Lacks the quality you expect from a Hilton

The service staff tend to be interns or juniors who are helpful but lack experience. Also in my room, most of the electric sockets were not functioning. I would say the hood point about the hotels is it’s central, right in the city. Breakfast spread was also so so.

Comfortable and well priced…

We got a two bedroom suite that was well appointed, simply decorated and very comfortable for the four nights we were there. The staff are all very friendly and professional. My only gripe would be the weird smell in the lobby, it’s smells like an open drain pipe at times.

The Wifi worked somewhat ok (not properly) only at the lobby, not in the rooms, and kept on dropping off. Not great for a business hotel. Breakfasts were not up to standard either, especially when busy. There’s still no gym and one has to go all the way up to the Hilton next door.

Business Trip in Windhoek

Hilton Garden Inn is nice, the rooms are very comfortable and excellent quality. Most of the staff provide good service. Unfortunately when I visited last week the entire ground floor around reception smelled like a sewer - whatever caused that needs urgent attention and fixing as the smell lasted the week. Parking is still irritating just like at the original Hilton! Avani across the road validates parking tickets and covers parking costs with a lower room rate so I ask myself why doesn’t Hilton cover our parking given the higher room rates? In general it was a good stay but I won’t book again until Hilton Windhoek provides guests with safe secure free parking! This should be a given when booking a hotel for thousands of NAD per night per room.

This is quite a new hotel so they still have some issues. Check in is at 2, but rooms were only ready at 17:30, so we had to wait in the foyer. Restaurant personnel also needs more training. You wait a long time to be attended to at dinner and also for food to come out. Overall once this is sorted, it will be an amazing hotel

Hilton Garden Inn Windhoek - 3 nights

It was a great stay. The WiFi can be improved to enhance the guest experience. Consider an IPTV System and a Chromecast solution as well. Add more channels. Otherwise it was a great stay. I will comeback

Great hotel, they know how to win customers

My stay started with a sour note, I had booked an airport pick thru the hotel and it was confirmed however no one came to pick up and I had to negotiate with the taxi hounds of the airport, it was an ordeal. Upon checkin at the hotel when I vented to the staff, Beata, she assured me she will fix it. I was offered complimentary breakfast for my stay which was not included in my booking. and for my next booking after a few days (which I thought I may cancel due the first bad experience), they offered to upgrade me to a better room. This room was perhaps the best suite in the hotel, overlooking the church and Independence Monument. I appreciate that staff realized the mistake of missing airport pick up and offered enough to win me back as a customer. Throughout my 2 stays , staff was very warm, welcoming and friendly. Breakfast was great, wifi was fine (I was able to work easily), rooms were good, location is perfect. One night the fire alarm went off due to a technical error, and next day the Manager apologized to all the guests at the breakfast personally and individually. I am very impressed with the hotel, staff, services and above all Beata, well done! I will highly recommend staying here and I will myself stay here for my future trips, Namibia is beautiful.

Solid hotel

This hotel standards were as you would expect from any well-kept Hilton in any other part of the world. The room was a good size and had any modern amenity you could need. The bar and restaurant facilities were very good (the rooftop bar in the partner hotel next to the Garden Inn was particularly nice). My only complaint was the overuse of an air freshener machine and spray bottle that the staff used in the entryway, could get to be overpowering at times, and not pleasant if you had to wait in the lobby for any appreciable amount of time. Relatively minor quibble, but the stay would have been pretty much perfect without that one negative element.

Nice property but despite booking at the Garden Inn, no one was working when I arrived so a cleaner led me next door to the other Hilton where they checked me in. A bit confusing but the service and room were nice.

Hatte 2 Aufenthalte, in 2 Wochen dort. Im ersten Zimmer haben sie es nicht geschafft, den kaputten WC-Sitz, in 4 Tagen, auszutauschen. Im 2. Zimmer (für eingeschränkte Personen) fehlen die Hand- Duschtuchhalter. Außerdem müsste der Spiegel im Bad in der Höhe flexibel angebracht werden.

I stayed at the Hilton Garden Inn Windhoek on the night of Sunday 25 August and had a terrible experience. I booked the hotel because I needed to sleep well before a very early start the next day (4am). At midnight the fire alarm went off. We went downstairs to reception and after waiting for 30 mins we were told it was a false alarm. We went back to our rooms to sleep. At 2:10am the fire alarm went off again. We went back down to reception again and were told that again this had been a false alarm. By the time I left the hotel at 4am I was told that the problem had not been fixed and that they had opted for shutting down the alarm system. Having a faulty alarm system creates a very dangerous situation: the more false alarms, the less likely people will comply and the more danger that the hotel is putting its guests in. Shutting down the alarm system is also an incredible risk. I asked for a refund from Hilton Garden Inn through my booking agent and my request was denied. I find this to be completely unacceptable. Not only did the hotel not meet the most basic service a hotel should provide (allowing the guest to sleep), but they also put us at risk by not complying with safety standards. This is an embarrassment to a renowned global chain like Hilton. I will never stay in a Hilton hotel again.

Atendimento antipático

Hotel novo e moderno. Padrão Hilton. Quarto espaçoso. Porém atendimento ruim, seco. E trocaram as toalhas do quarto com atraso, apenas à noite. Academia sada a do Hilton ao lado, o que é muito boa. Piscina boa bem no meio do hotel sem privacidade.
