there are people in here. The staff overall was great.
We had an amazing time here! We were able to check in a couple hours early which was great. Having all of the restaurants on the property was the best part. Service was great all around. No complaints whatsoever! We will be back.
location is great , the beach , the pool area and the lake nearby make this a great deastination
Overall, we were pleased with our stay. The price point was on the higher end in my opinion; however, the location is beyond compare in Alabama. The beach is not crowded. Other hotels are a fair distance away. The pier is a short walk down the beach. Guests have the entire state park full of walking trails across the street to explore. We took advantage of the beach chair/ umbrella service with Ike’s, and it was great!! The pool was lovely, but we are beach goers and stayed on the beach. There were a few jellyfish, but definitely manageable. We saw porpoises and dolphins in the mornings!!! 😍 The water was lovely! Our room was clean and well furnished. I appreciated the communal balconies on the ocean side for lake view stays to enjoy. I deduced one star for the mattress. If this is a tempur-pedic…it certainly did not feel like a memory foam mattress to me.
Great visit as always
Beautiful property and beach. Not crowded. We ate at each of the restaraunts at the property and every meal was wonderful!
Really enjoyed this property. We will be back.
Very nice hotel with a gorgeous pool and view of the ocean! We enjoyed our stay and will definitely stay at this resort again.
Peace
Very relaxing and friendly atmosphere. Children loved the experience.
Everything was so relaxing & smooth. We got an upgrade & the beach view was the highlight. The breakfast buffet at Foodcraft, I highly recommend!!

Great staff
Almost every staff member was friendly and extremely helpful.
