Great location and outstanding staff. They greet you with smiles when you arrive and when you go out. Everyone is so helpful and if there is a problem with your room they take care of it immediately. Very easy check in and checkout. I’ve stayed here three different years and will gladly return next year.

DO NOT STAY HERE - health hazard

The property was mouldy - they gave us 2rooms on the 9th floor which were covered in mould. When we went back down to complain the guy at reception didn’t care at all. After 10mins of waiting for him to do something about it - (he wasn’t actually doing anything!) I told him we wanted new rooms - he took me to the 5th floor to show us 1 room he said was available - it was still not cleaned - this was at 10:30pm! We had booked 2 nights - we left after the first night & stayed at a very nice hotel. I asked to speak with the manager first thing the next morning but was told he was not coming in as it was a Sunday!! The guy who checked us in the night before told me the manager would be in at 8am & he would speak to me… This hotel is NOT AS DESCRIBED - no safe in room, no pillow menu, no pillow top bed, no blackout curtains & the windows certainly weren’t soundproofed! You could hear every noise from the street as if the windows were wide open. The breakfast was diabolical - everything was stone cold as they cooked up a pile of fried eggs & left them on a plate, same with spring rolls - the cutlery was filthy. This hotel is 2 star at best by western standards. SAVE YOUR MONEY & book elsewhere.

My stay was amazing and everything went very well! I would love to stay here again in the future!

Poor stay @ Victor Gallery Hotel

I was not impressed by this hotel. The late evening karaoke sound from outdoor in the street was echoing through my room most of the night. I asked for a different room, but they were booked up. When I went to take a shower the hose disconnected from the Fossett. Water was all over the floor. The bellhop finally came and fixed it, late evening. Shower stall design was very poor allowing additional water to get all over the floor in the bathroom. I went to neighboring Victor rooftop bar and restaurant property down the street for a meal. Very overpriced and incredibly poor service for how much I was charged. I would not go back to the Victor gallery hotel chain again. I felt the description on Hotels.com about the hotel was misleading.

I loved this hotel. Ruby helped set up travel for me when I left to Ha Long Bay and she arranged transportation to Ninh Binh. She was wonderful in helping me schedule my trip. It's a great hotel. Very nice room with a view of the street below. I highly recommend.

Great service and staff and very convenient location right around the corner from the lake. It is on a busier street however and it would be best to bring earplugs or choose a room that’s not fronting onto the street if possible.

Very dated, pictures very deceiving. Original booking price inaccurate, “saving price” more realistic for what you get. Wouldn’t spend more than $60 a night on this hotel. However staff were lovely and very helpful so feel bad giving a bad review

The hotel is at the center of the city but the rooms TV were not smart and we were also charged for a napkin because of some coloration issues which has never happened to me in the past. I think we could have had a better experience

Property is just run down. Hot water was labeled as cold and cold is hot. Convenient place if you jusy want to stay in Old Hanoi. Bed is down to your ankles and a bit lumpy. Towels were a bit tattered. Front desk tried to accuse us of taking water from the mini bar (which we did not), meanwhile the fridge wasn't even plugged in. Laundry cost was ridiculously high when you could literally go accross the street to get the same service for a fraction of the price.

This property very dirty place in the room roches are everywhere ding area is very dusty un healthy food very basic I’m not feeling good when I check in very looking room and all area feel un comfortable I ask I’m staying here refund me money they said I can’t refund

The hotel is dated. The lock on our room was broken and had to be fixed; and safe had to be replaced and was not achored allowing the staff to carry away the old to replace with another. The bed is very uncomfortable (--too firm) without any extra pillows. The staff, however, were very helpful, friendly, and assisted us with directions and car services.

The photos on Expedia (and Booking. com) are not all the Victor Gallery Hotel. The Skybar is at their sister hotel on the same road 200 metres away. I feel I was deceived. The hotel is not flash like the photos show. If this hotel was 1/3 of the price I paid I would not be disappointed.

Excellent location, good value

This hotel had a great location at a great price. The room we stayed in did not match the images on the website. I believe those images are from the sister hotel which is across the road. The rooftop bar is also not at this hotel, it is at the sister hotel across the road. Only a 2 minute walk away. The room was fine. The air conditioning was amazing! The staff were lovely. The room had some parts that needed to be touched up, such as the skirting boards and some parts of the walls were stained but nothing worrying, only aesthetic fixes needed. Overall at this price it was worth it.

Not like the pictures.

The photos are a bit deceiving. It’s not as nice as the photos. Hotel seems nothing like the pictures. Also, the bar is not located in this actual hotel. It’s at a different hotel. I checked in at 2 PM got escorted to two rooms. None of them were clean housekeeping was still working finally checked in the third room that was already.

appearance is OK but room decoration looks old and some bad smell due to renovation.

Peony was so friendly, helpful and efficient and we were grateful for her English speaking ability. Our arrival was delayed by several hours and the taxi was unable to drop us right outside hotel - the traffic was nuts- Peony appeared out of nowhere and grabbed both our suitcases , wheeled them with is tottering behind, through a million motor bikes and cars back to the hotel. Impressive!

This place had intermittent wifi . Towels were old. Breakfast stale cereal. Good location is a bonus.
