Great view from the Roof top! Great place at a decent price!

was very disappointed with the person i checked in. I booked a suite and he gave me a basic room with a pyramid view. Because I was very exhausted from my flight, i didn't realize the next day that I booked a suite with a pyramid view. I told him how I felt and how disappointed i was, that he lied to me and put me to basic room when I fully paid for the suite room. I don't really appreciate how he misled me . He can't be trusted, and he brings down the hotel reputation and dignity. My advice is to make sure you always check what you pay for. We are tourists working hard to earn our money, and we don't tolerate customers' abuse and scams. Overall, the rooftop view is amazing. The restaurant is good service. Do i recommend this place? Absolutely, even though I was scam for a day. Just always pay attention to what you paid for. Also, the transfer shuttle that is on the advertisement is also a lie. Did I get the room I booked for ? Yes, but the trust is not there anymore .

Good value for the price. The good. The view from the rooftop hotel was amazing; the staff was all friendly, helpful, kind and always willing to resolve any issues that came up. The bed was comfortable, the room was cleaned every day and breakfast was good. The bad. The shower pressure was terrible. The ugly. The non-smoking room smelled like cigarette smoke, they switched us to another room and it smelled the same, not much to do in that case, we just had to put up with it. But they were very good about letting us switch rooms. Overall, great value for the money, really what you’re paying for is literally seeing the pyramids from your hotel room window, and that view is priceless.l I would recommend this to travelers who are ok with staying in places that are not 5-star hotels. Everything in the area is about the same. If you’re looking for luxury, stay in Cairo at a chain hotel.

The view from the hotel is spectacular. It is not located in the greatest area.

Do not hesitate to stay here. The view is unsurpassable. The staff are incredibly friendly and kind. Achmed was amazing to my mother and myself. The restaurant upstairs is good. The hotel was under a little renovation, but that’s okay. They are making improvements. Complimentary breakfast in the morning was very plentiful. You only need 1 day here in Cairo and the pyramids. Spend your time in Luxor and Aswan.

The staff at this hotel made me feel like family. EVERYONE was so helpful. Samir really took care of me, Thank you brother. I booked tours with him and my driver, Abdul, was knowledgeable, witty and patient. The view of the Sphinx and Pyramids was unparalleled. Breakfast was wonderful on the rooftop patio. Dinner was wonderful as well. I hope to return to this hotel someday.

They lied to me , never go back

My room had stained/dirty pillow, broken basin tap, leaking bidet sprayer tap with a large puddle of water on the floor. No light switches near beds. No windows. Very poor communication: they check the messages once a day at around 1am therefore if you have problems you can't rely on them. If you stay less than 3 days the shuttle service to/from the airport is 30usd each way. You pay less money using Uber or a taxi. The missing window was somehow positive because of the stench around the area due to the camels and horses parked outside the hotel and the loud noises around. The only positive notes are: Stunning view from the large terrace, the location just opposite the entrance to the pyramids an the courtesy of the staff.

The only thing good about the hotel was the roof top pyramid views. It is a great location right infront of the pyramids. They had a decent morning breakfast and really good cappuccino to offer. The area around the hotel was loaded with horse poop and the smell was unbearable. The hotel staff was very friendly. The night time construction and the drilling noise was a nuisance. (Which is ofcourse not in the property's control) The rooms were fine and clean but the bathrooms were a disaster. Everything was leaking with a broken muslim shower. There was no seperate hand soap only body wash that we used as hand wash. The place around the hotel felt safe as you could see huge police present.

The view of the Pyramids from this property was fantastic. The staff was great! We really enjoyed the rooftop view that allowed us to see the pyramids. However, the area was not great. Each day you exit the building there are a multitude of people including children begging you for money. They follow you the while you’re walking the entire time. It really feels like harassment. A group of people got into a fight and we saw it from our room.

We felt so safe and looked after by the staff here, as a family with small child we were so reassured and had a brilliant time. Amazing view both from room and rooftop, so close. Food was very good, the Shish Tawook was the best chicken I think I've ever eaten! Thank you

The service, views and cleanliness deserve 10 stars. Ruby was amazing! He accommidated our every need. He stayed with us until 5am on the rooftop making aure we had all we needed while overlooking the Sphinx and enjoying a fresh mango juice. I highly recommand this hotel

Great location to the pyramids; so friendly staff at the restaurant, room clean and comfortable beds. Good food - a variety of choice for breakfast. Value for money.

Wonderful little hotel with the best pyramids view. Excellent service. The breakfast privided could be better. The restaurant services for lunch and dinner is wonderful and exceptional waitress services. Definitely I recommend this place.

Rooms are a little dated and basic. But rooms were clean. The staff was great, very friendly and helpful. The view of the pyramids are so worth this stay here.

Insanely brilliant views of Sphinx/Pyramids!

The Good: the best views of the Pyramid Complex, bar none. Much closer than we imagined. Even if your room doesn’t have a view (ours did, Room 101), just walk onto the rooftop terrace and feast your eyes on a true wonder of the world. The Bad: the noisiest hotel I’ve ever stayed in (and that’s saying something!). The elevator shaft seem to be in constant use, connected to our room! Cockerels crowing at the break of day, camels, and horse drawn carts coming through the narrow street below, the sounding of horns, loud conversations, inside and out, windows that cannot be closed. But you don’t come to this location to sleep you come for the view and the close proximity of the most mind blowing historical site.

The location, 30 yrds from the entrance to the Pyramids complex, could hardly be bettered. The view from the rooftop terrace, to the Sphinx and Pyramids, is sublime. the manager and staff were wonderful hosts - very friendly and helpful. The area immediately outside, near the Pyramids is bustling with tourists and locals trying to sell you souvenirs or offering a taxi and can be a little crazy. Overall though, one of the friendliest hotels I've been to and the location is unbeatable.

Not safe

Worse place ever! I paid for Pyramid views and they sent me to another building in a none safe area. Windows didn’t locked neither the door. It was super scary. The only good thing is the roof top view just the view.

the hotel is nice , but I don't know if they tricked me when I arrived they put me in one room and then moved my luggages to a smaller room and made me paid 50 U.S. dolar more to put me back in the big room. I guess in Egypt taking advantage of tourists is just a daily routine as much as possible

Currently filing a claim for my missing wedding ring and other expensive rings that went missing in my room. I never wore them or took them out after I checked in the room. The cleaners came in only after one day when I didn’t request it and I left my rings in my bag on the bed not expecting anyone to be in my room. When I checked my bag I realized four rings were missing to the amount of $2200. The hotel is currently investigating.

Pyramids

The best hotel to stay for views of the pyramids. Just amazing and took our breath away. Unfortunately the area where the hotel is very poor and just felt everyone trying to get as much money out of you as possible . The manager of the hotel was so lovely to us and made sure our stay was good . I would definitely go back and highly recommend if want a view you will never forget

I got to the property they told me that the hotel is full and wanted me to stay at quote in quote “ Extention “ for one night and was promised that i will be in upgraded room with the view of the pyramids I went to the Extention i saw it in apartment setting that is worse than 2 star hotel I refused to stay in the in the Extention i did not feel safe The area is in slump atmosphere that has has horses and people everywhere , horses are eating directly from the trash . Horrible scenery I went back to the hotel and spoke to the main manager and insisted that i booked in a hotel and not in apartment setting So they have contact the hotel next to them called Great Pyramids Inn. Three stars hotel Given with my options and i was extremely tired i decided to stay one night at the hotel they referred me in The next day I went to hayat hotel to see if my room is ready. The room was ready but was not near what i was promised No view at the pyramids Wifi is not working despite letting the hotel staff know Hotel was outdated non near a four star classification The elevator was not working for a whole day

They promised to do better in July. We recieved the room for me and my American friends, and they were so old dirty sheers and towels … we had to bribe them to cleam everthing . I called the manger and he was rude and hung on my face …. My American friends came 2 am and in the morning they said they wanted to leave the hotel becuase it is dirty. The left at 12:00 noon The hotel told us that we can cancell from expedia abd they will charge us two nights: one we used and one penalty that we didn’t use. We agreed and i called Expedia Expedia called the hotel, and the hotel said they have to cancel the rooms first and they we decided if we can give them them refunds( i know they were lying). We told the hotel we would keep everything as is, and we came back in the evening, they told us the two rooms ar locked by mistake and that they didn’t have extra keys ( they rented our rooms under table… and they kept us all in one room till next day at 7:00 pm It is horrible, dishonest, and untusted My car got damaged intentionally at the front of the hotel and they didn’t care

It is a great location with many options. From the roof you can attend the light show every day for free. The staff is great and will do to make you happy. It has a great breakfast and easy access to pyramids. I really enjoyed the great location and the large room. It is a great hotel. I stayed 6 wonderful days.

The best and only good part is that it is facing the Pyramid and Sphynx and that is why I booked it. The room had several issues in the washroom with broken drain, broken faucet, water leakage, leaking air conditioner. They repaired it after we reported but I am surprised that how come they were not aware of these pre-existing problems before our check in. We booked taxi through hotel with pre-decided time for two excursions, fully paid in advance but the hotel staff did not bother to call any taxis until we went and pushed them. Taxis arrived almost one hour after our pre-decided time.

First let me say that the roof top restaurant area could not be better! We were very pleased with the gorgeous view and the staff was very helpful and gracious. The area around the hotel is terrible!! The only complaint we have about the hotel itself is that we didn’t have water one day.

Overall a clean hotel, air conditioning, great view of the pyramids. Beware of the staff trying to get you to book tours, etc through them, pretty relentless on selling. Even though the booking clearly stated roundtrip airport shuttle service with booking 3 or more nights (I did 6) they refused to drive me back to the airport. I had to uber it. Says non smoking, but maintenance worked the entire trip in the hallways and they all smoked constantly. So not a bad hotel, but some shady staff for sure.

Hotel staff was very friendly and informative. If your purpose is to see pyramids, this is a great place to stay. View from the rooftop was amazing. I stayed 4 nights and it was noisy outside even at night.

This was probably the worst hotel we've ever stayed in, it was dirty, unkept, extremely poorly maintained, and worst, the staff simply didn't communicate with each other. Very frustrating and disappointing.

This is not a 4 star hotel, it is a dirty shady place that post pictures that don’t reflect the reality. None of the pictures is the room you get. The room was dirty, smelly, had exposed electric wires next to the shower. I couldn’t stay there, Expedia offered me a refund if I waited until next morning to get a different room I liked but it was disgusting and they refuse to give me my refund. Avoid this place. There are many hotels in this area way better

Horrible place

No hot water. Construction saws and hammering until 3 am. Horrid smell of chemicals at 4 am. Linens are dull gray. Sliding door did not lock. No airport shuttle. Enough said.

The photos on Expedia are a misrepresentation of the actual hotel. It’s in a good location due to the pyramids being with a 15-20 minute walk. But the hotel itself is outdated and needs major upkeep.

Very nice service

Staff was very courteous. The location to attractions, restaurant and views were amazing. We had 2 issues. The sheets and towels need to be updated. They were old and worn out. The hotel needs to be clear on the policy on transportation to the airport. We had a group of 5 and booked 2 rooms, but they said we can only provide one car, so we have to pay for second car for luggage. The overall experience was pretty good.

Not bad

Better hotel compared to the other hotels in Giza that are close the pyramids. Not a good view to the pyramids from the hotel room as advertised, we were in room 203 so other rooms might have better view.

The only good thing about the hotel is the view of the pyramids. I was there for a week and wifi didn’t work. I was nervous to wrap up in blankets so I slept on top of sheets with clothes on.

An honest review. The property location was amazing 10/10 but the room we had 104 was awful. We could not sleep due to the noise in & outside the property. The beds were clean but the room was grubby. Limited plug sockets( if they worked) tv hardly worked & the cleanliness of the room was questionable. Breakfast was nice but due to it being cold mornings in December all the food was cold. Staff in the food area at the terrace were helpful & lovely. When we arrived the greeting was more like a hard sale for excursions, which wasn’t pleasant. Especially as when your in the hotel you expect to get away from that especially in the Giza area. Be really for husslers outside the hotel! It’s very hard to get away from it there.

The hotel is nice, the staff was great, and the room was ok, the problem for us was the area, the streets are extremely filthy with trash and animals waste, and there were animals in really poor condition around the whole area, also it was very far away from the airport, so If you don't mind what is outside the hotel, then I would recommend it, the breakfast was good with a great view to the pyramids.

I had a good stay at this property up until after I left and discovered that money was missing from my handbag. I’d only left it once in the room on my last night there to go upstairs and have dinner and the money was there up to that point. I unfortunately did not check my bag before leaving the hotel early the next morning but on the way to the airport I was searching for money to tip the driver and all of it was gone. This wiped out all the good experience I had at the place. There is no safe in the rooms too store valuables. I had carried my handbag with me everywhere except for that last night, big mistake!

Staff was friendly and there if you needed anything. Wifi was terrible and not working at times but the view of the pyramids made up the difference

Pros: Location, view from terrace, affordable. Cons: Cleanliness, noisy, pretty basic/old furniture. From my experience the hotel is OK for what you pay for. Hotel needs more deep cleaning, had a roach wondering in my room. My window faced the street so it was loud at night. Staff can be a little pushy but that was also the experience througout Cairo with all sales people. I'd recommend to do yoyr research and find tours on your own instead of going with hotel's recommendation.

This is the most friendly place. They would do anything to make you feel even better than home. Thanks To every single person of the hotel. From head to toe. Has the best view to the pyramids the restaurant stuff very professional, friendly and the food exquisite. Highly recommended. I'll be back to this hotel

The hotel is very nice. In the heart of the Giza pyramids. The view from the terrace is 10/10. I wasnt happy with the room in terms of what i paid for as Hotel.com advertised wrongly with the pictures on their website!! I was impressed with the picstures hence i booked it but it was nothing like the sort :/ but because of the freindly and helpfull staff memebers i cant realy fault the hotel itself. They looked after us really well especialy the manager :). Breakfast at the terrace with the pyramids view is a bonus. And you can even see the daily sound and light show free fron the terrace lol. Overall an 8/10 rating 👍

Best place with view of pyramids would stay there again also was a ticket booth near to enter pyramids.Staff was excellent offered you extra trips if you have down time Also will have someone escort you to get a sim so you can have cell phone service Bring extra money to tip your guide and driver, only cation is just say no thank you if you don’t want to buy souvenirs even just having them take your picture with your phone a tip is expected.

the property does have a wonderful view of the Giza plateau. the expectation of excessive tipping. tipping is not an option they expected tipping and no less than 100ep

My stay was pretty decent. Good customer service, very helpful, Giza itself is not the best and there's not the best food around. The room was spacious. The hotel has a great view of the pyramids. There is a restaurant on the top floor the food is ok. I ordered the same thing three nights in a row and taste different each time. The ticket booth to the pyramids and sphinx is a 2 minute walk. STUDENTS HAVE YOUR IDS READY AS YOU GET A DISCOUNTED RATE. The prices are listed on the outside of the ticket booth and please tourist handle your own money because these people in Giza will try to over-price you badly. Carriage ride should not cost more than $150 pounds even though they're charging $350 pounds not that big of a difference. Well I stay at this hotel again sure but just one or two nights. Uber is cheap anywhere in Egypt. The hotel does need to update the address on Google! It's best to use the shuttle that the hotel offers.

View of the pyramids was great but that’s about it. The room was not cleaned before I checked in, there was still hair in the bed and all over the floor from the last person, as well as trash. The was no window in the room so it was like sleeping in a cave and when you turned the sink in the bathroom on water started coming out from the bottom all over the floor. Free Wi-Fi was advertised however it barely worked.

Great pyramid view. The hotel was clean. There were no set prices on anything. Is as if the hotel management wanted to abuse guests’ good will to pay five times more for cheap services. If you want to walk around the hotel at night, this is not the place to stay.

Tv didn’t work Internet didn’t work

This hotel is well located only if you plan to be close to the pyramids every day. Otherwise is super far away from all the main attractions in Cairo and traffic is horrendous to move around. This hotel needs a deep cleaning. The breakfast was uneatable, there were millions of flies all over. This property could be a gem but it is been neglected! I have to say that day staff are very friendly and welcoming!! It is good for 1 or 2 days stay max.

Good place, excellent view and friendly staff

Gorgeous view. Friendly helpful staff. This hotel is very traditional so if you are married and want to stay in the same hotel room, you must have a marriage certificate. Also, the free airport shuttle is only one-way. So when you leave, you are responsible for your own transportation back to the airport. On another note, the breakfast is delicious. The room is very comfortable. There are many activities/tours. Would stay there again.

Well we thought it will be a nice place to stay but it's a very bad experience with the surrounding area and the hotel they're very poor conditions but the staff is amazing they're will do anything to you to make you happy!!! The owner of the hotel should make this place lot's better and will have lots more people happy!

It’s Hayat not Hyatt - never again

Staff tried their best and the hotel has a super location… that the best I can say. but, it’s dirty, and folks, it’s not Hyatt it’s Hayat !! Yes, I messed up, but never again. We checked out after one night though we had paid for two. About 5 min after we arrived staff already tried to sell trips, escurtions etc.. very pushy! The heating was broken. They brought twice heaters that was also broken, and we ended up refusing. Told us to dial 2 if we needed anything.. but there was no phone, they brought a phone, but couldn’t find a plug, 2 windows in the room, both leading to dark and dirty shafts … I could go on..

Christmas Day with the Spinx

A great location ! Entrance and ticket house right across. Had a pyramid view balcony Sat on terrace for snacks breakfast and dinner Can see Spinx and pyramids very well Can also see the lights of the Sound and light show Food is good Samir, Eisa, Ahmed and Gemail were great Price is excellent Only issue was with nighttime street noise and a rude chef who spoke no English Would recommend!!

The view and proximity to the pyramids was great. The room did not have any bottled water or utensils to make tea with. I'd requested a pickup from airport but received no confirmation from the hotel that one was to be provided only be told after making arrangements and getting to the hotel that one was sent for me.

Good for pyramid view on roof top only

The pick up was on time and driver was friendly. The check in was good and receptionist walk around hotel. The hotel roof location is perfect for pyramid view. You may not find views from the rooms. The hotel serves traditional breakfast. The hygiene is questionable though. It is backpackers type hotel. The rooms and hotel conditions, and hygiene were lower standards. The hotel manager should be more polite.

You get what you paid for with this hotel. What you pay for is the view of the pyramids which is amazing! What made this hotel okay was the no wifi especially bc they advertise wifi.

As a first timer in Egypt, in Cairo, I had a very pleasant experience at this hotel. The night manager of the hotel Ahmed, was very helpful and very accommodating to all of my needs and concern from day one. Mohammed was very kind. Even Samir was very helpful with setting up the tours of all the various sites we wanted to visit. He hooked us up with an amazing guide named Ahmed, whom I would highly recommend to anyone going for a visit to Cairo or anywhere else in Egypt. Ahmed is very knowledgeable in the sector of ancient Egyptian history, he is very kind, takes his time to answer all of your questions and goes above and beyond to make sure you gain the full experience of what the ancient & modern Egyptian history and culture is all about. Highly recommend asking the hotel staff to set you up with Ahmed on all of your tours, from Cairo to Luxor, to Sharm el-Sheikh. Last but not least, If you are looking for a family oriented experience, for culture, and if you are looking to gain new brothers and sisters from a different yet beautiful part of the world, then this Hotel is the place to be. Every single staff member will be kind to you, and treat you with the utmost respect, care, and compassion. In return, I would suggest for all my fellow Americans to treat them with respect, care and compassion as well. They are opening their arms to share their culture and history with you, so show them some decency, kindness and understanding towards their customs and ways of life.

I enjoyed my stay here. Their wifi was not working in the rooms and could only be accessible in the lobby area. I wouldn't take any points tho. The view from my room and the terrace was spectacular!. The staff was really friendly and ready to help you with whatever you need.

This hotel and its restaurant were the best part of my entire trip through Egypt! The food, service, ice-cold air conditioner, and views to the Pyramids made every moment beautiful and comfortable. I totally recommend this place!

This is a great place, the staff made me feel like family. I woke to breakfast with the Pyramids every day and went to bed after having dinner with them and watching the light show. They went out of their way to take care of me. It felt more like a bed and breakfast than it did a hotel. They escorted me to the gym and made sure I was taken care of every step of the way. I consider them friends and can’t wait to come back!!! Try to get Ahmed as your tour guide. He has a little souvenir shop that’s around the corner lies with great quality souvenirs at a fair price. This guy is like the history teacher you always wanted and the end of my trip felt more like a brother. 10 out of 10 wound stay again and I highly recommend!!

Mr. Gamal and Ahmed were excellently helpful and friendly. I would definitely come back to the hotel again. I recommend this hotel to everyone. The location is so great, just one minute to the pyramids tickets office and the entry. The hotel is so clean and perfect.
