Service was great
I didn’t like how have to walk to garage for my car
Architecture is great. Common areas clean and comfortable. Rooms we good size and in good condition.
Very tired facility. Beautiful with a rich history, but very tired...paint chipping, carpets... must cost a fortune to maintain...
Our first room the heater cover was coming off and the bed was too small. My husband is tall. Our second room, it took an extremely long time for the water to get hot and we only had one roll of toilet paper that ran out right before we left. I had to call to get 3 light bulbs replaced. They only replaced 2 because the 3rdhad a bulb but it was almost goldenThere was only one restaurant in the building and they had a small selective menu. However, you could order more from room serve but we weren't trying to stay in our room.
A beautiful historic hotel.
Great stay
Everything at the hotel was great. I have stayed here several times and so I always try to stay here when we are in Cincinnati. I have never had a problem with the hotel.
The self park garage was pretty dirty and elevators smelled pretty bad.
The room was not as big as we were expecting especially for what we paid for. Everything was very outdated, and it wasn’t in a super charming way. However, we did enjoy the restaurants and fun places in the area.
Good place to be to be near lots of good restaurants within walking distance
Great stay at a beautiful hotel! Kind staff
Very tired property.
Not many options for wheelchair accessible rooms that don't offer king or queen options...only 2 double beds
Super beautiful property. And very friendly staff.
Property is old. Not maintained. Door knobs falling apart. The paint was peeling in my room, the walls had cracks on them. My room had multiple bugs on the comforter and bed sheets. I’m unsure if they were bed bugs, but I showed the staff and they immediately gave me a different room and apologized profusely. While staff were nice, I would never stay here again.
I love the overall experience. Nice having breakfast in bed. I love love the big bath tub and the endless hot water.
Beautiful hotel
Generally nice old hotel pardon
It was OK but I'll stay somewhere else next time.
We've stayed at this hotel for 30 years and, while the public areas are beautifully maintained the hotle service was a disappointment. There have been some downgrades over the years. The noteable exception was the bell staff, who were excellent. There was a long wait to check in, then they told us teh wrong room so we had to go through the line again! The valet staff were rather rude and difficult to communicate with. We were told our electric car could be charged overnight but by 8:30 am it got only 1% charge, so we had to go to another charging staion several miles away. The room was fine. The beds were not fabulous, but OK. It was clean. The view was nice.
Good
Beautiful hotel in downtown Cincinnati. We loved the hotel bar and restaurant, it was a little pricey but still nice.
Room was cold even though we turned up the heat
Love this hotel! Staff is always more than willing to accommodate. I highly recommend this hotel. Thanks a million!
Netherlands
Great trip. Spectacular hotel with over the top artwork everywhere.
Stayed here a few times now and it’s a great hotel, great location, love the hot tub room!
I absolutely love the historical architecture and the bar is a historical treasure. The bar staff are so kind and welcoming. Especially Morgan whom I am always happy to see on every visit. However, on the last three trips, the front desk has been rude and virtually useless. I asked if we had a river front room and they just shrugged. I asked if we could have one and they just said "no". Last time I was there, they also said there were no riverview rooms, but we later found out there were. They gave me the wrong info about parking, saying there is no garage connected to the hotel. They also told me they have never offered happy hour even though they do. Housekeeping never cleaned our room and there was a dirty glass by our door that was still there when we left 3 days later. My relatively high rating only reflects the historical beauty of the building, the bar, and the spaciousness of the junior suite which I really appreciated.
Thank you for letting us stay there
We loved this hotel. It’s historic and beautiful. We had an amazing view of the city. We were a half block from the ice skating rink and beautiful tree. The staff were so helpful. The dining options at the hotel were fantastic. We will stay here again.
Beautiful building- room was Old and Cold
Gorgeous lobby, bar and wedding venue. Friendly front desk. Hallways smelled musty and old. Our room was small and dated. These were not the main problem- the No Hot Water was the problem. They sent someone up who ran the water for SEVEN minutes before stating that “it just takes awhile”. He left. My husband took a shower, saying it never got very warm. I waited a few hours before taking the next shower. The warm water ran out after a few minutes.
Great hotel
We loved the history of the building, the architecture and beautiful touches, and the location.
I like the building architecture, the rooms, the privacy, its location to my work place, and the internet speed and access. Breakfast is great and restaurants bars and pub conveniently surround the hotel.
You have to pay $35 a day for parking. The room was dirty we found a sex toy in our room. No hot water. The workers didnt speak english that cleaned. No trash bags. Constrution every where and they chain the doors at night.
All went well.
Room was wonderful. Water in shower could have been hotter. Friendly staff. Terrance took time to show us some areas we asked about in the hotel. Wii definitely stay here again.
Good service and an historic building
Very nice and everyone super friendly. Would have preferred to be able to watch football at hotel bar, but there was sports bar right across the street. Free parking would have been nice too.
When we checked in, the room that we requested was unavailable. We were told all of the suites were out of order but were not given specifics as to why. They struggled to find us another room but proceeded to put us in what felt like a studio, on the 28th floor. One of the elevators wasn't working so trying to get anywhere within the building was time consuming. The building is very dated and needs a lot of work and cleaning. Parking will also cost you a small fortune. The only positive was it's within walking distance of the stadiums in downtown Cincinnati.
Nice but could be better
Hotel was nice a little old hot water didn’t work Saturday morning and there was no microwave in the room.
The stay at the hotel was great, the staff was great . The parking situation was a real OMG experience. Understand that everyone doesn't want vallet parking . Parking in the garage was fine but , their is a real disconnect with proper signs and directions on how to even get in the hotel from the parking garage . We were literally lost simply trying to get in the hotel at 1AM in the morning. This was the most frustrating thing ever in my life . We had to call in the hotel 2x to get directions on how to get in the hotel. After that it was still take the garage elevator to #2 and walk to enter another entrance . That part is enough own its own . At the least place signs giving direction . We travel a lot and that's a first .
Old building but maintained.
Was a good stay thanks
Great
Very nice hotel overall. Little disappointed in the tv’s and the elevator is pretty slow. They had a huge event on Saturday night and it was nearly impossible to get an elevator. Also found a dead cockroach on the steps in the lobby. Gross.
Very nice bar restaurant art deco very cool
We are enjoying our stay so far. We booked the Hilton to be near the tree lighting on Fountain Square and we are pleased to have restaurant choices and a friendly and helpful staff here in the hotel.
The property was conveniently located within the Cincinnati area.
In need of repair.
This is a beautiful historical building and I understand it is very old and in need of some repairs. That said, for the price you pay it does not all add up. The "deluxe" room was fairly small, the bathroom was tiny, and dirty. We didn't even want to use the shower as there was a huge glob of repair spackle that looked gross and untrustworthy. The elevators felt a bit scary at times but held up, thankfully. The lobby bathroom(mens) had one stall and it looked like a port-o-let. I'll spare the details, but it was gross. The good parts: The bar is awesome and the bar/restaurant staff was fantastic! We were there for a gala event and the room/staff/catering was really nice and welcoming. In closing, other than attending an event, or visiting the bar for drinks and live jazz we'll likely skip staying the night. I hope they find a way to fix the aging and historical charm this hotel has. It truly is a landmark in Cincinnati.
It was average
This is a must see and stay in for Cincinnati. I return periodically as I'm from Cincinnati, but this has been on my bucket list ever since I heard my dad's school had dances here. The art deco is phenomenal.
We have stayed at this hotel a few times and always enjoy it, this time we had a large room and loved the extra space too.
The facility was clean and the staffwas friendly.
This hotel felt like a time capsule. The public areas with their art deco interiors were stunning. The rooms have seen better days for sure. Chipped paint and weird plumbing. The hotel also had a musty smell when you first walk in. I think the price should be lower considering the shabbiness. The staff were amazing though. Very courteous and attentive. So kudos to the service staff and housekeeping for doing their best.
I liked the convenience of the space near galleries and downtown life.
Property was clean and staff was friendly!
Outdated but kinda cool with all the old original marble & paintings
The hotel was in a great location to everything. We were there to watch the Bengals walking distance to the stadium. A lot of construction going on around the area, our toilet was leaking, there was no hot water. For the price we paid I would have expected better than that. It was clean and aesthetically appealing. Food was pretty good and decently priced.
The building is really neat; it looks like the Empire State Building...very art deco. The location is fabulous for attending Paycor Stadium, and I loved the fitness center. The queen room is tiny and dark with only two lamps to light up the room. There were problems with the elevators all weekend; I had to walk up and down from the 15th floor on Sunday.
My whole life I wanted to stay at the Hilton at Netherland Plaza. The elegance and class of the Art Deco style is evident throughout the building. I LOVED the 1931 Room. The staff was just as classy as the venue. Their friendliness and welcoming nature made for a perfect stay!
This property is in a convenient spot downtown but being in essentially abandoned mall makes it weird.
The staff at the front desk and the bell boys were extremely helpful, friendly and courteous.
Having 2 bathrooms and a living room was the greatest
Lovely historic hotel. Excellent service. Easy to check in and out.
This hotel is a beautiful historic building right in the middle of downtown Cincinnati. Every inch of it looks like an artist helped design and build it. The staff was friendly and helpful. The restaurant and bar are really nice. My only gripe is that I thought my bed was too firm. I was uncomfortable a good part of the evening and did t sleep that well. My wife on the other hand thought the bed was great. I would suggest this hotel to anyone visiting Cincinnati.
Old and needs updates badly
Very old hotel. Yes, it’s historic but it needs lots of updates. Not worth the price. The elevators were scary. Some numbers never changed do it was difficult to know what floor you were getting off on. Room service didn’t show up even when requested. We are supposed to get $30 off but at the time we checked out, the system was down so we will have to wait and see. They also charge an extra $50 per day for amnesties which will be taken off your credit card at a later date. It’s a little spooky as confirmed by other guests. The shower is in a bathtub. Definitely not what we had hoped for and our check in girl was like a computer. Not friendly at all.
This hotel was built in 1931 and retains its magnificent Art Deco and Arte Moderne aesthetic. It’s an old hotel and it’s a very big one, with lots of space to maintain and renovate.
It’s a old hotel but is holding pity well, well located and friendly staff.
Check in was horrible and the first two ladies at the front desk were absolutely rude!
The Lounge area was awesome,we had several meals and family get togethers down there, the drinks were great also!
Beautiful Art Deco hotel.
Excellent location - very walkable to dining and shopping.
🙄
Beautiful vintage hotel in downtown Cincinnati
Beautiful historic feeling hotel in a location with plenty to do at an affordable rate.
Nice but very dated
Hotel was over all nice, but the room was old, pillows were not comfortable at all, extremely flat. (Never been one to travel with my own pillow, but I would have needed 6 of these to make one good pillow 😂) sheets had a few holes in them. Paint flaking off the ceiling in multiple areas. Flooring/carpet was sticky. The water bottles that were left in the room were already opened .
2 bathrooms was awesome! Air condition worked great the bar was fantastic.
Not impressed with the room. The property was ok. Loved the history of the building but the rest lacked needed attention and updates. My room the paint was falling of the ceiling and base boards were all deformed and paint chipped off. The room smelled like dirty feet and bleach. For the price very disappointing!
Older hotel with smaller rooms, older fixtures. You're paying for location.
We enjoyed visiting this historic landmark and recognize that things are old and do not always work correctly but we would definitely recommend the experience to friends and family. The hotel is just beautifully crafted and makes you feel very pampered and special. The staff were all very friendly and accommodating.
Great hotel
Convenient location & reasonable rates was main reason for stay this time. Stayed here many times over 30 yrs. Never a bad experience!
Very cool building
Cassie at the front desk was amazing - She made sure we got the right room and that our stay was superb.
Location and food were good. Service was terrible. It took 5 minutes to answer the phone and over 25 minutes to get a bellman. Valet parking was quick though.
This is a beautiful hotel with a nice restaurant and bar. Staff are very friendly and helpful. My only complaint would be room preparedness. There was only one coffee cup and three towels for four people and when we called for additional towels we never received them. Not a deal breaker but just attention to detail. I would still recommend this place and would stay again.
Great location right downtown so convenient to everything. Hotel is old however and could use some updating in terms of carpet condition and decor. Also long waits for elevator at busy times, appeared only 2-3 of 6 operating.
Nice stay
The parking was a little challenging at first, but a hotel worker was very helpful and then the help support at the kiosk was very helpful to get us out of the garage.
This is the hotel we were married at and still is wonderful!
Lovely old hotel
Charming, but at least one problematic room.
Beautiful old hotel with lots of character and 1930's decor. Restaurant and bar were excellent with live music on Friday and maybe other nights. Good wifi. Wonderful location: we walked to restaurants, museums, RiverWalk, and more. Our 14th floor room would have been adequate except for (1) the appallingly noisy air conditioner which roared on noisily and rattled off noisily. Each of us were awakened at least a dozen times both nights leaving us exhausted on our return home. (2) No HOT water for 3 out of 4 showers, even after leaving it on for 10 minutes and reporting it to front desk after first bad experience. At best it was room temperature. (3) Door lock ran out of battery which needed to be replaced in order to get us back in. Good thing we weren't trying to get out to catch a flight. Replacement was done quickly and professionally by friendly servicemen. (4) Polite and sympathetic front desk said they would have provided us some compensation, but couldn't because we booked with a third party (hotels.com) instead of directly with the hotel. Friends on same floor had no problems. Perhaps our room was an anomaly.
Excellent location
Cigarette butts all over the sidewalks
Surprised by how the hotel has been allowed to deteriorate. The rooms/whole hotel REALLY need updating!
The property was very dated and drab. I switched rooms the only difference was the lighting. The rooms are very dusty, the carpet needs to clean the mirror had streaks, the body wash was empty. The room cleaners pay very little on how they clean the room. It was not what the Hilton brand is about. The rooms were a disappointment.
Beautiful building, great cincinnati reds hotel. I will return!
First I must say, the staff are some of the friendliest and helpful I've ever dealt with, especially the front desk. This is a really interesting property. The architecture is absolutely gorgeous, especially in the lower floors and conference area. It has a really cool history and it's just a beautiful place. The guest rooms, however, are a bit odd. They've definitely stuck to the historical footprint and so the rooms are all different shapes and sizes and the space isn't really used well. For example, my two queen bed room itself was enormous, although there was a lot of wasted space. There was a huge walk-in closet which was bigger than the bathroom, which is pretty tight. I stayed there because I had a conference in the hotel, and I'd probably stay again if need be because for me, none of this was a deal breaker.
Front desk staff at check in was not welcoming. No personalization at check in. Wrong room type was given vs what was booked. Night one, tried calling guest services and front desk for 20 minutes from in room phone and personal phone. No response. Had to go to front desk for the assistance. Waitress at in house restaurant was terrible. Told us multiple times we were in the way and asked to move because of potential wedding guests coming to the bar/restaurant. Those guests never came during the 1.25 hrs we were there. Would not stay in this location again due to the service or lack of service we received.
Property in need of updating, painting, new flooring. Staff at check-in was efficient but rather blunt in their comments.

No.
Not a drop of hot water from Weds-Fri. Hotel is downright SCARY. Rooms are tiny and outdated. Valet parking is $49 for ONE NIGHT. That’s $24 more than the Hyatt, which is Nextdoor. I wouldn’t stay here again. I will say the doormen & Corey the bartender were the only redeeming qualities of this hotel. They are great.
