The staff at Hanoi Discovery Hotel were very welcoming and helpful. It was very convenient to very central places in Old Quarter Hanoi. The room was perfect for a solo traveler like me. Hope to stay again sometime!

Everything would be great except there is very loud karaoke that goes until midnight .

If you want to be in the heart of Beer Street, this is your place for a cheap price. However the cheap price and local of bars, results in mediocre room and what appeared to be vomit on the bathroom wall which could have easily been cleaned by housekeeping. Will define spend the extra 10 usd if staying in a drinking area.

This hotel is a great location. The room was clean and comfortable . It was on a street that was a bit noisy until around midnight .

Good basic hotel located in central backpacker district. Staff very helpful. Breakfast was decent for small hotel. WiFi worked well & TV had a couple English movie channels I would stay again. Bed linen clean and comfortable

Room was ok but internet bad won’t work in room and was not told about breakfast even though I had paid for it in adavance and full payment made to hotel which was their duty to tell customers if they forgot so they should refund money half or refund for breakfast paid for n not served to me or told me about it when I met them in morning man n women who run that hotel paying rent to owner of hotel to have breakfast which is free n I paid for so had to go out spend more money n eat out

Staff very kind, room and bed clean... a bit noisy from the street because of many barsssss in this area, but not that much on 3rd floor (+ always have my ear plugs while travelling). The single room I booked was not available, but I had a 6 beds one only for myself. Ok for a short stay... maybe also for city night birds :)

Budget Guesthouse

At the center of everything, right at the dot of night life of backpacker area of Hoan Kiem. Note it is of the lane of Luong Ngoc Quyen with a blinking sign of "Hotel". I had problem looking for this hotel because the website shows the front of Disvovery II Hotel ,25 Hang Mam Street. Anyway the right place to stay, a walking distance for food and beer.

This is a very small budget hotel. It gets the job done if you have a small budget or a very short stay in old quarter. Great location though.

Budget hotel perfect for solo travelers

31/m solo traveler - stayed here 3 nights while i was in Hanoi. Hotel is off a main raid tucked in a little alley. Location was GREAT...restaurants and bars are right outside the doorstep. the room itself was nothing special. i had a bed and a private bathroom, but they were clean and everything worked fine. The owners helped me get laundry done and called a taxi for me to take to the airport. They were super friendly. I would 100% stay here again.

Everything you need

Great stay, perfect location, spacious room, hot water, powerful shower, clean bathroom, nice clean bedding, comfy pillow, bed a bit hard and floor could do with a bit of bleach. Location is few steps away from bia hoi, you are in the centre of the action and its not loud in the room. We slept well. Great guys at the reception.

Affordable price

A great place to stay to explore the old city, cheap price, everything is nice except for no hot water (?) If you stay up late, this would be a perfect choice since very close to Ta Hien - lots of bars working at night.

Really good!

Kinda sketchy when we first found were it was, but the hotel was awesome! The staff were so friendly and accommodating! The air condition only works for certain hours (9pm-9am), but other than that it was great! The breakfast was eggs and toast with juice/coffee/tea so that was an extra bonus! Highly recommend staying here while visiting Hanoi! Also so close to everything!

Time for some TLC!!!

The hotel is perfectly located in the old quarter of Hanoi and short walk from Hoan Kiem lake. The owners are nice. They also offer tours to Halong Bay but there is around 10$ difference from what you can find with travel agents outside. Besides the convenient location though this hotel is in very poor state at the moment and for me it didn't live up to all the nice reviews on TripAdvisor. I have booked the single room which was once painted in white. Now it's just dirty. The whole place actually needs a deep cleaning!!!!! Also a place to at least leave your phone would've been nice. There was no bedside table or something that reminded of one so if you stay in the single room you're obliged to leave all your stuff on the floor. Breakfast is ok and you have a choice between few dishes, but again I had to eat with my hands cause my fork looked like it escaped from the dishwasher earlier... This place could be nice with a coat of fresh paint and some really good cleaning!!! This won't make it a 5* but it will be a more pleasant stay!!!

Nice hotel in touristy area

Owner and his family all extremely welcoming and helpful with the one exception of when we told them we had already booked a cruise to halong bay (lady seemed annoyed we didn't book through them). Rooms were spacious and had air con, free breakfast in the morning was decent. Excellent street food just outside the alley on luong ngoc quyen street. Overall had an excellent stay.

Nice place.

Nice place in great location close to the ‘beer street’. There is noise from the street most of the night, but a nice hotel. Mike, the owner was very kind and helpful.

・シングルで予約したのに、予約の際はシングルの部屋の紹介がダブルの写真で載っていたので部屋に入った瞬間は全然違ってガッカリした。(窓も無く息苦しい) ・スタッフがサービス皆無 ・テレビも使えない ・窓がないので空気の循環が悪い とりあえずガッカリです。 ここに泊まるなら同じ名前のⅡがあるので、そっちに泊まったほうが明らかにいいです。同じ値段だと思います。こっちはやめた方がいい。

일단 하노이 맥주거리에 위치해서 주변먹거리 놀거리 풍부합니다 호안끼엠,짝뚱쇼핑가,하노이,비엔 기차역도 가깝고..도보10분..주말에는 야시장도 가깝고 단 주변이 밤까지 소란합니다 오토바이차,차 경적소리 .. 객실은싱글룸기준..작네요..ㅋ 티비없어요.엘레베이터 없고요..ㅋ 가격대비 만족합니다 ..싸고 좋은데는 없어요..ㅋ 무료조식도 좋네요..

Excelente situación y personal maravilloso

Una estancia ideal. Está situado en el núcleo del ambinte del casco antiguo de Hanoi. Personal super agradable.

Cheap Hotel close to Hoan Kiem

The staff was super friendly and I appreciated how close the Hotel was to Hoan Kiem. They immediately changed my mattress after I complained about it being very hard. Room was definitely small but good for what you pay.

Cool staff and clean / super noisy

As soon as we got in our room we realized we could not stay there. The club in front of it gets extremely loud every night and is impossible to sleep (if you are looking for sleep and not party). Although they were super helpful and changed us to their other hotel just around the corner, Discovery II. This one with much better infrastructure and silent (no windows but it's better in Hanoi trust me). In Discovery II we had a great stay in a good location for a good price.

観光するには便利な場所です

古いホテルで金額相応ですが、過ごしやすいです。

방이 다소 작긴하지만 청결합니다. 와이파이도 잘 터지고 에어컨도 잘 작동하지만 바로 옆 골목에 술집이 많아 주말에는 새벽까지 시끄러워요.

旧市街で、ビールとコーヒー好きには立地条件の良いホテル。

2泊しましたが、最初の部屋は浴室のファンの調子が悪かったのですが、翌日には部屋を替えてもらうことができました。 男1人旅でしたので、立地条件のみでホテルの快適性は正直求めて無かったのですが、帰国前に知り合った日本人の方に聞いたのですが、安宿でもコーヒーやビールが飲み放題のホテルがあるそうです。 結論は、難点は通りに面したホテルではないので、初めての旅行者には見つけにくいホテルです。また、宿泊費に対してのサービス諸々は、こんなものだろうと思います。

道に迷うホテル

迷路みたいな所にホテルがあります。 近くに市場があるのに迷って、どこへも行けませんでした。 便利だと思って泊まったのに全く出かけられませんでした。 部屋が狭すぎて、スーツケースが開けれませんし、ドアを開けた瞬間にベッドです。2泊しましたが、タオルを新しくしていませんし。部屋の掃除もしていませんでした。

The owner is very nice and speaks good English. Also the location is great in old town. But my room was so tiny that it was difficult to move and it also was a little dirty.
