It’s a hidden gem of a Hotel!! The staff are excellent, accommodating, pleasant, and informative!! The rooms are spacious and clean!!

I found it a quiet oasis in the hustle and bustle of old town Hanoi

Stuff for excellent and arranged some great tours for us

I stayed here three weeks and highly recommend. I was so lucky to pick this place. Hotel is very prompt at responding to communications - I had lots of questions. Perfect location, just a few minutes walk from the craziness of the "tourist" area, yet in a quiet area so you can get away from the madness. Important - this hotel is a few hundred meters from the "wet market" which is a cultural experience. Must see, especially if you eat meat! Go at dawn and take a camera! Best nearby coffee - I like "S-Coffee" on Hang Cheu St. The staff are wonderful - genuinely friendly and helpful. English is very good. Room was clean, and housekeeping was just perfect. Laundry was cheap and fast. The hotel helped me arrange an overnight trip to Ha Long area. They can arrange trips all over Vietnam. It was easy to set up, and good. Before you arrive at HAN, be sure to book an airport pick-up using the hotel to arrange it. The hotel adds the cost to your room bill, about $18. The driver will show up with a card with your name on it, and you just collapse into the back seat and let them take you to the hotel. A person from the hotel will come out to meet you at the street. Could not be easier, especially after the long flights (it took me 24 hours). You don't need to find VND to pay the driver, or worry about getting ripped off. It just works!

The property was in a great location, very close to the river and night markets. The beds in the room were very comfy and the staff were very friendly, Lily was especially lovely, friendly and super helpful. The walls between rooms were very thin so depending what neighbours you got will depend how quiet your room will be. The room we had also had a glass door so the hallway light came through at night, our room was the only door like this on our floor, so i'm not sure why it didn't have a wooden door like the rest, I just used an eye mask though and it was fine.

The young staff members were always attentive, and spoke very good English They provided above and beyond customer service, and very informative. The family room was spacious, and quiet, despite facing the railway track. There were plenty of charging points in the room. As in most places we stayed at, we would have liked more hangers to hang up our damp towels but apart from that, it was all good.

Staff are amazing could not have been any more helpful in where to go and what to do, took interest and care of us.

Everything was great, just a pity it is hidden in a alley where no car can go in. So you got to drag the luggage alone the dark alley especially during the night when all shops is closed. Overall, staffs is very helpful. Special applause to the lady supervisor. Sorry I forgot to get her name. She was exceptional friendly and go her way out to help us contact the tour operator to pick us up at the hotel to the meeting point, if wasn't for her, we are quite lost on this. Thank you very much. You make our stay overlook the location with your genuine self.

The staff were super kind and helpful during the entire stay.

La Cascada is a great value for money hotel. The hotel is clean and service is excellent. The staff went out of their way to help us schedule tours, airport pickups and drop-offs. They even gave us some small gifts as tokens of appreciation. The only downside was that the location was a bit hard to find at first. Also, on our last day of stay, the bathroom had a strange sewer like smell. Aside from that, service was excellent and I greatly appreciate how helpful the staff was.

A hidden gem, in a back alley at the North side of the Old Quarter, comfortable, clean room with a spacious balcony, very Nice, polite, helpful staff, would definitely recommend this Hotel.

The service was spectacular they were very helpful with arranging our transportation and our tours the location is right down in a thick of the Xuan market

Hotel is good, clean but overall what makes the difference is the amazing staff, always trying to help. I’ll definitely stay here again.

Loved the place and location

Walkable to everything, not able to access by car so required a walk from the taxi drop off. Staff get helpful.

Everyone was so nice and helpful! The room was comfortable and everything was within walking distance. It’s really the perfect place to stay in Ha Noi

Great for a weeks stay

The staff is what makes this place as great as it is! They are all super kind, friendly, and helpful. The room was decent but the view was great. It’s in a convenient location too. Hotel pick up and drop off were a plus. Laundry service was nice as well!

Stayed here for 7 days. First of all, call or email the staff to reserve an airport taxi at reasonable prices. The taxi driver will drop you off at the intersection. From there, go under the train bridge, turn right, and walk for 2 minutes until you see a big brown sign with yellow lettering. It’s about a 15-minute walk to the old quarter/beer street. The staff and housekeeping provide excellent, top-notch service. Highly recommended!

We stayed at La Cascada on 3 occasions during our long stay in Hanoi, leaving intermittently for some short trips. The entire staff was incredibly helpful and friendly, making our early morning or late night check-ins a breeze. They also assisted with airport transfers, communicating with tour operators, and much more. The hotel itself was clean, with large rooms, comfortable beds, and cold AC which was critical to sleeping comfortably in the summer heat. My only recommendation would be to have a locked room for luggage storage. They currently store luggage monitored by the 24/7 front desk staff.

Located in a little alley near the train tracks, but still easy to get Grab you just need to walk a little ways (if taking a car). Overall we really enjoyed our stay and have no complaints. The staff was absolutely amazing!

Great hidden gem

Upon arriving at the tiny alleyway, I thought that this is going to be another one of those run down hotel. To my shock, not only was I welcomed in by some of the friendliest people, the interior of the hotel is clean and tightly and a drastic contrast to the scene outside. After checking me in, I was provided with a detailed map of the surrounding areas and offered a wealth of local knowledge that made my day of wandering that much smoother. Friendly staff who spoke great English, clean and tightly room. One of the best places I had stayed especially for the price. Would definitely recommend for those that are visiting Hanoi and looking for a hidden gem of a hotel to stay in.

This is the place to stay

A gem of a hotel on the edge of the Old Quarter. The hotel is comfortable and the service is terrific. The staff are all so friendly and assisted with recommendations on where to eat, what to see as well as booking trips and transport. La Cascada was so good we returned 3 times and stayed in the hotel as a base to explore the wider area. Stay here!

Friendly and great stay in Hanoi

We had a great short stay at La Cascada. The staff are all so friendly and helpful, they showed us to our room, gave lots of good recommendations and help us with our laundry. In a perfect location, we will defiantly recommend staying here and will return if we are back in Hanoi! Thankyou

Lovely hotel. Good location and staff were amazing

The staff are friendly, helpful and speak English very well. The room is pretty nice. A little musty smelling but it's so humid there. No bugs, mold. Nice to have a balcony woth greenery but we didnt hang out there as quite damp. Train goes by but is not too loud. The rooster starts crowing around 5am.

Hotel at the top of the Old Quarter.

The staff at this hotel are absolutely fantastic. They were so nice and helpful and made sure we had everything we needed. I found the location odd, our room overlooked the railway line, but it was double-glazed and we heard nothing. The room was spacious and had good aircon, and the bathroom was updated. But, it was a little bit tired and lacked some home comforts. For example, the mini fridge never chilled anything.

This place is a gem, the staff all went above and beyond to make sure I had everything I needed during the stay. They were especially great about giving a crash course on the old quarter and must stop places. The value of booking here was amazing, I highly recommend it!

The staff was very friendly and professional. The facilities were clean and convenient. I was able to enjoy a peaceful sleep as there was no noise from cars or motorcycles. I highly recommend staying here!

Amazing property and most importantly amazing staffs there. They made sure everything was in order for me to have a comfortable stay. The place is located close to all prime areas and you can walk to them. We enjoyed our stay here and will definitely come back. No complaints here. Thank you La Cascada!

Lovely & very accomodating staff. We had a nice room with great wifi, great air conditioning, and a cute little apartment with nice plants. It is a very convenient location, walking distance from all of the good sights in Hanoi. Would definitely recommend this place.

Terrible location must reflect star rating

After reading other reviews about this hotel, I was quite let-down when I realized that the location is 10 meters from a train track, on a dark and barely lit road. Our taxi driver couldn't find it so we wandered around in darkness trying to find it, and the locals didn't know where it was either. Because of its location, the streets were filthy and turned my shoes black. Additionally, not all of our towels were clean when we arrived and the housekeepers didn't even touch the bathroom or towels until we asked them to. I know the people who run this hostel have a great heart but it is only fair that a star rating is not solely based on customer service.

Rosie Vu is the property manager. She is extremely helpful and has truly made my stay a 5 star experience. She even arranged private tours with college students!! I came to stay 2 days but will stay 3 weeks. I canceled many reservations just to stay here the service is that good. 😊👍

A little gem in Hanoi’s Old Quarter!

Two aspects of my stay with La Cascada stand out. The first being the customer service. Rosie, the manager and the girls, all speak English very well and have a good attitude. They try their best to serve and please the customer. For that alone, I give the hotel a five star ***** rating. The second aspect, is the way breakfast was served. Each breakfast is cooked to order. Not only a more hygienic system but minimises waste. It is also good for the environment. The breakfast room, which is on the the top floor, has great panoramic views of the city. I very much enjoyed my stay in this hotel.

Outstanding Service

Once you get there past some ancient alley road near the train tracks, the service is 5 star. The staff is so welcoming and accommodating that it beats some 5 star hotels in the US I've been to in terms of customer service. For the price of accommodation this place cannot be beat. While the location isn't perfect it does have the local Hanoi charm and is within walking distance to everything you could want to be near the Old Quarter. You won't regret a stay here.

The hotel is beautiful and very clean. Beds were comfortable and the breakfast was very good. The views from the breakfast area were very nice in the morning.

We were thrilled with the lovely arrival reception with welcome drink, fruit and the friendly helpful staff who made sure we knew the best places to go for meals and sightseeing. After a long flight it was lovely to take the lift to our immaculate family room -3 beds and balcony. The shower was piping hot with strong pressure and was very clean. It was fun seeing the people going past to catch the train from the balcony-which turned out to be a good landmark for us in the Old Quarter of Hanoi, as this is in a very narrow street (you need to look out for signs when you first arrive). The breakfast was delicious & served upstairs with a view. It was really good to be so close to the night markets and within walking distance to food, bars and sightseeing spots. I can’t commend Rosie, Phio and the other staff highly enough for all their helpfulness. They arranged our amazing tour to Halong Bay and then all of our travel details for Sapa as well as airport transfers when we left Hanoi for Danang. It was really good knowing we could safely leave our extra luggage at La Cascada in between our stays there and even use a room for showering and changing before we took the night train. Thankyou so much for everything you did to make our visit to Vietnam so memorable. I definitely recommend this Hotel.

Past reviews of this hotel made me decide to book for my family's 3 nights stay in Hanoi here. Although a tad sceptical, I was hopeful. Rosie, the manager was quick to answer all my queries even before I arrive Hanoi. Because the hotel is located in a small lane which is not easily accessible by cars and busses, she dropped me a message to advise me of a drop off point which is only less than 1 minute walk. Every single one of the hotel staff are very helpful and friendly, always making sure we are comfortable. They made us feel very welcome. The family suite we stayed in is very spacious and clean. This small hotel with excellent service is definitely a place to stay in Hanoi old town.

They had the best breakfast at any hotel I've been to in Vietnam. Not only that but the staff and service is wonderful! They sent me a very informative message on WhatsApp before my arrival.

This hotel deserves more attention

It was my first time to Hanoi and Frankly i didn't expected much about hotel However, the hotel was just so great Kind staffs, nice location, decent breakfast and Clean rooms If i have any chance back to hanoi, I'd definitely choose this one again!!!!

The hotel is under construction, so be ready for loud banging that starts super early. Great location on the old quarter. The room and toilet were very clean with two towels per day. Bed and pillow was hard, but I like it, especially after a long walking around. Breakfast on rooftop was nice. Staffs are very welcoming, helpful and uber friendly. Definitely, will recommend and would stay at La Cascada Hotel and travel again.

Happy in Hanoi

Amazingly helpful and friendly made my stay lovely. Late breakfast sent to my room, excellent directions to sites. Also a staff member meets your cab to bring you to the hotel door. Market surrounds hotel. What a welcoming place!

I only booked 4 days here and ended up staying for 2 weeks! Rosie and her staff are the nicest and most accommodating people you could hope to meet while travelling..nothing was too much trouble. The rooms are spotless with very comfortable beds and great facilities. A real jem of a hotel that i will definitely be visiting again. Highly recommend.

Great room and services. The location is near ancient city of Ha Noi, Dong Xuan Market so it is easy to walk around and find some interesting things.

5 star class hotel even though it has 3 now

Excellent and best hotel among all accommodation of my 2 weeks in Vietnam trip. All staffs can speak English which is very unusual on three star hotel. Nice View, clean restaurant and nice breakfast.

優しく安心なおもてなし。

猥雑な街の中にポツンと灯りがともるようなホテルでも、スタッフは全員親切で口コミ通りの優しい体温。滞在時間21時間でとにかく手間を省くための事は全てやってもらえた。深夜にハノイに着いても大丈夫、ここがあればしっかりホテルに運んでくれる。そして、事前に連絡を返してくれる。本当に優しい体温だった。また次回もリピ確定だなぁと思った。でも日本人価格であったことは否めない。仕方ない事だが。これからもよろしくおねがいします。ホテルに清潔を過度に求めないことを前提で、一人旅ならばちょうどいい。

スタッフがとても親切でした。特にチェクインと最後グラブ呼ぶの手伝ってくれたスタッフさん、ありがとうございました。部屋も清潔感があり良かったです。

Great stay

We really liked our stay, the staff was so lovely, welcoming and helpful. They helped us book an amazing day trip to Ninh Binh, they gave us a lot of great recommendations on things to do in Hanoi. The location of the hotel is also good, a lotnof stores and places to est nearby.

皆とても親切なスタッフ

スタッフ皆親切です。 部屋も綺麗で水廻り設備も問題ありません！ 線路沿いのホテルなので騒音は覚悟していたが、22:00-06:00の間2-3時間間隔で貨物列車が通過する度に目が覚める(逆に日中の方が少ない) それよりもエアコンの室外機の音が煩い。 騒音が気にならない方はロケーションが良いし、スタッフの対応も素晴らしいのでオススメです。

下に電車が走っていて、とても素敵な場所でした。また、ガーデンテラスもゆったりできて、よかったです。また利用したいです。
