Always a lovely stay and great rooms
We had an amazing holiday, we need to repeat, is so much to do in Queenstown! The position of the hotel is amazing, we will always comeback, see you soon!:-)
Apartment was a little tired but acceptable. Very stuffy and aircon didn’t work well. Amenities eco friendly. Staff were very helpful.
Beautiful and peaceful
Don’t get a massage.
It’s a great apartment style rental close to Frankton and by the hiking trails. I was able to walk up to great eateries about a mile and half away. The pro- close to airport: easy to uber Cons- the spa massage experience I had was probably the worst massage I received in over 100 massages. I don’t think they have quality check on the massages b cause there is no way this lady (Indian lady) was able to get away without complaints for this long. It took me three days to recover from a simple massage.
Amazing and flawless
View
Lovely location close to the airport on the water.
Spa was amazing
Nice spot
Nice hotel but definitely not in the centre of Queenstown. We used the ferry service, $10pp one way, quite fun, but not a very regular service (two hours between services in the afternoon). Much better than trying to find car parking - a nightmare unless you are willing to pay quite a bit. Very confusing layout of the hotel. No availability of free parking. Plenty of undercover parking at $16p/n. One advantage for us was taking the 3 day deal - same price but at least you can come and go from the carpark as often as you need. Excellent, tasty food at the Wakatipu Grill. Good, friendly service too. Good burgers and wedges at The Stack. Open fires at both, even though we visited in December. Lovely!
A great lakeside hotel with a nice view. Accessible to Queenstown by 15-min ride water taxi.
Very good environment and staffs are very friendly. Not over price to compare other hotel in queenstown. Water taxi is in front of hotel so easy to go out town and back .i was considered location but it is good and quiet , peaceful. After breakfast, i had walk belong to lake side. There has bar and outdoor seat in front of fire place . Comfortable and relaxing holiday in hilton. Name is not wrong to go and good value.
Had a lovely stay. Everyone made us feel super welcomed and helped usncelebratenour anniversary in the best way!
Everything is good
Loved our stay at Hilton Queenstown
I didn't expect to have to pay for parking which is run by a private company. Free parking in the area is very limited.
Staff were very accommodating once any issue was brought to their attention. We were in two different rooms during our stay, both were tired and needed maintenance. one had terrible mouldy carpet outside the front door. The hallways smelt musty & damp. When dining in the main restaurant, we had excellent food and service on two occasions and very poor service & not so good food on the other couple of times. Different staff.
A Hilton wanting a 100$ deposit on my card… really? The bathroom needs a lot of additional light. Way too dark. Staff were very pleasant, I was just rather underwhelmed from beginning to end. Construction occurring at this time also
Had a room on the bottom floor with a hot tub which also gave us easy access to the ferry into Queenstown and the same level as the breakfast buffet!
The Hilton Queenstown was a beautiful property! The staff were all very nice and helpful! They even upgraded us to a 2-bedroom apartment with a lake view! It was an incredible night!
It felt very luxurious! The staff are truly all so wonderful!
Awesome staff
pristine property
Thanks will definitely stay again
The decor felt dark and outdated, which impacted the overall atmosphere of the space. The balcony facing the lake, while offering a beautiful view, was in need of a thorough cleaning; bird droppings on the glass balustrade and general grime detracted from the experience. Only basic bathroom amenities were provided, and oddly, there was only a single teaspoon for cutlery. On a positive note, the staff were genuinely lovely. However, given the limited amenities and upkeep issues, I didn’t feel it was worth the price and would likely choose other accommodations in the future.
The location is excellent, on the shores of beautiful Lake Wakatipu. However, parking is not included with the room and free parking is extremely limited
Late night staff were really helpful as we checked in late. The room was incredible with a stunning view and the breakfast had everything you could want. The servers at breakfast were also really friendly. Wish we could have stayed longer!
Service and location
Absolutely fabulous! 20yr wedding anniversary! Felt like I was on our honeymoon again! Xxx
Our stay was amazing, would recommend to anyone, Queenstown New Zealand was a great place to visit. Had a fantastic time
Property very clean. Room was excellent with quiet location Was a bit confusing on the elevators between areas. Address in uber was on adjacent street
I enjoyed my stay with hilton. Myself and husband stayed at the kings deluxe room which was very nice. Nice staffs, everything was amazing! We enjoyed our stay.
Thoroughly enjoyed our stay and would stay again. Our room had the most amazing views of Queenstown and the mountain ranges. The team of staff were so obliging and friendly.
Great for families with car Great Lake view
We were so please with our choice of hotel for our stay in Queenstown!!! Hotel facilities and rooms were amazing, staff super helpful and friendly after taxi to the city was a really fun way to soak in the views of this iconic city - will be recommending to everyone!
Every was amazing except the parking
Parking was horrible, had to pay another $80 to park across the road from the hotel, pillows were terrible and the bed was uncomfortable, nowhere to do washing on-site. those couple of issues didn’t ruin our stay though, was rather inconvenient however.
Parking was rubbish! Parking should be included as a guest
Outstanding property. Every member of staff made us feel welcome throughout our stay. Rooms are great quality and facilities immaculate. good breakfast range and great quality. I cannot recommend this property highly enough.... and I might add I stay in a lot of hotels every year!
Nice place if you want to be little away from the busy town core. Close to Airport and walking trails with water taxi to town.
The location provided a sense of peace and relaxation. The service was great, and the water taxis convenient. Recommend highly.
Was such a good stay! Front desk are very helpful and accommodating as well. Will definitely be back and have told others to look at staying there for a weekend getaway
The place lacked cleanliness in general. Whether its the bar area filled with customers dirty dishes or the pillows with dirt or the bath tub being not washed etc etc. i had something biting my skin whole time i stayed there.
Nice
Our go too Queenstown accommodation. Easy to catch the ferry/boat into town to avoid traffic between Frankton and Queenstown. Will be back
Great facilities, beautiful location just a bit far from city centre which is probably my fault for not looking into it. Other then that it was a great stay
Friendly and helpful staff, comfy beds, nice bathroom
Beautiful views, staff were amazing, excellent facilities.
This is the second time I stayed here and I love it. It's a nice escape from the city centre but it's only a short ferry ride away. The rooms are spacious and beautiful and very relaxing.
Lovely views across the water.
Lovely but could have done better !
Enjoyed our stay.Lovely views. Although for the price I feel it would have been enhanced with more quality and quantity of amenities - such as the tea / coffee / milk in bedroom . Bath robes had holes in them . Small things would have made a big difference !
After a few days of traveling and exploring, we arrived feeling a bit tired and unsure about where to park while checking in. A staff member outside immediately noticed our confusion and kindly stepped in to assist without us even asking. He was incredibly friendly and helpful. Inside, we were greeted warmly by Lara at the front desk, who was not only kind but also very informative. She answered all our questions and ensured we had all the information we needed about our room, parking, and breakfast. I couldn’t speak more highly of her service. When we returned to get our bags from the car, still debating whether to handle the bags or parking first, the same gentleman who had assisted us earlier graciously offered to carry our heavy bags to the room while we sorted out parking. His help was truly a lifesaver, especially given our fatigue, and he did it with professionalism, kindness, and a smile. The room was impeccable—clean, comfortable, and beautifully maintained. We encountered a small issue with the TV (a minor glitch), but after texting the front desk, Carl responded promptly and quickly arranged for someone to come up and fix it. The issue was resolved in no time. Housekeeping did an excellent job with the turn-down service, and we truly appreciated that while the room was spotless, our personal belongings were respectfully left untouched. It was a thoughtful and appreciated detail. We also ordered room service, and the food was simply fantastic. The lady who deliv
Well run properly staff were awesome amazing views and so peaceful
Rooms are beginning to look dated. Area can be noisy when the planes are landing/ taking off - even inside the room. Description states there’s a coffee maker but it’s just a kettle not a coffee machine
We stayed there for three nights it was very comfortable very warm rooms with the fireplaces. We got there on a Monday and stay through till Thursday only one of the restaurants was open on the Monday and the Tuesday.
Fabulous
Amazing level of professionalism shown by all staff, maybe our honeymoon all the more special
Had to pay for parking, fireplace wasn't a real fireplace just a little gas fire that barely produced heat, bathroom poorly ventilated had to buy air freshener apart from that pretty good stay.
.
Loved the serenity of the property and its surroundings:one of the highlights was sitting outside each evening with other guests around the fire pit sharing travel stories.
Nice stay we enjoyed our time
I really enjoyed my stay here. The hotel was lovely. It was peaceful with amazing views. Close to the airport. However there wasn’t a lot to do around the hotel and the water taxis didn’t run past 6:15pm into the town. you then had an expensive taxi or Uber (half the price) to get back to the hotel.
Too far for everything
Really close to airport, great room, nice views, easy to get around, great lobby
Was as good as my last stay can’t find a complaint
For the price they charge, the service was no good. Housekeeping did not remove room service glasses, just left them on the table for 3 days, the entire time we were there. Room amenities were not restocked daily and we had to call to ask them. First night, their restaurant had a new menu which meant they could not get food out in time. Waited an hour for our meals which were overcooked. The managers at the restaurant were great though, very friendly and provided good service but everywhere else was lacking. Also booked a facial in person at the spa which apparently was not correctly done. Went to the appointment at 9am, only to be told there was no booking. As we were checking out on that day, I could not go at a later time which is why I booked it for that time to ensure I could go. Had high expectations for Hilton but ultimately was left disappointed.
Great rooms on level 1. Spa pool outside the room was awesome. Only a minor is the constant forced ventilation noise. But at least dry the swimming clothes.
Lovely room. Instructions for the fire and spa pool would have been useful. Enjoyed the dining options. Room service was efficient.
The property was away from the main area of Queenstown. It was quiet and beautiful. Our room was spacious, the staff was friendly, and the amenities such as the pool and sauna were superb. However, I had a few issues with this hotel. Staying on the 8th floor was very inconvenient. The elevator only took you i to the 7th floor and then you'd have to walk down the hall to take a different elevator to the lobby. Parking is limited. Lastly, the property was a 15 minute drive away.
What unique was its location and staff especially Fiona at the service desk. She was very helpful, friendly and knowledgeable co-ordinating our activity during our stay. Thank you Fiona! We will be back ;)!.
Great location, facilities and stunning lake views
Beautiful location, we had the waterfront room with spa pool, very nice!
We really enjoyed the lake view from our room.
I wanted to love this property based off the tranquility of being on the lake and being in the beautiful Queenstown. We upgraded to a suite as a splurge and we were very disappointed in the condition of the room and the cleanliness. Our sliding glass door appeared to have never been cleaned and was filled with fingerprints and stains and maybe a dog had been in the room. The table outside was so disgusting looking I wouldnt even sit and enjoy the chairs outside. No judgement we love dogs but would love to see that cleaned up. Our bed duvet had what appeared to be a cigarette burn on it and the couch in our room was stained and just covered up with a pillow by housekeeping. The picture frames were scuffed and the list goes on and on. For such a stunning property I think there’s an opportunity for upkeep and a focus on cleaning. It was tough that the cleanliness of the property and our suite made us question our investment and I’m doubtful we would stay on the property again.
It’s not what it looks like
It was terrible. They tried to change our rooms. I was standing around for an hour trying to get the rooms that I paid for. They tried very hard to put me in small different rooms was very upset. The whole place was not treated good at all and the room to a very dirty. We paid $380 per day for two rooms for two days and they still were trying to put us in different small rooms
We loved out stay at the Hilton in Queenstown. The room was comfortable and we had a beautiful view of the lake from our room. The service from the staff was great and everyone was very friendly.
The staff were great. Views were great. Room was lovely. Didn't like that I had to pay for parking.
If some of the toothbrushes, toothpaste and cups are in the room that will be very helpful.
Everything you would expect, and more
Amazing. It was cosy and friendly, great customer service in a stunning location with beautiful tracks and views. It wasn't too fancy with uppity people, but nicely done with all the trappings. Everything you would expect and more.
Comfortable rooms, great location for a good holiday.
Looooooved staying here! Clean, quiet, incredible staff, and surrounded by nature. The pool/sauna/steam room is absolutely amazing and so relaxing after long days of hiking and adventure. A really great stay just outside of Queenstown, which made it feel like a tranquil paradise. I definitely recommend it!
Very nice place
Beds are so comfortable, great location and nice touch the in room fire, perfect on a rainy day😄
Great look and very clean.
Looks nice but rooms and beds and amenities a bit tired (worst hotel bed I’ve slept in) - quite a few fixtures in need of repair! Staff were very nice - met quite a few due to reporting bed four times and gas fire a few times Didn’t like segregated saunas when a couples 5 day treat Car park not free doesn’t state on line —states car parking available but $16 a day
The Hilton in QNZ is outstanding. Everywhere you look there’s a friendly staff member saying good morning/afternoon, asking if they can help - so welcoming. The location is superb, private, peaceful & beautiful. Aesthetically the property has a traditional, familiar charm. Our favourite hotel stay by far.
Friendly as
Incredibly gorgeous hotel and the staff are super attentive. Definitely would recommend this hotel to anyone I know.
Overall a very good experience. Couple of things to note though. The parking is quite expensive especially if you’re staying for more than 2 days. There isn’t any free parking at the hotel so bring extra for that. The security deposit for the hotel was a surprise and the booking agency we went through didn’t advise us of those costs. Hilton Queenstown charges $50 per night as a deposit on arrival to checking in. So bear that in mind also when booking. Other than that I would highly recommend staying here. We were out doing activities every day so to come back to a room with fresh towels, the bed was nicely made and the tea, coffee and water was always topped up was amazing. Very friendly staff and a very fast and prompt service.
Like the environment here. Love the facilities here, and the serious and responsible attitude of the staff.
Got x2 to parking tickets for $65 each and got told I had parking .. room was so little for a apartment style . Paint missing from walls and shower door didn’t open all the way to get into it . Room and stairs I asked to change rooms as had my crawling / walking baby with me they did it would cost $170 more to change rooms they said they could give me a fire guard to cover the stairs it wasn’t big enough for to cover the stairs
The beautiful view, comfortable rooms and handy proximity to the water taxi are all bonuses for this hotel. We were upgraded to a room with a sitting area and fire which was very relaxing.
Beautiful property. Very well kept. Lovely atmosphere. Clean. Staff were super accommodating, helpful and friendly. Is a good 10min drive to Queenstown centre but you can catch the water taxi across which picks you up right outside the resort.
Beautiful property n view. Need a better pillow.
Accom was excellent
Great experience 👍
Great resident apartment with toilet floor heating
We stayed in their residence apartment and it was great. Toilet has floor heating, lake view balcony. We enjoyed our stay.
We paid for the best room in the King Lake Wakatipu Suite. On arrival, many expected things such as in room dining did not work as they were transfering to a new system. The AC did not function correctly and we had to ask for a heater. A simple request for 10 tea bags was not delivered and instead sent to the wrong room. The room was not cleaned for 3 days and I eventually asked for the room to be cleaned. The stay was well below other hilton venues
The Property was great and the service from the people at the front desk outstanding. Happy positive and supportive. I would most certainly stay there again rather than in the town.
Stayed one night in a lake view spa room after an upgrade which was simply lovely and very cosy. The room was fabulous and the spa a real treat. Staff on check in were very helpful and quick and the staff on the phones were also very helpful. Just a couple of minor downsides - the room service menu was not working through their new online system which they did warn me about, but it took me having to ring up and ask for it to be fixed which could only be done by emailing me a link which did work but given its the Hilton and the price one pays to stay here you do expect these things to be seamless. Sidenote: Note just for Hilton but all Hotels having travelled with my elderly father I also think its unfair to ask elderly guests to HAVE to utilise these systems at all, my Dad simply couldn't figure it out anyway. In room menu should always be provided. Another small thing occurred at the breakfast buffet, where after we were seated by the "head waitress" at a table, another waitress came over and said, oh i need to move you, with no explanation. We said, ah no we were told to sit here and it was an awkward situation. We had already placed our food on the table and were about to eat. This could have been handled better. Both very small things but for Hilton I do expect very high quality I guess. The location however is simply stunning and the grounds make for wonderful views and the food service is top notch!
Great service great facilities
Great stay .. amazing location
