We had ants crawling all up in our bed and in the room

Not close to falaraki poor facilities

Only chise this hotel for a one night stay as it advertised as a 13 min walk to falaraki beach..its a 30 min trek/hike up hill from the beach or a 10 euro taxi. The freezer did not work the shower flooded the bathroom and they had a kettle but no cups to drink anything hot from

Great staff everywhere, daily cleaning and a pool at this price is amazing. The owner especially is very kind and helpful there are shuttles going straight into the center 3 times a day.

My one disappointment was poor kitchen cooking/eating facilities and equipment. A table would have helped and a knife for slicing bread and tomatoes.

Good hotel

Felt safe at this hotel. Rooms were clean and functional. I had no issues during my stay. Staff were friendly and helpful. If I return to Rhodes I would book again. There is a bit of a walk into town and a hill so be aware of that however there is shuttle service 3 times per day.

Wonderful family run place, quite and relaxing

Lovely family run facility, they were all very helpful and approachable for anything. The room itself was pleasant, amazing views of the hills and bay and the balcony was large (we were in the Earth Suite). The pool area was lovely, clean and tidy at all times, plenty of sunbeds available. There were however some very minor issues, the bed was a not very comfy (the mattress was thin) and there was only 1 thin pillow each. The cleaners would also come at varying times of the day, somethings really early in the morning, sometimes late in the afternoon, so it was hard to make sure we were up on time, or if we didn't need to worry. There were a few small insects hanging around in the sink but this isn't really a fault of them, it's just the area it's in so no negative marks here :)

Staff very friendly and helpful. Free transport into Faliraki if you didn't want to walk. Poolside breakfast excellent. Pool very clean. Lovely atmosphere. Very little noise.

The staff were lovely, the location perfect and views stunning. The only slight fault is the swimming pool food menu is quite expensive compared to food you can get in town. But we had a really lovely staff and would definetely come back!

A home away from home!

We stayed at Hillside for 2 weeks and absolutely loved it. The staff treats you so well and do everything they can to help you if you need anything at all. You feel like a part of the family. It was delightful to wake up early for breakfast where the staff greets you with a big smile and then get a ride with Charlie at 11 to Faliraki, who is probably the sweetest man you can find in Rhodes (He drives at 11,5 and 8) and drives extra trips if there's more people waiting than can fit in the car. The reception also greeted us with a smile everytime and helped us with any questions we had or when we had to call a taxi. We will definately be back to Hillside as it is the best resort either of us has stayed at. We miss it already and the two dogs who follow the sweet grandmother around everywhere she goes. Thank you Hillside!

They didn’t mention that the breakfast was not for free but told us about it making as think it was for free. So in the end we had to pay for the breakfast we ate and we were informed about it in a bad manner, like we tried to steal it or something

Clean, friendly and very welcome place to stay. I was a guest last year and I was very happy to go back

i have stayed here before and the whole experience was just as good as the last time I got a free room upgrade and there isn't anything that is too much trouble for the staff to do for you

Great place and great staff going back next year

Super place couldn’t do enough for us while we stayed and we booked for next year already. They also have 2 restaurants in town that are top class with great staff to.

Very friendly hotel.

The hotel staff couldn't have been more friendly and helpful. This was my first holiday on my own and I was really made to feel welcome and looked after. Went out of season but loads and loads of sunbeds, nice pool, and the bar served pretty reasonable food and drinks from 8am til 10pm. Easy walking distance to Faliraki and a very easy 3 minute taxi ride home. Great location for exploring the island and room was basic but clean and air conditioned.

Excellent hotel and staff

We stayed here for three nights in September. We were upgraded to a junior suite which was huge, and immaculately clean. Bathroom was modern , with toiletries, hairdryer and clean towels daily. Restaurant was reasonably priced and food was good. The staff are all polite and helpful, nothing is a trouble. The free shuttle bus takes you to the centre of faliraki and returns at teatime, you can walk this in around 20 minutes. Everything was good, will be returning next time we go to Rhodes

Friendly and helpful

Staff are fantastic, friendly and extremely helpful. Nothing was too much trouble for them. A family run location giving a very chilled out experience.

Friendliest staff ever

The staff at this hotel were brilliant, they went out of their way to cater to us, and managed to get us discounts for the beach water sports. Only downfall is the distance from the beach, but they do offer a bus service, and when that's not available the taxi was only €5.

Decent hotel away from the noise of Faliraki

Nice hotel on the top of a hill. Not much around the hotel to do/see. The room was spacious and was cleaned daily. The wifi was not working at the room, but it worked fine at the common area e.g. pool, reception.

Nice place to stay!

Hillside Studios is very nice place to stay in Faliraki. It's up on the hill and there is no city noises. Very friendly and helpful staff. Car rental is on a good price. Kindly offered transfer to the airport was cheaper than a taxi.

Great hotel

We had a wonderful stay I would more than recommend this to anyone and if I ever find myself back in Faliraki I know where I'll be, the staff were amazing the food was amazing, the pool was beautiful and the only fault I have with any of it, is I couldn't get wifi in my room.

Ok hotel, far from beach

The main problem was the lack of internet. Although they have wifi, it never works after lunch when people are back to their rooms. I didnt like the locks either. Too simple, just a key for a simple lock.

Nice place - close to town

My friend and I stayed at Hillside Studios for a couple of nights. The staff were very welcoming. The room was really tidy and quaint. The only downfall was that you had to pay extra to get AC and the shower would leak on the floor. The hotel is up on a hill (hence the name), and is a bit of a walk from the main town (about 15-20 min). There you can find buses that run to the old town and back. The hotel is located in Faliraki which known for their party strip which consists of a number of bars and clubs (also a 15-20 min walk) as well as the beach.

Tyvärr var ett av våra rum väldigt dåligt städat. Bra frukost. Gratis transfer ner till Faleraki strand uppskattades. Dock var färden obehaglig då vi klämdes in för många vilket gjorde det omöjligt att använda säkerhetsbältena. Chauffören körde även galet fort.

Een familiebedrijf dat allen heel erg enthousiast en behulpzaam is. Service is heel goed! Bij vragen of problemen staan ze direct klaar! Ontbijt is voor griekse begrippen erg uitgebreid en lekker. Elke dag variatie en verse bereiding van warme producten. We hebben 1 groot minpunt. De schoonmaak. Deze is echt onder de maat. Er kwam dagelijks iemand, maar verder dat een beetje de vloer, bed opmaken en afval legen kwam het niet. In ons verblijf niet meer omgekeken naar sanitair. Aanvankelijk zouden we zo nog eens boeken, echter laat schoonmaak ons twijfelen.

The accommodation was not as nice as it looked in the photos. The mattress was simply awful. The cleaning was done early in the morning, so it was impossible to get a good night's sleep. The pool, however, was fine. The staff at reception were not very helpful. The kitchen was dirty and so were the dishes.

C'è molto meglio in zona.

Appena arrivati abbiamo cambiato 2 camere. La prima pioveva all'interno dal soffitto,la seconda il wc perdeva acqua dal pavimento. La terza dopo la richiesta a pagamento dell'aria condizionata di ben 10 euro al giorno ,il climatizzatore non rinfrescava niente. Hanno climatizzatori di ben 20 anni vecchi ( riscontrato sull'etichetta di fabbricazione del clima). La pulizia non è il massimo. In 8 giorni e stata solo rassettata senza MAI dare una scopata a terra.

Good for a family

Perfect hotel for family of 4. Two doublebeds, two bathrooms, two aircons. Clean, basic rooms, a little dated but ok. Good housekeeping. Nice little pool area. A little far away from everything so a car is almost must to have.

Perfect, we couldn't have asked for more. Friendly staff and very friendly owner family. Clean rooms and all the convenient services and amenities you need on vacation. A nice pool area with a pool restaurant that offers drinks and food. The hotel also has a 24-hour small shop for small needs. In the evenings it was nice to spend time in the hotel lounge, where you could also buy drinks. The location was good and peaceful and the hill as well as the trip to the center was not as bad as I first suspected. Would definitely come again.

Ihana loma Falirakissa

Paikka loistava, henkilökunta sekä omistajat todella ystävällisiä. Ainoa häiritsevä asia lähitalosta kantautuva metelöinti parina yönä. Hotelli on hieman päivitystä vaativa esim. jääkaappi, suihku, pyyhkeet jne. mutta kaikki toimii ja varmaan hinta on laadun mukainen.

Toppenhotell

Mycket trevligt familjeägt hotell med personligt och vänligt bemötande. Andra gången vi bor här och vi kommer gärna tillbaka. c:a två km till stranden, en skön promenad längs olivlundar eller så använder man hotellets gratisskjuts till stranden/byn, som avgår tre ggr dagligen.

Deludente

Prenotato a Giugno per inizio settembre. Più volte ho telefonato o mandato mail per avere conferma che fosse tutto ok: mai risposto. Anzi una volta per telefono mi hanno detto che loro rispondono solo tramite mail! Ma mai l'hanno fatto. Il 30 agosto alla mia ultima mail in cui chiedevo se fosse tutto ok mi rispondono: Yes all good.. Arrivati il 6 sera (all'una di notte), dei 2 monolocali prenotati non c'era traccia asserendo che era stato Hotels.com a disdire la prenotazione. Ci trovano solo x quella notte una sistemazione proponendoci all'indomani di andare in un'altra struttura per poi ritornare dopo 2 giorni. Rifiutiamo e andiamo da un'altra parte (pagando un po di più del preventivato). Overbooking, disguido col sito non sò, fatto sta che abbiamo perso una giornata di vacanza pagando poi qualcosa in piu del preventivato per il soggiorno. Sicuramente se dovessimo tornare a Rodi ( bella ) andremo da un'altra parte.

Ystävällinen henkilökunta. Aamiainen oli hyvä. Uima-allasalue on mukava. Hyvin ilmastoitu huone. Hiukan kaukana rannasta, mutta usein pääsi henkilökunnan kyydillä.

Die Anlage lag auf einem kleinen Hügel mit super Aussicht , eine schöne Anlage aber schon etwas in die Jahre gekommen. Wir waren voll zufrieden. D

Hieno erillistalo hotellin respan edessä, 2x WC ja 2x erilliset suihkutilat molempien makuuhuoneiden yhteydessä olivat kiva yllätys. Palvelu oli myös loistavaa👍

Good hotel in Rhodes

It was little bit remote place from beach. If you have cars, maybe it won't matter. All was good.

Zeer schone appartementen op de heuvel gelegen bij Faliraki. Appartementen liggen vrij waardoor je in de avond afkoeling hebt door de wind. Je kan lopend naar Faliraki maar met een huurauto zie je meer en kan je de lokale taverna bezoeken. Zeer vriendelijke en behulpzame receptie met goede tips. Genoeg wissels van handdoeken en lakens. Elke dag behalve zondag schoonmaak. Mooi uitzicht en een plek waar ik zeker terug ga komen. Prijs/kwaliteit is zeer goed

One night layover

We spent only 1 night in this place. Very simple rooms. Maybe best for only short visit, in my opinion.

Monolocale exclusive stanza 44. Il locale aveva un arredamento vecchio e consumato. Il bagno datato probabilmente degli anni 60 con tipica tendina divisoria della doccia sorretta da bastone che cadeva sistematicamente. Doccino a muro non integro che spruzzava ovunque. Porta asciugamani arrugginiti. Pulizia a dir poco superficiale tanto è vero che dietro la porta del bagno, per tutti i 9 giorni è rimasto un pezzo di biscotto. Terrazzino mai pulito. Wi-Fi lentissimo e a volte inesistente. 4 giorni su nove disturbati da schiamazzi notturni e dallo sciacquone rumoroso. Pessimo isolamento delle pareti. Buona la colazione e la cena. Bella la piscina ma chiusa alle 20

Ohne brauchbares Bad u.o. Komfort, wir nie wieder!

Ein Bad das den Namen so nicht verdient. Dusche, Waschbecken und das Klo sind auf 1,0qm ohne Abtrennung untergebracht. Nach dem Duschen kannst erst mal alles trocken legen. Zimmer winzig, keine Ablagemöglichkeit für Koffer, kein Schrank. Klimagerät bläst direkt auf das Bett. Der Pool ist ein Witz. Wir wollten direkt nach dem Einchecken gleich wieder auschecken und stornieren, oder einen Teil erstattet bekommen, wurde angelehnt. Ist ja im Voraus bezahlt, 9 Nächte!!!! Das könne nur Hotels.com/Expedia tun, sagte man uns. HOTELS antwortet uns, das Hotel lehnt es ab. Also das geht gar nicht, weder vom Hotel, noch von Expedia. Buchungen zukünftig über anständige Websites mit Service/Kulanz, und nur bei seriösen Hotels. Wer sich hier wohl fühlt, hat null Anspruch auf Komfort und Entspannung. Wir haben sogar noch am selben Tag auch über Hotels.com ein Luxushotel gebucht, für den selben Zeitraum. Unsere Email mit der Bitte um Hilfe wurde nie gelesen und/oder beantwortet. Null Service!!!! Es gibt für uns zumindest zukünftig viele Alternativen zu Hotels.com und Expedia.

Semester på egen hand

Ett fantastisk hotell på en höjd utanför Faliraki. Tog 20 min att gå till centrum, men gratis hotellbil 3 ggr pr dag. Mycket lugn och skön omgivning. Fantastisk familj som äger och sköter hotellet. God mat och service, har inget negativt att säga.

Dejligt hotel

Hotellet ligger et stykke fra byen, så det er en god ide med en lejet bil. Boede i Sunset lejligheden og havde en fantastisk udsigt fra terrassen. Dejligt køkken og perfekt med to badeværelser til en familie med to store børn. Flinkt og hjælpsomt personale. Hotellet bliver mest benyttet af engelske gæster. Det ville være rart med regler for, hvornår der skal være ro på hotellet. Der var et par aftener med uro (sang og musik) fra andre gæster, helt indtil kl. 3.30.

Struttura in ottime condizioni. Pulizia ottima. Pecca: niente armadi o cassetti.

Super lækkert hotel og god service. Mad og drikke lidt dyr men ok. Man skal helt klart leje en bil for det ligger langt væk fra både strand og by men så får man også en lækker udsigt.

Joli paysage mais hôtel très mal isolé. Chasse d eau très bruyante. On entendait énormément les voisins. Kitchenette mal équipé : juste un jeu de 3 assiettes, 3 jeux de couverts et qq verres. Pa de café à dispo alors que vu sur les chariots. Rien pour faire la vaisselle. Et ne réapprovisionne pas les produits de toilette alors que hôtel appartement. Bcp de manquant par rapport au descriptif sur le site.

Super beliggenhed og venligt personale

Hotellet ligger perfekt, men kræver at man lejer en bil. Vi opgraderede vores værelse mod ekstra betaling, da vores “superior double studio med Garden View/parkering” ikke levede op til vores forventning. Det store minus må siges at være sengens kvalitet - også efter opgraderingen. Meget venligt og imødekommende personale, hyggeligt poolområde og fin morgenmadsbuffet. Alt i alt udemærket valuta for pengene!

People there is amazing. We had a couple of problems and they behave very well with us. The bathroom needs to be reformed

Salle de bain très très petite, dans la chambre il n'y avais qu'un petit trigo et une bouilloire. Propreté pas au top, des fourmis par terre. La clim est bien, store électrique. Coffre fort à clés. Ensemble moyen, grande piscine.

Εξαιρετική φιλοξενία. Πάρα πολύ καθαρό το δωμάτιο. Άψογη εξυπηρέτηση από όλο το προσωπικό. Εξαιρετικά ήσυχη η θέση του συγκροτήματος

Appartement met zicht op zee

Zee was in de verte zichtbaar. Te voet van aan de baan was het een lastige klim naar de appartementen. Leuk om alle maaltijden daar te kunnen benutten.

Perfect position for exploring the island

Hillside Studios is situated in the countryside just behind Faliraki. It's a quiet, breezy spot, at times very windy. We found it an excellent base for exploring the island. For what you pay, it's great value for money. The family are very friendly and helpful and the rooms are basic and very clean. Being near Faliraki, there were quite a few young people staying, but the place was always quiet and there were a lot of families too. We found the atmosphere very relaxing.
