My room was on a balcony shared with noisy neighbours and my room was a rather small and cramped. However it was clean and tidy and very reasonable value for money
I Would like to thank staff member ABBY for her service on getting ne book in to hotel .
A comfortable budget room for a 1 or 2 night stay. Recommend an ensuite
I had to wear earplugs as there was a motor running continually outside our room.
2Nd night worse for noise than 1st.. no fault of staff, men drinking, yapping, men most wouldn't want to tell to stop it, including me, even after 1am.. then council sweepers at 5am, so loud, impossible to rest there sadly... also one of the men wiped poo on toilet wall and many seemed unwell, loud coughs in morning.. never again, but staff were great!
grand old Heritage building on the river. Beautiful parklands Close to food nice hot shower bit noisy in the morning - woken by council blowing paths & vehicle street sweepers at 5 a.m. Very noisy way too early! bit noisy at night at the hotel downstairs, and the neighbour in the room and on balcony til 1am i miss sleep ✨💖✨
Good rates, good food. Bit of noise from playground over road at night
Hotel was fantastic a must stay. Just a note that I had no remotes for A/C or TV in my room but did not require them. Great morning views from balcony.
Great location , friendly helpful staff comfortable room
For the price of the rooms, and the location.
It's a beautiful old hotel. Rooms were clean, but extremely hot. Bathroom was a bit disappointing but did us well for an overnight stay. Staff friendly. Food was good. Train staff on pricing before they deal with public. Stairs to rooms need more light otherwise it could be devastating to hotel and persons using dark areas.
Nice firendly staff, good place to stay
It was great
It's a beautiful building/premises. Staff ethics are professional, polite and respectfully sound. Thank you Heritage Hotel Rockhampton.
I liked the options for room size
This is my second stay at Heritage. I did not have any troubles whatsoever. The only thing I would strongly recommend is that the aircon in room 5 should be changed urgently.
Very clean
The staff were friendly and helpful from the beginning as I didn't know where the entrance was but inside they were rushed as it was busy at the bar. After walking up 5 flights of stairs, I opened the door toa "sauna" even with the fan on. Having a 5 year old, the toilets being right down the other end of the hallway, this ended up being hard. The next morning when we we're supposed to leave, rushing to the toilets at 6am turned out to be a very long day in end as we were completely locked out of the room until a staff member finally showed up at 2.30pm. she was really good and very apologetic about the situation and did everything she could to get a manager in to supply keys to open the door so we could finally leave. A gentleman in the room opposite was very kind enough to phone the 'out of hours' number- TWICE but no-one answered. When I confronted the manager about this, all he had to say was that he left it at work and didn't think it would be a big deal because it was Sunday. I will not recommend this place toany of my family and friends at all.I wasn't even offered any type ofcompensation for having towait for anyone.Cleaners don't go in there on Sundays to clean or get the rooms prepped for new customers to check in as they don't docheck ins on that day. Dirty linen lying around, rubbish bins not emptied for a whole day. Not exactly ideal
Very friendly staff, great downstairs bar, nice quiet stay
Nowhere was it explained that it was a communal toilet and shower.
Value for money
Pleasant stay in an iconic building. Well maintained and clean. No Wifi available though.
The food was amazing, the staff was very helpful and friendly. Was shocked for the quality for the price paid.
The heritage was a nice old world place, staff were great.
Great value for money right on the river
:)
room door very tight, fan controller needs replacing, kettle in room but water had to be fetched from the wc. In summer, no air con in room
Very ordinary. You get what you pay for and I wanted a cheap and cheerful room for one night. It was cheap, noisey, barely clean and rudimentary. Not reccomended if you want more than 1-2 stars
Avoid if want to check in at any hour
Could not use my accommodation as the check in hours are ridiculous and no after hours check in. Lost $50. pretty crap
Good budget place.
Good budget place. A bit hot without Aircon but we knew it so it was not a problem.
Pleasant pub
Lovely old building. Great location. Pricey but it was a busy weekend. Cleaners v friendly and accommodating. Strictly could not check in til 3 due to lunch service which was a bit inconvenient and had to park off site also. Shared basic bathroom which is okay if you don't mind. Great view of the river from the balcony. Basic pub meals. We enjoyed our stay.
Good location, clean, Bit noisy, would have liked a aircon
Poor service, high price, bad location, poor room condition and no private washroom
This room was as described, but we were surprised to discover the bathroom was separate to the room. We would have also appreciated shampoo and conditioner and bottled water to save filling up at the bathroom sink. Everything in the room was as described, but the carpets in the rooms and communal halls left a musty smell - I'd love to see the hardwood floors beneath polished instead! In saying all of this, the price was very reasonable.
Nice little place to stay for the price... air con units are super loud, but it drowns out the partygoers!
Enjoyed staying here over the weekend. Clean rooms and good location.
The first night was marred by noise all night from cement trucks in our street, pumping cement to the building being constructed down the street. Second night was quiet. Third night the Nite Club/ Adult Club next door was open, a lot of street noise until 3 am from the patrons. The basin in the ensuite room 5, was next to useless because it is to small, needs to be changed to a normal size. No toiletries were supplied, soap was from a dispenser on the wall, like a public toilet. The room was clean and linnen was clean including the towels. A microwave and small fridge supplied. No drinking allowed on the verandah? Good meals and bars down stairs.
We were very happy with our experience - paid a little extra for a room with our own bathroom - well worth it! Bedroom, small lounge area and bathroom. Only thing were the two flights of stairs that had to be navigated, and the lighting was a bit poor!
Great place to stay in Rocky. Clean, tidy and great value.
It wasn’t the cleanest but for the price it was excellent and you get to drink all night at the pub
I didn't like anything. I have to wait half an hour and than hey said check in is close at 3pm. no one answered the call on the phone number provided
If you need a room at the cheap end of the scale, the Heritage is great. There are plenty of higher quality hotels of course, but this place is really good for those on a budget - it’s not a luxury stay, but the rooms are clean and simple (cheap rooms with shared bathrooms at the end of the hall) and you can grab a meal or a drink right there in the pub. Staff are friendly and helpful and the location is lovely, right on the river front. The building is a beautiful historic pub. The rooms are on the second floor though, so bear in mind that there are lots of stairs and no lifts.
Opaque windows panels replaced with normal glass-no privacy on shared balcony. Air-con didn't work. Filthy
Location is perfect. Beautiful building. Excellent staff. Parking a challenge if you are towing a trailer or caravan
I was happy at the cleanliness of the property but I didn’t realise there was not going to be any towels to use, or any in room cups to drink water out of. I thought I would have been able to borrow a bowl or spoon to eat my own food in but I was not able to do that either.
We liked the old world charm of the property but would have preferred a bench in the en suite and off street parking for our car.
Helpful staff and a pleasant overnight stop with good restaurant.
Basic room, shared facilities. You get what you pay for. Noisy on Saturday night due to nightclub across the road, will request a room facing the river next time.
This is a great old building very rustic with exelent veiws of the ri verside parks Can be a bit noisy on a weekend with a night club across the road but over all a great place to stay
Character and value for money. Central location and river views.
