This is easy the best property on the Island. The service here was very friendly and client focused. There were maybe one or two bad apples at the resort with bad attitude but we just learned to avoid them. One thing that could be better is an update to the menu. The food is good, but it could be GREAT with just a little bit more creativity and attention to detail. I highly recommend staying here while traveling in Moorea!
Amazing resort, overwater bungalow was fantastic. Service was excellent but the food was terrible. Can’t win them all so would still return and eat outside the resort.
Heaven on Earth
This place was heaven on earth!! We stayed in the over water bungalows and loved it. The snorkelling was some of the best I have ever done. The staff was super friendly, we enjoyed the free passle boards and kayaks every day.
Property not in good shape
The resort is not in good condition. Our room had peeling wallpaper, toilet that would not flush properly and the pool deck boards were loose and bowed presenting a safety hazard. While the staff was very nice they seemed overworked. We saw people in the morning at 7am and they were still working at 9pm. It really felt like management was milking the property without fixing anything. We stayed here when it was an Intercontinental and it was night and day difference.
Overwater Bungalow was stellar!
Beautiful accommodations. Bathroom vanity mirror needs to be fixed. The mini bar was unfortunately locked during my stay so I could not access the complimentary drinks. Other than that the staff were extremely pleasant and helpful. Overwater bungalow was stellar. The wood on the deck needs a re-coat. It’s getting pretty patchy in places.
Great Location - Hilton is Too Cheap to Invest
Hilton has a beautiful property hear but doesn't do it justice in terms of the management of the facility. People in the hotel were good, maintenance was average (one sink didn't drain, tracks on the dock leading to the bungalow were worn and broken off, etc.).
the property was beautiful with a cool lagoon with plenty of fish, sharks and other fun creatures. The staff are extremely helpful and nice.
Lost my business forever at any Hilton by having their employees lie to us to try to keep us from dining off of resort property
This location is absolutely BEAUTIFUL! We stayed in a over the water bungalow! Even though I believe we didn’t get the one we paid for ( we paid for the premium king panoramic view. This should have been either the very end or either side of that and we were put 3 back from that!)it was amazing!
The best hotel in Moorea !
Birthday in Paradise
I was so glad I booked this hotel to celebrate my birthday in Moorea. The overwater bungalow was what I had always dreamed of! Hilton did a great job with this property and with the management as well. I had a great time here, and will always dream of going back.
Location was great. The bungalows are private and quiet.
Nice and clean, great staff very accommodating. Good food
Very pretty, friendly staff. Dinner was very okay.
OWB's are OK but not what we expected given the price. The food at their "fine dining" restaurant was terrible and the staff didn’t seem interested in being there. The reception area is unassuming and dated. The pool was also unimpressive. Overall, not worth the 30 minute taxi trip from the ferry.
We stayed in the overwater bungalows, and it was amazing. Being able to snorkel in the lagoon right off your own deck was incredible.
over water villas were great food and drinks expensive
The beach had corral and rocks. Wear aqua shoes to the beach.
Hilton Moorea
The best hotellroom I have had in my lifetime.
Great stay will definitely be back
Hotel needs major renovation and clean up of bird poop. They are understaffed in housekeeping and restaurants. Not where anyone should spend their honeymoon. The hotel was very stingy with amenities, service, and overall was a waste of cash. Multiple people everyday waiting hours to check in-with the rudeness of the staff who only demanded passports and credit cards. The staff member who checked me in refused to enter my Hilton members number and said since I booked third party there is nothing they can do. We received a Champaign bottle for our honeymoon- which was a nice touch but does not reflect the amount we spent on this stay. If I could go back in time I would have read more of the reviews and steered away. This hotel is more of a 2.5/5
Excellent property. Bungalows are roomy and well maintained. Crepe restaurant was very good. The other 2 restaurants were average, and the fine dining restaurant has a very limited menu. Breakfast buffet was excellent. Staff was very friendly and helpful. Central location on island. Many good dining opportunities within 10 minute drive.
The property was very nice, but extremely overpriced. We were put in a wheelchair accessible room, so we did not have tub, like other ones. The floors and balcony needs to be refinished as they stare showing lots of wear and tear. The balcony door was hard to slide open and had a loud squeak. The restaurant door was good, but service was real slow, and very disorganized. At times we had 4 servers waiting on us. This was confusing. The activities were way overpriced. We found our own activities at a much cheaper rate. Would not stay here again, or recommend On a positive note, the staff were very friendly.
Great hotel, great staff, great food at any restaurant, wonderful location with a private beach, and nice activities offered. Loved the welcome Champagne, hotel-branded cap and bag. Thank you Hilton. Unforgettable experience.
Austin was average at best. The overwater bungalow was good, but the reef has been immensely damaged so the number of fish around the resort are minimal. There is open smoking policy in the resort and members are smoking openly everywhere the restaurant and Food is Pathetic. The grill restaurant which is the only restaurant which serves lunch is the worst experience in a five star resort the staff is non-attentive and the drinks are water down in the food is worse than a fast food restaurant. The only saving grace of this resort is that Hilton and most members I see probably have some kind of Hilton reward, which is why they come to this place, I would not recommend this resort to anybody and I will not ever visit this resort again if I come back
An escape in paradise
We had a very relaxing 3 night stay in a garden bungalow with a private pool, which we actually never used because the main pool and beach were so inviting. The location is absolutely gorgeous and quite private. The hotel was fully booked but did not feel crowded or noisy. The staff were all very friendly and helpful. The concierge helped us book our excursions with Albert’s Tours. We highly recommend their ATV tour and Jet Skiing to swim with the sharks and manta rays. Alberts tours offers better rates than the hotel’s, and they pick you up from the hotel and drop you back. We also enjoyed the breakfast buffet, especially the omelette station. However, as others have said, the food for dinner is so so and very overpriced. We enjoyed the Polynesian show but again the buffet was overpriced. The spa offered a lovely relaxing experience before our long flight home. Finally, the grounds are well maintained, but the rooms are outdated and definitely need a refresh. All in all, this resort offers a quiet relaxing escape in paradise to unwind from the rat race. It is not the destination if you’re looking for an active nightlife experience.
Friendly staff, beautiful lagoon, food was a little disappointing given the price. There were better local options but in all fairness we only ate at the Rotiu a couple of times and cannot comment on the other options. Overall we enjoyed our stay and despite a sold out hotel we never heard others when outside enjoying our private pool.
Planned Power Outages
Beyond disappointing stay. We saved up to splurge on the over water bungalows. The property is stunning but all three nights we stayed there were planned power outages. Made trying to sleep extremely difficult as it was hot. Repairs should be done when guests are not staying at the property.
Restaurant food is ridiculous expensive, no activity at all .
The
The resort was beautiful. Staff kept the grounds clean. We liked our bungalow w a private pool. We had a garden bungalow very close to everything. The following were our dislikes : Dining options - only one restaurant on the property. We did not eat here. Had a bad breakfast experience. We paid $80 for 2 adults ( my son ate free) for breakfast buffet. We arrived ready to eat at 9:30am. ( We came straight from the ferry @8:30a, checked in). Needless to say we were very hungry from our overnight in the airport. How disappointing to see no omelette station; only sausage, bacon & fried fish for proteih choices. I was very dissatsfied with the Hiltons buffet, it looked more like a continental breakfast. There was a bar & grill, that offered overpriced burgers & pizza, Rotui Grille. Food was okay at best, but the cocktail drinks were not. Either too sweet or too sour. I suggest they improve the drinks w a mixologist and retraining. I really did not taste any booze at all. My husbands a bartender & he makes a great Mai tai. This has been my only vacation this year and I was looking forward to enjoying a good cocktail on the beach. Instead we went to the market to purchase a bottle of rum. Power outages - for a 5 star resort I would not expect the Hilton to have planned power outages. They had several during our short 5 day stay. The second lasted over 6 hours during the night. I woke up hot and sweaty, due to no ac; I slept very bad. I was given $200 refund, so that helped.
Fantastic snorkeling and great sunsets. Happy hour was so beautiful and great drinks to watch the sunset! Breakfast is kind of meh but not a lot of other options. Polynesian show was fun, buffet was good. Dinners would get repetitive so it was nice to have some other dinner spots to go to outside of the resort.
Beautiful time in Moorea
The Hilton Moorea was wonderful. It is located centrally to get to either side of the island for shopping, dining and excursions. The location in the lagoon offers beautiful water, a large private beach and spectacular sunrises and sunsets. The property is very nice, immaculately clean and in pretty good fondition. Reviews mentioning it being in need of a refresh are being too overly picky. A few broken tiles here and there and some wood is a little warped but that happens when you’re 7 feet from the ocean. The service was gracious and friendly throughout. We did numerous excursions booked through the hotel (ATV, jet ski, etc) and recommend them all. We had the garden beachfront room with a private pool - room was large and very nice with a lovely private pool. The only criticism I have of the property is that the food is fairly marginal (we had a car and since our food was not included in our rate, we choose to eat out for many meals). There is also very little nightlife at the hotel, in the area and in Moorea in general. Ultimately an A+ but recommend exploring food offsite
Great hotel and location
This hotel was recommended and it was great. We stayed at the Manava afterwards and prefer this hotel. Better food and the people working were much nicer.
One of the most gorgeous hotel I have seen. Husband, teenage son and I would love to come back soon. Staff are very nice and helpful. Breakfast is good but food is just ok. The underwater rooms are beautiful and so relaxing. It was just a dream. We had one of the best vacation here relaxing and disconnecting from the world.
This hotel is getting dated. Our family wanted to. Visit Mo’orea for the first time but felt like prisoners here. Extremely high prices & no where near to eat some where else. No cars to rent and no where to shop. You basically are stranded at this hotel. I did not think Mo’rea would be like this but we all felt ripped off.
Excellent hotel over lagoon
Excellent stay and service. Location is fantastic especially over the lagoon with incredible views and snorkeling abilities. Would stay again. Highly recommend 👍
We loved everything about this property. The Staff, the facilities, the food. The overall experience was very calm and friendly, and made us feel as if we were by ourselves.
It was beautiful
Everyone should do this once in their life! OWB was spectacular.
Location is gorgeous, but I was pretty stunned by the dilapidated condition of the grounds -- particularly the decks on and around the overwater bungalows. For the price, could nobody have gotten out a can of paint?? It made the whole place feel depressing, despite its fabulous setting.
Great snorkeling. Love the over water bungalows!
Unflexibel front desk staff Dated bungalows Overall not the greatest experience
We had a good time at the property. Spent most of our time on excursions, food and beverage was expensive as is throughout French Polynesia. Their mixed drinks were very questionable and very expensive. I’m sure they did not know how to actually make them.
Beautiful Property. Service to be desired.
Pros: Property looks exactly as pictured and truly breathtaking. We booked the overwater bungalow and loved being able to jump in the clear water for a swim whenever we wanted. Restaurant, pool staff, and housekeeping were so nice and very helpful. Cons: Food is resort food and to be expected. Just okay. Lost a star in the rating for the front desk service. No help with bags on checkout from the bungalows. No help with taxi or transportation like what was offered at the Hilton Tahiti property. Not much help when booking excursions so recommend researching activities before you go.
Have stayed at this resort several times over past 22 years. The staff is always kind and personable. Facilities are well-kept and comfortable.
This is a beautiful aging resort. The bungalows are spacious and have plenty of outdoor space. The resort is well maintained, the staff is very friendly and accommodating. The daily breakfast offered a nice variety of food with buffet service with a featured omelet bar. The restaurants are expensive but there are plenty of good restaurants that will provide pick up service. All in all, a great hotel for a stay in paradise!
Overrated, overpriced for the value. I’ve stayed at many other 5 star hotels and am surprised this Hilton is considered 5 stars making me assume they’re paying for that ranking. The hotel had cheap plastic lounge chairs scattered around and the entire resort is in major need of renovation. In terms of sustainability, I wish there were more water fountains throughout the property and I was surprised they didn’t have filtered water. Also, why the confined koi fish when at a snorkeling paradise? So unnecessary.
Overrated. Poor bang for the buck. Stay at Airbnb or Sofitel instead. Resort needs renovations.
Relax and Enjoy
We had a wonderful stay. The concierge was very kind and helped us recover a bag lost at the cruise terminal. The water is amazing and we enjoyed snorkeling several times. This hotel is a must for visitors to French Polynesia.
Omg - Moorea became our favorite island to visit and Hilton over water bungalows, its location and amenities and activities certainly played a key role in us falling totally in love with the island. Highly recommended resort to stay atleast once in your lifetime.
We chose the Hilton Moorea expecting a certain standard from the Hilton brand, but unfortunately, our experience left much to be desired. The room didn't match the photos, with a worn-out deck and pool chairs lacking cushions. The toilet seat didn't stay up, and there was a persistent bad smell in the room. We received a room upgrade after complaining, but it's worrying to think that many guests may face similar issues without speaking up. Additionally, we encountered problems like old, stained pool towels and an expensive breakfast buffet, leading us to eat elsewhere for the rest of our stay. We'd recommend renting a car to explore nearby breakfast spots, as the hotel's dining options were average at best. The overwater creperie restaurant emitted a sewage smell, which raised concerns that sewage might be leaking into the water. We reported this to the staff. However, the staff at Hilton Moorea were incredibly friendly, reflecting the hospitality of French Polynesia. We appreciated the room upgrade and enjoyed the beautiful lagoon area for swimming, snorkeling, and kayaking, where we saw fascinating marine life. Despite these positives, the numerous negatives lead us to rate this hotel with only two stars.
Great location. Great value. Friendly staff. Save thousands over bora bora. Get south west room. 109 is the best!
Worth the time it takes to get there.
The view from the deck/balcony was amazing the service and staff were very friendly and accommodating.
We were greatly disappointed that the pool was closed for renovation--a fact hidden behind a note about ferry schedules. We wouldn't have minded missing the pool itself, but the pool closure actually included the heart of the resort, so all but one path to the main restaurant was closed and barrier fencing was intrusive. However, that closure should be over now, and based on glimpses of the new pool area, it should be fabulous. Staff were friendly, but a little slow to serve in the restaurant. The food was mediocre, except for the creperie which was excellent and any dish featuring tuna. Our over water bungalow was wonderful. Worth paying extra for, for the views, the slightly cooler temperatures, and complete absence of flies. The one thing we didn't like was the lack of privacy of the toilet...in its own room but open to the roof, so sounds carried easily. In the end, despite the less-than-perfect things I listed, we enjoyed our stay.
Beautiful hotel. Has beautiful views, access to the beach and plenty activities to do.
The pool was under renovation and closed, which wasn’t disclosed when booking. The resort did offer a daily credit towards hotel amenities as well as a half day trip out to another island for the inconvenience of no pool. The beach was wonderful. The food was ok. No working ice machine for the garden bungalows. Moorea is incredible, though, and we would stay again. (But would check to make sure the pool was open!)
Beautiful one of a kind snorkeling, canoeing, and paddle boarding in a private bay. Sharks come out at night with lights to see them. Infuriate the resort was under construction to see the rest. Limited dining choices.
A beautiful room #85 well kept daily
The water and views were spectacular However at 1000 night the deck and walkways should not look so tattered. The ice machine was broken for the whole week. No english tv chanels to watch at night The staff were fantastoc
This property is amazing. Everybody should do this. You will not miss out on everything and everybody. It was a trip of a lifetime.
Excellent, but food no good
Everything was excellent but the food. The first night we ate dinner at the hotel restaurant. We ordered pasta and shrimp salad. The pasta has no taste and the shrimp line was not removed. I can't believe this is a five-star hotel's chef level.
amazing place and amazing staff
Excellent
I did not like that Expedia did not warn me that the pool would be under construction during our stay. It was a very unpleasant surprise upon arrival.
Water clarity and snorkeling was outstanding directly off our bungalow. At night we could feed black tipped reef sharks fresh fish - right off our balcony. 😎😎
Great start to our trip
We had an OWB and the room is what made it for us. The snorkeling around the room was amazing. We saw sharks and rays daily along with dozens of fish. We took advantage of the paddle boards and kayaks and snorkeling equipment daily. We even rented a car directly from the hotel one day and drove around the island. They gave us ideas on what to stop and see and it was seamless. The pool was under renovation so the property felt a little small, but there weren’t many people so we didn’t feel crowded at all. The Creperie was 10/10 the food was great and the evening fish entertainment was even better. We tried to eat at the other restaurant one evening but there was a little class fusion and language barrier on what menus were available, so we ended up ordering room service, which was great. We did have a huge cockroach in our room one night which added a little excitement, but we were able to capture it and put it outside and didn’t have an issue after that. Overall a great start to our trip and would definitely stay here again.
Spectacular nature. Limited menu.
Helpful staff, beautiful property. Our room was clean. Phone didnt work but we enjoyed all the amenities
Perfection is what comes to my mind. The hotel is absolutely amazing! We stayed at an Overwater Bungalow. The staff are phenomenal and it sets this place apart just because of the excellent service of the staff that goes above and beyond. We were there for our 28th wedding anniversary and they truly made it special. I asked if I could order a head hei and they made it happen in a few hours! There is an ongoing construction of the swimming pool but that did not bother me at all. But because of this, they gave us a complimentary boat ride and free lunch to a private beach. Our stay was totally beyond what I imagined it to be. Can’t go wrong choosing Hilton Moorea.
Our stay at this property was amazing. The over water bungalow had its own swimming dock and ladder into the bay. The service was incredible, every staff member made us feel like the most important guest, each time we interacted with them. Tours can be book through the resort, we did the ATV tour and it stared right outside the reception building and it was one of the most interesting tours we have ever taken. The staff will assist guests with arranging transportation and dining reservations to outside restaurants. My wife and I were very pleased with the experience and service. In our opinion the Morrea Hilton has set a very high standard for service excellence.
The property is very small, with minimal activities area. The staff wasn’t too helpful, often gave wrong information. Food options were only two, some nights only one. None of the dining options offered an air-conditioned room. The Christmas and New Year's buffet food was average, and the show was pretty good. The dining room was so hot, we were sweaty and completely wet, it wasn’t enjoyable. Room conditions were old and dirty, and ants and roaches were often seen. One good thing is mini bar in the room was free. Lack of service in the activity area often had to wait for a while to get your towels exchanged. I wouldn’t recommend this place to anyone, especially if this is your first time in Tahiti. It will ruin all the great impressions of the island. This is our 8th trip to Tahiti, and this is the worst.
Accommodations were quite spacious. Staff very friendly and helpful. Premises clean and safe. Snorkeling was fantastic. Would highly recommend!
Go to Moorea, book the over water bungalow!
Perfect place to relax and unwind. Moorea is beautiful and this resort highlights the best of the island. The beach, the lagoon, the snorkeling, the food and tropical drinks.
Tired property needs a face lift , management need paying lot more attention to bug control in the bungalows.
Lovely, terrific staff, very poorly maintained
The service and staff were spectacular. The people working there are kind attentive fun and very helpful. My disappointment is because it is not well maintained and I blame Hilton for that not the workers. The pool was only half full during my stay. There are chunks of concrete out of the bottom of the pool, the stones on the pool deck are cracked broken or completely missing. While the rooms are beautiful, the light switches are old and scratched, the shower wand sends daggers of water at you, the bottom steps into the ocean are covered in algae. The deck is missing screws and bounces up and down when stand in one side or the other. The boardwalk to the bungalows is rickety, missing pieces of wood, screws are loose so planks are uneven and easy to trip on. For what I am paying I expect these little details to be attended to. I stayed at the Hilton in Tahiti for 1/3 the price and the amount of maintenance there is much more visible both in how the facilities look and the workers who do the work. Hilton needs to invest in the employees to maintain the property better. I came with a friend and we thought we’d be surrounded by Honeymooners. While there were some, we were surrounded by many small children instead. It’s us a very family friendly resort.
Hilton Moorea was absolute paradise! Food and staff were great!
This is a beautiful property with an aquarium all around you. Plenty of fish to see! If you eat at the crepe restaurant then you will see sharks. Stay in an overwater bungalow. You won’t be disappointed.
This property does not deserve a 5-star rating. We stayed in an over-water bungalow, which was great! The coral reef was beautiful, and we enjoyed the snorkelling. The staff was not overly friendly, and if there was one word to use to describe our trip, it was inconsistent!! The first night, we were encouraged to do the buffet dinner; it was HORRIBLE. Over $200 per person. The oysters made my husband sick, the food that was available was overcooked, didn't have any name plates, and the only thing I ate was cucumber slices and olives. We waited 45 minutes each night to order drinks and food, yet there was staff everywhere. Sometimes the table bread was warm, sometimes it was cold, and others it was rock hard. The second night I ordered the " Italian pasta". It looked like a clump of 50-cent noodles covered in a can or watery tomato sauce. I sent that back after looking at it for 15 minutes because our server didn't come back to check on us. I flagged someone else down and ordered what I thought would be a safe option.... Greek salad. I was served a plate of lettuce soaked in olive oil and feta cheese. No olives, cucumber, tomatoes, or peppers. We ended up eating outside of the resort for the rest of the trip. We were told that the mini fridge would be replaced every morning free of charge. We didnt't drink anything out of the fridge until our 4th night when my husband had 2 beers. I called the desk to see about getting a 3rd one and they said no, the service was done.
well done Hilton!
my stay was absolutely extraordinary with hubby, highly recommended the overwater bungalow, and you just can swim/walk (shallow water) to see the fish and coral with crystal clear water in this very quiet place! check-in is smooth, food are good with nice vibes
I stayed here with my husband for 2 nights in an overwater bungalow, and I really loved this property! The staff was so nice and friendly, it was great striking up conversations with them them. The food was good, I wouldn’t say it was the best I’ve ever had but I wouldn’t call it bad by any means. There was a café about a five minute walk off the property that we would go to for lunch, so that was a nice change. Really beautiful lagoon and I loved taking the paddle boards out. The beach was a little small, so I’m glad we had the overwater bungalow for swimming. I would definitely recommend and stay here again.
Water access from water bungalow.
I enjoyed my stay here, however, I dropped a star because I paid for the pandaromic room but my room was looking out to sea and not a pandaromic view and I still got charged for the same price as a ocean view.
Wouldn't hesitate to book again
We were in a king premium overwater bungalow, which was spacious and comfortable. We were right next to the observation dock at the end of the pontoon, which meant people were there every morning for sunset/sunrise, doing yoga during day, etc. and it wasnt a problem, just couldnt leave windows free to enjoy the view. Outdoor patio and swim deck made lagoon access easy...snorkeling off our bungalow was amazing. We arrived at 8 AM and were able to enjoy water sports and amenities until our room was ready, and there was a complimentary bottle of champagne and macarons waiting for us. Front desk, food servers, and all the staff were great. Pierre at the pool/sports desk was especially wonderful with recommendations and island knowledge. For early arrivers like us, they provide snack on your arrival, but dont let you access the full free breakfast, which honestly seemed great that morning until next morning at breakfast we wondered why we couldn't have just accessed the main breakfast, which was not overrun. Food wise, breakfast was a huge variety and very good, lunch restaurant was also good (loved the chicken fafa) and we only ate dinner on property once. Would recommend if you want easy access to good snorkeling. Not really anywhere to walk beyond property.
We enjoyed our stay so much at the resort. The staff and service were excellent. I do wish there had been a few more options in terms of food options, such as appetizers, etc. The breakfast buffet was very lovely. The chef that prepared the egg dishes did such a wonderful job. The food options were incredible. This is an excellent perk for the hotel. I appreciated how smoothly everything went in terms of booking with Expedia. Thank you so much:)
Perfect honeymoon location!!
The natural beauty of the property is truly breathtaking. Snorkeling right along the reef outside your bungalow. In fact, we saw a spotted eagle ray swim right under our bungalow the last morning of our stay! Staff was always attentive and friendly. The gym was one of the best on the islands (we stayed at 4 different properties total across various islands). The pool could use a facelift, but why use the pool when you have the crystal clear waters right there? The views alone are worth every penny. Breakfast buffet was solid.
It’d be nice if they were more client-focused
Nice and cozy resort in a nice spot to watch both sunrises and sunsets. It’s relatively cheap compared to Bora Bora (where stayed before Moorea) but the service is indeed poorer. At Hilton, we experienced unfortunately less care of their guests (very little attention at check-in and check-out, not prepared personnel by the pool, especially the tall and black-haired guy at the pool who’s so annoyed even when asking for towels, waiter at the beach restaurant forgetting about your order, etc). Beach sun-beds and tables are not cleaned and if you ask for something to clean them, they’ll give you a napkin 😅 The room is though amazing and am very clean, and so are the seafood plates prepared by the chef.
This is not a high end resort or at least the price does not match the the service . food is mediocre , concierge service and activity desk are not coordinated and very disorganized , they forgot to schedule the pick up at the airport and forgot to book all The activities confirmed via dozens of emails . I would not recommend this place for high end honey moon . Island is beautiful, people are nice , simply said this hotel should not charge this kind of rate unless it has the service and food to justify it . Many other places offer better experience and service at the same high price.
this hotel was a DREAM. we saw so many beautiful fish by sitting on our bungalow or along the walkway. we loved kayaking and paddle boarding. beautiful sunsets on the dock. have a floral reef made by Nina who works in cafe. if you drop few bread crumbs the fish all come but even if you don’t there are so many. the water is crystal clear.
An amazing couple’s vacation! The location is beautiful and the staff extremely helpful and friendly. We definitely want to return!
Amazing property, breathtaking views, staff very welcoming and helpful.
Tired, Outdated, and Uninspired. AVOID!
I rarely ever leave reviews that are negative but this was unbelievably disappointing stay for our honeymoon. We stayed in Tahiti, Bora Bora, and Mo’orea. Our hotels in the former two were great. Hilton Mo’orea was abysmal. To start - we had to call maintenance every day we were there. Here were our calls: 1. We had lizards in our room upon check in. 2. We had no AC middle of night needed them to come fix. 3. We had bug infestation attacking a open can of sprite we had out for couple hours. 4. Toilets and all plumbing for hotel was out so we couldn’t go to bathroom and flush or bathe (THE WHOLE RESORT) for 24 hours. 5. Our shower didn’t work and needed to be fixed. In addition, the food is mediocre bordering bad (except crepe place which was good). The service is awful. We were room 41 and we knew they were laughing at us and talking about us right in our faces when we’d call. This is not luxury nor is it even mediocre. I’ve been to three star hotels that had better accommodations. Avoid and go to Sofitel or Cooks bay. Our honeymoon has sour ending because of this tired, outdated, and uninspired resort. Hilton do better. Not sure how this is 8.8/10 on hotels.com. Fooled us; don’t let it fool you. There are better places to go (we know because we went to dinner at Cooks bay twice to eat real cuisine).
Beautiful resort
Absolutely beautiful place with lovely staff!!!!
The hotel has one of most beautiful beaches in the World
everything about this property is AMAZING! accommodations, food, hospitality, views - MUST STAY!
Property was top notch the breakfast buffet was great and the all the staff is super friendly
Overpriced and dated conditions. The food was mediocre. However, the location is in the middle of paradise so it’s hard to be totally dissatisfied.
Hilton Moorea Lagoon Resort and Spa | Home in Moorea-Maiao | Travala.com
Having stayed a few days earlier at the Hilton Tahiti, I was quite surprised at how run down the Moorea Hilton was. The dining chair cushions were all torn with the stuffing exposed, the over water bungalows were in desperate need of maintenance, decks need to be treated, the room needed to be deep cleaned, and furniture cleaned. This hotel was not up to par with what other Hilton properties.
