The staffs are friendly. The breakfast was excellent.
The first room we received was just above street level and beside the kitchen so very noisy from 6am to 1am, incessant honking of car horns made it impossible to get a good night’s sleep. Asked for a quieter room next morning and was given a nice big room on 3rd floor and could not hear any noise at all. After that we had a great stay. Staff was friendly and accommodating.
Friendly staff but the condition of the room is needed better maintenance.
The hotel did not look anything like what was advertised online. It looked as if everything online was photoshopped. The hotel was centered around a street market. Therefore, a lot of noise and bad smell. Our room wasn’t ready when we got there. There were not much variety in terms of breakfast. Laundry service was available. The inside of the hotel was hot but the rooms were very cool temperature. The staff was lovely especially Penny.
The location is close to the market and lake and other attractions, it is clean and quiet and the staff are very helpful and friendly
Pho and omelette for breakfast. Very near everything. Right next to the weekend night market as well. Great staff, great food and great location.
It’s a friendly and convenient
Great choice of place to stay!
The hotel is a little odd. Be aware that the reception desk is on the second floor with a step staircase to get to it. There is an elevator to get to the guest rooms after climbing that initial set of stairs. But this would have been good information. Luckily there is someone that waits on the ground level to carry up the bags. The staff was very nice and helpful. The hotel location is right in the middle of some shops so it a little hard to see. it's probably 10 feet wide and blends right in to the other shops. The rooms are a little dated, not exactly like the pictures represent. But it was a fine hotel in a good location, close to the main sites. But just some things to be aware of when chosing this hotel.
Bad experience . Too dirty and noisy.
Everything was fine ..but for the 20 steps to climb to reach the reception!
Overall environment is bad, the blanket is thin, window have no curtain, very bright in the morning.
The staff are really lovely and accommodating. We arrived around 3.30pm and our room wasn’t ready yet, and we had to wait another 15-20mon. The TV wasn’t working, and the bottles in the fridge (even though there was no sign) was chargeable so we got told after we used it. There’s no fly screen in the bathroom. However there was chicken pho for breakfast which was really nice.
Small room, noisy
The hotel did not live up to the pictures online. We just needed a last minute cheap hotel for 7 hours. The staff was helpful.
Ok overall, wouldn't return again
Hotel bears little resemblance to the photos online. Hotel closes doors early at night so have to ring bell, which is fine but was treated as if we did something wrong when returning. Was only 10.30 and around midnight on 2 nights. Otherwise we had a good experience but these are things to consider if looking to book. Very good location in old quarter near a lot of attractions. Breakfast was nice but small options- eggs or noodle soup. Rooms despite being bit worn had all essentials and was very clean
Staffs are very friendly and helpful, would be back in the near future.
Great Host(s), Location, and Value!
We loved our stay here! Mr. Ryan was a fantastic host. Either able to support you, or direct you if he can't. We have been on the road for the last month and Mr.Ryan is still one of the only hosts to reach out to us first, introduce himself, and offer support. While the rooms could use a deeper clean, it was a great price, and a great location if you want a taste of the old town- and breakfast was delicious! *One small tip: if you're paying for a driver to pick you up, ensure the "waiting fee" is accurate This was the first hotel of our vacation, and we thought it fit Hanoi's charm perfectly.
Wonderful Stay!
I loved it here so much on my first visit that I booked it again. The rooms are lovely, just like in the photos. The room was clean and well prepared for my arrival. The location is very central and in close walking distance to everything in Old Quarter. The service was phenomenal! All the staff were extremely friendly and helpful. There’s an elevator which makes it easy to get to your room. And the breakfast was a nice bonus. All for a highly affordable price. Great hotel!
Great Hotel!
Everything about this hotel was perfect for me. The room was clean and looked modern and stylish, the bathroom was clean and modern as well. The service was outstanding! There’s even a breakfast from 7-9am. That was a nice surprise. The location is centrally located. Also, the price was outstanding. I 100% recommend
Located perfect for weekend night market and convenient for food. Reception name miss Dào very polite, she the one make our staying was very pleasant.
The service is 20 out of 10! They treated us like a family and gave the best support like 5 star hotel. The location is close to local food stalls. Their breakfast was brilliant. They offer airport transfer with extra charges. The price was good. The room was clean. What can be improved is the water pressure on the 6th floor and the temperature. The shower didn't work that well and the water was either cold or too hot. Overall my family and I loved the service there. ❤❤❤❤❤❤
In ancient city so convenient walking around easily… grab, be and gojek available as cars or motorbike. Street vendors everywhere around and street easting places as locals and authentic VN food.. Most are on streets if you want to try… Restaurants a little bit farway.. walking close to Ho Hoan Kiemm lake and city tour sightseeing bus as EV tour …
Nicest Hotel Staff and Comfortable Stay
We had an amazing time in Hanoi. The hotel staff members were the nicest I have ever met; they made us feel at home as soon as we arrived. They gave us amazing dining recommendations and great tips for the excursions, even if we had booked them with a different agency. The room and shower were spotless, quiet, and cozy. The beds were comfortable. The location at the heart of the night market was great. The provided warm breakfast was pretty good, especially the ripe bananas and the warm pho. Overall would strongly recommend: this is a comfortable hotel with staff that will go above and beyond to make you feel at home.
Like most places in Old Quarter it is at the center of attractions. The staff are friendly and do their best to assist you with your needs. It's a cozy place and noise will echo.
Old Quarter Hanoi - Our stay
We had an amazing time staying at the hotel. The staff is very friendly and helpful especially with matters that require local language. The location is also convenient, just a stone throw away from the Night Market which takes place every evening starting Fridays all through to Sundays. Generally, its a great place located in Old Quarter Hanoi.
Room was clean, staff was nice, and basic amenities were provided which was a plus. Only complaints are that the water pressure for the bum gun was too high, the air conditioner remote wasn't working properly, and their tour packages weren't the best.
Solo traveller.
I picked the hotel mainly as I was in the Old Quarter The hotel is clean and ideal for visiting Hanoi. Staff were very friendly and the pick up from the airport was ideal and saved me any hassle. Would stay again
The staff is the only positive about our stay. The room provided was not as pictured. I booked a room with three beds and instead we got two beds, and a fold up mattress on the floor. One of the beds had yellow stained sheets and the towels were also super old. The room was moist like it was moldy.
Good experience
Great location in the Old Quarter close to everything. The room was clean and spacious. The staff were very friendly and helpful. I would stay there again
The hotel is located strategically at heart of Old Quarter, just 2 min to Night Market, 5 min to Dong Xuan Market and there are also streets of shops and eateries around. The Beer corner is also only 10 min walk and 15min to Koan Hiem Lake too. There is the main street just outside the hotel and therefore the area is brightly lit and feel safe even if we returned late. Hotel rooms are considerably clean, spacious and therefore comfortable. My children whom normally were very picky on the hotel environment, liked this room. Given the price we have paid, i would think it was really worthwhile especially because of its location too. There were minor feedback on the rooms eg. Bathroom has no lock and the full flooring get wet after showering, the towels and bedsheets were rather old etc. You may want to use yr own towel if you cannot accept the faded towel. However these will not let me thinking about giving them a lower rating. The hotel also provided the day tour booking and no complaints on their arrangements. We were satisfied with their service too.
Hidden narrow ally style entrance in the back Took me awhile to find it and I was right in front of it
Like the location, good reception people and the foods are good
Great customer service. Nice big beds! Good location.
Property was very nice, convenient location. Room was clean and the bed was firm but very comfortable. Air conditioning worked amazing. Best part was the service. Most helpful hotel staff I have ever met. Booked a bus and tour out to Halong bay for me. At the end of my stay, they walked me all the way out to main road to put me on the bus. When I was in Halong bay I booked a second tour through a different company and had lots of problems. I called Vanessa who works at this hotel and she called the tour company late at night and helped me fix my problem. Very grateful to the staff at this hotel. You will not find better service anywhere else!
Very nice people, hospitality, good location , friendly service
Located in a shabby area, this hotel surprised us. We had a wonderful stay, the staffs including the cleaners are so warm and friendly, the rooms we booked were connecting rooms and were clean and very spacious. Out of all the hotels we’ve booked on this trip to Asia, we felt Hanoi Old Town Hotel was the most comfortable and staffs most friendly. Breakfast was included and very nice. Thank-you to all the staffs. Highly recommended.
Staff at this hotel are truly great. In the old quarter close to lake and great shopping .
comfortable and welcoming
Got of the plane from north america 12 hours off my home time zone. Was a great place to stay to get acclimatized for a couple days then move on to explore the south. Will definitely be back for a night before flight home from Hanoi
Very nice Please keep it up Staff are very friendly & good.
The service here is increadible. The staff will attend to your every need! From tour bookings to taxis to restaurant recommendations they are ready to assist. They even have a nice menu and partnership with local restaurants so if you're just getting in and need a quick bite to eat they've got you covered. Truly 5 star service. Van helped me find things to do in Hanoi and took the time to explain the map to me. She also recommended resturants and told me some of the history about the city. She was very helpful. This is a lovely place with lovely people. You won't regret staying here.
Lovely place In Old Quarter
Wonderful place and amazing staff!! Would definitely recommend to anyone
We enjoyed our time staying here, a true standout it Lily who could not be a more gracious host. She constantly goes the extra mile, set up logistics and even getting my friend a lemon tea when she heard she had a cold! The facilities matched expectations in relation to the photos, warning that the beds are on the stiffer side. Overall it was good value for money in the center of Hanoi.
Good staff but poorly maintained hotel
Staff seemed really keen to be helpful. And the bed was huge and comfy. That's where positives end. Overall the room and bathroom had an old, an not very pleasant feel. The room door was mostly glass, only covered by a curtain. The door had to be slammed to get shut - and from what I heard, other rooms on my floor were the same. Plenty of stains on curtains. Shower outflow didn't work properly, and shower door didn't fully close so the water flowed through the rest of bathroom. Bathroom had two big holes in the wall (c20x20cm) - fully open to the outside, and the bathroom door had built-in vents, so the air and noise from outside went all the way to the room. Overall, I was disappointed and unsure how the other high ratings were achieved. Having a good staff is all fine, but if you skip on upkeep and maintenance, the quality of the accomodation goes down.
The entire staff went above and beyond to make sure we had an enjoyable stay in Hanoi. My wife and I stayed at the hotel on three different occasions, and every staff member that we encountered was incredibly friendly, helpful, and professional. We stored our luggage there between tours, which was great. The breakfast was delicious as well, including lots of fresh fruit and eggs on request. Wonderful location in the heart of the Old Quarter. Can't recommend enough. Thanks Van, Long, Sang, Lisa, Dat, and the rest of the staff...you're awesome!
The hotel staff are really friendly, very informative about the local area and booked an excellent tour to the less travelled parts of Northern Vietnam which i loved. They were always keen to see how i was and i think for the cost and location the hotel is a great option. Overall i think that i would be very happy to return, the rooms are spacious and reasonably well equipped. The breakfast was varied and well prepatrd and the wifi was fast and reliable!!
Most of the rooms are old, could use a new paint job and update the bathroom.
Noise, noise, noise... particularly the enormous noise from the outside units of the air conditioners as the windows cannot block any sound from the outside.
Although we had some trouble checking in from an early train ride (4:30 a.m.) even after emailing them, the hotel went above and beyond to help rectify the problem and make our stay more comfortable.
Great stay :)
We had a lovely stay here. The staff were so attentive and helped us to arrange a taxi service via email as soon as we placed our booking! The breakfast was great and the hotel is in a great location :)
All staff members we encountered were extremely friendly, helpful, and made us feel so welcome and comfortable. Sara and Henry especially went above and beyond to make our stay in Hanoi a great one.
Nice hotel in the old town. Staff very friendly and helpfull. Breackfast very good with a good selection of food. Would stay there again
For the price that you pay for this hotel, you can find so many other good hotels in Hanoi. The staff were amazing; just a little bit pushy. The location was good; but my room bathroom was not really clean.
Had a great quick stay at this hotel!
We were here for less than 12 hours, so can’t say too much - but the staff was so nice and they were accommodating with our late check in. The bed in our room was massive! Perfect for what we needed.
Very nice 3 star property.
I booked for 1 week and ended up booking for another week. The hotel is in a really good location close to a lot of restaurants and shops. The hotel staff was very polite and friendly. I would stay at this hotel again.
Very friendly and helpful staff. Lili, Long, Kindi, Lisa were always there to assist and advise on my hotel stay and booking my wonderful 3D-2N trip to Sapa - very helpful people and work hard to ensure your stay is memorable. Thanks also to Trang & Sang who provide a wonderful breakfast service with a smile - buffet and you can order from the menu - all very good. And thanks to Thien and others who assist you with luggage and security at the front door. Overall, the hotel is in a good location in the old town, the room was very good with the ability to open the windows and the staff were a delight to deal with. If I return to Hanoi, I would certainly look to stay there again in the future.
Excellent staff
Long and Giang were especially helpful in setting up guides and drivers. They even escorted us to a restaurant. Extremely friendly and want to make your stay most enjoyable
perfect budget hotel in great location
easily the best accommodation we’ve stayed in in asia for the price. huge bed, very hot water shower, good cooked breakfast included and rally helpful lively staff. everything’s big within walking distance in old quarter
Thanks Hanoi Old Town Hotel!
We had a great experience - extremely helpful, but not pushy. Clean well equipped rooms. Great breakfasts. We will be back!
Home away home.
Comfortable friendly always ready to make you feel homely and respected with smile. Always wanted to come back.
Great location, not so great accomodations
The location is excellent. The hotel is in the middle of old Hanoi where most of the buzz is. However, the hotel has issues. Our first night there, the AC and the TV did not work in our room. Also, the bed sheets were not clean enough. You could see black spots in them which was a turnoff. Eventually we got our room changed and the AC was working but the TV was still not working well enough (TV static). When we were checking off the last day, we had ordered a driver through the hotel to take us to the airport the night before, the driver did not come on time. We waited for over 40 minutes for him and he still didn't show. Eventually we ordered an uber to take us to the airport. We almost missed our flight. Overall, great location, staff were very polite and they tried to fix our problems, unfortunately some issues were fixes others were not. The hotel can do better.
Pleasant stay at Hanoi old town hotel
My sojourn at Hanoi old town hotel was a pleasant one . The entire staff is cheerful and pleasant enough to please the customers in every aspect . Buffet breakfast is adequate , homemade yogurt is a plus ;) location is central to every thing , especially near Dong Xuan market food stalls if you like to sample Vietnamese authentic culinary with a fraction of price ! My room is spacious and airy on the sixth floor , but quiet . Wifi is strong . Overall , my satisfaction to stay there was a best decision to have made ;-) will return and stay there again at the heart beat . Thank you all of you again my dear friends : Chi , Thuong , Long , Lily , Lisa , Sang , Toan , Toby Linh , manager Phương . Missed you and will see you again . Best wishes to all of you in the Tet holidays season ❤️😀👍🙏👌
Excellent location and amazing staff!
The staff went out if their way to make us feel at home, great recommendations and tips throughout our stay. We stayed in a family room, 2 adults & 2 kids, great vaule for money and the staff threated our boys like princes :) Located in the heart if the city with a great breakfast meny. Higly reccomemded!
Friendlt staff, good location.
Very friendly and helpful welcome which made the stay at the hotel very comfortable.
The staff are wonderful — very welcome and helpful. Great location
Excellent stay with a budget friendly price tag. Located in the old quarters so basically, near to most stuff you will need.
Great Location In the Old Town
The hotel was wonderful. Great location in the Old Town area. Kindy was fantastic always making sure that our stay was very comfortable.
the passion and kindness of staff are amazing and extraordinary. but the water pressure was bit weak in 6/f room.
Great location.
Great Hotel friendly staff & nothing was a trouble for them easy check in & check out. staff always ready to have a chat to customers & to help with directions to anywhere in the city, Also easy to book tours through -as a package of tours rates are equal to any where else around town. last night at the hotel while waiting for airport transfer, was asked by reception staff if I would like to join them in having dinner with them enjoyed eating local home made vietnamese food.
Fab stay!
Staff were superb! Clean room and comfy bed, in a great location. Would deffo recommend for the price!!
Lovely hotel in heart of old town
Friendly staff personal touch clean reliable reception very friendly helpful
Magical little spot in the Ild Quarter
Very nice, great location. Best customer service, great variety of breakfast options. Will stay here again on my way back through Hanoi
Very good for the money, can't expect 5 star ⭐️ Would return again if short of money
Friendly staff
Very friendly and attentive staff, nice room and comfortable bed, buffet breakfast very good. Only negative point is that I found it noisy, throughout the day I could the sound of chairs being dragged across the floor from above me especially, and people slamming their doors shut late at night.
The hotel , is a very good place to stay
very clean , nice bed , good bathroom , very good breakfast most important to start your day , the staff are very nice and helpful , the Hotel is in good location , close to many things to see and do , not far a way is big bus stop , that can use for very low cost to travel around the city . the hotel was a nice place to stay in Veitnam .
Easy to walk to the centre of town.
Arrived to a very warm welcome from all the staff. From the bell boy to the receptionist. My room was very nice with a balcony to sit and drink tea. Kettle and cups supplied. Flat screen tv and lovely beds. Bathroom was nice and spacious. Restaurant was very good, excellent food and staff will cater to your likes and dislikes, also serve you beautifully. Fresh towels every day, water daily.
10/10 recommend
Our stay was amazing and definitely worth the money! The location of this hotel is superb-- Dong Xuan market is right at the cross intersection of our hotel, closeby to Hoan Kiem Lake, the night scene on Ta Hien st. is also really close by, very central location. The hotel staff were also all super friendly, and helpful. I've never encountered a more pleasant hotel staff anywhere else! From the receptionist, to the doorman, to the cleaners. The breakfast selection, those was limited, was really tasty! If you're planning on going to Halong Bay, you can book your tour with our hotel. We paid $5 less at the hotel than what we would have online. The boat that we had for the tour was also really comfortable and included a kayak/bamboo boat session. The only thing that I wasn't completely happy with was our beds. We had 3 beds with varying levels of comfort. 1 bed was comfortable, 1 bed was a little too hard, and the bed I slept on was literally a rock and I usually sleep on firm mattresses. There were a few duvets in the closet so I slept on those instead. Hard bed aside, we still had a very pleasant stay!
Hotel Close to Old Quarter and the Night Market
Quaint hotel staffed by extremely helpful people making our stay in Hanoi great. Pros: Outstanding staff hands down, close to the large weekend night market (30 second walk), within walking distance to the lake, able to schedule tours and pick up at the hotel with no hassle. Cons: Water heating not the best, but will work for 90+ degree weather, beds a bit hard. Overall, the hotel served my family's trip purpose and will recommend to travelers on a budget who will get excellent customer service from the staff. Many thanks to Sarah, Lily and the entire hotel staff.
Great location
Check in was easy. The front desk set up a taxi for following day to airport.
Nice and friendly staff! Helped me a lot. But... we missed cheese, ham in the breakfast :)
The staff are amazing. Very helpful with booking tours and guiding you around the local area. The only issue we had was how damp the room was. It wasn't okay after we set the air conditioning unit to the dry setting and let it dry the room after a few hours.
Good location, friendly and accommodating staff
Near the stores and night market. They will also help you book your tours and make sure that your tour guide will pick you up at the agreed date and time. The room is always cleaned and spacious. They also offer currency exchange at a reasonable conversion. I will definitely book in this hotel again.
Excellent staffs who are able to speak English and assist you with issues
Simple, clean, with friendly staff. Nice hotel.
Very hospitable staff helped direct our tour of Hanoi and Halong Bay and south. Great breakfasts and good communication skills by staff. Favourites were Long and Lilly.
Lovely little hotel
Staff were amazing. Long and the team could not do enough for you. Breakfast lovely and hotel in a great spot.
The Best Hotel and Staff!
The staff at Hanoi Old Town Hotel will feel like family as soon as you meet them! They are incredibly kind, helpful, and accommodating! They offer advice on what to do in Hanoi, as well as throughout Vietnam. The staff made our stay in the Old Quarter our favorite so far throughout our 6 month travels! The hotel itself serves it's purpose and is great for the price. The rooms are clean and spacious. The breakfast is great as well! We highly recommend staying here!
Hanoi Old Town Hotel
They picked us up at the airport and returned us as well. Friendly staff. Our room included breakfast, which was buffet.
Great little hotel...old town Hanoi
Very good hotel.basic but comfortable.great location for exploring old quarter.all within walking distance.will stay there again if ever in Hanoi.good hospitality.
Convenient little hotel, and great staff
The staff at the hotel was some of the most pleasant ones we had encountered during our trip to Vietnam. I loved how genuinely nice and happy the people where, and always trying to ensure we had a great time in Hanoi. hey had some good basic breakfast cooked to order, and the staff was very helpful with dinner recommendations, and sight-seeing directions. There were a couple of things that could have been done better, such us inform us prior to our visit that they had renovation work going on at the time, but all in all, it didn't really affect our stay. One thing that made me think i'd happily revisit this hotel, was their manager, as she was eager for feedback, and very willing and sincere when sitting and chatting with us to better understand where and how they could improve their service.
The staff is friendly, location is great but beds are very uncomfortable
Friendly staff and great location
Our stay was great. The staff was really helpful and friendly.
Nice hotel with incredible staff!
The hotel was very good value for money. The location is great, right in the heart of the old quarters. You can wander out and find food, cafes and bars almost instantly. The hotel itself was good: spacious and clean. What really made this place were the staff! Lily and co were extremely friendly and helpful. They really went out of their way to make our stay better. Also, the Christmas eve party they put on was great fun :)
Staff very friendly & accomodating
All the staff were particularly friendly, helpful & nothing was a problem for them.
Nice mini hotel in old town Hanoi.
This was our second year staying at this hotel. We loved the friendly staff, the spacious room and the convenience to get around Hanoi old town. If you are a health nut, Hoan Kiem lake is a great place for morning walk and it's only 5-10 min walk from the hotel. And least but not last, the price was very very affordable for budget-minded travelers.
In the heart of Hanoi
Great Location and very helpful staff. We came with no plans and Lily came in and made all the thing possible
Very good value for the cost of the accommodation
Central location, staff very helpful.
Convenient and clean
Great little hotel - excellent service. For the price it can't be beaten. Try and avoid the street side rooms as they can be quite noisy.
Old and tired
Make your way through the motor bikes parked out front to find the entrance and climb the stairs to get to the lobby, our room was on the first level and door opens into reception, breakfast was a bit sad, small cup of coffee included in price but pay for anymore, wouldn't stay there again, needs refreshing
Hospitable budget choice
Hotel reception was overwhelmingly welcoming guests. Great tourism ambassadors in particular Ms. Mina. Strongly recomend this hotel. Reasonable price and strategic base to explore Hanoi. All my fellow 10 travellers award 10` Likes ' to the front office.

Family room is great with 3-4 beds. The entry is small and up 15 steps so if you’re not a walker, don’t come here. Breakfast is fair.
