Excellent location and services. In Room dining could be better but that's all.
The room was very old and needed updates.
This property was absolutely amazing. I cannot recommend them enough to anybody who is considering going. The staff was absolutely amazing. Check-in was absolutely amazing management absolutely amazing.
Few days in Cairo zamalek
The location is great, 10 mins walk to several cafes, restaurants and shops. There is also a cafe outside the hotel where you can buy nice coffee and brunch. The rooms are a bit outdated but if you are lucky there are some room a bit better with huge balcony! The breakfast is not good and needs to be improved. The staff are friendly.
One of the best customer service from a hotel staff that I’ve experienced! The hotel itself is a bit older, but the hotel staff were committed into making sure our stay was hassle free. They called the room to check in on us to make sure we were having a pleasant stay and if there was anything we needed. They even called to ask how the food was for room service.
Great views on the Nile and amazing service!
Great location, restaurants and a great place to walk around.
I loved my stay at this hilton. The staff took very good care of me. I wish had gotten there names but everyone was so nice and accomidating. I booked a sunrise camel ride at the pyramids that had a driver pick me up at 5:00am in the morning and the security guard( older gentleman) went to make sure my driver was legit before letting me in the car. The food was great and the lounge was relaxing. If i had one complaint js that i hate that the pool closes when the sun goes down. I would have loved to go in the jacuzzi after a long day of tours.other than that if i ever find myself in cairo one day i would consider coming back. Great staff, walking distance to bars, and very secure.
It was a lovely place to stay. Husna who checked us in made me and my kids feel so welcome. She did everything she could to make this stay as wonderful as it could be for my parents and sister too. We would stay there again!
Superb Hotel and Staff
Everything from Checking in to checking out was excellent.. Staff very friendly, polite and professional… One of my best stays and will certainly come back when visiting Cairo.
Beautiful experience
The room are outdate for a hilton brand.
Over all average
We had a great time playing in pool. Excellent quality service and stylish Hotel.
Clean
Nice staff
Located in the quiet and safe neighbourhood of Zamalek, overlooking the river Nile. It was a clean and safe hotel. Although the property is in need of repairs, and although it was not necessarily one of the best Hiltons we have stayed in, the staff nonetheless did their best to address whatever issue came up during our stay. The assistant front desk manager (Ibrahim Ahmed Shaltoot) was particularly helpful and caring when we complained about a maintenance issue with the room and the slight injury my wife suffered. The only issue that might ne worth looking into, is the smell of smoke coming in through the air conditioning in a non smoking room, which was acute when the AC is above a certain temperature. Thank you to the following people for their hospitality: The checkin staff (Hazim), The restaurant staff (Mahmood, Hanen, Abanoud) and Hassan the room service manager. Will definitely consider staying here again.
Well placed in embassy row and close to excellent dining options
Fantastic stay in every way
Great place
Considering it was a Hilton. It was a GREAT Disappointment. It was very outdated. The lobby was poorly lighted. When we arrived our rooms were not ready. We waited nearly 45 minutes. As well the package included breakfast. But, because we checked in “Early “ we were charged $17.00 per person for the Continental Breakfast Options. The food was not good. However the staff was amazing I would not recommend this hotel
beautiful view of the city, nice pool, nice staff, but the hotel is a bit old
We found the receptionist name is Husna, she is very polite and helps us a lot.
The best place for stay in cairo
Really it was excellent stay specially staffs Was great and hospitality I have special thanks to Mr Hazzem in Reception he did the best for all group.
The location is good and safe. The hotel is in need of renovation - not just the public areas and the pool that is currently happening, but also the bedrooms , not as clean as it should be. The cotton bedding was worn out and not white anymore. I do not like the staff allowing people to smoke in eating area - even in egypt.
Husana was extremely accommodating, professional and fun to be around. You are lucky to have her.
The staff of very friendly. I chose a room with the side Nile View. I was expecting to be able to sit outside and was disappointed. There are two electrical connections in the room, one in the bathroom and and the other one where you eat up the water for coffee. No USB or charging port connections for electronic devices. The breakfast was ok and they have a nice tea lounge to chill in.
The location and view of the hotel is good.
It was disgusting and dirty! Even after requesting for it to be cleaned it was still dirty. Smelled horrible, sheets were dirty, I found hair in my bathroom tub, my sink was clogged.
Great breakfast selection. Friendly staff excellent maid service she worked so hard and left little sweet touches
All are good
The service was great !
Friendly staff
From the greeting to checkout the staff here were amazing in all matters. They even encouraged trying Egyptian breakfast and discussed trying it at home.
Everything about the hotel was great
The hotel was very nice, well kept and comfortable. The staff were friendly and went over the top to please.
I think I’ll give this place a 7 out of town. 10
I got a very rude attitude from the statf and the building looked old and it looks like it was breaking down. The room was nice but the room service and breakfast also was very ok.
Beautiful rooms, pool and dining area. Great staff
Pretty good hotel. Every small thing is an extra charge though so keep that in mind.
The area was amazing in heart of Zamalek , but I didn’t like the room because of old furniture. But overall I’ll give them 8 out of 10 .
Great location. With a fantastic view of the Nile. Quiet. Clean. In a charming part of Cairo, with many embassies nearby.
Amazing staff, very nice hotel and facilities. The area is not particularly walkable (not sure much of Cairo is). One negative was room service on food. Had multiple ordering issues (everyone was nice about it at least).
Worth it
Beautiful hotel in safe district. Staff were all wonderful and very helpful.
Hotel needs a face lift. It was dusty, dirty carpets. Needs extra cleaning. Staff were nice and helpful.
Great hotel helpful staff good food.
Lina
Nice location, clean, helping reception staff’s especially Husna Dina..
We were upgraded to a tgree bedroom apartment as a courtesy, our requests for late checkin, late checkout were granted promptly, and the staff were excellent. The location is also ideal for us. Definitely plan on staying there again.
Excellent hotel. Staff very friendly. Suite was huge and amazing. Safe area. Gated hotel.
The staff are greate , the hotel is old but they are so friendly ❤️
Without staying in other similarly rated hotels in Cairo it's difficult to say if my poor experience was due to the conditions of the city or the hotel. It may be a 4 star experience for a 3rd world country but not for what we are accustomed to in western countries. They tried but the smell of diesel and dust that is pervasive throughout cairo was in the drapes and bedding and hard to escape. Staff were friendly and courteous and the breakfast was enjoyable.
Decent hotel in Zamelek, Cairo
Solid hotel, decent amenties and dining options. Great location right on the Nile
Location is great. The rooms and bathrooms needs urgent renovations.
Thank you
Lovely people especially the guest relations who introduced our tour/taxi guide. Thank you
Property is excellent.
Pool was closed due to maintenance but Hazem gave us an upgraded room with amazing rooms! He was very helpful and made our stay amazing. We are planning on returning to the same hotel because of him even though the pool and area on the Nile is closed for maintence!
Girl in from desk is the best. The boy Also good. The y make you feel the you arriving in to a hilton.
This was our first time in Egypt and it was just perfect! Ibrahim at the Hilton welcomed us with open arms and made our stay unforgettable. We arrived early to the hotel and he got us an early check in and made sure we had a well deserved stay throughout my booking. This hotel is very clean and the staff are super friendly! The views are amazing!!!
Ibrahim Gaber helped me from A to Z thank you ibra
Very good place and good experience and from first day to last day I was so happy for everything
The hotel is very old the lobby is very small. The building internal design is like a maze. The furniture is too old. The bathroom is terrible. This hotel needs to be totally renovated.
Very warm welcome from the staff, wonderful room with a fabulous view of the Nile and the city of Cairo. Great breakfast
Home at the Zamalek Residence
We received a very warm welcome and were given the Royal treatment. The Zamalek was extremely clean and decked for the holidays. The moment we arrived we felt comfortable. Once we entered into our generous and extremely clean and organized rooms we were at ease. Big thanks to Ibraheim, Zeinab, and Hazem for making our arrival so inviting.
The property is located in a good area compared to the rest of Cairo, but still the area is very dirty and messy. It's in an area were there are some embassies so it's heavily guarded but because of the lack of consistency in the type of guards you feel more at risk that safe. Like a war zone.
Very old and not clean even the restaurant is not so clean
Wonderful accommodation, fantastic staff and facilities.
Trip of a lifetime
Wonderful hotel. Clean and modern with excellent views of the Nile. The restaurant “Nile Breeze” had a fantastic breakfast buffet. The lunch menu also was great.
I love the location of the property. I book a deluxe king had to move room As it was a smoking room the first day. I had to sleep in that room as I been told the hotel is fully booked I got few asthma attacks. I was moved the next day. This property is in needs a major update. Every thing is old carpet furniture. The cleaning is not the best the air filter is disgusting as I’m a facility manger and worked in hotels no way I would expect that to my guests. Also why do they close the pool early people go out and tour the city and than they need a dip in the pool. Also. I felt very uncomfortable walking with my swimming trunks through the restaurant. Also, why is the gym and sauna on the mezzanine level and no access except again walking through both now restaurant and the main lobby. Why is the dust on my nightstand? Also the towels are old and not lush. I yhis I was staying at a Howard Johnson not the Hilton
We spent a total of 3 days in Cairo at this property and one close to the airport on our last day so we were able to compare the two. If you've ever been to Cairo you know there's a ton of traffic 24/7. This hotel is located on an island, Zamalek, in the middle of the Nile which this property has great views of the nile. The pool faces the nile. We felt super safe walking around zamalek and there are great restaurants within walking distance of the hotel. The thing with Cairo is there are no walkable sidewalks on their streets, so you're stuck walking in the road and traffic in Cairo is CRAZY. but on zamalek the streets are clear and not a lot of traffic so you can walk in the street and feel safe. It's pretty clean as well on zamalek and traffic noise is minimal. The street this hotel is on also has a lot of Embassies so there is a lot of security along the streets which is good not that I ever felt unsafe walking around Cairo. I would stay only on zamalek again if I were to go to Cairo again.
Good Location, nice staff, Mustafa at the front counter and all his colleagues are very good and helpful, spacious room, good views. Thanks to everyone there
Location on the Nile. Very clean and outstanding customer service along with the breakfast
Excellent
Amazing
We had a marvelous stay at Hilton Zamalek. Wonderful interiors, excellent Service,Very reasonably priced too for a luxury hotel As We booked for one deluxe room but we were super upgraded to their Suite with 2 beds, 2 full baths, kitchen, living room, conference room etc. It was very nice of them to allow us to experience their suites. Overall, everything was top notch in this suite. Their buffet breakfast by the pool was also another plus point in this property. Last but not least, the view of Nile from the twenty first floor was mind blowing. The suite has a balcony that covers 270 degrees view of the city of Cairo and the Nile. We highly recommend this hotel. Thanks to all the nice and friendly staff in this hotel to make our stay here memorable especially Ibrahim from the reception.
Excellent sauna and pool
The staff are great! The sauna and pool are both fantastic! Great location! The hotel needs a bit of work, but overall it was great. I missed having a bathrobe and slippers.
The ambience is great. The staff are courteous and warm.
When i arrived, they could not find my reservation. After what seemed like an eternity, they found it. Although I paid for a river view, I have two building so close to my balcony, the view is very limited. The hotel is stately-almost magnificent! Security is super tight--armed guards at the perimeter gate & even a bomb-sniffing german shepherd inspected the taxi before we were allowed to enter. Very safe & hospitable staff!
The staff was very friendly and professional. They accommodated our every need and always did it with a smile. The restaurants were all exceptional and the food was amazing.
helpful workers but they need more english so customers are more understood , the hotel is old or dated , rooms with carpet and probably from an old dynasty , the old bathroom cabinets are very bad , good food very good breakfast overall i would not go back to this hotel
Great property and staff
Everything about this hotel exceeded my expectations. From the security guards to managers, the staff are all polite, friendly and professional. The place is really welcoming and along with the location (busy but very safe) the outside noise level being very low compared to many hotels in mainland Cairo due to being situated on the island of Zamalek, the hotel's bars, restaurants and pool, there's nothing not to like. The hotel is also spotless. Very highly recommended.
For an older property, not bad at all. The suite we stayed in was large, very large. 3 bedrooms, 3 bathrooms, 2 sitting rooms, dining room, and kitchen. Spectacular views of the Nile as well. The kitchen was not well stocked, and it the apartment could use updating. However, those details can be overlooked if you want a spacious stay in a safe neighborhood with great Nile views.
Definitely was a very opción … breakfast just GREAT 😊 the staff very friendly… we recommend 💯
Great hotel, but service not up to the expectation
The building has all the features of a 4-star hotel, the restaurant is very nice and the tea room excellent. Location is excellent, central and very quiet. The staff is "about right", with the hotel entrance staff that doesn't speak any English, while the reception staff has a very good commandment of the language. Unfortunately, room cleanliness leaves much to be desired. The carpet in the rooms seems very old and it gives the room an hostel-like feeling. Looking behind the furniture (like bedside drawers) will reveal piles of dust, like if no one has ever been bothered cleaning the carpet by moving the furniture. In our bathroom we found red stains (difficult to tell whether they were jam or other liquids). The furniture in the rooms is very old. It goes without saying, one might expect a bit more for the room prices listed for this hotel.
Its close to everything. Super safe and hotel view is so beautiful
Best choice
Perfect location in Zamalek, well-run and comfortable, good internet (in the daytime), excellent breakfast.
Great Choice
The thing that made this hotel so good was the very good staff here. Everyone was very friendly, professional, and very very helpful. The breakfast was excellent and the view from my room was fantastic.
Very clean, very spacious rooms, very nice staff, great neoghboorhood for restaurants. Serenity on the Nile was somewhat distracted by construction. Check to see if they're finished before booking.
Very good for families with kitchen and bedrooms. Housekeepers are very good and kind. Room service is very responsive. View is beautiful overlooking the Nile with lots of light in the rooms. Good internet connection.
A must stay for families or a group of friends.
We got so lucky staying here. It was such a nice American style hotel. We actually had another fancier Egyptian hotel but we decided we wanted an American style. You don’t have to drain a lake to get hot water, the rooms & guest areas are very clean, great service and very secure. The luck was we got two bedrooms, full kitchen and laundry facilities. Again we were so lucky to end our trip in this hotel
Crappy customer service, hard to contact
Even though we tested positive for Covid 19 and already had some financial burdens to deal with, the hotel refused to make an exception to their policy, preferring instead for us to check in while we were sick, apparently.
We'd come back anytime
Superb location in Zamalek. On same street with many embassies. We walked from the hotel to the surrounding and never feel unsafe. Rooms arrangement may feel strange at first, but you will get a hang of it. Water pressure and temperature were both good. Sound insulation was also good
I had a Nile view. Awesome, especially at night. The staff were very friendly and helpful. A sumptuous breakfast buffet with a view of the Nile was an added bonus.
It was a bad experience I would never book there again. Staff is annoying and cleaning is bad
Great staff, great position, safe area.
Great views of the Nile, easy to find, quiet area, pleasant stuff and great food
Excellent location! Great facilities. Wonderful staff. Very nice inclusive breakfast buffet. Warm pool. Spectacular views of the river Nile.
Nice view
We booked for a 2 bed deluxe room but we were super upgraded to their Ambassador Suite with 3 beds, 2 full baths, kitchen, living room, conference room etc. It was very nice of them to allow us to experience their suites. Overall, everything was top notch in this suite. Their buffet breakfast by the pool was also another plus point in this property. There were lot of breakfast items to choose from. The wait staff was really nice and even baked some of their special dishes personally for us. Last but not least, the view of Nile from the 23rd floor was mind blowing. The suite has a balcony that covers 270 degrees view of the city of Cairo and the Nile. We stayed only 2 nights here. I wish we could stay here longer. This was a rare but good experience for us. We highly recommend this hotel. Thanks to all the nice and friendly staff in this hotel to make our stay here memorable.
Staff treatment is great poor in cash back refund without any courtesy Food is salty not tasty Nice pool Staff uniform is very old The smell of disinfectant in the lobby is annoying Car parking 13$ per day Traffic jam to reach the hotel, narrow streets
