Excellent location, very convenient. Close to shops, restaurants, ATM, Hoan Kiem Lake. Staff is very friendly, welcoming and accommodating. Room is clean. I highly recommend this hotel and I would stay here again.

Wonderful place to stay in Hanoi! Only steps from the lake and really in the heart of the Old Quarter. I liked it so much I extended my stay for several days! Julie at the front desk is extremely nice, helpful and welcoming!

Tout est bien

Location of this hotel was great however the rooms themselves are pretty run down and dirty. The bathroom in the first room I was in was very run down. I asked to move rooms ( I was happy to pay ) but wanted to view the room first. They offered me a lake view room which was a little better but still not recommended. Overall the staff were great and location excellent.

We had a room on 4th floor for first 3 nights which was much smaller than when we returned to hotel after a few days where we stayed on the 8th floor. 4th floor room felt very cramped for 3 adults but 8th floor room was perfectly fine. 4th floor room was noisy as the doors to balcony didn't close fully. Very limited options for breakfast. Location is perfect near the lake and all restaurants and walking distances to many attractions including night markets and beer street.

GREAT HANOI LOCATION!!!!

Great place centrally located. Great view of Lake Kiem from our balcony. Spacious room. Breakfast from the top floor was awesome with the added stunning view. Julie coordinated our trip to our awesome HaLong Bay cruise, our journey to Sapa and returning to Hanoi airport. Great job Julie!!!

Convenient

I won’t stay here again or recommend this place. I will say that the location was fantastic, super easy to walk everywhere. Because it was in such a busy area it was very loud at all times, sleeping with earplugs is a must. It was our fault for booking a room without a window/balcony, but the room we got smelled damp and musty. I felt like I couldn’t breathe. We could only stay for about 10 minutes before my partner and I decided to change rooms because we wouldn’t be able to sleep with the smell like that. Not only was the smell horrible, the room didn’t look like the pictures AT ALL!! It was super dark (even with all lights on) and the furniture was so different. The walls were old and peeling too. Luckily we were able to pay to upgrade to a room with a balcony for a few nights. This was so much better, whilst still not looking like the photos, we felt that it was cleaner than the first room. Downside was that there was toilet flooding and the drainage in the shower was extremely slow. Our last night there we got moved across the hall to a room with a window. The receptionist showed us photos of the room beforehand and it still didn’t look anything like the pictures. The windows were 10x smaller than shown and the room/bathroom was very outdated. Felt dirty and stains were all over the sheets. One positive was that this bathroom didn’t flood hahaha If you don’t mind dodgy quarters for a good location, I would stay here!

An old hotel. Very dated, not well maintenances. Not so clean, breakfast is poor. We didn't enjoy at all. I was totaly surprised to see in the reception the hotel rank 9.4 . It is simply impossible!

Staff were lovely, hotel was convienient for everything and room was lovely

This was a great hotel in a great location. We stayed here both before and after our Ha Giang Loop tour and we will definitely come stay here again when we come back. The location is in a great area - the only issue is if you are doing a tour, sometimes cars cannot go down the road to get to the hotel (we had 2 separate issues with this).

This hotel is horrible, old carpets, shower is horrible, breakfast room without AC. Staff don’t speak English and everything is old and disgusting.

The property is falling apart. The shower is horrible, even is not a place for to put shampoo or soap, you have to leave on the floor. The breakfast room doesn’t have AC. Nobody can speak English at the reception. The AC from the bedroom is with problems, you don’t can control.

Juli and her staff were very attentive and helpful after initial disaster of a room. I booked a room online and was told i would get access to breakfast buffet on the Expedia site but that was not true. Juli upgraded me to a suite on 9th floor which was in a poor state but comped my breakfast during my stay because of hotel room condition. After initial mesa though everyyhing waa good. Room had an amazing view of city and hoan kiem lake. Very walkable and close to everything but in need of tlc. I look forward to returning to vietnam next year.

I understand this might be an economy hotel but the vibe and facilities lean more towards a love hotel. Overall experience was not great. Unless you are on a very tight budget might be ok but definitely not worth saving few bucks better to go to a real hotel. They don't offer any food at hotel and the rooms are old and moldy

This hotel is in a quiet location but is close to Hoan Kiem Lake as well as many options for restaurants. Staff were super friendly and the bed was really comfortable.

Lucky Juli is the best. She helped us book an amazing tour for Ninh Binh, and gave us wonderful recommendations for restaurants and sights to visit. She even taught me some useful phrases in Vietnamese. Everyone we interacted with here was very nice, accommodating, and helpful. My wife and I really enjoyed our stay here. It's very centrally located, right by Hoan Kiem Lake, and you can walk to a lot of great attractions. The breakfast provided was delicious. If you have any questions, Lucky Juli will answer them all for you. I highly recommend Hanoi Morning Hotel to anyone traveling to Hanoi. Thank you! Cảm ơn!

I got a room without a window, which was weird, but at the same time it was quiet at night, considering how busy and noisy the area is. Lots of shops, restaurants, and bars around. It’s right by the lake and inside the Old Quarter, next to the French Quarter. The staff are very nice, they go out of their way to make you comfortable. The hotel is quite old and run down, but it has everything you need.

Loved our stay at the Hanoi Morning Hotel! From awesome pre service organising rooms for 3 groups and transport from the airport to being super helpful and ever available. Julie and Phong made our stay! What a perfect location to enjoy the Old Quarter of Hanoi! The view from the upper balcony rooms was sensational!

Hotel was nice enough to open up their top floor for us to watch the lunar new year fire works.

I think the hotel is about 2star and I would not recommend it or stay there

Great location - on a quieter street but still right in the middle of everything. Breakfast was delicious with an amazing view. Juli was very helpful in booking our tour to halong bay and beyond. All other staff were friendly and helpful.

Juli and the team were excellent throughout our stay.

Checked in late and Ha, the intern receptionist, was most helpful. The roof breakfast area has good view of the lake and felt homely, but needs climb two floors to access it. Conveniently located and barely adequate.

A somewhat mediocre hotel - can't really recommend

The stay was spoiled by the really uncomfortable bed which meant we had a poor night's sleep. Also, the bedside light didn't have a plug nearby to power it which was odd. The breakfast was also poor - indeed we chose not to have in on our second morning. More positively, the staff at reception were all polite and nice.

Great hotel for the price in an absolutely perfect part of the city for visitors. Enjoy the Old Quarter, eat the local foods, and never be far away. The high floor balcony room is highly recommended, it's such a serene way to watch the city and the beautiful lake. Our pictures are from 801, where my wife and I stayed. English not great with staff but didn't stop us from anything we needed. Daily bottled water provided. It can get loud at times but never after 10pm or early in the morning when you'd want to sleep. I would absolutely book here again on our next trip to Ha Noi.

Good location and reasonable price

Close to Hoan Kiem lake, lots of small shops and walking distance to many CBD tourist sights. Early check-in is the bonus.

Hanoi Morning Hotel

Hanoi Morning Hotel was a very nice surprise! Very good location in the "Old Quarter" and good value for money for a hotel of its class. The staff was very friendly and helpful! It was a good choice!

The hotel is in an ideal location for visiting Ha Noi with places of interest not far away. The outstanding highlight of our short stay at Ha Noi Morning Hotel was the excellent services provided by the friendly and helpful staff.

Worst hotel in old quarter.

I travel to Hanoi a couple of times per year and I have stayed in dozens of hotels in old quarter. And usually on the same street as Hanoi morning. This is the worst hotel I’ve stayed in for about same price. Rooms old and mouldy. Staff sent two cars for pick up at airport. Told driver on departure international when I said domestic. Breakfast just eggs and fruit. Staff don’t speak much English. Under renovation so noisy all the time. Generally dirty and dusty. Avoid at all costs.

The location is neverything. The room is nice. But the cleaness of overall in the hotel is not expected.

Great Hotel!!! I highly recommend it. The staff is excellent, it's close to everything, and it's a nice hotel, not a hostel. It's a 30 second walk to Hoan Kiem lake. There are tons of places to eat, shop, and watch the street performers. The Hanoi Morning Hotel is right in the middle of everything. It was a great hotel in a great location. It's only about a 30 second walk to Hoan Kiem lake. It's close to everything. It's a little pricey for Vietnam, but not extremely so. It's a great hotel if you're not on a tight budget. In other words, it's not a hostel, it's a nice hotel. Also, the staff was great. I highly recommend the Hanoi Morning Hotel.........

Pit stop stay

We arrived from Nanning on the sleeper train, so we were very early (~8am). The staff were very helpful and offered a room that we could shower in, while waiting for our room to become available. We stayed one night here before flying to Da Nang but it was very comfortable and quiet. And everything is a short walk!

Morning breakfast hope can improve western.

I’ll recommend to my friends and next time I travel to Hanoi will stay this hotel again. Thanks

Nice staff but poor room condition

The staff is very helpful, but the room condition is bad, even considering the price.

Old style hotel with large rooms Great location Great staff

Great room, lacklustre breakfast options.

Great room and reception staff. English very limited with some staff. Lighting in room not working and staff had no light globes to replace as required. Breakfast below standard. No vegan options apart from fruit. VERY noisy area on weekends with bands playing and other events around the lake closure area. If these issues were remedied we would stay again.

Find somewhere else.

The staff was friendly. The Wi-Fi didn't work, the room was small, it wasn't what we booked. The elevator doesn't go all the way up. The room is really run down and half the part doesn't work.

Room was not as nice as shown in pictures. Couldn’t charge my phone as the plugs were limited and faulty. View from breakfast area is nice but limited selection available. Bed and pillow cover didn’t feel it’s newly changed.

Not good choice stays..old and unfriendly

It was smooth check in and room is old and bed is not comfort small and hard.. at b'fast choices was limited , food was cold..quality was small.. especially the kitchen staff was nauty bother our till we met front counter staff..terrify experience.unfriendy.

At first, There's no view from the room I had stayed but I thought It is with nice lake view at that price as I checked on the booking site. I am sure this looks like a sort of fake photo hotel. Pretty please watch out their fake displays online. This deal was never cost effective for us.

I had a very enjoyable stay here. Amazing people and great location! Really nice hotel and they made us feel so comfortable!

The staff was extremely helpful and professional, they booked Halong Bay tour and Mai Chau tour for us, it was a really nice trip and good price. Location is convenient and easy to walk around. Room was nice and clean. We will recommend to my friends !

The Location was superb. The front desk staff were very helpful and friendly, they were always willing to help and show us where to go, helped me to book the tour for Halong Bay, flight ticket. Room was big, good shower, nice view to the lake.

A QUICK 3 DAY STAY I NEEDED CLOSE PROXIMITY TO OLD HANOI.THIS HOTEL IS VERY WELL POSITIONED AND WITHIN AN EASY WALK TO THE LAKE, CAFES AND INTERESTING SIGHTS.

We booked 3 nights and stayed in the room 801 with the view to the lake, room was big and very clean, comfy bed, great shower and nice decor, breakfast was good and healthy. Staff was very helpful and attentive. Highly recommended !

We really enjoined our stay in Hanoi Morning Hotel. Staff was super friendly and helpful . Our rooms was large, clean and comfy. We did book the amazing trip to Halong Bay through the hotel, it was excellent and great offer. Their breakfast and location is good too.

Nice hotel, nice people, great value

We love our stay at Hanoi Morning hotel. Room was big and clean, breakfast was good and served on 10th floor with amazing view to Hoang Kiem Lake. Staff were really friendly and willing to go out of their way to help us, the receptionist gave me a city map and showed me everything, thanks to Ms Xoan the hotel's manager, she helped me to book the car from the airport, Halong Bay tour and train ticket to Hue, she even let me have free shower before getting the train. I will recommend to my friends !

Fabulous,

The location of the hotel was the best ! The hotel let me check in early when we arrived in the morning without extra charge, the hotel manager was so helpful, Xoan helped me plan my trip to Halong Bay and Sapa, it was fantastic, we had an amazing trip. All the staff are very very nice and always had a smile ! Room was comfy and well equipped.

Great location and great value! We stayed here 3 nights and loved it. I am very surprised at all of the negative reviews. It is a great price for a nice hotel in the center of the old quarter of Hanoi. If you want prestine luxury, go to the Four Seasons in Hawaii, Hanoi is not for you. This hotel is quaint, clean and charming. The staff is wonderful, they all speak English and are very accommodating. We got a room with a balcony, which allowed for great people watching in the mornings with coffee. The highlight is the Free Breakfast. The view on the 10th floor is one of the best in the area, and food is made to order and very delicious. I would definitely recommend, it’s a fantastic value for what you get.

Pleasant stay, accommodating, friendly staff

Best of hotels we stayed in Vietnam during our trip, best location just very few second to Hoan Kiem lake, few minute walk to night market and Water Puppet Theatre. Room was big with balcony and street view, comfy bed and great shower. Accommodating and friendly staff, they booked the tours for us to Ha Giang and Backan for 5 days 4nights with private car and tour guide, it's really one of our best trips in my life. Thanks to all the staffs !

A view to die for...

The Morning Hotel is ideally located with some rooms having a commanding view over the Hoan Kiem lake.The staff are helpful, fluent English speakers and the hotel is very well placed for all the major attractions in Hanoi. The breakfast is okay and the wifi connection good. I will ensure that I stay and get room 901 or any room ending in 1 for that view from the balcony!

Great hotel nearby the Hoan Kiem lake,

We stayed in the Junior Suite Lake View and it was a nice room with stunning view to Hoan Kiem lake, it was clean and comfortable bed, staff was very helpful and friendly, we booked Halong Bay tour through the hotel and the manager booked the A'class cruise for us, we really enjoined our trip. I will recommend this hotel to my friends !

Good value for money

Clean, spacious room. Got free drink and fruit after inconvenience upon check in. Staff very friendly and helpful, got small breakfast to take with us on very early check out at 4:30am. Very good location, right in the old quarter of Hanoi, close by everything.

Dishonest and misleading

We were mislead and inconvenienced. This hotel is far from 3 star and the amenities listed on Hotels.com were not there e.g. Niteclub, bar, restaurant. We booked a Junior Suite and were shown a room of very small dimensions, very poorly furnished with cheap chipboard furniture which was peeling as was the wallpaper. The balcony furniture was old and someone had used the ashtray. The building was old and dated even though the Hotels.com site said it was built in 2006. This was our 14th hotel in 8 weeks of travel through Asia, was the absolute worst we had ever seen, and was to be our last before heading back to Australia. We checked out before spending time in the room and found alternate accommodation in the same area which was much superior and less expensive. The reception told us they would not charge us after we pointed out the misleading information supplied which we relied on when making our booking but did not honour this when Hotels.com phoned them. They took the entire 3 day pre paid amount. These people are dishonest.

Wonderful stay

We had a good stay in this hotel. I received an email from the hotel's manager for the pick up service from the airport and I agreed with the price and the service, when we arrived at the airport our the driver was waiting for us and everything was easy. The staff were so helpful, I booked a day trip to Halong bay and Tam Coc, the tour was so good. The room was clean, the bathroom was nice, good shower. I really love the restaurant It's on the highest floor of the hotel and you can see Hoan Kiem lake, buildings... It's a nice place to stay !

Good service

Great location ! It's just few second to the Hoan Kiem Lake and close to the night market, coffee shops. It's not a big hotel but it's a nice place to stay, room was clean and have balcony, staff was very polite and helpful. There is a travel desk at the reception if you need something just ask them, it's useful !

It was a comfortable and pleasant stay in Hanoi Morning Hotel. Staff were friendly. I’m specially impressed by this young lady (sorry I should have asked for her name) working solo in the kitchen preparing breakfast for so many guests at one go. Thank you sweetie.

Good position

Perfect position for me: close to Lake and old quarter life: restaurants and bars everywhere. Room was spacious, but window (requested) was tiny making the room a bit repressive. Bed was comfortable, cleanliness was not perfect. Staff were polite - requested late check- out was denied, but luggage was stored. Breakfast was simple but adequate. Room was at the back of the building - tiny window, no view. Would I stay again ? Yes, but only if guaranteed room with outlook (requested, but not provided).

Exceptional service

Location is the best of this hotel just few steps to the Hoan Kiem lake and night market, staff was fantastic and polite! They helped us to book transportation from and to the airport and and the tours for a 2 day Halong Bay, day tour to Tam Coc.

Helpful staff and great location

The location is great, just a 2 min walk from the lake. The room was large and comfortable however we found it quite noisey as we were at the front of the hotel and the balcony doors didn’t seem to block out the noise. Other than that though it was fine for a short stay. The staff were very friendly though as booked our trip to HaLong Bay for us with Royal Palace Cruises....they even managed to get us an upgraded room!

Fantastic hotel

The hotel staff are fantastic and really helpful, they booked both trips Halong bay and Sapa tour for us, everything was so easy, we left our luggage at the hotel during our trip and had free shower even we did not stay before getting the train to Sapa. Location is so convenient and easy to walk around, room was ok and good price.
