Very convenient, clean and modern. Breakfast was not bad either.
We have recently returned and the hotel was fantastic. The metro was a few minutes walk away so could jump on and be in the central areas in ten minutes. Team working were lovely and the rooms we had were huge. Will be returning. Thank you
Broken glass and non functioning toilet in the bathroom, luckily i wore slippers. the receltion Staff were impolite and impatient especially because we didnt share a language, the cafe is highly overpriced, charging several euros for a single water bottle. The breakfast is okay. This would be expected of a 30€ hotel, but given the cost, this
Great hotel with friendly and helpful staff close to the Metro and main station. Enjoyed my short stay
I booked this room last minute for an unexpected layover. Room is adequate for sleeping and shower. Otherwise, small, cramped, old, absolute minimum accommodation. I don't want to be too harsh. But, only stay here for one night emergencies. On a positive: I was allowed to check in at 6 am and stay until 3 am the following day with only one nights charge. I am very thankful to the staff for this generosity.
Close to train station. Fine for one night. Toilet wasn’t the cleanest and felt like a public stall but other then that the room was fine
Nice pool area good bar service and very friendly staff
Convenient location for transport hubs. Comfortable hotel with pleasant staff. A little hot in the rooms but better to be hot than cold. Great value for money.
My experience with the hotel has been amazing. The location was what I was very amazed about as it is just steps away from the Metro. The staff and courteous and very accommodating. Housekeeping is superb and the room cleanliness is impeccable.
It was simply a great experience staying here
Great value and next to the metro. Five minutes walk to the railway station. Staff are always friendly and polite
Overall vert good stay. Basic hotel but all you really need anyway! Sound proofing of rooms could be a bit better but other than that it was fine! Would stay again if in the city
Staff was very helpful explaining transportation, tours available etc…
The hotel was basically average. One of two elevators was not working but being fixed. Duvet on bed left toes sticking out at the end. Lights out in the hallway. Breakfast okay. Staff friendly. Fair for the price.
yes, this property is fine and for me it is not the first time I have stayed here and I will definitely come back, I recommend it with confidence
About 20-30 minute walk to Bucharest City Centre. The room was very nice. Very cosy and comfortable. It has most things you would need or want. It was a clean room, and it was very close to the north trainstation. A few minutes or few hundred metres away. There's a supermarket on the opposite side, or another further down the street, and also an excellent pizza place round the corner, and on the main road.
Enjoyable With Some Niggles
An Enjoyable Stay At Hello Hotel, Reception Staff Were Great And Good At There Job. Cafe Staff Were A Little Confusing As They Deamed Me Only Fit For Paper Cups All The Time No Crockery For Me. Cleaners Were Lets Just Say Absent Apart From An Asian Beauty Who I Saw Once And She Was Only Person Who Helped. Annoyed At Having To Ask Reception For Toilet Paper Twice Due To Cleaners Ignoring There Job To The Point I Had Everything Ready For Them Or Nothing Would Have Got Done I Feel. Apart From That Room Was On A Quiet Side Which Was Great, The Only Downside I Felt Was More Attention Was Given To Non Residents. People Walking Off The Street And Spending The Night In The Lobby Or The Pretend Gongsters As They Looked Like They Couldn't Spell Gangster Always Wanted To Steal The Chair You Were Sitting On To Prove Some Point Which Was Lost On Me As They Looked Like They Couldn't Fight There Way Out Of A Paper Bag.
Clean well maintained very new
Really good quality hotel and staff. Very near main train station so good for airport
Staff was friendly, the room itself its decent, but the shower door is not properly closing and the water drips into the room. The room should have curtains to cover the entire window
As above.
The TV set was not working.
Convenient hotel, friendly staff.
perfect place to stay just steps from the train station. nothing fancy but clean and comfortable for a good price
Very convenient for Gara Nord railway station. Area around feels a bit edgy, but there is a nice hotel bar next door and an excellent, lively, restaurant opposite. Not too far from a tram stop to the centre too (though hotel staff were unable to advise us how/where to buy a tram ticket, so we struggled to use it). Clean and reasonably sized room. Left luggage facility was useful.
Great Choice in Sofia
Good hotel conveniently located near the city center with excellent service. Would recommend
Very clean bedroom, excellent helpful staff, very well worth staying there.
Very clean, very friendly staff. Speak English as well. Pretty cheap and has all the nesecities:]
Room was quiet, as requested. Really helps with the jet lag. Close proximity to the biggest rail station (as in one can walk, with luggage, to the train in a few minutes). Very nice and professional staff. Thank you very much! Good WiFi connection.
The customer service is what makes this hotel excellent. The location is also perfect place for mobility
Nice modern clean hotel, very convenient for train station and metro.
Water!
The staff are rather reserved but the cleaning staff deserve a medal - it was spotless. The problem is that there is no way to make your own tea or coffee in the room as there is neither a kettle nor bottled water and there is no drinking water made available in the foyer. This during a heat wave. The location was good for the train station though.
The workers are kind and welcoming 🙏
Hello Hotels Bucharest: Design Issues Mar the Experience Positives: The check-in staff member was friendly and welcoming. Negatives: Open Bathroom Problem: The open bathroom design is seriously flawed. Odors permeate the room uncontrollably, creating an unpleasant experience. Leaky Showers: The shower in our first room flooded due to a faulty door. While staff moved us, the shower in the new room leaked as well. This indicates a widespread design issue. Cold Room: Poor ventilation made the room damp after showers. Worse, central heating was off due to the season, leaving the room uncomfortably cold. A staff member rudely informed us there was no heating throughout the building. Misleading Photos: The hotel's online images look modern and inviting. In reality, the open bathroom significantly detracts from the experience. Recommendations: Fix the Bathrooms: The bathroom design urgently needs a rethink to address privacy and odor issues. Train Staff: While some staff were helpful, others were unprofessional. Consistent guest-focused training is essential. Be Transparent: Communicate clearly about seasonal limitations (like heating) to manage guest expectations. Bottom Line: The friendly check-in was a plus, but major design flaws and inconsistent staff behavior tarnished our stay. The hotel won't improve until it fixes the bathrooms, trains staff better, and sets accurate expectations for guests.
Bucharest Stay
Good spot by Gara De Nord railway station back and to the airport and short walk to the centre
Everything
OK
Hotel was very very basic. Rooms were not the cleanest but clean enough to stay in. Bed was so uncomfy, with a tiny blanket type thing as a duvet and one small flat pillow each. Wouldn’t come back but did the job for the weekend as we weren’t at the hotel for long.
the stay was pleasant, the lovely staff recommend
Helpful staff, room ok for price
Staff at reception was friendly and helpful. We booked the larger type of room “comfort” not the smaller “standard “, and even this larger room wasn’t very spacious. Floorplan a little weird, but ok for 3 nights. Toilet, shower and sink are not completely isolated from rest of room. Can buy breakfast for 40 lei per person.

Handy but no luxury
The cheaper sister of the Continentl Hotel nextdoor. Easy to find from rail station, front desk staff helpful but often busy with other duties. There was a massive group of students when I stayed so luggage piled up everywhere & folks blocking the lobby and doorway. Room was basic but clean, small hard pillows like paving slabs, a fair bit of noise from the trams & traffic on the main road outside despite being 7 floors up.
Seeing Bucharest
Bucharest is an amazing city and the Hello Hotel is a great place to stay. Catch the train from the airport for less than £1, and the hotel is 5 minutes walk from Gara de Nord. The metro is easy, clean and cheap and is 100 yards from the hotel. The staff are really nice. I have stayed several times.
Easy accomodation, quiet area, safe, close to public transportation, decent price.
Bathrooms are not that great, kind of very open to the people in the room. Parking was full. Breakfast was nice.
Yet another fabulous stay, This time for 3 weeks. The staff are always super helpful and very nice. I always enjoy my stay here. It is so convenient for all the forms of transport, trains, bus tram buses and métro all within a minute or 2 walk. I know it's a transit hotel and the amenities are limited (no fridge or coffee making facilities) but I like staying here. It suits me. I can come and go whenever I please. I cannot reccomend here enough. It's a great place to stay.
We really liked our staying, good servive nice and polite staff.
Good stay recommend
Perfect stay.. Hotel just beside Gare de nord station from easy go and arrive from airport and also to downtown.. They allow early check in which is great... Also the room is clean and bed is comfortable
Thumbs up
You can't expect luxury for the money you pay... cheap, 100% IKEA but clean and good service. Over-all, great place for the price. The neighborhood should be cleaned up. Former "Dacia cinema" it's a disgrace and makes the area ghetto.
EASY AND ACCESSIBLE TRANSPORT SYSTEM. CLOSE TO MAIN TRAIN STATION AND METRO.
Very clean room. Comfortable bed.
Storing luggage was convenient as we were on an overnight train to Budapest. Locality in relation to the Gara du Nord is very close and convenient - well within walking distance. Staff friendly and spoke very good English. Buffet breakfast adequat
This property is very close to the main train station making it easy to visit nearby places outside Bucharest. The staff are very welcoming and kind and will always consider your request. It offers the best value for money. City centre is walkable distance and on the way to the centre you will enjoy many sight seeing.
1 day in Bucharest
Good value for money and staff allowed us to check in from about 11am. The only issue we had was a disgusting smell similar to rotting cabbage entered the room at about midnight through the air vent. We were only staying the 1 night so the upheaval of changing room at that time was too inconvenient
Nice hotel
The rooms were clean and tidy. Someone tries to open my door at one point and the walls are very thin, you hear everything.
Nice
Bucharest break
Good value for money. Easy access to the metro and Gara de Nord. Clean rooms and friendly and helpful staff. We would certainly use again.
Highly accessible and affordable
Pros: 1. Accessible, it’s pretty close to Gara de Nord and metro exits 2. Friendly staff, they are here to assist customers 3. Breakfast buffet, good enough 4. Security, need to tap the keycard to use the lift 5. WiFi, encrypted network Cons: 1. WiFi, connection is poor in the morning sometimes 2. Shower, the door is not closed properly
I checked in early and my room was ready and had a great view. The room was clean, modern and spacious and suited my needs perfectly. Most of the staff were really good, but one was a little grumpy - she could have just been having a bad day. But overall I rate this hotel very highly.
Lovely welcome by staff, near to station as we had a train next day. Some nice eateries around
Similar to Ibis or Travelodge
Basic rooms,ok for early morning transport connections from gara de Nord, clean and functional. Weird shower location leaves a mess! Maybe stay next door if you want more comfort.
overall it's good value for money, but there are two things I honestly don't understand; there are no bedside tables, so you have to put the telephone, water, etc. on the floor. then you have a double bed but the blanket is single, i think its ridiculous.
Quiet hotel/area and very convenient located - short walkable distance (aprox 300 m) from the main rail Station (Bucharest North Railway Station) and even closer from a subway station (aprox 150m). Clean entrance, hallways and rooms. However, the room (single with double bed) had no nightstand(s) and you have no choice but to put your glass of water, phone on the floor. Also, no shampoo available in the shower - only a diluted liquid soap in a dispenser and no holder for personal items one might need in the shower (i.e. tooth paste/brush, shampoo, razors etc). Overall a reasonable hotel - just needs some user friendly touchups.

At bedroom side should have plug point and/or USB point ... Kettle is a must or at least option by a fees to lend
convenient for late arrival. Good value for money, good breakfast .Very near metro station
Looks this is former Ibis budget hotel. The room is small and the shower is in the room itself - so no privacy. Otherwise very good - all working and clean. Very close to rail station and metro is opposite from the hotel. To get breakfast need to go outside to the next building, so in winter may be cold.Breakfast was OK, food plates never empty. There were 3 hot dishes to the usual continental choice.
easy access to many things, stores, transport - is very busy and noisy
Excellent
I had a wonderful stay, the room was spacious and clean, the staff were very friendly and helpful. I would definitely stay again
This is a modern hotel convenient for the main railway station. There aren't many places to eat nearby, but careful research paid off. The hotel is favoured by groups of secondary school children who descend on the breakfast room like a awarm of locusts. Breakfast is, however, good.
5 minutes from Gara De Nord station which has a train straight from the airport running every 30 minutes, 2 minutes from the Metro which was helpful for getting around Bucharest. The area does not feel safe at night with open substance abuse, drunken behavior, etc. The hotel is next to MyContinental and appears to be their budget version, the rooms do not have any coffee making facilities so pack a kettle if you want these. There is a small cafe on the ground floor and breakfast is served in a seperate cafeteria which you have to take a small walk outside up and down some steps. Breakfast was consistant with basic choices and you can eat as much as you want. The staff were friendly and helpful and check out and check in was easy.
Everything perfect Breakfast delicious
Very basic room... Bathroom and shower is very small. Clean... It did the job. Key card kept malfunctioning throughout my stay (which was very annoying). Wish there was free coffee on premises for guests. It was okay, considering the price for my stay
I fully understand the reason for a low pricing of the 2-star hotel in terms of very basic provision of services for a budget or hurried travel. However certain essential necessities cannot be compromised such as the shower head was broken and the whole shower head came tumbling down when I first took shower; I was refused a request to borrow a kettle without the concerned staff asking for any reason (like medical reason) that I might have for a kettle.
Hotel was adequate and met my needs. Dates. Shower leaked but otherwise, met my needs and expectations for the price.
Access to transportation. Affordable option. Clean
Great location and very serviceable, though basic.
The location of the hotel was great and easy to find when travelling by airport to Gara Du Nord. The room was comfortable and breakfast was amazing. It is some distance from the old town but there is a metro station beside the property.
Nice and clean room
Nice and clean
The hotel was surprising nice. Room was big and clean. Layout if slightly weird but you get used to it. Shower has strong pressure. For breakfast, you need to walk to the building behind which is like 20 steps. Breakfast was basic with eggs, cheese and sausages. Can’t really complain as it was 2 star hotel. For 2 stars, it’s considered really good.
I really enjoyed my stay at Hello Hotel Gara de Nord. It's in a handy location close to the train station (but the street still feels safe), staff are nice, and there's a decent optional breakfast for 30 Lei if it is not included in your room price, including good machine coffee. I was given a room on the top floor. Cleaners did some basic room cleaning every day (emptied bins, changed towels, etc.) I would definitely stay again.
The guy at the reception was super friendly and accommodated us in a room how we requested
Good staff. Good environments. Not too quiet but OK. Pretty good and variouble breakfast
The toilet in our room had a shower screen door that was transparent and no privacy whatsoever. Very small room. Didnt even tried the shower. Breakfast was acceptable and wi-fi was alright.
Hotel Hello Stay
Very friendly and helpful staff . Excellent ratio price / value
Less than average
Terrible bathroom, decent beds, low breakfast
Perfect
Budget hotel near the Gara de Nord station
This is a very good budget option a short walk from the Gara de Nord railway station. Rooms are large enough for a couple although I was travelling solo. The staff are not numerous and the breakfast is self service in an adjacent building, but nonetheless they are very helpful and everyone is fluent in English. The area isn't attractive but if you are arriving or departing from Gara de Nord, this is a very good choice.
great location, fantastic price & friendly staff
great and efficient staff for check-in and check-out and everything in between. request for quiet room satisfied quick & easy during my 2 stays room (standard) is not large but except for a small desk (none available) it has everything needed. Bed is basic but comfortable. Shower worked absolutely fine. Everything clean and enough room to store suitcases. Price is absolutely great and the location is fantastic with the gara de nord train station just a 5 minutes walk and the underground near the hotel. The Grivita Pub & Grill restaurant facing the hotel is a great place for a delicious burger at a very reasonable price... with usually good music ... and plenty of peanuts to eat if you are not allergic to them. Waiters can be friendly and speak good English ;-) I can only warmly recommend the Hello Hotels Gara de Nord...and the Grivita Pub.
I liked that the property was close to the main transport links .
About as basic as it gets!
This room was about as basic as it gets. A very hard and uncomfortable bed, towels like sandpaper, a shower with no privacy if you're sharing the room with someone. I got what I paid for but will definitely stay somewhere else in the future. Also, the photos they don't show you in the ads for the hotel are of the ghetto outside the hotel.
Nice bed good location
Comfortable bed good location
Good morning, IBIS city category
A clean hotel in central location with friendly staff. Not a bad choice when travelling economy to explore a vibrant, lively city. I can also recommend that - for one, two nights - for usually higher category customers, who want to get an idea how the regular travellers lodge. A good experience!
The bed mattress was just too hard to sleep on, for the rest the the hotel itself and the service was quite lovely.
Misleading description
Don't believe the description. There is no restaurant within hotel that was rather important to us. 60inch television? Haha,16 maybe. Bathroom? Just the fixed shower in dark, small cabin. Very basic, like student accommodation and it was most expensive Comfort Double Room. Staff not very friendly as well. NOT RECOMMENDED!!
This is the second time I’ve stayed at this hotel. It is very nice for the price. I will be coming back
Simple but good location.
Basic room. Nothing fancy but good enough to get your head down Great location with metro close by.
Happy with hotel.close to the central station.room was clean and modern.
Location is good for the metro and Gara de Nord. However the rooms are very basic, mine flooded each time I had a shower. The heater didn't work so it was very cold through the Autumn nights.

good value for money
Friendly and helpful staff, great breakfast. the mattress in the room had a considerable dent on one side but since i was a solo traveller i was alright on the other side.
