I recently stayed at the Hilton in San Francisco’s Financial District for a business trip, and I was highly disappointed with the service. While the hotel itself is in a convenient location, my experience was overshadowed by the rude and unhelpful staff. After checking out the morning of my departure, I stayed in the hotel to wait for my flight. During this time, I encountered an issue when the restroom on the first floor was closed for cleaning for over an hour. When I approached the front desk to ask for an alternative restroom, the staff’s response was not only dismissive but also rude. Additionally, I needed an umbrella earlier in the morning, and when I requested one, I was again met with an unprofessional and curt response. Customer service plays a crucial role in making a stay enjoyable, and unfortunately, this was lacking at this Hilton. While the location is great for business trips, I would hesitate to stay here again due to the poor treatment from the staff. I would recommend the hotel improve its customer service to better match the quality of its facilities.
Love the location and the view feom the room! Staff was very professional and helpful!!!
Wonderful property and staff
Dont book a standard room unless you want to ne near the elevators. Amd yes u can hear it. Other than that nice view if u get one. Nice staff. Bery convenient cause its right out 1 block from china town so mamy good eats in walkinb distance.
Lovely
Nice hotel excellent customer service.
The Hotel is clean & all the staff is friendly & helpful. We had a beautiful room with a beautiful view. The man that helped me check in gave me a beautiful view because he knew it was my husbands birthday. There was fridge in our room & access to a microwave in the lobby & that is very important to me to warm our food. We will definitely stay there again!
Lady at the checkin admitted that their marketing is very aggressive and not everything on the online booking sites matches with the reality.
Lovely hotel. Nice, clean, comfortable and convenient location for sightseeing.
good hotel
Loved it will be back.
There was no microwave, the prices were high. And there was no convenient plug for the coffee maker.
Upgraded room for city view and got rooftop views. Very noisy pump? Squeaky bed even just lying down or getting up. Bathroom flushing was the loudest I’ve ever heard. Parking was a big surprise at $65 per day.
Good customer
It is a great location, rooms were nice, paid for a room with a view but the windows were really dirty. My husband noticed it and usually that kind of stuff doesn’t even register with him, but it was his one complaint.
The only thing I could complain about would be the cheap curtains in the shower and the bathroom being to high I almost fell a couple times. Everything else about or stay was lovely.
Close to Chinatown
We really enjoyed our stay here. We love being close to almost everything, shopping, dining etc.
Restaurant needs better selection of food
Nice Chinatown hotel
one night stay; check in was easy; room was clean and comfortable; very busy area in chinatown; parking is expensive but convenient; allow extra time to wait for elevators; like that on the day we checked out we were able to keep our car parked in the garage until 3pm; area felt safe-we walked around the neighborhood at night without any issues
The area , wasn’t clean
Location is good as it’s very close to Chinatown. Property is ok, rooms are clean and pleasant. The only minor downside is the high cost of overnight parking.
Always impecable service
Parking not included and has an extra cost $75 Rooms is too small and worn out condition Also I paid more money for bay view but windows was not a clean.
We’ve been coming here for Chinese New Year Parade for 5 years. We love that it’s on the Parade route and within walking distance to Grant Street vendors during the festival.
Staff was friendly. Nice lobby and room.
We had a great time. We were in walking distance to the theater we were going to.
The food around the hotel is great. The hotel itself leaves much to be desired.
Location very convenient, superclean and friendly staff
Great price, with parking
The hotel is magnificent! It is near Chinatown, and you are less than 2 miles from the Fisherman Warfth. I would highly recommend staying at this location. You will not be disappointed
Great location
Not a good deal for the price. Although it was probably a fine hotel in its day, its best days seemed to have past.
Windows were dirty in the room. Expensive and not comfortable parking.
SF Chinatown Stay
Centrally located to China town and plenty restaurants. My room was clean, pleasant, and comfortable.
Loving what I’m seeing!
…
The staff was very rude! Even the general manager who was very dismissive when you expressed issues and did nothing to make up for the inconveniences and rude staff. Also, note, there is no staff to assist with carrying your luggage.
I had only positive experiences with the hotel. It's in a good location, straddling both Chinatown and North Beach. Room was nice, cleaning staff did an excellent job, and there is a really nice coffee and breakfast bar in the lobby.
Really nice property loved my stay
The hotel was ok the thing that made me leave 3 stars was the fact the hotel room bed was dirty and had hair and when we asked it to get cleaned he said it’s from the vents and didn’t even want to clean it and did a half a** job
Don't try the soda machine. It's broken. Everything else is wonderful.
Convenient, safe location close to the Union Square. My room was a corner room with limited sunlight, but otherwise it was clean and comfortable.
Everything was good

Very comfortable
Muy bonita y todo está cerca
such friendly helpful staff! noisy- no sound reduction anywhere, room to room; hallway to room; outside to room -even from the 21st floor
I was very displeased at the AC, not working in the room and then being woken up at 1:30 in the morning from the cleaners cleaning the room above us with a vacuum and scooting chairs around making the worst sound ever. We were only to be there for one night for my birthday and ended up leaving early very sad very disappointed.
The Hilton San Francisco Financial District is a centrally located hotel that offers convenience for both business and leisure travelers. Pros: • Great Location – Situated in the Financial District, it’s within walking distance of Chinatown, North Beach, and the Embarcadero. • Spacious Rooms – Many rooms offer nice city or bay views, with comfortable beds and modern rooms. • Good Amenities – Fitness center, business facilities, and an on-site restaurant/bar. • Public Transportation Access – Close to BART, Muni, and bus stops for easy travel around the city. Cons: • Extra Fees – Parking is expensive $60 night, and Wi-Fi may not be free depending on your booking. • Street Noise – Being in a busy part of the city, some rooms may experience noise from traffic and nightlife. Overall, it’s a solid choice for those wanting a well-located hotel with standard Hilton amenities, but it might not feel as upscale as some other options in the city.
Right in the heart of Downtown and Chinatown
good, parking is not bad for 1 night stay. only $60
I liked the fact that I could walk to a lot of near by places to eat and the convenience of it all.
Scamming people! Stay away!
This hotel charges your credit card and then claims that you upgraded the room when in fact it was never upgraded. This is fraudulent activity and I can't believe Hilton is allowing it to happen. Then when you try to dispute it, they give you the runaround. Spent 2 hours on the phone already trying to just talk to someone who can tell me why these charges were added.
Good location. Nice
Antonio Ramirez was of great help! Rooms are spacious, and clean
Water pressure was somehow that I could not take my shower
It was clean and easy to check in... nice experience.. only thing that i got blindsided was a $65 parking charge... other then that..it was good
Good location.
Good place to stay. Good location too.
The parking garage staff was unprofessional and rude when directing us. When I had asked him a question he proceeded to raise his voice at me and ask “do you want a problem?”. We had brought this incident to the front desk manager and he was apologetic in a condescending way.
Would recommend
Great location
Overall the property/room was clean and the staff was helpful. I was not happy about $74 a day for parking there. And the shower was not great for a woman who wants to shave her legs or use her own toiletries. There were no ledges or inlets, in the shower.
Great location, excellent staff
Hotel gave us an early check-in and upgrade. Gym was very nice for a hotel. Location was great - so close to both Chinatown and North Beach. Will stay here next time I’m in San Francisco.
I loved the view of Coit Tower and North Beach. Bed was comfortable. Shower was hot. There was a little charm that was missing from the property however. I couldn't get my room lit very well with how the lights were set up. Also, the vending machine had no refrigeration and the drinls were all warm.
Family trip
Amazing
We love this hotel
Very clean, nice hotel with accommodating staff.
We were checked into a room that had poor air circulation. Should have asked front desk to change room but was very tired upon arrival.
Ac did work well
Bed was extremely hard and uncomfortable.
Hotel is ok, needs upgrades
I love the view from my room.
Great location
You have to pay for parking , windows were dirty , you can hear what’s going on next door , stains in the bathroom
Bad service
They gave me an exceptional experience for my birthday. I would stay here again in the future.
Great location
Homeless were in the hotel lobby. And the parking garage which was almost 80 per night, was absolutely vile. The smells were almost too muvh to handle. Urine was everywhere. There was no protection keeping the homeless out.
Very good
Bad stay made it a bad day!
Went to the dinner to honor new mayor... felt great and wanted to give hotel staff a gift of appreation... asked to speak to manager on duty so he could give gift to staff. Very light traffic at desk. After waiting around ten minutes i decided to walk away.... i felt bad! I left and came back and handed the gift to a random employee to share with others. This maynot seem like a deal, but oner tem minutes to talk to someone at this hotel.... customer priority... Made for a bad day for me.
Good location, polite staff
Big room
Very very good
Staff was friendly and helpful. Room was comfortable and decorated nicely.
There were scrunch up tissues on the side of the bed and hair in the shower but other than that it was fine. We paid 206 plus 75 parking. We expected the cleanliness to be better with the price we paid.
Love this hotel! Perfectly located and staff is very friendly
Great location, staff beautiful views from my room
I
I love this place
Convenient location but staff very rude.
NYE stay
My wife and i stayed overnight for NYE. We attended an event and need a place close to the embarcadero. Very satisfied with the stay and will return if needed
Great if you want China Town and North Beach. Lovely staff at check in and the bar. Perfect location. I'll be back.
great place
it was a comfortable stay
Staff is very friendly
Location
Just like Las Vegas they are doing the old Resort fees scam but with their self parking. $68 daily fee for a guest is way too much
It’s so safe and great place.
Clean and very close to Chinatown. Many Chinese restaurant options with a few minutes of walking.
RO
The staff was friendly and very accommodating.
