We have stayed here a couple of times now and it’s always a perfect hotel experience. The staff are excellent; friendly, helpful and welcoming. Sandra, that works at the front desk, is simply the best!

A very comfortable, quiet and clean hotel.

Need to either get new mattress 's or maybe flip them sometimes. Other than that it was good.

Rooms were very modern and clean Breakfast was a bit of a let down.

Good hotel and amazing breakfast

Staff were friendly and accomodating, but the remos have been taking a while. We were also there last year of Aug when the construction was ongoing and still not completed this January. Also the dryers needs to be replaced as only one was working during our stay and ot wasn’t drying well either.

Smooth and quick checkin. Clean room. Quite area and easy to drive to. Train station is 3 minute walk away. Geat for activities downtown.

Not so great!

This is the first time we gave stayed at this location. The parking is terrible and to get to the underground parking is quite difficult. We have a mini van and had a difficult time parking. The bed was as hard as a rock. We could hear people talking in the next room when we were in the bathroom. You could hear people walking in the room above. When I told these things upon check out, the front desk person just looked at me and said nothing. The breakfast was good and the breakfast staff were super friendly. Not much room to sit and eat. The cleaning staff did a good job and were friendly and very polite as well. It's unfortunate because we typically look for this brand of hotel wherever we go and usually enjoy our stay. Not this time!

Hotel was clean and room had comfortable beds, nice bath room. There was no closet or hooks for coats etc near the entry door. 2 small closets were located at the opposite end of the unit, not very convenient. The included breakfast was very basic, lacking variety and healthy options and only apples for fruit so we used local restaurants instead.

We had an excellent stay, the beds were comfy and the blankets sheets and bedding were clean and comfortable. The breakfast was pretty good for continental. Pool was fun and the kids liked it but didn’t seem very clean to me. The hotel is undergoing exterior Reno’s but it didn’t bother us. Rooms were kept well and the price was good. Overall enjoyed our stay and would stay again if in the area.

Was a regular at this hotel for nearly a decade - booking myself, staff, volunteers for their stays (both short and longer time frames) in Calgary in this space. Returned after 7 years, only to find some of the same front desk staff, and the same couple managing the free breakfast. In the hotel industry, consistency of staff and of service is desired, but not always achievable. Thanks Hampton Inn & Suites Calgary University NW.

Overall, great stay. Hotel was under construction but no noise or issues. Bed was comfortable, room was modern and clean. One thing - the Parkade needs a large sign that notes you need a key to enter. Multiple members of our party drove down the ramp to have to back out before we had gotten our keys as it was the winter so obviously preferred to park underground.

Nice large and clean room. Front desk person was super helpful and accommodating as we arrived to Calgary early and he was able to get us into our room which was much appreciated. Would definitely stay again.

Convenient location close to our activities for the stay. Property and room was clean and comfortable. Property exterior under construction/repair, but that did not impact our stay at all. A dip in the hot tub was a great way to start our day.

We had a great stay. Little problem with the communication of switching from self stay to WCB payment. Breakfast was great - however the space for it was very small.

The staff were professional and courteous. Being on the 1st floor, it was noisy from the tenants above: walking around and doors closing harshly across the hall, but the staff were great and the suite was as expected.

We really enjoyed our stay at Hampton.

The room was fair. Not much hot water. Fridge wasnt cold. Fans running in hallway all day/night. Dirty hallways. No fresh fruit like in ad. No access to enter shallow end of pool. We had to crawl under waterslide to get to stairs to enter shallow end. Felt like it wasnt what was advertised.

The actual building (inside) is very dated. You can hear everything from the room above & beside (TVs were on late, chairs moving overhead) - all just made for an uncomfortable stay. The coffee machine in room hadn’t been cleaned & had old grounds & gunk in it.

I didn't like the part where the pool area had construction, it wasn't very appealing and it did not feel safe at all. Elevators have a problem sometimes in reading the Keycard but front desk was quick to fix it. Everything else was good. Room was clean and tidy. Free bfast was great as well.

I was in Calgary for business. I informed the front desk that i required late checkout due to a business meeting downtown. My meeting went later than anticipated and i arrived back at the hotel @ 2 PM. I was informed that I would be billed for a second night due to the late checkout. The cleaning staff was still on my floor cleaning rooms. I find this lack of professional courtesy to be very poor. I am very disappointed with Hampton Inn and do not plan to support the brand in the future..

It would have been nice to know before booking that this property was under renovation.

With renovations going on the property was still quiet and construction did not affect my stay. Hot tub could be a little hotter but other than that was good.

The pool area was small and crowded the area was under construction so not a good time in the pool atea. The room was good

We were not informed that there was going to be construction on the exterior of the building. The hotel manager advised us that they had let Expedia know and that they had it posted on their website however, Expedia did not let us know. Therefore, we experienced several issues the hotel did compensate us in the end, but the one of the main reasons we went there and booked this hotel was for the pool which was out of service until the last day we were there very, very, very disappointing.

Great place for me and my family

It was awesome service and clean. Would of been a 5 stars but itvwas under construction and the hot tub was cold. Cant wait to stay here when construxtion is done.

We really enjoyed our stay at the Hamptom. We stayed in the King suite, which provided lots of room for a longer stay and the option to cook some of our own meals. The breakfasts were ample and the staff are really kind and accommodating. The area around the hotel isn't very interesting to walk around but the LRT station is close so you can easily get to places. We'd definitely stay again.

Would Definitely Stay Here Again!

We stayed there a Thursday night and Friday night and were really happy with our stay. There were renovations going on outside but you would have never guessed because you couldn't really hear any of it. For us we really appreciated that they were actually updating the hotel. The renovations were only until 4:30 p.m. during the week and nothing on the weekend so they were very considerate of their guests. The hotel room was really quiet, even at 8:00 a.m.! The continental breakfast was really good and there was plenty of seating to accommodate the guests. My only recommendation is that there would be more gluten free options. Luckily for me I am not celiac and am just gluten sensitive so I could get away with eating the breakfast provided. There is underground parking for the guests. It is secure because you need your room key to get into the parkade. You need your room key to use the elevator to get to your room. We really enjoyed our stay and would definitely stay at this hotel again! Thank you for the wonderful stay Hampton Inn & Suites By Hilton!

The secured underground parking is excellent, the breakfast buffet was decent. The front fascade is under going a renovation that effects the pool area, still open but notvthe bright sunny area if the glass panels were installed. Staff was very helpful and prompt to questions and knowledgable.

Hotel is tired and needs to have some up dates. Carpet in room was dirty. When we arrived both windows were open, once we closed the windows the room had a musty Oder. They’re fixing the roof and the work began shortly after 7 am if you could have slept in a bit the noise fixed that . Likely won’t stay here again
