The staff are just exceptional!
This place has the best staff. So very welcoming, interested in your plans and how they can help you in any way. Best of all they have the biggest smiles! They also recommend the best place for bun cha, we went as often as we could! Room was cleaned daily and breakfast was nice! Could not recommend this place enough!
I have stayed at this hostel, in the top floor room with balcony, for 13 nights. Overall it was a great experience! All staff were very friendly and helpful. The hostel itself was new, clean, tidy and situated at the heart of Hanoi ‘s old quarters which means it’s within walking distance to many of the city tourist attractions. There was no lift at the hostel and being on the fifth floor gave me a perfect chance to increase my fitness. The hostel also provided fast wifi and good breakfast! I would definitely recommend Hanoi Golden Hostel to anyone who is looking for a place to stay in Hanoi.
Generally satisfying experience!
Our first night in Vietnam! Staff was very friendly and accommodating. Rooms are rather small, which is to be expected for the price and location. The drain in the shower of our first room (we came back later in the same week) was completely clogged though, so even a few hours later we still had to brush our teeth with water up to our ankles (in Vietnam, shower=bathroom :D). Breakfast was ok. Don't expect very fast wifi ;). Great location in the old part of the city!
Very nice and cute hotel, great staff and location
The staff members have been very helpful to us; they love their job and they show it through their excellent service and their smile. They went above and beyond to accommodate us. For example, a few hours before we arrived, Amy (at the front desk) managed to find an extra room for my parents who decided to join us in Hanoi at the last minute. The day after, my mother had some stomach aches after she ate at a shady restaurant... Then one of the hotel employees went ahead and bought done meds for her. Clumsy as I am, I also managed to accidentally break the fan in my room, but they were very understanding about it. Amy helped us book a great tour in Halong Bay. She speaks good English and she is sincerely one of the mood devoted person we've seen in any hotel. This hotel is located right in Hanoi's old quarter, so it is very convenient. The rooms are cute, some of them are a bit small, but they're very clean. The included breakfast choices are simple, but they do the job when you need a quick bite. I think this hotel is perfect for people who want to visit Hanoi in a few days. A few improvements could be done by adding an electric kettle on the rooms and maybe an extra mirror.
God beliggenhed, dyr morgenmad
Hostellet havde en god beliggenhed. Alt var som det skulle. Personalet var søde, hjælpsomme og let forståelige. Dog var morgenmad på stedet dyrt.

very good staying
The best experience in Hanoi, the staff was super gentle and welcoming. Beds are very comfortable and breakfast is good. I really recommend it! they can help you with transfers, trips etc.
Hotel is next to the night market
This hostel is near to the night market, it is very convenient to shopping and dining. Also the staff is very nice, they can provide many help to us, for example maps. If have chance I will go back again Hanoi.

hundreds of spiders
i had the worse experience in this hotel. A HUGE spider inside the room broke the egg, and HUNDREDS of baby spiders were spread all over the room including bed, clothes, floor and walls. Like a nightmare! I asked to change the room, but the receptionist refused, instead he gave me a spray for killing them....really. I asked to talk with his boss, but they also refused. I insisted to talk with the boss, and the receptionist very angry tried kick me out of the hotel, at 2am... worst experience in Vietnam.
