Service with a smile
A last minute change of plan due to COVID closure of booked hotel saw us check in here. It was late but the greeting was still friendly and welcoming. Cosy, basic but well enough appointed hotel in Ha Noi's Old Quarter. Due to low customer numbers, hotel restaurant was not operating. Easy walking distance to lots around ... shops, restaurants, cafes
Horrible service staff without regards for guests
We stayed three nights in this hotel and the first two nights we asked for and were given a twin room since my traveling mate has a terrible snoring condition. The third night we came back after a long 8 hours bus ride to a room with only one bed. After we explained to them there must be a mistake since we have always asked for a twin room, they insisted we didn’t make the request for the third night and thus they were out of twin rooms for the night. Despite explaining the snoring condition and the fact that we have stayed at the same hotel for the past two nights, the hotel receptionist couldn’t be bothered and insisted that was the only solution despite it was 11pm and clearly they have two other empty rooms. Faced with this insistence disregard for our welfare, we had no choice but to forfeit our paid hotel room and book another twin room at another hotel down the road. The hotel might be new and shiny but the service staff have low service standards and clearly do not care for their guests.
The room was outdated, dark, dirty and broken including a whole in the ceiling The WiFi did not work in the room
Good place to stay
Great place nice and clean The staff is really helpful and polite The room was good... unless you are booking a balcony room...you may not have much of a view and will probably keep your curtains close... but it will be like that for most hotels in Hanoi unless it may be a very high end type and price hotel... I would go back personally
A good place to stay, lovely staff
The hotel was clean, comfortable and well situated and the staff was very efficient kind, courteous and helpful. I had a nice room and it was surprisingly quiet for a street side room.
Highly recommended
Great hotel in Old quarter. Value priced. Staff very helpful.
hotel was overbooked and they move us for a night in another (ugly) hotel ....
Excellent Hotel
It is a very good hotel. Rooms were compact and cozy. It is ideally located in Old Quarter and night markets were 10 minutes away. The hotel staff were very friendly. Will definitely recommend this hotel!
Excelent
Excellent hotel, staff are very helpful, right in the middle of the old quarter, walk to just about everything in Hanoi
Every cloud has a silver lining.
I must say that our visit did not begin well as there were various problems with our room. I am not, by nature, a complainer, but on this occasion I did confront the manager the first morning. He was concerned and immediately transferred us to a superior room. Additionally, he helped us to plan a visit to Halong Bay which fulfilled all our requirements, and also to organise our onward transport. When we returned from Halong Bay we had been transferred to a deluxe room which was delightful. In essence all the staff were friendly, polite and helpful.
Friendly and Helpful
The hotel is located in the midst of the old quarter which allows access to most places of interest if you are prepared to walk a little. For a budget hotel it is very good value for money, the room was clean and everything worked, nice hot water which is a blessing during the New Year period as the weather can be quite cold. The breakfast is very good, again for the price, it is a buffet but they will also cook an omelete, scrambled egg or something else fresh if you wish. The staff are very helpful, the waitress and especially Lee, the young man in reception , who's command of English was good and he gave us a lot of advice which was not a hard sell to book through the hotel. We would definitely recommend this hotel for a good budget stay in Hanoi. Peter and Carol Barker (Malaysia).
Great service in the middle of the Old Quarter
I stayed at the top floor (Executive Balcony) which was a very spacious room with an amazing balcony over looking the Old Quarter. Service was very good and the location is also very good -- right in the Old Quarter but in a relatively quiet side street. But note that the Old Quarter is always jammed with traffic (which is interesting for the visitor) and lots of one-way streets so sometimes taxis cannot find the hotel quite easily. Best is to buy a data 3G sim-card when you're in VN (3GB for under $20) and then you can track yourself (and in taxi) via Google map!
Good value, in the heart of the old town
Exceptional staff went out of their way to help and arrange on travel. Value for money facilities.
Great Location and amazing staff
This is a really lovely hotel in the centre of Hanoi's old quarter. Easy to walk to most of the museums and other attractions. The staff are incredible they make you feel so special and important. They arranged tours, taxis, carried bags, opened doors and served breakfast very professionally. The room was really clean, a good size, very comfy bed and quiet too. Breakfast each morning and free wi-fi were fabulous also. All I can say is this was an exceptional experience. I would 100 recommend it as a memorable place to stay in Hanoi.
Excellent location and wonderful staff
The hotel is in an excellent location, in a quiet street yet close to the heart of the old town. The staff are extremely helpful and gave excellent advice throughout our stay.
The hotel bed were the worst felt like I was on the floor, no window this did tell us when we booked I know we did pay much but would have probably considered a different hotel. No hot water in shower... Will not recommend this hotel.
Friendly
Very small rooms but the staff are really helpful and friendly.
Could have been better
Room is comfortable and location is good. Quiet alley in old quarter. Ants gather quickly if you don't clear your leftover coffee or tea in the room. Spotted some ants at the table in the breakfast room too. Breakfast is not impressive or delicious, just something to keep you full, that's all. The hotel is alright overall but there're many similar (in fact, newer, nicer AND better value) accommodation options in the old quarter.
Good location, clean & comfort room & nice staff.
It was a nice & pleasant stay at Hanoi Graceful Hotel.
The location of the hotel was wonderful .
The hotel staff was wonderful and very helpful . The room was clean . I would stay at this hotel again .
Beautiful, city hotel in the old town quarter
I stayed for six nights over New Year. I needed some R and R from my strenuous job in a school in the countryside in Thailand and I got exactly what I wanted and more. My room was so beautifully furnished. Everything worked so well together. A lot of thought and expense had gone in to it. It was cute and pretty and bijou in a boutique way. I was able to relax and recouperate and gather my strength for the following term's work. I missed my hotel room, for it was simply the perfect place for me to relax and enjoy.

Hanoi Graceful wasn't in the most exciting part of the Old Quarter, but the whole area isn't that large, so it wasn't a problem. I stayed for two weeks and worked out of the hotel--it was quiet and comfortable for that time. The best reason to stay though was the staff. Everyone at the hotel was friendly and helpful.
Easily accessible to market.
Convenient location to Dong Xuan Market. Pleasant Hotel manager welcoming guest and also ensuring a take away breakfast for those who need to check out early in the morning.
Will be back again
Would go back again if I ever come to Hanoi. Receptionist very helpful in directing and giving ideas on where to go.
Our stay in Hanoi
The traffic in Hanoi has to be seen to be believed, the hotel staff were so kind and could not do enough for us. Some of the rooms have no windows which was a bit unusual for us,but we were given a room with a window when we asked to change. The hotel has no bar so you have to go out and search for a cafe/bar.The choice and range of food on offer did not cater for our taste. However we did not starve, we cannot praise the staff enough they made the trip for us.
Interesting location in Historic Center
This is a return visit, the first time for three week and this visit for almost two weeks. I returned because the first visit was so pleasant Excellent breakfast and staff. All the rooms are very nicely decorated and comfortable BUT not all the rooms have outside windows. Buildings in the Historic area are generally long and narrow with not a lot of light except at each end. Walk outside and it is crowded, traffic crazed, noisy and very colorful. That is the charm of the area and the hotel. Lots of good places to eat. Very safe of crime, but often hard to walk because of all the street activity. The Graceful is as good as it gets for the price. It is a very good value. But be forewarned, if booking through Expedia and you lessen the days of your stay, the Graceful would not credit the money as it was paid to Expedia. I could have cancelled and re-booked with corrected date BUT I then would have lost my original early booking and I might have lost the room. .
A good home base for Hanoi's Old Quarter
Staff very helpful and spoke English reasonably well. Gave recommendations for food and sightseeing. Helped arrange for transport to airport (which was cheaper than the regular taxis) and trains to Sapa (with no extra charge that I can tell), and taxi to the train station at the rate for "locals". Not once did I feel I was being cheated by the hotel as a tourist. Hotel tried to sell other day tour packages but was not pushy and respected our decision to DIY. Half day rates available when we checked out at 7.30pm for a train, and checked in at 5am upon arriving on early train. Breakfast was decent and adequate but not exceptionally yummy.
"Simple, but Excellent"
My friends and I stayed at Hanoi Graceful Hotel for 3 nights in October 2013, and everything was perfect. My friends stayed in a double room and I stayed in a single room, but I had a queen size bed, maybe I was just lucky. The mattress: not too soft or too hard it was just perfect. The same was the pillow. It seems unbelievable, but I slept better there than in my own bed. Also, what made me very comfortable was that I could easily adjust the room temperature. The same for the shower, it was very easy to adjust the temperature, and plenty of water. They had all I needed, tooth brush, tooth paste, shampoo, soap, hair dryer…. They had also slippers to walk in the room, but it was not necessary, because the floor was impeccably clean. That was nice, because I like walking barefoot. WiFi internet was free, fast, and working without any problems in the rooms (I stayed on the 7th floor). Electric kettle was nice to make coffee or tea any time I wanted to. Everything was working perfectly (I did not try the TV, because I do not watch it). The breakfast had a variety of dishes Eastern and Western style, I am sure anyone will find their taste there. All the staffs at front desk were very friendly. They were always ready to help me; giving me maps and information on restaurants, attractions, and places I wanted to go. They also offer pick up/drop off, and tour services. I went to Ha Long Bay with a tour booked by Mr.Lee, and everything was perfect.
Good hotel in the old quarter
This hotel is in the old quarter and walking distance to the water puppets and lake if you have a good sense of direction and can read a map, if not you can get a cab or cyclo. Staff are more than helpful with ideas on things to do, cold water in the A/C foyer after a hot day spent sightseeing and meal ideas either inhouse or nearby restarants. Try Gecko just a block away for cold beers and good food - Western or Asian. Nearby hardware Street was interesting. Our room had a balcony which was great to eat on and look at the view accross the city. Felt comfortable staying here.
Hanoi , Ha Noi
We stayed here more than four days and had a wonderfull time. It was like being at home with family who looked after you. When I told the manager that I had trouble with a shop he immediately helpt to solve the problem. Its hard to get to the bottom of things if you cant speak or understand the language. Nothing was to difficult or a problem and they are friendly and helpfull. Also recommended some great restaurants hier in the old city which gave a culinary experience we would not have had otherwise.
The Hanoi gracefulness experience .
It was my first trip to Hanoi , and I pick Hanoi graceful hotel for my 4 days stay. The staff was very warm, friendly , gracefulness, and very family base hotel. The staff will are very automatic. I would recommend more people to stay in Hanoi graceful hotel.
Vietnam!!
The hotel was great! The staff were very friendly and they will try to answer to your requests.
A great place to stay in hanoi old quarter
A very spacious room and large balcony with a cool city view. The staff are super friendly and helpful. I booked some really good tours through the hotel including halon bay and sapa. I got very good prices and excellent tour experiences. Have a good chat with the staff and they'll help you with anything you need for your stay!
A Little Gem
The Hanoi Graceful is located in one of the more quiet streets in the old quarter. It is a fairly small hotel but the service and amenities are excellent. From the moment you walk into the reception area it is obvious that attention to detail and quality are two important aspects of this hotel. Although our room is fairly small it is equipped with everything we need. Cupboard space is a little limited but we still managed ok. The room decor is pleasant and the bathroom is especially nice. Everything was spotlessly clean and the room is serviced every day. The hotel provides free Wi-Fi internet access and a buffet breakfast that includes things like fried rice, noodles, bacon, egg, sausage, fruit juice, toast, jam, coffee fruit and more. The TV is a large flat screen model and a number of English language channels are available such as movies, CNN, sports, children’s channels, Animal Planet, Nat Geo and a few others. Other facilities in the room are coffee and tea making facilities and bottled water is supplied every day. If you need to plug in electronic devices then an adaptor is available from reception but remember Vietnam runs on 220v so anyone with 110v appliances has to have their own transformer as well. Being located in the old quarter is great as there are all sorts of things to see and do within walking distance. We really can't find any faults with the hotel and Mr. Lee and his staff are extraordinarily helpful.
Great staff
Located in the old section of Hanoi. Walking distance to all the attractions. English speaking staff (Ha was on the front desk and was fantastic) who are willing to help with anything. Very enjoyable. Good value for money
highly recomended!
Graceful hotel surpised us. The front desk clerk and the staffs were very nice and helpful, the room decor was pretty and most importantly its very clean. Bfast was good for what it is. Overall it made our first time visit to hanoi unforgetable.
Old Hanoi
Very nice hotel. Central to the old quarter in Hanoi. Very reasonable cost and staff all very friendly and helpful. I will book again for my next trip.
Hanoi Amazing Hotel
The room was clean and the staff were friendly and helpful. The location is handy for tourists acess to the 'old town'. Unfortunately the bed was very, very hard. There was overnight construction carried on next door, which woke us up on several occasions.
Good introduction to Vietnam
Location = 7 minute walk from the lake, around the corner from bat Dan street which has dome of the best eats in town in my opinion, y easy to find. Service = friendly y happy; always wanting to help or chat Rooms = I had a huge bed but breakfast starts at 6 y the walls are thin so it got loud early in the morning so I couldn't ever sleep in. That y I never did get any hot water in my room so chilly showers were the start to the day. Not a bad hotel but I saw much nicer ones fir the sane price nearby so I won't be staying here again.
お風呂にはバスタブがあり、冷蔵庫、セーフティーボックスもありました。日本人の私にとって、シャワーとセーフティーボックスの使い方が、日本語で書かれていたのは、ありがたかったです。

Trevligt, prisvärt hotell mitt i gamla kvarteren. Personalen väldigt hjälpsamma och trevliga, nära till shopping och restauranger. Vi återkommer till detta hotell år efter år
Virkelig dejligt hotel
Cosy tidy and convenient hotel
The location was pretty good , pretty near to the night market and club and spa area . For hotel , 3 star as you know , price was pretty good and cheap . The counter staff was very friendly and helpful . Room and shower was little bit small but the cleaning was fine . Overall, it is a good place to stay for whom do not care too luxury facilities and breakfast.if you have limited budget ,and just want a small rest place , I would be recommended. Btw, there is airport shuttle car can be request ,and not really expensive ($16 one way ) ,so that was a good experience to stay here . The breakfast was not on time . And the refrigerator in room can’t use .
Best lication
good ability to help foreigners
The receptionist lady on duty on 28 Feb 2019, was kind and indeed gave me helps dealing with the transportation issue regarding the travel agent mistakes in correspondence about Halong Bay journey.
