Wonderful staff but very small rooms

Friendly staff, amazing breakfast, and convenient location. The rooms however are truly TINY and we had trouble fitting two hand-carry sized suitcases in a room for two people. Barely anyroom to move. This is more for budget travelers traveling light.

I loved this property. It was everything I thought it would be. And it was super convenient tonwalk everywhere through Old Quarter. The staff were helpful to give advice on places to go and tours. They give you a things to know guide when you arrive so you keep safe and enjoy your trip. Breakfast is a-la-carte and limited seating so you may have to wait, but it was good food, good service and roof top views. I would definitely stay here again!!

Bathroom is not clean and black mold.

The property needs improvement especially the public restroom on the first floor because it also represent the image of the business. However, the staffs are wonderful and courteous. Breakfast was the best. Thank you!

Right in the middle of Hanoi night market, very convenient and easy to walk around. Food is easy to find. Good location. Hotel room is very small - suitable for single person. No place to put luggage. Hotel can improve cleanliness as I saw a cockroach ran under my bed. Hot shower, nice smelling and soft towels. Breakfast was fantastic and came with room stay - delicious and it is ala carte buffet. Staff friendly and helpful.

Everything was perfect. Due to heavy rain, we have been refused by all the taxis and grabs to go the station to take the train which we did not have that much time left. Therefore the staffs helped us a lot and as a consequence offered us a private car under terrible weather.

Great location / had a nice quiet sleep for such a busy area and the included breakfast was a well worth it.

This is one of the best hotels in Hanoi, the staff are so incredible. They helped with everything I needed, i ended up booking another two nights because I didn't want to leave. My friend left his hotel to come stay here with me. When I come back to Hanoi this is the hotel for me. Thanks so much!!!

Good hotel

Excellent location for a good price

The location of this hotel was excellent if you are wanting to explore the Old Quarters. Even though it was right in the middle of the hustle and hustle, it was so quiet inside. The beds were comfortable and we had everything we needed. Space wasn't an issue as we were exploring outside and only came back to sleep. The breakfast was lovely and up on the 6th floor, it was a great way to start the day. Mr Jackie and the staff were super friendly and organised a driver for us to start our next part of our Vietnam journey. I would stay here again

Look no further. Look no further. Look no further. I spent weeks looking for the perfect hotel to stay in Hanoi and La Selva Central was the perfect choice and it certainly did not disappoint. The rooms are EXACTLY what you see in the pictures online. You get that actual Vietnamese feeling when you enter. They are plenty charging ports in the room which is a MUST. The rooms provided everything that you would need for a short to a medium stay. Again, I say look no further. From a 24hr Convenience store across the street to the grand shopping street just a block away...the hotel is ideal. I must personally mention Jackie and Syuen. From the time I confirmed my reservation Jackie waa on the ball. From providing my airport pick-up and drop-off to arranging a tour. Those simple touches were added bonuses to my stay. Syuen in the rooftop restaurant was amazing. From day 1 to day 4 she knew what I liked and didn't liked. Her attention to details was spot on and she even showed me how to use chopsticks. La Selva Central hotel is the perfect hotel for your stay in Hanoi.

Staff are friendly and helpful

Mr Jackie Lee and his team went above and beyond with the help and information they gave us, could not have done anything more!! We had read the reviews and we are two of many people that have been lucky to have been so fortunate to have this kindness given at the start of our travels in Vietnam. The hotel clean and comfortable with a good choice of breakfast options. A prefect stay and we would highly recommend it!!

Unfortunately during my stay of 3 days i was sick. The staff were most accommodating in allowing a late check out and arranged my taxi to airport. The breakfast service was excellent. I only wish there had of been a kettle in the room to make a hot drink.

The staffs at La Selva was wonderful & helpful. We stayed for 8 days & had a wonderful time. There are complimentary breakfast available every morning. The hotel is literally in the center of everything so you could walk everywhere.

A breath of serenity

Hotel staffs are always welcoming and helpful: allowing earlier check at 6am. It meant the world to me after such a long bus ride that was too crammed. Breakfast is ok. You can order eggs and a bowl of pho from the kitchen. I would come here again because of the location and the staff here.

I really enjoyed my stay here. The location was fantastic, the staff was very friendly and helpful, and the rooms were great! Bonus price for the yummy breakfast as well! I would highly recommend this place to stay in Hanoi.

Great hotel

All the staff were very friendly and its in a awesome location. Jackie was super helpful and got us a better deal on our tour than outside the hotel. Definitely recommend this hotel!

The hotel location is very good but the hotel itself is outdated, standard room are extremely small not qualified as a standardized size, elevator barely fit 2 average sz adults even though tge location is good qe not kot come back nor would recommended it to anyone

We loved staying at La Selva Central Hotel. Conveniently located near the lake, and in the Old Quarter, close to everything including restaurants, shopping, the puppet theatre, the French Quarter. The rooms are clean and comfortable, and it includes a very good breakfast. The staff are wonderful! Nothing is too much trouble. They are friendly, polite, and extremely helpful. The manager, Mr Jackie, is always available via WhatsApp. He organised wonderful tours for us and even checked in with us while we were away to make sure everything was ok. We would definitely stay here again.

Hotel probably could use a little freshen up… but it is outstanding with friendliness, efficiency and services … all wonderful , side trips, breakfast , money exchange , a/c , coffee pot …. But absolutely the best … concierge ‘Jackie Le’ I’m retired world traveler last 25 years … never meet anyone better at their job… way above the call of duty

This hotel is in a wonderful location near the lake, puppet theatre and other attractions. The staff are so lovely. Manager Jackie and his team will do everything they can to help you have a wonderful stay in Hanoi. The rooms are clean and comfortable, but it is the staff that makes this property stand out. This property has a very good location to old quarter. It is right in the heart of the touristy area for shopping in the market, being close to old quarter and french quarter. Staff were very helpful, English was spoken, staff would go a step beyond to help us.

La Selva central is conveniently located in the heart of the old quarter. However taxi or grab can be easily hauled from location. Breakfast on site had very options (Vietnamese and western) and we overall enjoyed everything we tried. Lastly, staff was very courteous and helpful. Definitely recommend.

Staff is wonderful!!

The staff here are fantastic nothing is too much and they were so friendly and informative from the minute we walked in. The rooms as tidy and comfortable the decor is a tad rough around the edges but the room was clean and tidy. The amenities in the hotel are all you need. The location is fantastic close walk to everything and right by the lake for easy direction. Breakfast was made fresh on request and the staff very friendly. This is a fantastic value for money hotel and would return

Lovely small hotel in great location

This hotel is perfectly placed for exploring the old quarter. Although the rooms are compact, they are clean and comfortable and have everything you need. They provide free water and snacks each day and the hotel staff were all fantastic - they were really helpful and recommended good tours of the city. Nothing was too much trouble.

Better than a 5 star hotel - Perfection!

The service was excellent. The staff were helpful and knew us by name. They added personal touches to and made it feel like a 5 star hotel. Attention to detail was outstanding. They provided us a full guide of their favourite places to see and eat as well as a guide to Hoi An where we were headed next. They were helpful and thoughtful of all our needs. The hotel was beautiful and absolutely spotless. This hotel is better than any 5 star hotel I’ve stayed in and the location is perfect.

Exceptionnel hôtel !!! Très propre, très original ! Le petit déjeuner est exceptionnel ... nous on a du partir a 3h du matin pour prendre l’avion, ils nous avaient préparé des sandwiches pour partir... ils n’ont qu’un objectif, nous rendre service, nous aider à visiter, et faire qu’on se sente bien dans leur hôtel , et c’est réussi !! Très bien situé dans le vieux quartier.... le bonheur...

The staff at Hanoi La Selva were brilliant, in particular Lily on the front desk was super helpful. They really made our stay amazing, be it greeting you by name, the bell hop was always on hand to open and close the door and the breakfast staff were very attentive but at the same time not overpowering. The location for this hotel is great, right in the middle of the old quarter. Due to its location the rooms were expectadly on the smaller side but that didnt bother us as we spent most of our time out exploring! We will definitely stay here next time we visit Hanoi!!!

Friendly staff

Very friendly and helpful staff. Gave us a nice coffee gift when we left. Hotel is in a prime location close to the lake and within walking distance to bars and restaurants. The rooms were clean and had a great selection TV and movies to watch when you want some down time. Only drawback I would say is that the rooms are on the small side. The hotel is quite narrow. The bed was comfortable. Wasn't enough room for a nightstand beside the bed on a elevated platform. Kinda had to walk over the bed to get up. Add two backpacks into the room and it was a bit cramped. All in all it was more than comfortable for our two night stay. A older person may have trouble getting up as the bed is a mattress on a platform so you’re only a mattress thickness off the floor

The best thing about this hotel is its central location. It is literally steps away from the night market which takes place on Friday, Saturday and Sunday evenings. It is also just opposite a Circle K (convenience store) and a walking distance from the main attractions in Hanoi.

Cosy hotel with friendly staff

Hotel staff was very friendly, rooms were small but cosy and clean with all necessary items. The location is also great. The only minor negative thing, was that when you leave the key the minibar and AC also looses power so they won't keep the room or your drinks cold. Everything else was great I can highly recommend this hotel.

Hotel was in a great location with friendly and helpful staff! Billie at the front desk made sure we knew everything about Vietnam; he set us up with a travel map and recommendations. In addition, the staff gave us a gift at check out. Would stay again and highly recommend!
