Great resort with super friendly staff who really make your holiday. We stayed in a Beachfront bungalow, which was beautiful, had all we needed. Would love to return again.
Beautiful setting! The staff was great with special kudos to waitstaff Bernadette, Gabrielle and Brad. All inclusive food was surprisingly well done, with great creativity!
A hidden gem. If you want to be away from crowds/want a slower, quieter pace, this is it. The beach was lovely- plenty of loungers, & the staff aimed to please. It was the nicest water I've ever swam in-crystal turquoise and clean. Temp was just right, even in Jan. Great 'no kids' aspect. What few teenagers I saw were polite and respectful. Applause for: -constant drink offers all day on the beach (Brad) -landscaping crew raking up debris each morning as the ground is grassy, not sandy, plenty of shade -beautiful scenery, florals, and sunsets -all inclusive nature Opportunities: -bathroom fixtures that support the soap, etc./ window screens were in ill repair allowing lots of bugs, need more hooks/towel bars, and a desk lamp -communication: got a brief welcome chat at check in, but we just got off a long flight and counted on the email we were being sent, however the email asked to complete a check in form and upon doing so, the email disappeared...we would have welcomed a sheet or folder of info including the weekly schedule of meal times, menus, and tips and tricks...along with the entertainment schedule, watersports, yoga schedule, etc. everything was piecemeal and had to be hunted for repeatedly -buffet was repetitive -special lunch restaurant was not special -some tiles and stairs are loose and hazardous -beach towels scarce -pitch dark at night, ill lit *be aware property is swim at your own risk Overall, it was beautiful, serene, and a great value. We will return!
Beautiful, secluded resort with incredible staff.
We really enjoy the staff attention to details. Great food!!
Management (Mario) was superb in a personal crisis, customer service from restaurant staff and room staff was wonderful. The pool was amazing, as was the WiFi. Food choices were great, it has been a lovely holiday. The niggles: reception staff do not smile and could be officious. The fridge in the room was unstocked the whole time. You are given one tiny bottle of water you are expected to refill throughout the holiday, it was only a mouthful and not adequate when you can’t drink tap and there was nothing to drink at night from the fridge. I ended up getting a plastic 2 litre rum bottle and filling that up, so bring your own bottle/canteen. Plus Expedia advertise the holiday as all taxes included, they are not. $10 per room per night is payable as a tourist tax when you arrive. I knew about the tax prior but believed the marketing. The only reason I would give this hotel a bad review is because I don’t want more people to come here. I have stayed in luxury resorts on the island, this beat them all. The pool and view was amazing, and (most of) the staff so friendly. I would not hesitate to book again.
Great weather, very relaxed resort
Beautiful place in an amazing location but above all the staff were above and beyond. The breakfast chef, the waitresses at breakfast and the especially the bar man Dalston. They really made our trip. Should have stayed longer.
Service: when we arrived we were greeted at the front desk by Denise and had a pleasant experience. The quality of service began to decline throughout the course of my stay. To name a few issues, the staff were not attentive to my needs and I had to ask multiple people for multiple things to include: coffee, towels and wash rags. The concierge did not know about any of the excursions and therefore did not provide adequate/accurate information. The only time I felt greeted well was when the staff wanted to sell something from their side gig. Appearance: while I can appreciate the natural beauty of the landscape, the resort could use some renovations. One of our light bulbs were out in the room, the lighting was very dark, and the resort was dated. Entertainment/Food: I was very disappointed with the food as it was not culturally authentic and instead was a bit mediocre. As a tourist one of the highlights of traveling is experiencing the authenticity of the culture of that country. The entertainment was also very Eurocentric/Americanized which took away from the experience. The resort also did not have many activities to do and seems to be geared to an older crowd. I did enjoy my time off the resort much more and feel I was able to see some more authentic things and therefore do not plan to come back.
Our stay at the Hawksbill resort was amazing. It was very nice and quiet, there were many great food options, and all four beaches were beautiful. We are sad to be saying goodbye and would recommend to any others who are looking for a nice relaxing vacation.
Nice beach and pool, shame about the awful room.
Stayed in a garden view room - very old and tired, needs complete refurbishment (Avoid this room type if at all possible!). Shower and toilet area looked like they were from the 1980’s and everything needs replacing, so couldn’t wait to get out of room each day. Rest of resort is fine, nice pool area and lovely beach. Restaurant is fine - reasonable choice of buffet food but they seem to be having staffing problems as the kitchen couldn’t keep up with demand so it was hit and miss what was available each time we went to the counters. Some of the staff didn’t seem to be enjoying their jobs, so maybe some kind of management dispute has taken place. All in all, it’s a lovely resort apart from the dilapidated rooms.
.Great Value Stay
Great value location, superb beaches and snorkelling with lots of fish. Very good food choices and as much drinks as you want. The rooms are not luxurious but more than adequate and a good size. The water sports equipment is plentiful and the guy who oversees this is very helpful. A special shout out to the front desk who sorted out our last minute flight delay moving our booking and departure back a day at no extra cost. I would thoroughly recommend this hotel
This resort is unreal! The rooms are so beautiful and all close to beach. Endless property and 3 beach options. The food was great too with a big selection of high quality. Kayaks, snorkeling and paddleboarding all free. This resort is very quiet and peaceful, if you are looking for a party I wouldn't recommend, but a romantic trip or tranquility, this resort is fabulous.
Beautiful cosy resort, brilliant and friendly staff & lovely room & location x
If you are looking for a quiet, serene beach vacation this is your resort. 4 beautiful beaches to walk! I am celiac and I had no issues with eating here. Shout out to chef Brian who was very knowledgeable on gluten free and they had gluten free bread to request! The bar and grill on the beach was very convenient and you will get the best drinks from David. He always had a smile on his face and was always so relaxed and calm even when the bar was busy. Finally the water sports attendant Gerald, who was great at his job ensuring that hosts are enjoying their stay using the equipment. He took my husband out for a refresher on the hobby cat which was much appreciated. Although we didn’t get to use it much due to the unforeseen swells and high tides due to the full moon which was a bummer. But I would definitely return.
A fantastic little all inclusive hotel and resort nestled out of the way in a lovely corner of Antigua with 4 beautiful beach’s to choose from. The accommodation is spread over the resort and even when it’s full the resort doesn’t feel busy. The staff are so helpful and friendly and the facilities are really good and only improving as they have invested quite a lot of improvements over the last year or so. The food was good with plenty of choice and variety. Although none of the rooms have a tv the resort WiFi is excellent everywhere and we had no problem streaming or downloading films onto our iPad to watch in the evenings. All and all this is a lovely resort and I would definitely return.
Stayed for 14 nights in a beach bungalow with our own sunbed right outside the room very peaceful apart from the hassle of getting a drink , the restaurant bar only opens from 12pm , the beach snack bar/drinks bar is a distance to walk to, but opens at 19am. You are given 2 bottles of water in fridge on arrival & are expected to keep these to refill for the whole holiday unless you book directly with the hotel then you get a full mini bar .I suggest taking drinking water beakers & other cups to keep drinks cold which they are happy to fill at the bars .Food choice is limited but ok snack bar & GTS restaurant are good at lunchtime. Staff all friendly but can be hit & miss with service . The views are spectacular, especially from the infinity pool . Sea is really nice but can be rough some days,I also recommend taking water shoes . Overall a lovely holiday but some improvements could be made.
If you are looking for a place to completely to get away from it all with a laid-back vibe, this would be the place. The rooms and property are just what was expected. We stayed in the rooms on the Royal Beach. You can swim there, but beware it is a rocky beach. Sugar Grapes beach was best for swimming. The food was good, and the drinks were the best we've experienced at any other all-inclusive. Besides the beautiful scenery, food, drinks and accommodations, the staff were what really made this place stand out from other places we have visited. Just to name a few that stood out Odette, Serena, Dalston, David, Brad, and Chris, there are many more that we didn't get their names unfortunately but sincerely enjoyed meeting them and thank them for their time and care insuring we had everything we needed. We would definitely visit again.
Amazing place and kindest people. The food def needs to be better along with the room needing upgrades.
If you enjoy nature this is the location for you. However if you have difficulties walking, I would suggest avoiding. This location is filled with beautiful views, but it also has lots of hills and steps.
If you stay at the Hawksbill and do not get to know the water sports guy you will be missing out great person and very helpful take the time to get to know all the staff very good people
Beautiful, Quiet, great location
I really like the friendly staff and the way gow they woukd greet guest at any area on the hotel. I would like to thank derissia for her wonderful decoration in the room. It was my birthday
Ripped off
The staff don’t smile for some reason. The toilet does not flush properly. No bottled water in my room. The fan string was broken. But my one big peeve was that for three days nobody came back to me to extend my stay by one night and when I finally ask at the counter, they make talk to a lady who insisted on $350 take it or leave it. I realise that I was being ripped off and chose another hotel instead.
It’s amazing. Great staff and food. Isn’t perfect by any means but great beds and ac and easy way of life.
The amazing staff and couples massage makes this the place I love to vacation every time
The place was simple but quite nice, excellent beaches including a nude beach. Definitely a must do again.
Beautiful location. The water is very clear with gorgeous shades of blue. Great snorkeling off the beaches. Very quiet relaxed resort. The people working at the resort are so kind and accommodating.
The staff was always helpful; kept us entertained. Properly clean and serene. Beautiful scenery.
Beautiful beach and very quiet during the day. At night to loud music
Staff was great.paid for upgrade and was not worth the money room had been updated supposedly but was not very nice need more than one waiter for whole beach and pool.Third restaurant was closed ,had to really pay attention to time so you could eat property needs a lot more updates made but the people were great which was very nice
Had an awesome time! Had a few issues at first that were corrected immediately! The staff went over and beyond for me. They all knew my name and of course invited me back! I hope to go back when possible. Thank You All for your welcoming hospitality and atmosphere
If you’re looking for a luxurious high end, big resort, lots of choices, then this is not for you. If you are looking for something more intimate, tranquil, sort of like a “bed & breakfast” feel then this is perfect. The staff are very polite and attentive. The resort is located on a beautiful quiet area where you can walk to 3 different beaches. They have an amazing infinity pool where you can catch the sunsets. Good amount of chairs and umbrellas at both areas. The rooms are clean and cute but as mentioned, nothing crazy luxurious. No TVs yet, they did mention eventually putting some. We brought a laptop to watch movies at night if needed and did the job. Make sure to choose your room according to your needs. My only real downfall was the buffet, specifically for the evening. Breakfast - average American style, typical options. Could offer more fruit options. Lunch - we much fathered the beach restaurant “a la carte” then the buffet. Dinner - many options were repetitive, mind you the buffet is already smaller than what you might be used to, so we didn’t feel very satisfied. Went out for dinner 1 night ( Sheer Rock ) and it was well worth it. They definitely could use more entertainment, but the concept is more tranquility and older crowd. Definitely worth to check out for honey moons, wedding anniversaries and baby moons.
Staff were wonderful, food is a bit bland and repetitive, scenery cant be beaten
Used beach towels was left for multiple days on chairs. Food was repetitive and average. Grounds and beach area are gorgeous! Water is so warm with no waves to battle. If you want peaceful and relaxing this is the place for you.
We absolutely loved it here. We stayed a week and it was utter paradise - lounged on the beach or by the pool all day. The food is good, great variety of drinks, and the beaches are amazing. It's a bit tricky to get around, unless you have a car you will be dependent on taxis, but if you're looking for proper relaxation then this is the place! All the staff were totally wonderful, friendly, went above and beyond for us. It might not be the fanciest resort on the island but it was so friendly and welcoming and we felt totally at home. Would recommend to anyone!
Fantastic location. Kind and welcoming staff. Good food and services. Special shout out to the resident cats Lolly and Maverick.
Not what we expected. Service was average. Not as friendly as we wanted. Room had ants in the bathroom. Shower WAY too small and never enough towels. The food wasn’t bad. Just really hoping for a larger variety. As far as the resort, the water was was amazing and the view was great. Took the Island tour and it was by far the best part. Overall, have to say we were a little disappointed. Not sure if we’ll make the trip back there again.
This resort could be so much nice if only a few more upgrades are made. I was made to understand that Management is actively working on upgrading some of the rooms. Simple upgrades such as a full length mirror, a shower caddy, a TV in the room, would make a huge difference. The staff were AMAZING! There could be more variety added to the meals as well. Overall, I enjoyed my stay and would visit again.
Nice resort with beautiful ocean views and great staff! The infinity pool was amazing! Very quiet. They don’t even have tv’s in the rooms which I was ok with. The only drawback is that if you book this place indirectly (such as thru Expedia), they charge you extra for several things! You have to pay $30 each way for the taxi/shuttle to and from resort, which is complimentary for those who book direct. You also have to pay a $50 resort fee and an additional $10 per day if you want your minibar restocked, which is not charged if you book direct. Other than that I really liked this resort!
The staff was incredibly welcoming and went out of their way to accommodate all our requests. The room was comfortable, although the bathroom could benefit from some updates. The food was delicious and offered a wide variety of options each day. Be prepared for a short walk if your room is located away from the main activities.
This resort is just so beautiful plus you have free water sports. The staff is so friendly. The dinner and breakfast was amazing.
👍
Average
five star location for a three star hotel. bungalow nice but i would put a door to divide bathroom area from the room. some staff very nice others very incompetent and rude. food can be better but not bad. the place is magic. fantastic beaches and amazing swimming pool. property is very well maintained but they really need to have conversation with staff
The staff was very friendly. However, no Caribbean food.
It's a beautiful location and the water and views are amazing. Some areas are updated (infinity pool, honeymoon suites) but there are a lot of areas that need work. Dining options are minimal and the food is basic. The staff is wonderful and its a great place to go if you're just trying to relax and be off the grid.
Love the hotel and the beach
Loved the food. Choices were varied every day. Food was fresh and delicious. Staff was always very friendly and catered to our every need. Bungalow room was spacious with amenities. Shower a bit small but bathroom and room was clean and cleaned daily. Beaches were pristine and pool was amazing. Overall my stay was amazing at the Hawksbill resort. I would definitely recommend

Beautifuk beach, quiet and friendly staff.
