Great location, comfortable room. Rooms are only accessible by stairs. Would recommend for a night or two in Hanoi.

Room as pictured (top floor), we were given an option of whether we wanted to be a lower or higher level. Friendly staff. No lift which I didn't expect and no problem for us. Clean and comfortable bed. Bathroom could be cleaner but this appears to be standard of the area, working hot water and air con.

Good hotel

Got a bed for the night and that’s about it. Get what you pay for I guess. Property cleanliness was terrible and exposed electrical in the bathrooom. Wouldn’t recommend.

The front desk service was excellent! AThe hotel architecture however is dated and best suited for short stays. But given the reasonable rates, it is satisfactory.

Great stay

Location is great, street is a bit loud (constant honking) but not really their fault. The staff were all very friendly and helpful. Shower is nice, waters and coffee every day, bed and pillows comfortable. No complaints!

Noisy

We booked this hotel because all the reviews were so good.However, definitely it not how its they advertised saying that,the staff are super nice. Our room was on main street and was really noisy.

I am not even sure how this hotel is on Expedia as 3 star. Horrible, dark room with dirty towels, bed sheets and no sense of guest experience. I wouldn't recommend this hostel to any travelers in Hanoi. Please do not go on pictures as they are edited and dont show the true condition of the rooms. Breakfast was not even worth giving a try as the breakfast table was tucked in underneath a staircase. Room was left opened after cleaner did his/her role and left my belonging up for grab for anyone, fortunately nothing was missing. Stay clear from this hotel, was a terrible experience i had.

Good location

The room was very small , 6 flights stairs up and had bars on the windows. Had there been a fire I’m sure we would have been toast. The location was good, it was clean and the staff were lovely. However couldn’t get the shower to work and when trying kept getting electric shocks. Had to go to another room to shower

Ok stay for the money

The room was much smaller than the photos make it appear and felt quite dark. The bathroom was disappointing, the shower door was broken and there was no hot water on the second night. The staff were courteous and helpful but our experience didn’t match up with the previous reviews we had read but overall it was fine for the money we paid.

The room is compact but really nice, well-maintained and has everything we might need. The staffs are friendly and supportive. To be honest the product & service is better than what I expected with the price I had to pay. I would highly recommend this place to individual travelers who seek for a simplified & cost-effective stay in the Old Quarter

I don’t know why others give such good reviews for this place. Staff are cool but the place is pretty shabby. There are better available for the same price

The room I booked in advance was not available when I arrived, so I was transferred to a different hotel with a smaller room for the same price.

Comfortable and Friendly

Centrally located, I found my stay at La Vision affordable and comfortable. The staff were friendly and helpful too. I would stay there again any time I visit Hanoi. The only frustration I had was with the slow Internet connection sometimes, but there are no shortage of free Wifi spots in the area so it wasn't a big deal.

Great location, exceptional service.

The hotel staff were particularly exceptional at this hotel. After we had checked out and gone to Ha along for a night, they offered to hold our bags whilst we were back in Hanoi for a few hours later in our trip. They even booked Ubers for us on this day. A great little hotel right in the old town with restaurants, beer corner, street food stalls and shopping right outside the door.

Great location and wonderful staff

Located in the heart of Old Quarter this is a great (but busy) location. We had a wonderful stay and found hotel staff to be more than helpful. Jack went above and beyond for us before, during and even after our stay. Excellent communication (in person and email). He even got us breakfast to go when our bus was picking us up before breakfast started and called the bus company for us when they didn't show up. We will be staying here again when we return to Hanoi.

Inexpensive, good location, clean, nor frills

Good, central location. The staff were very friendly and attentive. They were helpful and kind. The service they provided was excellent and they made our stay a good experience. The hotel itself has seen better days. The interior looks old and shabby compared to the photographs on the website. I would not rate it three stars as listed. There is no lift, but the staff carried our suitcases to our room. This was a inexpensive hotel, it was reasonably clean and no frills.

This property is perfectly located in the old quarter, walking distance to everything you need to see. It’s affordable for a comfortable clean hotel. The rooms would be tight with two people but it’s value is so great that if you’re traveling with friends then you can get separate rooms. Jack at the front desk was kind, helpful, friendly and all around amazing!

This is a great little hotel in the Old Quarter, full of colour and activity. I was able to walk to many of the sites I was interested in and the staff were so helpful and friendly that it really made my stay so much better. The room was very clean, the shower hot and nice white towels. I would definitely stay there again.

The hotel overall is good, but not excellent or exceptional, and the grade is given based on its convenient location and super nice staffs. The room is small but clean. The internet speed is weak and slow, and I have to go to the Highland coffee shop, a half mile away, to drink coffee in order to use its fast internet there everyday except on the trip. The breakfast is below the average and the picture of the breakfast, if you look at online at hotels.com while you book for the hotel, is misleading and the owner uses the picture of a different hotel to post it online for this hotel to make it more attractive. In fact, most breakfast items on the menu are ordered by staffs to the street vendors nearby and serve to the guest and the quality is not so good. Also, there is only one table with few chairs that are not enough if guests from two rooms come down together for the breakfast at the same time and you have to wait for quite a while or you have to leave and come back later!

Clean, friendly but very small

Very small but clean hotel. Breakfast very limited and only space for 6 guests in tiny breakfast area. Staff were warm and helpful. No reception area to meet friends. No lift. Overall - clean, friendly but a severe lack of space.

Perfect little spot in the perfect location

La Vision hotel in Hanoi was fantastic, it is located within 15 minutes walking distance to many tourist attractions and the customer service is amazing. Thui, the front desk receptionist could not have been more helpful, he was quick and very knowledgeable about Hanoi and places to buy specific items that we needed, and always greeted us with a smile. He even cooked us breakfast in the morning! Thui was also very helpful in booking tours to different areas of Vietnam, and always had great recommendations. The room was clean, yet simple, and had everything you could need. Thank god for the air conditioning. Also, La Vision is located near to many, many, delicious restaurants, you can’t go wrong.

Theft from safe at this hotel

Do not leave valubles in room or locked in safe ! We Booked hotel based on good reviews After making booking my wife had read a review of theft from room . Based on this , on our First night we took all our money , passports and valuables out with us. Second day , we Left some loose change in a bag which we locked in safe . We Returned later to find loose change , approx £6 had been taken from our bag which was locked inside the room safe !! Everyday we took ALL money , valuables and passports out with us and never trusted again leaving stuff in room even locked in safe ! The hotel offered to keep our bags whilst on a trips to Tam Coc and Ha Long Bay , we politely refused and took all our belongings with us. Trips were booked through hotel so we continued with our stay until our last night in Hanoi and booked into another hotel which cost the same and was far better ! I notified the young manager after we left and said he suspected the house keeper and would report to his boss , , Do Not Leave Valuables , even locked in safe ! There are Better hotels in Hanoi for the same cost ! The young manager was very helpful and friendly throughout our stay and assisted with our tours and plans.

*Everything* was A M A Z I N G I had initially booked for 3 nights and ended up staying for 9 nights! There is so much to be said about this wonderful hotel. Firstly, the service was impeccable! I immediately felt welcomed and safe. The staff speak fluent English, were absolutely accommodating and it felt like staying at a friend’s place. The room was very clean and thoroughly cleaned every day. The WiFi is steady. The bed was super comfy. AC was strong and despite the city view room, I hardly heard any noises. I booked my Ha Long Bay trip through the hotel. They worked with my budget and the entire tour was seamlessly run. An incredible experience! If you book an overnight tour through them they transfer your night(s) at the hotel which was a great deal. My booking came with free breakfast which I took advantage of and enjoyed. The hotel location is perfect! Right in the middle of Old Quarter and within walking distance to many attractions. I cannot recommend this hotel enough. Go ahead and make your booking :)

Wrong room but good customer service.

I had booked a double room with a city view but when I got the room it had a window facing a wall. The lady at the reception apologised and said they didn't have any rooms with a view available but she offered to deduct the price difference between the room I had booked and the one they gave me. I declined and she offered to find out if their 'sister' hotel had available rooms with views. They did and they called and paid for a taxi to take me 5 minutes away to the other hotel. A bit of a hassle but they handled all very satisfactorily.

Great location in old city. For small fee hotel took us to and from the airport. Lots of restaurants and shops in the area.. Easy walk to night market. Hotel staff were very friendly and helpful. Before arriving in Vietnam hotel staff assisted us in booking a couple of day trips.

Awesome Hotel in Hanoi

Great location. The service from the staff was excellent, they were all ways helpful and kind. Cheap price for a moderate stay. Overall much better than what we expected. Lovely hotel in the Old Quarter

Centrally located in Old Hanoi a minute's walk from many near cafes, small street-side eateries, some finer dining option. Hoàn Kiếm Lake is only five minutes away. They organised my airport transfer in a very nice large vehicle it was worth booking this at the hotel .thanks guys !

Amazing service

The staff were very helpful in our stay here in Hanoi. They helped us organise our 2 day trips to halong bay and 2 days trip to sapa. Breakfast is included. Room was comfortable and had everything we needed. Thanks for a great service.

Good value for money

Quiet room and helpful staff, and excellent breakfast in the morning. the manager Mr Thuy shows deep concern for the guests and takes the time to painstakingly map out the area, giving good recommendations and tips. Really enjoyed .

Lovely Boutique Hotel in Hanoi

The staff helped us in every manner and even offered us to keep our luggage and a shower for free before we took our night train to Hue. Totally recommendable. Breakfast is awesome! Staff are friendly. Many food store nearby which just out of the hotel.

Money missing from safe during stay

We booked for 4 nights even though we were planning an overnight stay at Halong Bay so only need 3 nights. For the cost of the room it seemed easier than checking out and back in. Upon returning from our overnight stay it was evident that our room had been occupied by someone else, whilst cheeky we initially laughed it off until we realised that someone had accessed the safe and $40 was missing. We weren't able to speak to the Manager other than via email and were told unless we filed a police report they weren't prepared to do anything about it. They suggested we speak to the cleaner about it ourselves even though it wouldn't have been the cleaner who removed all of our personal effects and replaced them the next day. Overall we had been enjoying our stay (despite the noise from the street) but knowing that your possessions aren't safe when you leave your room means I would advise people not to stay at this hotel.

Overall, it was a great stay. Pros: Extemely friendly, helpful and accommodating staffs Clean facilities Cons: Could use some touch up on the paint Rewire some of the plugs. No plugs around the desk and coffee table. Had to move the kettle to the bedside table instead since the cable wasn't long enough for the only wall plug that was somewhere at the foot of the bed. Balcony is filled with cigarette butts. Did not open the curtain cause it was quite unappealing. I would still recommend the place though as the price is midrange and clean enough to feel confortable after a long day.

Definitely coming back!

I found this establishment online right before staying in Hanoi. My friend and I needed a quiet room where we could decompress from hectic Ho Chi Minth. Not only was the room clean, refreshing and comfortable but the homemade breakfast in the morning made it a perfect stay. Jack at the front desk went out of his way to help my friend and I book several bus tickets and tours to near by cities. He even arranged a ondeedul honestau for us which turned out to be the best part of our trip to Vietnam! Although booking through a hotel is more expensive for tours, buses etc. you truly are paying for the convenience (which at times is much needed) Can’t thank Jack here enough for his hospitality and kindness as well as all of the employees here making us feel welcomed! Thank you for a great stay and will definitely stay here again upon my return to VT! Great establishment!

This hotel is perfect in every way. The location is just where you want to be in the old quarter - close to great restaurants and shops. The room was perfect - clean, quite, and well equipped. The staff could not have been more helpful and friendly - always ready to answer your questions and help in any way. They set me up with a great 2 day trip to Hal Long Bay. And finally the breakfast was tasty, prepared to my order, and quickly served. I would certainly stay here again.

GOOD BUT NOT FOR EVERONE

Be aware if u r elderly and find difficulty climbing stairs then this may not be the right place for u as there are lifts and the stairs are steep. the staff are ver friendly and try and accommodate u even though u r an hour late for morning breakfast. a small frindly hotel with only 6 rooms

Comfortable and good value for money

This is a great place to base yourself whilst in Hanoi. In the Old Quarter, but still quiet yet very accessible. Staff are excellent, very helpful and good level of English at front desk.

Excellent hotel to stay in the Old Quarters. The staff is friendly and helpful. The breakfast is adequate enough for a westerner and the location is great. I do recommend it as a great place.

We had a great experience staying at this hotel. Our first visit to Hanoi, hotel was recommended by friend. Very impressed with the friendly staff. Rooms were clean and fully equipped . hotel well located in the old quarters, shopping belt and night market . Tours could be booked at hotel desk. will stay again if go to Hanoi and will recommend to other.

Overall, very comfortable stay. Located at the Northern end of the old quarter this hotel is in a good location for the main sights of Hanoi. They arranged all my tours and send someone to drop me in the airport. Free breakfast every day. professional good manner staff what else could i ask...Definitely i will come back stay again.

Thuy manager welcomed us and we felt home from the first moment. He very friendly all the time, giving us directions for where to go, etc. Fast service for tours and airport shuttle. The hotel staff always made me felt welcomed. I would definitely stay here again and recommend to others and friends.
