Great place to stay. Very helpful hotel staff.
Clean and quite
As this property is 70 meters to “Beer Street”, expect the party music to penetrate the walls until 2 a.m.
Property was clean but poor-quality towels, bedsheets, etc.
the property has 6 floors but no elevator or lift. That makes ít didficult for senior or people who has knee problem to go up or down if they on the top floors. The propert also is located in a small alley wide enough for one motorcylcle to pass. But the service was good. They did their best to make you feel comfortable
Nice place, super friendly staff, great location! Good deal!
Last minute booking. Great location, beds not the comfy, very noisy- as in you could hear every noise next door in the hallway. Ok for a last minute place to stay for the night but would return.
Hotel is not cleaned
This hotel is very old. Not very clean. We’re not even sure the sheets were washed. Even at a discount, it’s not worth the money. We stayed here for 2 nights. We moved to ANOTHER hotel just around the corner for next 2 nights for exactly the same price. The next hotel is so much better, clean & they even provided good breakfast.
Booked at this hotel and our room wasn't available (burst pipe???). They took us to a comparable hotel, at no extra charge. Super helpful staff.
Property does not have an elevator. I was on the highest floor. Overall stay was great as it was near everything. Had a blast in Hanoi. I plan to return again soon.
The hotel is really in a good convenient location. The staff is very knowledgeable and friendly, they have been very helpful during my stay. The housekeeper is really great in maintaining the room, replenishing the water, tea, and coffee. I would definitely recommend the hotel and return for another visit.
No elevator, leaky shower
Amazing stay
Great experience, would come again. Only downside, no elevator. Super close the beer street
Micheal and the staff went above and beyond to make sure our travel plans went as well as possible despite the effects of typhoon yagi. I can express enough how friendly and helpfull everyone was. The hotel is located in the heart of old town. It is close to the infamous beer street but it is far enough from the action and the room was quiet and clean.
For the price we paid we cannot complain much. As this is the best location to stay in old town. Pros: 1. Location as most of famou things near by like beer street, Train Street, Church, Lake and lot many food option and shops. 2. Staff 3. Help to arrange transport early morning 4:30am. Cons: 1. Fridge is really very dirtyand seems not working well 2. Some repair required specially gate lock and bathroo taps leakge and not very smooth. 3. No lift you need to take your luuage to your room and if u have heavy luggauge its not so good. 4. TV not working so for family with kids can face problem.
Is quietness
The staff was extremely helpful. They even had sim cards, installed it for me. They set up airport transfer, clean nice toyota suv, and installed my sim card, and simply added it to the bill. Unfortunately we wanted to stay another night but they were fully booked. Room was nice and clean, no street noise. Convenient to our walking tours, beer street. Great stay in hanoi
Amazing and friendly staff. I had a great time here. The slightly annoying thing is that the hotel has 6 floors, and there is no elevator. I was assigned to the 5th-floor room, and it took some effort to walk up the room. But the price makes up for this.
good place in Old Quarter but Old Quarter is chaotic and noisy I would have preferred the neighborhood near the Cathedral
Good place for a night
Great location and friendly staff
Nice hotel rightvin the centre of Hanoi close to Beer Street and within walking distance of lots of attractions. Hotel was clean and the staff very helpful and friendly. Only downside was the room was a bit damp and musty
Staff were friendly and helpful. Room was clean but a bit damp because it was very rainy during our stay. No elevator. Good hotel.
Micheal and the rest of the staff are wonderful. Gave me a nice list of things to see and do in the city, plus some great spots to eat. Location is great with lots to do in walking distance, would stay here again next time I come back to the city.
The Hotel is in the perfect location if you are looking to be right in the action of Old Quarter. The only down side to the hotel was it has no elevator, so you may have to walk up many stairs depending on what room your floor is on. Overall it was a good place to stay. The staff was very friendly and helpful.
Amazing hotel and Staff
Super 5 stars for Michael, very professional and very helpful person. He made my stay very easy giving me all the tips about visiting Hanoi and sorraundings ndings. The hotel is amazing and in an excellent location. I strongly raccomend this hotel.
The customer service here is outstanding and the value for your money simply cannot be beat. They arranged both our airport transfers, got us a discounted rate on an overnight cruise, stored our luggage while we were gone and arranged for us to stay another night when we got back. The location is right in the center of all the action, but on a narrow and (somewhat) quieter side street. The price was incredibly reasonable and the property is well maintained and in good shape. Only complaint is that the drains were a little slow in the sink and shower of room 305. Otherwise, 10/10 all the way.
Greta central hotel with friendly staff- highly recommend
Jake was exceptionally helpful to arrange for our pick up at the airport and organizing our trip to Halong Bay.
Quiet nice hotel. Good location.
Located on a small street next to "beer Street". No food (free or paid) available on the property which is not great. No elevator so people with health/mobility issues should avoid. It is a good place to stay for a couple of nights.
Hanoi hotel
No elevator so carrying luggage using the narrow stairway was a little difficult.
Hanoi hotel
Brief stay only to sleep.
Great Stay!
Great location and friendly staff. Very clean with a good breakfast.
Hotel staff is nice
I used for day use. It was comfortable and very convenient place. However my room was 6th floor without elevator, so it was so tough to climb up with stairs.
Exceptionally friendly and helpful staff in a wonderful location.
Convenient location and great staff
We were in Vietnam for holiday. The service at the hotel was fabulous. Everyone went out of their way to help us.
Room very nice, no elevator though. Staff helpful & friendly. Downstairs area where you eat breakfast is very small. Would stay again for the discounted price.
Very clean and right in the middle of Hanoi great location. Stuff is very hospitable but we found it a little too much with many questions and excessive explanation about the room. The breakfast is the best we had in Vietnam for sure. This place should get a storage room - all the luggage of checked out guests are just laying around the hotel.
Great location. Excellent staff. Nice room. No complaints.
Close to everything: Food, culture, entertainment
Very friendly staff, convenient location and comfortable room!
Close to everything and yet very quiet and peaceful. On a narrow street which means cars and busses can’t travel on it. Your transport will drop you a block away and you will need to walk the rest.
Excellent location. Walking distance to key sights. Can sit at window at breakfast and people watch.
Good place to stay.
A good place to stay at. The location is in an alley area and will be crazy to cross during the weekend night market on one side, but it is relatively quiet and also next to another hotel and hostel. We booked a family room that could accommodate up to 4 pax. Either than the molds/scums on the bath's shower, and a low ceiling, all is fine. And would be a good place to rest in the evening after a full day of activity.
Family trip to Vietnam
Great hotel, super friendly staff and location could be better. Stayed in the family room with our two kids, it was perfect!
Pleasant stay. We extended our stay after 2 days.
The hotel is located besides the "Beer Street", and streets all days - extra busy in the weekends. Recommend you contact the hotel regarding transport from the airport, to the hotel the first time you visit. This will help you greatly. The hotel does not have any lift, but they will happily transport the luggage for you up the stairs. Ask for a room on the lower floors if you like less stairs. Ask for a room on the top floor if you like to isolate yourself from the street noise (Room 605) The staff is very helpful, and will assist you with most local enquires. Most speak english, some very well, others understand more than they speak.
Lovely, friendly boutique hotel
Genuinely one of the nicest, friendliest hotels we have ever stayed at. Breakfast made to order, excursions and taxis booked for us were fab and the whole place was spotlessly clean. It's also completely quiet at night when getting to sleep, despite how close it is to all of the action. We'd definitely stay here again
What I like about this property is the staff services which are very nice and helpful
Great friendly staff even get snacks and a drink on arrival id stay again jisustt for the staff
A little paradise in the Old Quarter. Close to all the action. Staff were extremely helpful. David even took me for a Bia Hoi experience. Breakfast is cooked fresh and we were provided with take away breakfast for our bus trip to Sapa. Excellent hotel.
Lovely Hotel in the Middle of the Old Quarter
I stayed here with my husband for 3 nights. The hotel staff was very friendly and helpful. The bed was comfortable and the room was clean. In spite of being in a very busy area, the hotel was quiet and we slept well. The complimentary breakfast was great! There is no elevator, and the staircase is quite narrow, but this was not a problem for us.
The room was great quality for the price. The staff put a lot of effort into making sure we were organised for our stay and were very knowledgeable.
Great little hotel
Great little hotel in the heart of the Old Town. Staff excellent, room lovely. Recommend.
Great staff good location lot of food and bars around
A wonderful place to stay
The service is amazing. When we arrive, Le patiently sat us down to brief us about the neighbourhood, offered us a welcome drink. On Christmas day, we had a surprise treat from the hotel with free snacks, wine and juice. They were all out to make it a wonderful stay for us. We love it. We had a family room, room was a little small though. There are no lift in the hotel, but the bell boy is always helpful to bring up the luggage for us.
Central location. Great staff and service. Free snacks
Very clean and comfortable small hotel. The staff are exceptional. Great spot in the old quarter
Great place but small room (God is fair)
Location is great, right in the heart of old quarter, but quiet as it is in a small alleyway. Room is a bit small and not much of a view. Staff are friendly to provide support, helping us coordinate with our ha long bay cruise bus pick up. Check in process is also very thorough, walking us through the map of hanoi go orientate us and giving us points of interest to visit. Boiled water tastes funny. Might want to bring a travel size kettle. TV channels are fuzzy but can still watch.
Can't recommend this hotel more highly! 10***
This is the best place I stayed in Vietnam. Everything about Hanoi Elite Hotel was good; from the warm welcome I received upon arrival, to the best of service from the staff and the lovely room.
This was a charming boutique hotel, small and unique in style. It was a fantastic location within the Old Quarter. The staff went out of their way to please and we thoroughly enjoyed our stay. There was no lift in the building and our room was on the 6th (top) floor, so it would not suit elderly or disabled guests, but if you are young and able it is all part of the authentic Old Quarter experience.
Great Hotel Staff
The staff was incredibly attentive to our needs and helped plan part of our trip. Not only did they take care of train tickets for us when we were half the country away, but also took care of my mom for tours and transportation with no problems after I left a day early. I would like to specifically mention Ms. Linh for her regular and thorough communication to solve issues prior to arrival.
Hotel is in the heart of the Old Quarter of Hanoi.
A wonderful place to stay in the Old Quarter. The Hotel was under different management this time but Kate and her staff do a fantastic job of providing top service to guests. Everyone was so attentive to our needs - from the check-in, daily cleaning, arranging taxi service, and the check out when leaving. I only had breakfast there once in 12 days because we would sleep too late. But the breakfast we had was delightful. I should mention that the first night when I checked in I was given a wonderful snack of local fresh fruit and tea. I definitely recommend the Elite Hotel to visitors who desire to stay in Hanoi's Old Quarter.
Lovely little hotel in depths of old quarter , so easy to walk from here to see the sights, to enjoy the food and drink and just explore and meet the lovely folk . The hotel staff were totally brilliant . So helpful , informative right from the moment we stepped in until our departure , it made our stay in Hanoi really wonderful , would highly recommend and defo go back
Fantastic - 5*!!!
The hotel staff were so accommodating and helpful. This was our first stop on our trip around Vietnam and they were able to provide lots of useful information! Highly recommend the food tour that they can arrange - we did it the first night and it helped us get to grips with all the different areas and street food! The hotel is right in the centre of the nightlife but very very quiet!! We did a trip to Halong Bay after staying here and the staff were so kind to let us go back and shower/change before our overnight train. Would highly highly recommend to anyone going to Hanoi!!!
Service simply outstanding
Victoria deserves a customer service gold star and best employee award. She was proactive before we arrived and during our stay. We arrived really early and was offered an upgrade to the sister hotel as the room was not ready until early afternoon. Nice touch and very considerate, although the sister hotel was not so good, dark room and breakfast letting it down. We were glad to return and breakfast and room standard in the Elite puts a lot of five star to shame. Nothing was too much trouble for Victoria. She helped us with onward travel arrangements to Halong bay and even the return to Hanoi airport. Exceptional service and all executed with calm, ease and with a smile
comfortable hotel near the lake
clean room and kind staff. but water is low pressure and not to control easy. however it is good and comfortable compared with price. If you want to enjoy atmosphere with lots of traveller, this is the place yuo choose.
Small hotel, big personality
Great staff, all very friendly and always eager to be of help. Located inside an alley way in the Old Quarter, it is surrounded by markets, restaurants, shops and nightlife (but surprisingly not at all noisy from our 1st floor room). There are no lifts in this building but there's no issue there as the lovely bellboy would take your luggage up to your room, down to the lobby upon check out and escort you out of the alley to your transport. The breakfast crew were incredible. You order your breakfast from a menu (which has a large variety to chose from) and the chef would make it all fresh. There are only about 4 tables in the lobby so may need to wait if there's no table available (fortunately for us, we got lucky and had never had to wait). Great hotel! Thanks for having us!
Good. No lift though, so if youre on the 6th floor, as we were, you need to be reasonably fit.
A 5 * personal service and standard.
We were recommended. The Elite and it exceeded our expectations. We were given a complimentary early check in and uograded room. The hotel team very both friendly and professional giving both useful advice and information. The room was immaculate and built to a high standard of specification. The breakfast options were wide ranging and made to order. We found the egg coffee cafe, Water puppet theatre, Bamboo Theatre show and Cooking Course through them. We really appreciated such personal service as nothing seemed too much trouble. A truly 5***** experience. We shall return!
Best hotel in Hanoi
On a scale of 1-10 where 10 is perfect: Staff competent, knowledgeable & friendly ...10 Location ....10 Room...10 (laptop in every room) Breakfast (included) ...10 Cleanliness ...10 Conclusion... 4 star hotel with budget prices
Great location
Great location right in old quarter. Very nice staff and good breakfast. Surprisingly quiet for where it's located. No elevator so climbing to the six floor is a hike but staff is always willing to help. Rooms are a little small but that is expected given the location. We would definitely stay again.
Clean, safe hotel with outstanding staff.
This hotel is located in a narrow alley connecting to two busier streets in the Old Quarter of Hanoi.. The location may seem intimidating to visitors to Vietnam for the first time, but the hotel is safe, clean and relatively quiet. The hotel doesn't have an elevator and the staircase is quite narrow, so ask for a room on the lower levels if this is likely to bother you. The room I had was ideal for a single occupant. The WIFI worked faultlessly. Only the A/C in heat mode seemed to have a problem after running for a short while. The shower area was a little tight but overall the bathroom was excellent. The outstanding feature of this hotel is the manager, David, and his staff. They were always pleasant, helpful and eager to make sure things went smoothly. The breakfast menu was very good with both Vietnamese and Western dishes available. Complimentary coffee, tea or juice was available at any time of the day.
Excellent service
We spent 3 nights (2+1). It is a small boutique hotel with no more than 6 or 7 rooms (one per floor). There is a small breakfast area by the reception.
Very Nice hotel with great staff, but without lift
Very Nice, new and clean hotel with wonderful staff, but without lift !
New and Clean hotel with excellent staff
New and Clean hotel with excellent staff. The only problem is that, there is no lift for this 6 story brand new hotel. Be aware of that.
Great value hotel in old quarter
The Pho at breakfast was amazing! Staff were exceedingly polite and helpful, rooms very clean and modern and contained a computer. Fantastic hotel, great price.
Old quarter
Staff was amazing: kind, helpful, cheerful. All all hotels in the Old Quarter the rooms were small and there was no elevator although a young, strong man was available to carry bags. Would definitely recommend to others and would gay there again.
Lovely hotel tucked into the Old Quarter
The staff went above and beyond to take care of us. There were beautifu freshl roses on the bed and in the bathroom
Great location, excellent staff
We had a triple room here which was comfortable & well appointed including a work station & laptop, though a little cramped with all of our luggage too. The staff are fantastic & very helpful (including early morning welcome from the overnight train!). Great location in the old quarter and walking distance to everywhere. Highly recommended!
Great location for exploring the old quarter
This was a real gem, breakfast was fantastic and the staff could not do enough to help, it's a young team with a great customer focused approach
Good location to cafes and sightseeing.
One of the best hotels I’ve been to. Staff were very friendly and attentive. They went over and above to help me make arrangements to Halong Bay. V thoughtful and good English. Breakfast is fantastic.
lovely hotel
staff fantastic nothing they won't do for you !! rooms very clean and high standard of decor and service, really comfortable. great breakfasts. great location, even though it's down a back ally.
Perfect hotel in the Old Quarter
Fantastic! The staff were a delight. The location is super convenient, but it is up an alley way so it's not perfect door to door (the staff will help you though). Great breakfast.
Excellent accommodation option in convenient location in the old city area of Hanoi.
A Beautiful Boutique Hotel in the Old Quarter
We spent two separate nights at the Hanoi Elite Hotel as we went out to Sapa on a tour for 3 days. What we liked about the hotel were the extremely friendly and efficient staff and the excellent facilities at the hotel. There was attention to detail in the rooms from the little jars of sweet treats to the flower petals spread over the bed cover. The breakfast was also very nice and freshly prepared. The location was also very close to hundreds of restaurants and bars at the end of the laneway. We loved the peaceful and quiet location down a laneway away from the noise and traffic of the Old Quarter. We would definitely stay here again.
Perfect location in Old Quarter
This stylish little hotel is a gem. Very close to shops, cafes and restaurants. Warm, friendly, helpful staff. Comfortable rooms with much attention to detail.
The hotel is greatly located, close to everything. The rooms are nice and cozy.
Very impressed!
I stayed here for full night with my dad in a twin room, and then two singles as well. We were really impressed with all the staff that continue to go above and beyond and help us with all matters, making us stay comfortable and enjoyable. We were really impressed with the level of service, the standard of the room and the cleanliness as well as the beds which were super comfortable! The staff were great, very helpful, friendly and welcoming, they let us keep bags at the hotel in between visits and tours. The hotel is also located very conveniently in the Old Quarter and despite being right in the heart of all the action, being down a side street means there was no noise at night. Brilliant! To the Hanoi Elite Hotel, thank you for making our stay a great one. :D. Jenny & Chris
Excellent location, property and staff
Hanoi Elite is a wonderful hotel in the heart of the Old Quarter. The staff is very helpful, rooms are very nice and the breakfast is perfect.
Nice hotel with good location!!!
The room is clean and tidy with good ambience. The staffs are always friendly and welcome. We were loaded with all the information about the city ( where to eat, where to go and what to do...). We had an amazing stay in the hotel.
An old quarter little gem!
Helpful, professional, welcoming staff at all hours. In the heart of the hustle and bustle of the old quarter yet a quiet haven. A perfect location for a family break. Comfortable room with thoughtful extras like tea and coffee making, little biscuits, bottled water and comfy beds. Delicious breakfast. We were welcomed via email before our holiday and their warm hospitality was consistent throughout. A delightful stay!
Amazing customer service in a well located hotel
We stayed at the Hanoi Elite hotel twice, either side of a trip to Halong Bay. The hotel is right at the centre of the old town but located on a quiet side street. Cars cannot access the hotel so you have to walk the last or first 50 metres if you are going on an excursion or to the airport but as a result you are just far enough away from the hustle and bustle and noise of the old town. There is no elevator and 6 floors so if you are not great with stairs this is a consideration. But the extremely helpful staff will eagerly carry your bags. A great breakfast is included and kept us going for a full day of exploring Hanoi. The rooms are compact, but well appointed. We have not received customer service as good as here or been as satisfied with any hotel in our years of travelling as we have with the Hanoi Elite. We would return here in a heartbeat.
Very nice hotel in the old quarter yet quiet
I agree with all the previous reviewers. The hotel is very comfortable. The service and staff are outstanding. They really go out of their way to help and meet all your needs. Will definitely come back.
Look no further - book here!
I spent days on trip advisor and reading reviews before deciding on booking at the Hanoi Elite Hotel for our 4 day stay in Hanoi. This hotel provided us with everything we needed. Right after I booked our stay we received an email from the Hotel GM, Luc, asking if he could do anything for us prior to coming. He ended up booking our Halong Bay overnight boat cruise (gave us an awesome recommendation for the right boat cruise!) and he booked our overnight sleeper train to Hue. When we arrived Miss Tu/Thu took absolute care of us for the remainder of our stay. She gave us great recommendations for restaurants, booked our Street Food Tour, which was the highlight of our stay in Hanoi and when we came back from our Halong Bay excursion to pick up our luggage that they stored for free (and we had obviously checked out of the hotel already), they allowed us to stay in the hotel ie... take a shower, they fed us and arranged for a hotel staff member to escort us to the train station and put us on our sleeper train!!! Now that is service! Here are the short details about the hotel: Location: in the heart of the Old Quarter, so perfect location and it's quiet. Room: Cosy, modern, clean. Breakfast: Fantastic!! Service: Best service we received in all the hotels we stayed at in Vietnam. Book here!
In Old Quarter, close to everything!!
The staff is so helpful and they can book tours to sites near Hanoi. I just love walking out the door and experiencing the Old Quarter with the street vendors and shops.
Great staff and service. Excellent breakfast. Rooms small but very clean.
Small friendly boutique hotel in Old Quarter
Lovely welcome in reception and birthday decorations in our room. Lots of useful little extras in room - toiletries, water, tea/coffee making facilities, laptop, hairdryer, umbrella, etc. Quick cheap laundry service. Great breakfast prepared to order. Helpful staff. V good location close to restaurants bars shops water puppet theatre. Highly recommend.
Excellent Service
The staff here are very helpful in terms of providing information. Hotel is a three minute walk from many restaurants. Breakfast is delicious and cooked to order. Rooms are small but furnished with everything you need including a laptop.
Great stay in a great city.
We were looking for a hotel in the old quarter and Hanoi Elite fit the bill perfectly. Located down a quiet alley and within walking distance to tons of bars, restaurants and sites. The staff could not have been more helpful and even upgraded our room upon check in.
Great hotel, exceptional service!
Outstanding hotel, the staff couldn't be more helpful and friendly, especiallg Thu who was working on reception for most of our stay. They made everything easy for us, helped us with advice for the local area, organised a discounted spa trip for us, let us store our luggage while we went to Halong Bay for two days and made us feel so welcome throughout. The location of the hotel is unrivalled, right in the Old Quater but on a side street so it's quiet at night. If you're planning a trip to Hanoi, you should definitely stay here!!

Room was dirty and dungy. Staff was nice.
