Great customer service

Lucas and Kim checked us in. Kim arranged a trip to Ha Long Bay for us as soon as we arrived. The staff is extremely helpful. The buffet breakfast was fresh and plentiful.

Beautiful hotel clean rooms and great included breakfast wish I could have stayed longer great reception who arranged my airport pickup and waited an hour for my delayed flight to land!

Zoey, the Manager, was so so nice which made a world of difference when checking in. Convenient location and great French restaurant, Colette Wine Bar, across the street.

The staff were great, professional, and friendly. The room was spacious and clean. Breakfast was a mixed of Asian and western food. This hotel is in the Old Quarter and there are so many restaurants close by. We walked to the lake, train street, and restaurants. One of the staff named Zoey helped us booked tours too. We highly recommend this hotel. We enjoyed our stay.

Comfortable, clean and perfect location

The staff was wonderful- friendly and helpful. My room was spacious and had a wonderful chaise lounge that I enjoyed using instead of the bed in the morning/evening. The location was perfect- just minutes from Hoan Kiem Lake and easily walkable to other attractions. The only negative was that there was no window to outside, so the room was extremely dark when no lights were on. Overall, though, it was a wonderful stay and I wish I had more time in Hanoi.

the junior twin room is spacious and comfy and quiet at the back of the hotel. the family room has a balcony and comfy king bed but bathroom much much smaller than junior twin room, feel cramped. plus quite noisy by the elevator luckily has a sound proofed door which helps a little. rooms need new wallpapers and paint. drains in shower drain extremely slow. hot water supply is sufficient. enough choices for breakfast. walking distance to the famous lake and surrounding attractions. all staffs work very hard and efficient, very helpful, pleasant and caring. Zoe and Kim offered better price for our extended stay and airport transfer. Zoe assisted us to reserve dinning table. thank you for your hospitality and we enjoyed so much of our stay. would like to come back.

The staff went above and beyond to help you. The hotel was walking distance to all the major attractions. The breakfast was great as well as the in house tour operator which I booked all my tours with.

Lovely hotel and amazing staff.

The hotel staff were very friendly and made us feel warm and welcome. They are very happy to provide travel shopping and food advice. The breakfast is rich in variety and great value for money.

Room need a refresher. Looks dated. Wifi connection in room 401 was bad. Breakfast was not worth the time and calories.

Great service, spacious room, near attractions

Impeccable service by all staff, special thanks to front desk Bonie and Zoey for making this a memorable stay. Good breakfast spread with Real fruit juice (not packaged) and again their wait staff was efficient in all services. Room was spacious and beds were comfy, many international channels on TV, bathroom was clean and provided clean towels. Every attraction / night market / eateries were within walking distance. We spent 4 nights here. Highly recommended to stay!

Overall good stay

Very friendly and helpful staff, especially Ms Zoey who gave us many good suggestions. One thing that really need improvement, room soundproofing. Overall good stay 😊 Location is very strategic, away from the busy street.

The staff here at this hotel are so welcoming and friendly! It was my husband’s birthday when we checked in and they surprised him with a special birthday cake. The room was spacious and comfortable. The hotel location was very convenient to the night market and other local delicious restaurants. Breakfast was included and consisted of fresh fruit, cereal, omelette station, local Vietnamese dishes, pastries, pho, and fresh juice, coffee, and tea. We highly recommend this hotel!

Hanoi emerald waters hotel is an lovely boutique hotel. Room is clean with a good air conditioner. Bed in room is comfortable. I had good night sleep. Good breakfast buffet and made to order Pho noodle soup is delicious. Staffs in hotel is very helpful and courteous. I would recommend this hotel if you want to stay in Hanoi.

You could travel the rest of your life and not find more friendly, and helpful staff - all who are ready to go the extra mile for you. The location is in the heart of all the activity of the Old Hanoi Quarter. An easy walk to cafes, restaurants and shopping. Comfortable beds, a very pleasant breakfast experience. On my next trip, I won't even consider staying anywhere else.

Awesome Hotel!

The room was so comfortable, great A/C, minimal noise, that we had a great nights sleep. The location ia great and the hotel staff was very friendly. The breakfast is not spectacular but it good enough for a long stay.

Very accessible to nearby attractions. the hotel is clean, however the shower head can be improved.

Great little hotel , Can't say enough about the staff at this hotel . They made are say enjoyable . We will stay there again the next time we are in Hanoi Breakfast was good , rooms were a little out and outdated but very clean and comfortable. I recommend the rooms with a balcony. They add a lot more room and nice place to sit and take in the city below .

Friendliest place helpful in every way

We’re staying twice at this hotel it was such a welcoming place. The staff are sincere in their desire to help and welcoming their guests. Reception manager Jasmine is a doll. Anything for a smile from her.

Okay but disappointing.

Our stay was okay however the water in our bathroom had a weird smell. Room 601. It was very difficult to use it to clean your face or even gargle with it. We were force to buy mineral water just to able to do our normal stuff.

4 days in Hanoi

The staff was gracious and very accommodating. We enjoyed the variety of the daily morning breakfast. Our dinner at the Hotel Restaurant (Salmon Run) was excellent. Lastly our rooms were very nice, comfortable and clean. Thank you

The staff was very helpful in helping us navigate the city streets. The beds were decorated with beautiful flowers and "towel art". On the down side, the street noise is noticed in the rooms. Ear plugs are provided.

Best hotel in Hanoi for non fussy travelers

Fantastic stay with great location

The stay was pleasant and the staff were absolutely gorgeous - very friendly and helpful. The only downside was the fact that renovations were happening next door which the noise filtered through. Nothing they could do about it.

The staff is very friendly, welcoming and extremely helpful. They helped arrange transportation, purchase SIM card, recommend places to eat. Overall, we love the service provided by the staff. Will definitely stay here again and will recommend to friends and colleagues.

Delightful hotel in the heart of the old quarter

A very comfortable, clean hotel with excellent, helpful service right bang in the old quarter with lots of places to eat and drink within walking distance. Just two minutes from the lake and the Water Puppet Theatre, it is ideally situated for exploring Hanoi. Staff helpfully booked me a table in a local restaurant and a taxi to take me there and were very responsive to my needs. Highly recommended.

Great stay, had a room with no real window, which eliminated the incessant street noise, but the downside is that if you are unlucky and get a noisy guest windowing into the same airwell, that can be noisy. Staff were wonderful, and you are in the midst of the old quarter.

The rooms exceeded my expectations. It was very spacious and clean. Beds and bedsheets were comfy. Service was excellent, staff were always smiling and accommodating. And the breakfast spread! It was amazing with a myraid choices of fruits and juices, western and local food. For the price and value, its without a doubt one of the best hotels we ever stayed.

Great location on the border of French and Old Quarters. The staff are exceptional. Rooms large for Hanoi and very comfortable bed. Highly recommended.

The location is great, as is the service. Our room was extremely small, with no windows, and very hot. We asked them to check on the AC, and they told us it was working properly. It was hot throughout our stay.

Clean and quiet escape from Busy Old Quarter

This is an exiting location right in the heart of loud Old quarter but our room was serene and quiet. I arrived at the hotel sick and my teenage daughters were able to keep themselves busy getting a massage and having dinner and breakfast in the hotel restaurant without and I felt totally at ease with that.

Service was excellent, location was just as good. Room may not be the biggest but it was clean and had everything we need. Again can’t speak high enough about the staffs at this hotel. So helpful & so thoughtful, also free breakfast was a highlight too. We had an early morning flight, they even packed breakfast for us to take away.

The staff here is amazing. They treat each guest so well, and make sure to help when you need it. They ask for feedback and you can tell they strive to improve if something isn’t right. The amenities are ok - a coffee maker in each room would be nice - but considering the plastic waste that is affecting Asia, it would be so nice if, instead of new water bottles each day, they had a water filling station. It’s so hot in summer that we needed more than just those two bottles! The bed was super comfy and rooms were cleaned nicely each day. Breakfast was better than expected. This is a very sweet hotel and it’s location is perfect. So easy to get around by foot, but if you prefer they will help you get a taxi or tuk tuk. The rooms do need an update but if you’re just looking for a nice, comfortable, quiet place to stay, this is the place.

Staff and rooms exceeded my expectations. Sometimes it can be hit or miss with hotels in Hanoi. But the rooms were high quality and the staff was extremely helpful with excellent English.

Great first taste of Hanoi

My wife and I spent 4 nights at Emerald Hotel and Spa room 901. It was our first trip to Vietnam. The hotel is in a good spot for sight seeing with many restaurants near by. The hotel staff were very friendly especially the staff at the reception counter. We would not hesitate to stay there again. Date of stay June 15 to 19 2019

I was bited by bugs on the bed After telling them about the bugs, they immediately changed the bed cover and so on. Hope this was a single incidence.

The breakfast bar was amazing. The room and bed was comfortable and relaxing.

Location: Excellent location, right near the friday night walking street around the lake. Close to food, transit and attractions. Breakfast: Fantastic buffet breakfast including a hot menu with eggs to order, waffles to order, and vietnamese soups--all included and all you can eat. Having a good breakfast was #1 in my hotel search and Emerald Waters nailed it. Could not have done it better. Staff: Very helpful in finding my way around the city and huge help to arrange a taxi that accepted CC at a cheap rate when my Grab app wasn't working properly. Also in general just very nice and always helping. Room: very well attended and fancy towel designs with flowers each day haha. Not something I care for but the fact that they did it was just going the extra mile. My room was well insulated from city noise. AC worked perfectly, no issues. I was upgraded to a family room at no charge--not necessary but contrary to other reviews I read where guests were downgraded at various Hanoi hotels.

I would like to watch Korean TV. But I can not . Because the Korean TV chanel did not work.

We loved this hotel. The whole experience was great. The staff get top billing. They were amazing from the moment we walked in, throughout our stay, right thru to helping us call our final cab, with all of them carrying our bags out, checking on every detail to make sure we were going to be ok. We could walk everywhere from this location, feeling safe in the neighborhood and we were able to navigate the crazy traffic from this location pretty darn well. The room was spotless, the breakfast was amazing and elevators fast. They even left towels and roses on the bed spelling LOVE. We were pretty pleased with the special touches.

We had a great time at the Hotel, the staff are excellent. From the moment we booked the hotel they brilliant. Everything they organised for us was spot on.

Highly recommended. Location is very active and interesting. Easy walking distance to night market, but very quiet for sleeping. Staff was very courteous and helpful. No language problem, at all.

Great location and price!

The hotel was in a great location, close to the Old Quarter. The staff was incredibly helpful and helped us book an incredible tour to Halong Bay during our short stay. The room was clean and comfortable.

Emerald Waters Hotel and Spa is in an excellent location where you can walk to all the best restaurants, museums and shops. The staff provides 10 star service and the breakfast is wonderful. The spa service was the best I have ever experienced. We also used the booking service through the hotel to go to Halong Bay. Our boat was Stellar of the Seas and it was truly a 10 star experience--I wish I had done the 2 night, 3 day instead only 1 night. Fresh flowers are provided daily and such a wonderful touch. My only warning to tourists is to avoid the pedi-cab. We were far over charged and it is not worth the ride. Enjoy Emerald Waters--a once in a lifetime experience!

Excellent front office staff who were most helpful to suggest activities and itinerary, making all the arrangements with the guides. Lunch was fantastic with well recommended local dishes that were just YUMS! Prices are very reasonable.

It's the small things that matter - the staff greets you with a fresh glass of mango juice, our beds had our towels folded in shapes of swans, the lobby smells nice all day and night and they provide services for everything (spa. massage, shuttle buses, excursions, etc.) I really like this hotel!
