Awesome hotel in Hanoi
Such a wonderful stay in Hanoi. Our host was so kind and helpful. We felt right at home. This was a great hotel. Highly recommend.
Very convenient. Close to bus stations, however, street not big enough to allow car/taxi for pickup. Plenty of dining options and not too crowd. Hotel also has SIM cards for sale and many tours to select from. Will book again next time visiting Ha Noi.
Perfect location and the host was amazing.
No Response From Hotel...
Couldn't find the adress listed. As I am disabled, I couldn't risk the hotel not being at the address provided. So, I booked another hotel. With the help of a local, I found where the Elpis is located. Through Hotels.com, I reached out to the Elpis telling them I would check in for my 2nd paid night, but they never replied. t is December 4th, and I still haven't heard back.
I love it so many times I’ve been thinking about you doing it
Very friendly! Lots of food options 24/7.
Very nice hotel
I have stated there for 6 days. The hotel is located in the Old Quarter, with plenty of shops and restauranrs around. Will stay there again.
GREAT LOCATIOM
The location of this no frill hotel is ideal. As soon as you step out oft he hotel, there are food vendors and bars and coffee shops everywhere. I didn't read the details before I booked and didn't know the toilets were shared outide common area and no elevators. Good thing I only had my backpack and no other luggage. It was better than I expected since there were only two rooms per floor. I only used the bathroom for shower, etc twice per day. Most of the time you are out and about doing things around the city or excursions, therefore, it was not a big deal. The price was fabulous for 4 nights stay. The host was very nice and arranged for a hotel transfer to airpofor me on time. I had a great time in Hanoi and would choose this place again convenient location traveling solo or as a couple. I would choose a different place if you are traveling with family.
Fantastic hotel just what was needed after a long traveling day, comfy beds and central to everything.
This place would be great if it was just me myself. I stayed with my wife 1 yr old and my mother in law. The room was in the middle of the busy part of the city walking distance to everything. The van was not able to drop me off in front of the hotel because it was a small alley street. So I had to drag bags about half a block to the hotel and there is no elevator. The price was amazing and I would recommend this place for smaller groups and couples with light luggage.
I told the hotel manager in passing it was my wifes birthday. When we came back to our room in the evening thete was a beautful birthday cake in our room. Wow!! Very nice comfortable rooms. Excellent place.
Fantastic stay
Best night's sleep I've had whilst travelling, staff so friendly, very good price and location too. Room was clean and a good size with a balcony.
Four nights of great sleep
This is a gem when you are looking for a comfy bed, quiet area to have a good sleep at night. The reception area is not as glamorous as the other hotels around but, Hoa the owner, welcomed me with her friendly demeanour, assisted me with my luggage up on the second floor. If you can manage without lift then this is an excellent place to stay. It's located on a one way alley and quieter part of Old Quarter. Food stalls 10 steps away from this place are so yummy and walk a bit further and you're in the action. The lake is easy walk as well, very well located. The balcony is enjoyable to have some tea and play board games or just watch the alley below you with all this fascinating life actions all day and night. The one and only lady that cleans this hotel, is doing an excellent job - spotless in every corner of the room. Fresh white towels(old and new both smells great and absorbent) and comfy white cotton bedsheets. Very good size room, stayed in 2 Queen beds. Hot shower, aircon both reliable. Did not use the TV as wifi for Netflix on an ipad is good enough. Thank you Hoa for having a lovely comfortable place, we had a great time. Highly recommended.
Great hostess who made you feel welcome and gave great local advice. Excellent location. No lift in property so you need to be happy to climb the stairs but no problem.
This was me and my family’s first time to Vietnam, and Ms. Hoa made us feel so welcomed and comfortable. The hotel was clean and comfortable, but it was the service that made the stay extra special! Ms. Hoa helped us get all set up for our stay in Hanoi and surrounding areas, including selling us a Vietnamese SIM card through the hotel, booking our cruise at Halong Bay and a day trip to Tam Coc (Ninh Binh), and booking all our taxis (and escorting us to the correct driver). My family and I strongly recommend staying at Hanoi Elpis, especially if this is your first time in Hanoi!
Excellent service and excellent location
nice clean. enjoyed the stay.
Modern Hotel in Old Quarter
Great hotel in the heart of the Old Quarter. Staff was very helpful. Jasmine explained everything when I checked in and was very kind. Room was spacious, comfortable, modern and clean. I will stay here again when in Hanoi.
Great local hotel in old town
The hotel was charming and very clean and the service was relaxed and very considerate. It was a fun location with easy access to all of old town. If you like quality that is local and quirky rather than just another big chain hotel t thoroughly recommend it
Good choice
Very friendly and knowledgeable. Keen to help. Rooms good and clean. Staff first class.
The good: The location was great in the heart of the old quarter. The female staff was friendly. Breakfast was good. The bad: We had to cut our stay short and check out early as there was one male front desk staff with glasses that was not too pleasant. We were a couple families with small children each and we got the negative vibe that our kids were not very welcome. He made several comments about our children's behavior and additional gestures that any Westerner would find quite rude. It's just not how anyone treats guests if they want good customer service scores and I don't think he is in the right field of work personally. He never seemed even mildly happy. Perhaps he should find work elsewhere? He also wanted to "confine" our children into a pre-determined breakfast time slot - something we didn't want to agree to since we don't know when our kids will all be up and timed together. This seemed like a way to avoid being around other guests. We just never have had any such issues in any other of the dozens of hotels/Airbnbs we have stayed at. Additionally there is no elevator and the hotel is small and 5 floors so this may be difficult for elderly or disabled to make the journey if room is on upper floor. Room 202 also has a strange layout where you have to exit the main bedroom outside where the AC units vent to go to the bathroom which makes this area and the bathroom get quite hot and uncomfortable.
Staff are friendly and accommodating. Good location within the old quarter. Only negative comment is that they do not have a hairdryer.
The Elpis is down a side alley/street. There is no elevator but the staff were kind enough to upgrade our triple room to a family room so we got a lower floor. Small buffet breakfast with a few options for ordering fresh. The staff do enter your room despite the do not disturb sign we had put up. I think it’s to turn off any a/c or plug ins. This bothered us and no explanation was given. As power isn’t expensive in Vietnam this seems like overkill. Otherwise a cute and convenient location
Thanks for the pleasant stay
Excellent stay, very friendly, very helpful. Would come again in a heartbeat.
Great location and excellent service
Great location
Simon and all the staff were very helpful! Breakfast was awesome!
Great staff!
It took me so long to find this place as I got the name mixed up with another hotel (my fault) so I missed out on a tour pick up so that was a bummer. Staff was super friendly though, they called my tour guide and tried to have them pick me up again. I also left a bag on the airport bus and they were able to track it down for me and go get it and bring it to the hotel for me. I was a solo traveler so the hotel staff always wanted to know where I was heading for safety and was concerned if they didn't see me at breakfast which was nice in a different country. Only downside was my room was changed and was supposed to be an upgrade but I'm not sure that it was. I originally bought a room with a window and bathroom in the room but got put in a room with no window and my bathroom outside. Would have been fine if my original room didn't cost more than the one they stuck me with. By the time I realized it I was already leaving. It was also right above the kitchen so it got a bit noisy early in the morning and I'm a light sleeper. Would recommend due to the staff but make sure your room matches the one you paid for! Oh, and it's in the heart if everything!
Loved my stay at the Hanoi Elpis. The hotel is located in a prime location and is a lovely property. The staff was friendly and helpful, and made you feel welcome from the minute you enter. The room and lobby were clean, and the staff was super helpful with carrying bags upstairs. Definitely recommend this accommodation!
Stayed on the 5th floor. No elevator but walk up was ok. Had a great little private balcony. Friendly staff and arranged a reasonable air port transfer. In the heart of the old quarter but pretty quiet on a side street with no cars.
Nice stay in the heart of Old Quarter
Great staff, awesome location.
Estància ràpida de una noche. Bien todo
it was nice for me :) thank u
Tres satisfaisant
Recommended!
Amazing staff. So friendly in all regards! Great breakfast and excellent cleanliness.
Good location
Location was great in the old quarter, the manager was very helpful for any questions and services, bed was comfortable, spacious room and good bathroom.
