Excellent stay at Heywood. The staff is attentive and the hotel is unique and comfortable. I would stay there again and highly recommend!

I loved how unique this hotel stay was. The staff were very attentive to our needs and the room was excellent. We will definitely stay here again.

The Heywood was impeccably decorated. Customer service was perfection. My room was clean, easy to get to, private, and had everything I needed. Plus, they had custom touches… my name on my snack basket, a note from the staff, a tiny chocolates. I can’t wait to return!

We stayed for two nights. The king patio room is spacious and comfortable. The bath tub is a very nice feature with a skylight. If you want a romantic room, this is it. There’s a small but intimate patio for two right outside the door with a privacy gate. The staff was amazing and immediately contacted us prior to our stay to see if we needed anything to make our stay more comfortable. Jayde was an amazing hostess and went above and beyond our expectations.we will definitely return to this beautiful boutique hotel in the near future. I highly recommend it.

Great friendly staff and great local

I liked the uniqueness of the hotel, i just thought the price was high compared to a suite on the East Coast i recently stayed at.

Heywood is the perfect balance of a neighborhood experience while being a 10 minute walk to the heart of downtown Austin.

The hotel staff was fantastic. They were were very helpful in directing us to activities in the area.

The room was clean and we'll furnished. The staff were all extremely friendly and the entire stay was perfect. I would absolutely book the Heywood again.

Nice bed, fantastic shower, spacious room, quiet AC, good coffee. Super fast wifi, I measured 100mb down and 25mb up. No workout room but you can walk to the trail at Lady Bird Lake in about 10 min. No breakfast.

Charming with Character

Unique place to stay at a great price in popular East Austin. 7 rooms, very friendly and personal service, felt Covid safe (they went to a lot of effort to keep things clean and accessible with limited interaction).

Loved the complete set up of the hotel. I especially enjoyed the outside patio area. Additionally, the extra treats that were left in the room were a nice surprise! The hotel is conveniently located to walk to the lake area or into the city. The food options around the hotel are excellent - great food truck tacos, barbecue, restaurants, and other delicious options. Most importantly, the hotel staff and owner were extremely accommodating and helpful. The Heywood hotel is a great place to stay away from the busy downtown area.

Maris checked me in early and she was amazing! I arrived before 11am and my room was not ready yet, so I asked for lunch place recommendations. I took her advice and walked to Lou’s Bodega. It was perfect as I was looking for something healthy after a long flight. While I was getting lunch, I received a text from Maris that my room was ready, So after lunch I walked back and settled in. Maris included all my request in the refrigerator and the room was lovdly. I love a boutique hotel and this one was outstanding! I’d love to come back! Highly recommend

Amazing experience! Room was clean, staff was very welcoming and nice, area was great for a weekend getaway with my husband. We were greeted with a hand written note and a complementary local brew! Super sweet touch!

We really enjoyed our stay. It's an absolutely charming property. Lots of attention to detail and attentive customer service. Close to lots of shops, restaurants, and bars. Plus, easy to get to main attractions from. Also, they have hybrid (not clunky cruiser) bikes available with helmets and lights that are perfect for exploring.

The staff is extremely lovely and helpful. Hotel is very pretty and well run. My only complaint is that I did not have a dresser to put my clothes.

Staff, property and amenities were exceptional. We were greeted with a handwritten note welcoming us and provided with complimentary local beers and foffees in the mini fridge. The architecture of the guests rooms was very modern as it was an addition off the back of the 1920s bungalow. The neighborhood is up-amd-comming and very clise to the ever popular South Congress.

Fantastic little boutique hotel and excellent location. The ultimate place to stay if you want the East Austin experience.

This boutique hotel is very near downtown, cycle path and innumerable restaurants and nightlife. They have a collection of good bicycles included and we rode extensively, first the lake/river bike path and then all over downtown which is vibrant. There are some street bike paths but not everywhere but nevertheless we felt quite safe. The hotel is also walkable to downtown if you are vigorous. The neighbourhood is eclectic but feels very safe. The hotel is an interesting architectural work of fusion of old and new and our room was perfect.

Love!

I love the Heywood. The service is excellent, and it’s a quiet, comfortable place to stay with many options within walking distance. The queen room was tiny, but there are larger options if that’s an issue. I will stay there again.

If you want a unique experience this is the hotel for you. They were very personal and kind; a small town feeling.

Eastside Austin Perfection - 10/10 Would Recommend

The hotel was very well-appointed, trendy, and comfortable. Every effort was taken to make guests feel comfortable and at home. My husband and I grew up in Austin and stayed here for a long weekend visit. Our room was very clean and nicely decorated with vintage furniture and a well-stocked (and surprisingly reasonably priced!) refrigerator and snacks. The bathroom was spacious, well-lot, and clean, and the shower had excellent water pressure and an amazing rain shower head. Our only complaint was the incredibly firm pillows on an otherwise comfortable bed. The staff members were warm and welcoming, ready with suggestions of nearby watering holes and taco trucks to try (an Austin must). The neighborhood is thriving, with a ton of cute and trendy bars, restaurants, and shops within walking distance. We were very happy with our stay and would definitely book this hotel again!

East side Gem

Heywood is an adorable boutique hotel in East Austin. The service is amazing and the rooms are unique and adorable. We stayed in the queen bee room with is on the tiny side for 250 a night but nonetheless comfortable and cute!

Heywood is a WINNER.

I have stayed at The Heywood Hotel several times, and it never disappoints! It is the perfect place to relax solo or as a couple. Private, yet tons of restaurants accessible and within walking distance. The rooms are clean, modern, and comfortable. I never want to leave.

Can't Wait to Come Back!

I spent three nights at the Heywood for work; it was the perfect place to come back to after a day of meetings! The staff were very thoughtful. They gave me some great restaurant recommendations for the neighborhood. I can't wait to stay here again - it was hard to leave!

Bungalow hotel with great aesthetic

Super comfortable, complimentary beers in the fridge and snacks stocked were all well selected. Bed was comfortable, shower was nice and the whole property was lovely. Walking distance within good food and bars.

Heywood is heaven

The Heywood always delivers in all areas when it comes to accommodations. Aboove and beyond service, attention to detail and laid back luxury. Heywood gives Austin a good name.

This is a GREAT boutique hotel; I wish there was a Heywood at every one of my vacation destinations!! This was our first time to Austin. The suite was very quiet, private, clean, and comfortable. The location of the hotel is close to all the main attractions, and the staff was Awesome!!...very knowledgeable and friendly! Honestly, I won't stay anywhere else when I'm in Austin! Very pleased, thank you!! :)

The Heywood hotel was amazing. Very quiet and private. Relaxed and comfortable atmosphere. So much better than a chain hotel.

Beautiful modern hotel

This place was amazing! The property is beautiful and modern. I had a room that had it's own private patio which was wonderful. The room itself was great; the bed was very comfortable, the decor was beautiful, and the shower was amazing. The staff was incredibly friendly and gave us great recommendations for cocktails and food, all of which was in walking distance! I'm still daydreaming about my stay there. I'd go back in a heartbeat.
