It’s okay- services great. Don’t bother with half board meals, not worth it due to set menus is so limited with options & drinks not included. Breakfast was ok, provided great services.
Facility is Ok - standard Hilton inn. Location is walking or short local drive to the Hanoi busy old city. Breakfast was ok, 1/2 board meal nothing to desire with local/western types of food. Decent but not thing else special. Like laundry services.
My stay at the Hilton Garden Inn, was great the staff were amazing and most helpful. The hotel is located in a great place for the Old quarter
Good - would stay again.
Good service and breakfast. Comfortable bed. Good location. Carpet stained and room a bit worn but it was very clean. No issues. Would i stay there again? Yes.
Maybe time to upgrade the Room TV. Otherwise no complains.

Comfortable stay in old town
Certainly! Here's the revised version with a touch of Hanoi's charm: I stayed for three nights on a business trip in Hanoi. The hotel is located in the heart of the old town, providing an authentic experience of the city's vibrant atmosphere. It’s perfect for leisurely walks to the serene Hoan Kiem Lake and exploring the bustling streets filled with shops and street vendors. There are numerous local and international restaurants within walking distance. The staff is exceptionally motivated and friendly, reflecting the warm hospitality Hanoi is known for. The hotel restaurant specializes in delicious Vietnamese cuisine, capturing the unique flavors of the region. However, the quality of the Western dishes, particularly the pastas, could use some improvement.
Cannot recommend
Nothing special. Mediocre breakfast buffet. Uncomfortable bed. Lobby staff not very helpful
Very nice rooms, great customer service. Our 2 rooms were not next door but at least it was on the same floor. The breakfast wasn't worth the price, the only best thing I ate there was the Pho Hanoi. Broth was hot and delicious. Meat tender and flavorful. Rooms were big, nice, clean. Wi-Fi was good. Had a great experience, would stay here again.
Nice Staff, Great Location, and Enormous Room.
I enjoyed the large room, although the carpets were worn out. The room next to me had wood floors so you must be in the process of replacing the carpet. The staff at the front desk were helpful and friendly, Ms. Anh at breakfast was delightful, as were others like Thuy. The location of the hotel was excellent, it was easy to walk to Ho Khiem Lake and other attractions very easily. I would stay again.
Ok
Nothing to rave about. Average for Hilton. Need to look to upgrade and refurbish. Slightly dated and old. Convenient for central Hanoi and old town.
Excellent breakfast with lots of choices. The hotel is close to good restaurants. Walkable distance to places of interest.
Place to stay in Hanoi
We spoke to staff even before making reservations.Advice given and recommendations made helped us to plan our visit. Vu and Chi went out of thier way always to feel us welcomed. Best travel advice in HANOI better than travel agents.
Great staff and service
Great staff at the breakfast hall and reception, we really liked to stay in this hotel, they were always very helpful. If we come to Hanoi again, we'll definitely stay in this hotel.
Stay in the Hanoi Hilton!
Nice place to stay in Hanoi, and you can say you stayed in the Hanoi Hilton! ;) Free self-service laundry is a huge plus. Rooms are decent and staff is very good.
l enjoyed this place. I would stay here again if I came back to visit. The staff was very nice and helpful.
Very helpful staff. Excellent breakfast buffet. Very large selection of food. The exercise room could use more equipment. The room is very nice.
Nice and polite staff. Convenient location. Comfortable stay.
Staff is super friendly! I think the bed was the most comfortable thing i’ve ever laid on. Fluffy blankets and pillows. Many things to do near hotel
nice and convenient
Great hotel amazing staff
The hotel was fantastic and the staff was absolutely the best they were so knowledgeable and helpful and friendly. The hotel was super clean and comfortable we loved our stay there.
Very good. Reception is excellent (Ms. Chi & Ms. Thu)
Very friendly staff, quiet atmosphere and clean..Very nice and pleasant experience on the whole. Love to visit again.
Excellent staff. Great food and very clean. Would return and recommend friends.
The hotel was in a great location. We walked everywhere. But the hotel needs to be updated. The rooms are quite old and run down. They helped us book a tour which was fun and we really appreciated that. The staff are all super friendly and helpful. We really enjoyed the welcome tea.
Staff were extremely friendly and helpful at the front desk. Provided us information with about "must sees", a walking map and a little tour book which proved invaluable as we mostly walked everywhere
Hanoi is super Hot=Hot room
Super hot in Hanoi. We only get one key card so the room gets really hot and you have to wait till it cools down. The elevators are hot. The rooms are small and smell like wet carpet. They should just remove the carpet in my opinion. The cleaning service is great. If it wasn’t for the carpet and the hot room I would have been more happier. The bar downstairs was probably my favorite spot the bar tender was super nice and new English pretty well.
Quiet location. Room was clean and comfortable. There was restaurants around the property.
Overall, it was fantastic stay. However, the room was allocated to Disability Room and Water pressure wasn’t strong enough.... Since I chose this hotel cause of Hilton brand, good location.
This hotel did not represent Hilton big name, the services quality even so underwhelming compare to many smaller non branded local hotels.
Perfect stay
I stay at this hotel for 8 nights. Hotel is nice, staff are friendly. Near Hoan Kiem lake. Bed is comfortable and what best is it provide free self-serve laundry ( both wash and dry machines). Surrounding got many nice restaurants too, the store Obama visit is just round the corner. Traffic here is good. Will recommend to others.
2nd time staying in HGI !! Fantastic front counter staffs ! Always helpful & polite !!
Nice hotel in ancient town-- good bfast-- ask for room away from street or the road noise will keep you awake all night-- ottherwise great
nice body wash and shampoo from cabtree and everlyn
Great location and value. Friendly staff great location
great location close enough to the old city and other interesting sites; away from the sounds of cars and motors ....
It was a good choice
It was a good choice. Within good location and the staff are friendly and helpful
Rude irresponsible dont care attitude recep staff
There was a problem with the Wifi of the hotel and when I complained to the staff, they said it is working and never helped to check it. I complained to self claimed night manager (because he was not wearing any tags, neither was able to show any evidence about it), he said how was I impacted, and why am I blaming the hotel and asking him for the name tag etc etc. He had two other hotel executives again who were without tags who was standing and laughing. When I asked them that I will complain about them and the night manager, they cared less. They lied and never wanted to help with anything, not even afraid if I complain. Because of this I had to use my dataroaming, and due to which I had to pay SGD $573. I went and complained about this again next day but again no one cares. I have the video of the whole conversation with the so called self claimed manager, but I want to see what can Hilton or Hotels.com can do about it, before posting it on the social media
IN THE EMBASSY NEIGHBORHOOD, CAN WALK TO OLD QRTR
A pleasing clean facility. Not a lot of character, but hey it's a large chain brand, where you expect clean and comfortable. It was our first Hanoi visit, se we choose a recognized brand. We'd stay there again.
Great hotel would stay again
We enjoyed the location of our hotel. It was close enough to easily wall everywhere in Hanoi, but far enough from the hustle and bustle to retire at night. It is in a nice area - finance district and embassies are on the same street.
great value
first trip to Hanoi and the staff was fantastic. Especially Vy who couldnt have been more helpful.
The service of the front desk staff is fast and helpful.
Great place to stay in the heart of Ha Noi!
The staff is very caring and helpful. They didn't hesitate for a minute to give a helping hand. The breakfast spread was also amazing. Walking distance to anything you could ever need. Oh, and the scooters are awesome! I don't understand the way they drive, but it seems to work. i.e., no accidents and no one flipping the middle finger. people getting cut off one after the other.. It's fun to watch and be a part of!!! Great place and I fully recommend the stay!
A Good Alternative at a Reasonable Price
I usually stay at the Hilton Opera, but it was full, so I tried the Hilton Garden close by. I was still within an easy walk of the busy and fun Hoan Kiem area and five minutes from the Hilton Opera, where my meetings were held. Very convenient.
Fleas in the carpet
There were fleas in the carpet. Location was excellent. Other things were standard.
I love staying in this hotel for business trip
Good quality of service and reasonable price
Great location in Hanoi
Great location in Hanoi. Front desk service was ok. Not up to Hilton stsndards.
Stayed here just a few hours on a layover. A bit far from the airport (40 minutes in regular traffic) but but a comfortable bed was all I really needed. The area is nice but restaurants nearby tend to close around 10:30PM. Staff was very helpful in arranging transportation to the airport with a standard fee of 360,000 VND for one way.
Hilton Garden Hotel
Check-in was easy. But, room had water damage, no mini bar, pantry was small and poorly stocked, very small fitness facilities, no pool, and price was very high given the amenities.
Hanoi Business trip
Hotel is good for service, location and room comfort ,but a little over price compared to other local hotel in Hanoi.
Top quality hotel with great location and staff
Comfortable, welcoming hotel.
good business hotel
good business hotel, comfortable but not pretentious or top luxury, reasonable pricing location is ok for being close to things but not particularly attractiive
Ideal location
The location is very close to the lake and to all sight seeing places.
Great hotel, especially for English speakers
Not being experienced travelers, we wanted to make sure we stayed some place that would be familiar. This was the perfect place for us. It is located near but not in the old quarter so it was relatively quiet but within easy walking distance of many things. The breakfast was quite good and the staff was great.
Hotel for bsusiness people
Breakfast was nice
Comfortable hotel
Place was clean and convenient. Food from room service was pretty good. Breakfast not bad, perfect omelettes, would appreciate more jams besides orange only for 5 days though. Lots of fluffy pillows (I prefer harder with neck support but fluffy is good for many) and very nice bed. Didn't like that they turned off the a/c and heating, so had to call every night for them to switch it on; one time they even said they had to turn it in for the whole floor and 'was not possible'. Also, I took the iron and table the first day, and they never put it back in its place, was left there in the middle of the room for 5 days.
OK
Location was a little further from all the action but I liked it like that. Breakfast was good, room was comfortable, especially the bed. No toothbrush or toothpaste which was surprising. A tiny investment in this area will make a huge difference to one's stay. In general good but my check in experience was average. I booked a king room which was stated in my receipt only to find out when I went into my room, there were 2 single beds. I called down to reception and they said I booked 2 single beds and that's what I'd be given. I insisted I didn't but the reception said they have a full booking so we can't be moved. I told them it's unacceptable as I booked way in advance and I will show them my receipt for the King bed only after which did she agree to move us to the king bed room. So much for the "fully booked" statement she made at the beginning. A common excuse to be lazy I guess.
1st time Hanoi Stay
Very Good location and easy to walk into midtown are in Hanoi. Room was clean and OK but there was no Hair Drier and Tooth Blush set in Bath Room.
Great hotel in Hanoi
Staff was very accommodating my first room did not have a wifi signal so the next day they moved me to another room. Great staff, food in restaurant for breakfast wish it could be a bit different each day.
Excellent Service at a Difficult Time
I arrived late Wednesday night, on a holiday, with an injury I had suffered just before getting to Hanoi. The hotel driver called ahead to ensure there would be a wheelchair and staff on hand when I arrived. The staff were very concerned for my health and made arrangements for me to go to a good local hospital the next morning. I stayed 3 days and received great service the entire time I was there. Thank you to the whole team.
Nice, but small hotel
Decent hotel for the price fairly close to the Old Quarter. This is definitely the smaller and more basic of the two Hiltons in Hanoi. The gym is pretty basic, and there is only one washing machine for guest use on the top floor. Breakfast often costs extra, but the food is good and substantial.
All the comforts in Downtown Hanoi
The hotel is excellently-located in the heart of Hanoi, minutes' walk from the main sites and restaurants. The staff are gracious and helpful without being invasive. Breakfast is varied and delicious (albeit a little over-priced) and the lobby restaurant serves some amazing food. Wifi is complimentary and reliable. Would return here without a second thought.
memorable impromptu vacation
Even if there are cheaper alternatives in Hanoi, the service Hilton provided is worth it. The staff were very helpful and polite even if we arrived at 2am. The room was very clean and comfortable. Would definitely stay again in Hilton Garden when I go back to Hanoi and would recommend it to friends. Two thumbs up.
Upgrade needed
The rooms need an upgrade. They are old and they don't have the normal Hilton standard. But the location is perfect.
Good value in Hanoi
The Hilton Garden is within walking distance of many of the main tourist attractions in Hanoi, 10 to 45 minutes depending on which you want to see. The staff is friendly and efficient. We ate a couple of evening meals in their small cafe and they were very good at a reasonable price. We skipped the breakfast buffet at $15/person. The rooms are very nice and comfortable. There is also a free washer and dryer for guests. This was a real bonus as most hotels do not offer this. The one issue we had, that makes this a 4 instead of a 5 is the quality of the internet. Over 3 days, it was unusable 90% of the time; it would continually drop your connection in addition to being slow. As a tourist, I can live with it; if I were working, I would be furious!
Medicore hotel
The room is not so new but well maintain. The location is ok but not many good restaurant around.
Well located away from the busy traffic
Wonderful service and thoughtful staff. The waiters were extremely attentive. They went the extra mile to offer a ginger tea for my sore throat at breakfast! A good walk to the busy old quarters serving as good exercise and experience of local life along the way.
good value
the hotel is class a..and a great deal for the price
6 Nights at the Hilton Garden Inn Hanoi
The location of the Hotel is ideal as it is at the periphery of the old French Quarter. It has the advantage of being just away from the hustle and bustle of the French Quarter while only being a 5 minutes walk away from it. The staff were very helpfull and since we arrived early at 10am they were accomadating enough to allow us to check in early. The staff from reception to restaurant and Houskeeping were extremly responsive to our needs. The self laundry service is an excellant idea. The only minor comment was that the breakfast menu was the same for all the 6 days we dined at the restaurant. Finally Well Done to all the Staff at Hilton Garden Inn.
Somewhat disappointed
I had booked this hotel because of its name but when I stayed I have somewhat disappointed. Broken AC outlets. Toilet seat was stuck until I have to call for the emergency service. However, the location is great with lots of places to eat. Near the famous Hoan Kiem lake.
Reliable quality.
Moved into the Hilton after a disastrous stay at a smaller, "value," establishment in the Old Quarter. Glad I did. Was greeted with the reliable quality of Hilton and with near perfection. Good to know we have these options worldwide. Thanks Hilton!
Nice and friendly hotel
I had a wonderful time during my nine-night stay in this hotel. The hotel was moderately priced and the staff were excellent.. they went out of their way to make me happy. They helped me identify/give directions to the right restaurants, shopping, points of interest, and others. Room service was good and the food price was ok except for the breakfast which was priced little higher than other meals. Gym equipment was sparse but since very few hotel guests were using it, it was OK. Neighborhood was not the best but acceptable. I recommend this hotel to anyone.
Excellent hotel
Enjoyed our stay at this hotel in Hanoi.
Good hotel in a good location
Good standard of hotel. Good service. Food is ok. A lot of shops and restaurants in the area. Only downside was that it's slightly overpriced for what it is. The whole hotel is non smoking.
Good as a business hotel
I was pleased to be upgraded to a 2 room suite. The facilities were Hilton quality, but my stay was too short to investigate every amenity. Front desk was helpful with some special requests and spoke excellent English.
Good hotel, good service quiet area.
Good service, good standard hotel, value for money.
Great hotel with a reasonable price!
I really enjoyed my stay at Hilton Garden Inn Hanoi. The room is spacious, clean, location is very central yet quiet. Hotel staff are very helpful in answering questions and provide recommendations. It also has a self laundry facility which was very convenient.
Very good hotel at an affordable price...
It gives you the service & quality of "Hilton" which consumers expect around the world.. Ideal business hotel.. 24 hours gym for all house guests..
Good Choice
Good location, modern hotel, good service. Quiet street but not too far from the lake and the old quarter.
Comfortable room not too noisy
The only problem we had with the room was that every time we take a shower, the bathroom floor will be wet because the water drained off the bath tub onto the floor. We complained but nothing was done so we had to place some towels around the bathtub to soak up the leakage. Also the air conditioning in the room was not cool so we had to remove the thick comforters when we sleep and my wife had to use a big scarf to cover herself instead. Hotel needs to maintain the facilities properly.
like at home.
I really like this hotel. surely Hilton standards and top notch for any business stay. surroundings are quiet enough and everything is within reach. great coffee next door.
Good location, on the edge of the old quarter
Staff were very helpful, gave us a map of the city which was easy to follow and suggested how to get to the places we wanted to visit.
What a pleasant surprise this hotel was! It's a great hotel and the rooms are fantastic. I was sad to have to leave the hotel early the next morning.
Nice and comfortable bed
It's really good one.
Nice hotel, closed to our favorite eating sites
The hotel is in the city center, closed to famous traditional Hanoian eating sites. Room is clean and bright, however, deco is quite basic. Apart from basic toiletries like shampoo, conditioner & shower gel, the hotel do charge us for toothbrush & toothpaste, shaving kit etc. We were surprised when we first learnt that. Guess it's the "Garden Inn" class for you. Apart from that, staff was quick, bed was good with soft pillow. If you're looking for an effective choice with all basic needs provided for, this is for you. If you expect a 5 star standard with big entrance hall, decorative room, might as well check out Hilton Opera, a few block away in stead. Or any other 5 star hotel in town like Sofitel.
Hanoi
We stayed here several nights while exploring Hanoi. It was in a nice location, easy enough to get to the old quarter, or a short taxi ride to other parts of town. The staff were very friendly and helpful.
Excellent Ha Noi Hotel in Wonderful Location.
Many locations nearby for food, both street food and 5 star type. there are cabs always waiting outside, and even ones that accept credit cards (good for us business travelers looking to keep the expense reports short). staff is highly attentive, very helpful and speak great english. rooms were not only cleaned at the end of everyday, but even my laptop and phone chargers were neatly bundled. A little cheaper than the Hilton, with similar levels of comfort and convenience.
Very pleased"
Great hotel in a great location and very friendly and helpful staff to assist u.
Overall great hotel with supporting staff
I enjoyed the stay in this hotel and my experience is considered splendid. The hotel itself is relatively new, and the rooms are quite well furnished. Being there for business, I enjoyed the desk chair which was rather comforting. The hotel's location is very good as well, and apx. 15 mins away from the city center by taxi The hotel staff is excellent and very helpful. However, not much knew how to speak and understand English. Nevertheless, I understand the language barriers in the country. One thing which I didn't like much is that the minibar in the rooms is empty. You will then have to order room service, or go down to the hotel reception and choose your pick from the chips/chocolate/beverages/alcohol displays The internet, however, is terrible. Hilton should work to improve the quality of the speed connection.
Good service. Clean rooms
Breakfast need some improvement
Great option for Hanoi
Hilton quality rooms without Hilton pricing.
Fantastic staff and great service
I love Hanoi and this hotel is the best, the staff make it such a nice place to return to each day, they couldn't be better. The rooms are great, breakfast very good, all a lovely, lovely experience, Ii will return.!
Fantastic service
Service excellence
The service in this hotel is the highlight and main reason you should stay here. The front desk staff are the most welcoming and gracious of any hotel I have ever stayed at. They anticipate your needs before you can think of it yourself.
Close to action, quiet enough to sleep
The service at this hotel is top notch, the staff couldn't do enough for us. They were quick to bring luggage up, negotiate reasonable cab fares, recommend restaurants, extended our check out time to the afternoon to match our flight departure. The room was great, clean, comfortable with the neutrogena toiletries we come to expect. 5 minute walk to French Quarter. Stay here when you are in Hanoi, reasonable rates, great service.
great hotel, lovely staff
very new and in excellent condition. staff excellent - very friendly and helpful. room excellent - efficient ac, comfy bed, big bath, good wifi. breakfast scrummy with lots of choice - both local and european items.
Great hotel for business and holiday
This Hotel had only been open just over a month when I visited 15-19 May 2013, so although everything worked perfectly without any problems it lacked any warmth and character due to lack of guests - am sure this will improve greatly once more guests arrived. The facilities are extremely good, rooms really comfortable and dining simple but excellent. Staff very keen to help and their English excellent. The Hotel is well located in the French quarter, and Hoan Kiem Lake, with shopping streets within easy reach either walking (need to remember high temperature/humid) or inexpensive taxis. The Hotel lacked a tour desk and staff had little information or knowledge - they should be referring guests to their nearby sister hotel the Hilton Opera but hopefully this situation will change very soon.
아주 좋은 숙박시설
직원들이 친절하고 청소 상태가 깨끗하고 좋았습니다
It's fine for a business trip, but it's too basic for a tourist stay.

We have been treated like invited guests. We got high speed wifi without extra charge.
