Lovely old building. Beautiful lobby, floors, and great pool and tennis court. Rackets could be better.
Excellent location, friendly nd helpful staff. Good locations to eat nearby. There was no breakfast but there is a third party German restaurant in the building which we did not try. We had a one bedroom suite and it was very spacious compared to newer hotels.
Nice size rooms, clean well laid out. Disappointed there was nowhere in the hotel to get a drink, no lobby bar no pool bar and the only food place closed at 1:30
We will be back! We loved it
The fan in the bathroom wasn't working. I felt unsafe using the shower over the bath. The pillows were uncomfortable. The bed was very comfortable. We wanted some cookies to have with our drinks.
Great location
Convenient for a last minute check in but the hotel is tired and had the most uncomfortable bed we’ve ever slept in to date in a hotel. Its old and worn out furnishings were an absolute damper to arrive to. Left first thing in the morning instead of utilising the pool or dining room.
Met our needs
Great location in down Auckland. Helpful l, friendly staff, Liked staying in the “Towers” section, with full kitchen and washer/dryer. On the negative- the hallways were pretty shabby ) tho our room very clean and comfortable.
A great experience
The front dest, etc, were wonderful and the room was even better than we expected. The rooftop pool was special, and not too-crowded. They are doing some needed repairs/updates in a few places, but overall we really enjoyed our stay.
Large Weird property, interconnected hallways, and the worst was 10th floor room and only 1 lift working.
The spa and lap pool was one of the best. The room had a full kitchen and a washer dryer. Couldn’t ask for more.
Nice older hotel
It was alright. staff was helpful . Area around isn't the greatest but OK overall
Fantastic stay!
Beautiful rooms, comfortable and spacious. Whole building smells lovely and staff were friendly and helpful. The pools and gyms were a great bonus. Great location, close to everything but quiet.
.
We stay here quite often. Very enjoyable 😊
Average at best
good, clean, convenient hotel. A bit dated, but very comfortable and value. nice rooftop pool and some good nearby dining options.
My stay was fabulous.Thank you. A later check out option ( even at a small cost) for my business traveller friend together will coffee/tea facilities in lobby would have been helpful. Otherwise a wonderful place to stay and very helpful and friendly staff.Thank you!
The Staff were very helpfull, needed a room with a washer and dryer, forgot to state on booking request, was moved to a room that better suited our needs. Thankyou Careen (hopefully remembered that right) you were very helpful and professional.
The hotel was in an excellent location, the room was clean and spacious with everything I needed, the staff were friendly and helpful. I would gladly stay here again.
Our stay was amazing. The staff were extremely helpful, polite and looked after our every need.
The buildings are “tired” and dingy. The suite was clean and comfortable; it had convenient appliances. The surrounding area is “just outside”of shopping and dining options. A bit questionable in the evening.
Great facilities . Needs soundproofing
The room facilities were excellent with kitchenette, cooker, oven dishwasher and washing machine. Table chairs and sofa. Bed was comfortable and liked sleep menu for pillows.Tv's in lounge and bedroom Bedroom lamps were slightly dusty but otherwise cleanliness was excellent. Appreciated bath and shower. We had internal atrium view but for the time we spent in the room that wasn't a problem. Great location close to sky tower, harbour and shopping street and easy to get skybus to and from airport, much cheaper than private transfers.our only issue was lack of soundproofing, we could hear 'adult playtimes' from adjoining rooms and also footsteps from next door and above us which sounded like someone walking in our room. Would still recommend this hotel as was good price and good value
We enjoyed the overall cleanliness of the room, and the air conditioning. We also enjoyed accessing the gym and pool facilities. The location was convenient and easy to get around Auckland city. The size of the bathroom was great too. We thoroughly enjoyed our experience.
Lovely people working at hotel
The front desk staff is Amazing. Our Air conditioner wasn’t working very well but they brought us a fan
Great front desk staff
Front desk staff were amazing. Doreen was helpful, efficient, warm, and so friendly. All the staff were great. Room was tired but okay. The bed and pillows were lumpy and uncomfortable. Rooftop pool was lovely.
Great , modern rooms. Roof top pool was amazing
Amazing pool and view at the pool. Great size room
Great stay. Quiet, central, loved roof top swimming pool and area
Really loved that my room had a mini dishwasher, kitchen, oven, stove, AND A WASHER AND DRYER. Score! I will def stay here again. The rooftop pool was also super lovely for a spot to sun. There’s also tennis courts and an outdoor chess area.
Great stay, very comfortable.
A great weekend getaway.
The room was really beautiful and really spacious - get the upgraded rooms if you can! I loved the layout of the bathroom. The only issue (and it is very small) was the air conditioning in the bedroom - I just couldn't figure out how to get it to work. The rooftop pool is fantastic - thoroughly recommend.
The rooftop swimming pool is awesome and located in a very conveniently place.
For an inner city stay this is in a great location - easy walk down the hill to the Viaduct, restaurants, cafes. Also 1 minute walk from the City to Airport Bus Stop
The bed was dreadful. It was so bouncy and squishy, no support at all. Every movement either my partner or I made the other person could feel meaning we barely slept.
Terrible service inefficient no room service, one lift working out of three, upon check in waited 20 minutes unmanned reception, then key didn’t work, I had to call for the Bath Robes and Slippers, indoor spa pool broken, no restaurant or bar open no breakfast, no chopping board in full kitchen, stuck on level 3 for nearly 30 minutes at 8.30am and a new Mother had to deliver breast milk to a customer waiting in the Lobby then got locked in the stairs area luckily I heard her, no toilet in the Lobby area, no trolley service when checking out I had to go down get the trolley myself with my husband in the wheelchair, dirty old Balcony and furniture, this hotel is not a 4 star international hotel more likely a 2.2. Extremely disappointed 😢 especially being New Year’s Day given my entire family stayed 4 years ago for Christmas and Boxing Day and service and facilities were great therefore I suggest Expedia revisit this hotel simply not worth $255 for there Tower Executive Suite and I am requesting a full refund as I have always travelled and stayed and booked with Expedia please advise.
Booked thinking i was staying at the heritage not the towers 2 of 3 elevators were broken an the stairs were off limits trying too get to an from the room was a nightmare
The Heritage is a sturdy hotel with some great amenities. Would benfit greatly from a overhaul and clean up of the spaces.
Nice roof top pool. Staff very friendly VIP parking, close to downtown area
Really enjoyed the pool and spa. Apartment was OK, but sound travelled so could hear noise from adjacent apartment and a few problems (no plug in sink, light not working).
Last resort place to stay
I booked I didn’t know we were being put in the old section. It’s rundown poorly maintained in the hallway smell
Sandy on the reception was fantastic so welcoming and the beds so comfortable and would stay again
Great stay, comfy clean room, bar and restaurant didn’t need anything else
Nice old hotel downtown
Good location for downtown and access to ferry, great rooftop pool, hotel a bit noisy due to traffic downtown. Interior items are a bit old (e.g. carpet).
Nice roof top pool & spa but no bar service. Spacious room at a cheaper rate due it being a Sunday. Check in / out was quick at easy. Short walk to the Viduct Harbout.
Hotel did feel a bit empty but maybe that is due to the recharge in ownership
Nice property in the heart of the business district. Convenient to waterfront and parks. A bit noisy. Very nice rooftop pool. Gum facilities are ok, not great.
This is a wonderful hotel, operated by efficient and friendly staff
Great check-in experience provide by a Tahitian girl (didn't get her name). She was welcoming and friendly. Very efficient and chatty. Unfortunately, my stay was let down when I was checking out. I call reception to organise my vehicle from valet parking. I got no answer after waiting on phone for 10 minutees, so I hung up. I went down to reception, but no-one there. Used the phone at reception to call the Duty Manager, but again no answer. I looked around for someone, but no-one was around. Called again, got an answer and advised my vehicle would be there in 5 minutes. It took nearly 15 minutes to be brought around to the entrance foyer.
Nice property
Property has all the amenities needed for a relaxing stay but the overall condition of furnitures and carpeting is old evident on the smell. Water dispenser in the lobby was empty when we checked in the afternoon and never replace until the next morning. Staff confused on which car was mine and initially took the wrong car from valet parking and almost gave me the keys. Just a little messy.
well located for viaduct area and reasonably priced
My friend and I had a fabulous stay at the Heritage. The staff were awesome, very friendly & efficient. We loved our upgraded room, very spacious & the beds were wonderful. We also enjoyed the rooftop pool.
Family trip.
Good location, great amenities (loved the dry sauna). Rooftop pool and hot tubs were nice…about 7 minutes walking to queen street. Very pleasant stay.
Comfortable
Lovely stay with decent amountnof space in the room. Design is a bit on the older style but has everything you need. Would come back again.
The staff member at the front desk on Saturday afternoon who checked us in was excellent. She was courteous and went out of her way to properly explain the facilitiea at the hotel. Unfortunately, there was several toe nail clippings on the floor near out bed in a very obvious place. The entertainment options on the TV were hard to figure out and stopped working and you have to have your own streaming accounts. No sky tv. The shower screen was tiny which meant a lot of water ended up on the bathroom floor. The room was spacious but apart from that the hotel was very disappointing. Unlikely to return.
It was quite central and an easy walk into the CBD or to the Skytower. It’s pretty dated and was definitely expensive at $600 a night
Close to sky tower and shops
Wonderful, friendly staff.
Good value
Good
It was good. Sorry might have incidentally clicked somewhere and scored it wrong before. It wasn’t an intention.
Good staff
On arrival the tower entrance was closed. We checked in through the main hotel and then had to push our luggage around the interior city block to access the tower. The only restaurant on site was a German Restaurant only opened for dinner during the weekend. When we arrived at 7:45 we were told the only options for the dinner was the buffet which was cold and depleted of the courses. On departure we retrieved a luggage carrier and again had to traverse the interior city block to checkout. Staff service was horrible.
Not sure about the heater and air conditioning on our room, it was broken. but the view was wonderfull and staff is so friendly. The location is convenient, would definitely go back
Very good hotel nice room .great service. Very well situated. Only negative was the onsite restaurant was very poor quality food.
Amazing stay !!
Nice room with all the amenities we needed Would stay here again
Everything it was the best stay
Was good parking round there not very good though
Fantastic location and great service!
Convenient
.
The room is tired and needs updating especially the furniture. The bathtub had a shower which when used the water went out all over the floor despite there being a quarter door to try to stop the splash. This creates a hazard when you get out of the bathtub. Cleaners did not vacuum and left unwashed cups in the cupboard on the first night of stay, there was only one bathrobe and two towels no good if there are two of you in the room and you wanted to go to the pool area. The pool area however was fantastic and made up for some of the inconveniences
There was a bit of noise from the flats across the way and some of the facilities weren't open (the pool) and depending on your room, it may be a bit of a hike around the hotel. But the standout for this trip was the bed! It was so comfortable. I could book myself in just to have a good night sleep. There were full kitchen facilities and laundry facilities in the room which would be handy if we were staying longer. Overall, a good stay.
A lovely art deco motel close to all amenities lovely soft bed, shame i was give incorrect times for when breakfast ended when i rang reception to check this the night before, so i had to hunt for a place to eat in the morning Reception staff in the morning were very helpful with this
Loved the sauna and spa!
Very large property so you will have alot of walking to get to your room depending on what wing you will be staying in. Building is an mix of apartments, hotel rooms and businesses so be prepared to walk past people working when walking around the property. Room was a great size and hot water pressure was great. Just old wear and tear notifiable. Roof top pool and spa very nice area
Excellent value for money compared to other Hotels in Auckland city. It’s an iconic landmark
Property is a bit tired and not in a great area currently. Was convenient for the place I was working but not a fan for a getaway or part of a larger trip.
I would return 👍
We pre warmed a really late arrival circa 2am but we’re not given a late checkout when they knew because of rugby game hotel Was booked our had they advised that I would’ve had chance to alter my booking , then we were offered on-site parking for $45!! To be out of carpark at 10am !! Rip off yes I asked for a refund but stiil rude to offer parking at full price at 2am on checkout date! Won’t stay again shame cos we really loved previous stays . H well
Staff were not very helpful and parking was very expensive. The pool area was in a separate building which was not clear in the listing.
The only complaint I have was I found a sock down the wall side of the bed belonging to a previous guest.
.
Good location in the CBD
We absolutely loved our stay at the heritage auckland, only wish it had been longer. We've been fortunate to have traveled to many locations around the world but this was definitely a favourite our our entire family. Very reasonable price, big rooms. Only downside was valet parking but we opted to park at skycity instead
Shower got hot and cold
Great location!
We booked this hotel for the family room and the pool/spa/gym as we went with our kids. They loved the rooftop pool especially and my husband used the gym. The parking is also valet parking and very reasonably priced for in Auckland. I didn't realise but the Heritage has two sides, the older side and the newer tower side. The family room that we booked was in the older side (I think they all are) and it wasn't heritage - it was just run down. Definitely not a 4* experience. There was also ZERO sound proofing and it was so so loud with road noise and people walking above us. We got no sleep for both nights we were there. Such a pity as if they had the money to re-do the hotel it could be absolutely amazing. The area around the hotel is also filled with rough people, there is an Auckland City Mission not far off and I believe a lot of the apartments around there are transitional housing. I understand this isn't the hotels fault and to be honest all of Downtown Auckland is like this - its a real pity. As you have to walk everywhere to eat it wouldn't be somewhere I would want to walk around if I was alone.
Unfortunately the area in Victoria W. St is a bit dodgy. This distracts from access down to Queen St .Businesses in this area need to consider this in how to revitalize this otherwise the hotel is good value for NZ
Excellent situation, walking distance of restaurants, theatres, and harbour. Hotel staff very friendly and helpful. Rooms large and clean, bed very comfy.
Excellent Location. Friendly staff. Large rooms.
Nice Size Rooms. Friendly staff. Handy Location
The 4 of us loved the Property! Our 2 kids loved it aswell. My daughter wants us to book it for her 10th birthday & My son wants to book it for fathers day lol Location is perfect! Its in the middle of everything you can think of! Parks not to far away,Food places just a 1 minute walk away, Waterfront is a walk away, transport everywhere. Our room was good wish we had a balcony though for fresh air into the room as i found the window abit dangerous when we pulled it up a tiny bit. Air conditiong was great after we figured it out. Housekeeping was done when we went for a swim. Reception was so good to us! My daugther had her first call to Reception and she was so excited about it lol She also asked for Robes to be sent up to our rooms hahaha. The staff were super nice! Very welcoming and made us feel comfortable being our first time clocking into a hotel. The valet parking was good! Loved how they moved our car very new to us lol anways cant wait to come back forsure! Ps: My daughter wrote a note for the Reception. Wonder if they got it lol.
Wasn’t able to use the shower on the holder as it was broken which was very disappointing for my young children :(
Overall..enjoyed will definitely stay there again
Great location. Staff was friendly but no help with bags was offered. Look warm water in the shower. Bed was very comfortable.

Lovely room, clean and spacious. Also had a great view which was a bonus
